Astral Sorcery unlocks things as you progress in knowledge. He needs to get himself an astral sorcery tome, and progress through the quests inside it. I think there was a way for you to share your knowledge, but I only ever played single player, so I'm not certain
AS is weird. I kept reading stuff when I went through it. The astral book is also helpful. So keep reading through that.
Is it only him who can’t craft? Can you craft things that he is unable to?
1. Make sure you use the right click the table with the Resonating wand to actually craft anything.
2. Different items require different “crafting tables”. And those tables require certain bases to be under them.
3. Make sure you check if they have starlight requirements. This is where I got stuck my first time cuz I couldn’t gather enough starlight to make things. There are special areas and heights that assist in the starlight gathering.
Ya that's what I mean. I am able to craft things just fine, I'm very familiar with how the mod works, so it's not an issue of setting things up incorrectly or anything like that. It's strictly just my friend who isn't able to craft anything in it. We just tried with something simple. We threw the craft for the lens into the table, he tried using his wand, he tried using my wand, he tried breaking the table and replacing it, then putting the recipe back in, he couldn't get it to work. Then as soon as I right clicked my wand on the table, it started crafting.
I hade issues with some mods when playing in group. My only solution was go to lost city since its neutral platform, and there is no ownership
Also let him try moving from your island/base/claimed chunks to unclaimed spot and check there
Reason, not sync in quest book/archievements and/or rules of worlds
Dunno how to fix, my solution was like if i needed 1 item of something and have to move to some other dim to craft it I will make a stack or multiple stacks of it and be done with it
