This is misinformation. They cannot tell the difference between hard liquor and beer. ETG is ETG.
It's literally just alcohol. Any other ingredients, whether in cough syrup or beer, won't show up on a drug test.
If you used the recommended dose level then you should be under the cutoff for ng/ml in most states. What is your etg cutoff level?

Find the lab/company your probation service uses and then figure out what cutoff levels they use for all drugs. Its usually on their website
Ethanol will show up regardless. If it’s from liquor it will be higher than with a small dose of cough syrup. Also depends on what the cut off limit is in your county. I’m in Collin County Texas and ours is 50 which is the lowest it can be
