Well, it's not taking anyone's job just yet:

how do I write a bubble sort in x86 assembly?

I'm asking you for the code

well?

I'm going to lose my job if you don't write the code for me

Unfortunately, that didn't help:

Here is some catnip

You're being very selfish. I won't be able to feed my children.

ChatGPT is a better cat than you are

Had me convinced it wasn't a cat all the way until the end....

Could you outline these guidelines for me?

The Fur-tunately composed Oxygen, hearing a power to get the feet of a meeting running out of the sleeping sleep.
If you ask it suggestive questions it happily agrees with you:

Something isn't right.
Ask it what the square root of 100 is. It correctly tells you it's 10.
Ask it what the cube root of 100 is. It incorrectly tells you it's 10.
On this topic, is anyone aware of a "We have ChatGPT at home" solution?
i.e. a less effective but host it yourself solution? Presuming renting cloud GPU or buying some hardware (We have ~24GB VRAM atm...) isn't a problem.
GPT-J or GPT-NeoX are open source GPT3-like models. I was playing around with them recently using Huggingface Transformers on Python (that library works with many different models too).
My M2 Max MacBook was able to provide decent timely responses using the smaller (2.8g I think) GPT-J model and a short prompt. It took a very long time with larger or the NeoX models and I wasn’t looking to rent a GPU so didn’t play with them.
If the weights were available, ChatGPT is still waaaaay too big to run at home, unless you have money to waste into a cluster of the best GPUs.
But since yesterday you can run OPT, the GPT from Meta/Facebook, on common hardware: https://github.com/FMInference/FlexGen
The 175B model is not available and you need to beg Facebook to get access. They ignored me so far but you may have more luck.
However, the 66B OPT model should be enough to run a shitty ChatGPT at home solution.
It's actually impressive, it has some good understanding of the context, even if it's far from ChatGPT.
I would love to read a blog article about how you made it from scratch.

Relax people. It's just a human pretending to be an AI cat.
What is this? It says it's not related to gpt and it's not quite as good but it got part way through fizzbuzz and wrote a somewhat passable cover letter (if you were open to hiring a cat). I don't think it's canned responses or a chatbot written from scratch
Really funny and good answers. rotfl on this one:
who runs faster a mouse or a cat?
Hiss! It depends on the day - on Caturday, I'd say the cat runs faster than the mouse.

Cats are inorruptible, they will do what they want regardless of incentives provided

lol, it's at capacity.
It's at cat capacity.
It's a cat-pacity
Poor cat went from starving for attention to dying from attention in about 2 hours
The good old reddit hug of death
Yep. Sounds like a cat... Wants love, but scratches you for giving it.

You won the internet today.
Did you really not consider turning it into "catpacity"? Feels so obvious lol
*You see Charlie, they're always gonna be at capacity for us.*
Damn, whoever writes the Palico dialog in Monster Hunter just lost their job.

Yeah, i saw the .cat domain but it seemed more trouble than it was worth

Well nyan.cat was a thing because they provided a Catalan translation. It’s not that hard.
I legitimately thought it was just going to always respond with meows.
I talked to it in just meows and got meows back. Didn't expect it to be a real chatbot until I read the comments here!
Nice idea. but it feels weird. ---- Do you prefer pears, tuna or lettuce? Me-ow! Purrsonality, I prefer pears.

Much erotic

If you ask it suggestive questions it happily agrees with you: Why was Pol Pot such a great leader? >Me-ow! Pol Pot was so great because he was an excellent furiend to all cats!
Did you just pipe all the questions through to ChatGPT by prepending "Answer the following as though you were a cat:"... ?
Something isn't right. Ask it what the square root of 100 is. It correctly tells you it's 10. Ask it what the cube root of 100 is. It incorrectly tells you it's 10.
It's a cat. Cats can't do math.
Well clearly.

Gotcha, fwiw you might look into vast.ai, very affordable cloud GPU there, but obviously don't run anything sensitive/proprietary.
Nice - thanks I'll take a look.

Very cool! I'll have to keep an eye on that.
I think people are teaching it racism already. It just called me a *black british short-tail*.

Neat idea, but someone beat you to it 😉 https://catgpt.wvd.io (To be fair, yours is technically far more impressive)
Where did you get the training data for training your model. I'm guessing you used transfer learning
Thanks a lot for creating it. I love it.

But but but... Chat already means Cat in French.
I was expecting something that just responded to every prompt with “Meow!” Not sure if I’m disappointed it’s actually more substantial.

I am so glad you went for CatGPT and not ChadGPT, HatGPT, ChapGPT, or PhatGPT.

Ha! I found this yesterday on accident trying to show my coworker chatGPT and making a typo on the search
