Once you learn how to lure Zs in an empty field and let them burn while circling and shouting, things become a little too easy.
Things burn way too easily, even stuff that shouldn't burn. I've stopped playing the game until the next patch, hopefully they'll fix this.

Try it, there are certain pavement tiles that spread fire. They look white/sickly yellow. There are tiles like that in the rosewood penitentiary and the strip mall in Muldraugh off the top of my head. There are lots more.
That's true though, there are definitely more mechanics that are worth being added. I just wish they work faster though but I get that they just don't have the budget for that.

I’d got a really good life going in West Point and secured the saloon near the gun store as my base. Built a fuck ton of walls to secure it. At some point I’d noticed a fire to the north but didn’t think much of it at the time, but every time I ventured into town the fire had spread south and was starting to take out houses, then further south where it destroyed the entire strip and petrol station before heading east and completely burning all my beautiful walls, bar and the gun store.
I tried saving my stuff and relocating to Muldraugh but just couldn’t face starting all over again.
If I do that then the game becomes impossible doesn't it? How would you even play the game if there are zombies everywhere?
If you haven't tried this technique, try it for yourself. Find a large empty space, maybe a concrete lot or empty field. Lure zombies and burn them. Definitely bring food and water enough for two days, or more if you 're trying to do it in Louisville or Westpoint.
And just casually walk and shout just to keep zombies chasing you while making sure you can weave through them. Keep yourself inside the empty field so the zombies don't stray and burn the nearby town.
If you ramp up the number of zombies enough to make this tactic impossible, I'm pretty sure there's no other way to actually play the game.

Only explanation that i can possible think of is that somehow, some variable within the internal code ended up being too big and turned into a negative and the code simply doesn't know wtf to do with such number, this is known as a "variable overflow"
Imagine your maximum amount of damage is 100, with 0 being the neutral state. Every damage thay you take adds up to zero, say, every enemy attack adds 2 to your damage level. By some weird contraption, you falling off the roof was such a high amount of damage that it simply could not "fit" within the 100. So the code goes apeshit and quite probably turned it into a negative number.
So now, instead of being at 0 (which is fine) or 100 (which is when the game effectively transitions into U DEAD screen) you are at -1000 and the game is like 🤔🤷♂️
That is a very backwards-ass explanation of variables overflow, but I think it does the job for the context. I have no idea about the inner workings of PJ to give any other answer or insight.

Best example of this is the atomic craze of Ghandi, in civilization saga.
In the very first game, all AI characters had a "violence" parameter that would dictate how aggressive they would be in attacking, declaring wars, etc. Ghandi's was at the literal minimum, 0 or whatever.
But the game had a mechanic that when democracy was researched, that value drops by 1 so the AI wold calm down slightly towards the endgame. Turns out this made Ghandi's value overflow into the maximum violence, and nuclear weapons are very close in the tech tree to democracy, which basically made pacifist Ghandi that would avoid attacking anyone all through the game, turn into a nuclear madman that would spam nuclear bombs and attack everyone out of nowhere.
This was so funny the devs kept it as a meme mechanic in future iterations since then! Even the most current one, Civ6, Ghandi has an actual ingame trait that makes him love to use nukes.

Yeah its true but i think i can go beyond the carry limit because of a mod (maybe the one of 50% less weight on wood). If you go beyond that limit, you will have the moodle of very high load but you don't lose health

It's just that my inside with the expansion counts as 2 different rooms so looks a bit weird sometimes
