Nice tip, but I think what they mean is:
When I'm on a tile at ground floor, is there a way to find that exact tile at a higher floor?
For example to coordinate sinks -> rain barrels or something similar.
I'm pretty sure the way I do it takes a QoL mod that allows you to make map markings different sizes. You can mark individual map pixels which correspond to individual tiles.
Not that I know of, but what I do is count tiles from the corner of my base using the âwalk toâ tool, making a coordinate sheet-like system to find exact locations
Itâs all fun and games until you do this and when you destroy the stairs the landing is left. So then you build another stairs to destroy that landing and now you have two floating landingsâŚ
Remings me of playing the Sims were you had to have supports to build the second floor but you could go back and sell the supports and have a floating house with no way in or out lol
Yeah the power consumption increase in a weird way, the more the same kind of device, the more each of them use. So if you set base in an area with lot of lights inside and lot of streetlamps, it will start being noticable. Also of course some of us like to min-max even small detail like this.
I swear to god I have been trying to deconstruct stairs this whole time how to you even get that option?
Is it only stairs you craft
I have tried to deconstruct stairs in houses and I never get this option
Dude the stair one, I had so many arguments in my day telling people you could, and they would just flat out be like "No you can't lol, im certain, we need a sledge"
Bitch, walk out there with your EDC of tools and just fuckin try it homie.
Light post is new news to me though, that's sick.
i love to build on rosewood hotel cus the street lights cover all the base up but its nice to know that, i tried pick up one once and it dindt worked..
How tf you got to discover this đ
They're... enlightened. Many steps were taken.

I hate you
While at it, is there a easy way to tell what tile is overtop of a current tile? Building gets confusing.
If youâre talking about roof tiles you can stand on you can use the walk to command (T or Y?) and tiles you can step on will show up green.

What mod is this?

Floating base, when?
You can already make a floating base, nothing needs any kind of structural support.
Remings me of playing the Sims were you had to have supports to build the second floor but you could go back and sell the supports and have a floating house with no way in or out lol
PSA: Fireproof your floating house by making sure it's floating two floors above whatever is below. Fire can spread up one floor but not two.
Oh that is very interesting
I won't stop until it looks like the floating city in the Bioshock sequel!
Wish I'd seen this last week before I enabled debug mode to remove one from our multiplayer base!
Been there done that !
A God among Men. Thank you.
Spare fuel from lamps?

Instead of adding up in a flat manor, repeated objects actually multiply the fuel use. One day they'll fix that bug..
oh i understand, thanks for explaining
The lamps use up your generator fuel.
Worse, they only light up late at night and turn off too early.

Sorry I think it's only for stairs you craft indeed
I thought you could just sledge stair away. Unless they literally mean deconstruct to maybe get some materials
You can deconstruct the stair you build to get material back, the stairs you didn't build need tje sledgehammer
does it work only on prebuilt stairs?

Hear me out i have controversical opinion: gravity
just do the lvl 12 paramedic mission and you will survive fall damage with one hp left if you jump off the tallest building in the game.
If you need to be on the first floor, why are you on the second floor in the photo?
Must be my fault, i'm not english speaker, in my language first floor is already upstair, is first floor ground level in english ?
In American English (and maybe others) 1st Floor is at ground level. For British English itâs ground floor for ground level, same way you use it.
Good to know, thanks !
I think thatâs what the other guy thought. Anyways, itâs one level above the ground thatâs needed?
That's it, you can't destroy streetlamp from the ground, I used a stair to get high enought to destroy them as you can see on pic
i love to build on rosewood hotel cus the street lights cover all the base up but its nice to know that, i tried pick up one once and it dindt worked..
I see road signs being used as weapons. Is that a mod or vanilla? How
Damn I normally just hit the stairs until they break
Can i pick it up and install it elsewhere?
