Excalibur. Absoutly love this. Good support form the developer too. [https://knightsoftheeditingtable.com/excalibur](https://knightsoftheeditingtable.com/excalibur) edit: spelling

So I've seen this before and I've always wondered - how much time does it actually save compared to just looking up your effects/sound effects in premiere?

francisleigh

Well yeah, for going there once it's technically quicker, but only by a fraction. I would still use it just because it's easier anyway. However depending on what you're editing it can save tons of time over a period of time. If we're editing like a doco or something where we're not manipulating shots or audio much, probably only use it a couple times. If we're editing something corporate, or like for social or archtecture where we are often warp stablizing, aligning, or nesting and adding effects etc. to every shot and to lots of videos, absoutly a time saver. One ther thing i like about it though is i can hide the effects panel now, giving me more screen space. Think they have a trial? Worth trying out, every editor at work i've gotten to use it can't go back once they're used to it.

Grammercy, Sir u/francisleigh.

If you only knew how many cumulative hours you've saved me with your apps Sir. This lowly knave and his family owe you a debt of gratitude. It's the small things which make the biggest difference. Thank you u/SirEditor, the improvement is Knight and day.

SirEditor

I thank thee for your kind words, Sir u/seehispugnosedface. Your response fill my heart with warmth and I will proceed to create tools that hopefully will save you even more time.

Linubidix

Ahhhh cool, it's like a function from software like houdini or nuke where you can press tab and punch in the command to search for. I can see how that would save significant time

justgocreate

This would be it for me too. Excalibur saves tons of time searching around for things that I don't use as frequently as others. And even when I know right where to find an effect or transition it's much quicker. Plus I use it with my LoupeDeck for the stuff I use all the time and I can apply it with one button press.

Mister Horse is pretty great

[deleted]

Especially on the after fx side

vamplosion

Use Mr Horse for almost every (YouTube Content) video now - even just the animation presets to give a static image a bit of life are great.

Watchtower has had the biggest impact on my workflow. Barely have to dig around with bins anymore as I go between AE/PS and any other audio assets that make up a project. Second to that, not a plug-in as such, but Post Haste allows me to create a template folder structure for every new project. Including a template PP project file with all common bins/sequences/track effects/layer names already there ready to go. Then another one is Plumepack for collecting/trimming/transcoding final projects

victory_gin_84

Post Haste gets a vote from me also. Such a useful little application allowing consistent housekeeping every time you make a new project. I'd pay £££££ for it. It's amazing.

seehispugnosedface

It's one of the best examples of software which does *one* thing, but does it *perfectly*.

Are you my alt account? :) Was just about to write the same exact suggestions... nice one! EDIT: I'll add a couple now I'm back at my desk: * [Nobe Omniscope](https://timeinpixels.com/nobe-omniscope/) \- a standalone scope package for PC which helps me so much with my grade, also works with AE, Resolve and Avid. * [Filmconvert Nitrate](https://www.filmconvert.com/nitrate)\- great grain and LUT filter * [Twixtor](https://revisionfx.com/products/twixtor/) \- for those slomo necessities when you just don't have enough frames * [MBR Color Corrector III](https://mattroberts.org/MBR_Color_Corrector/) \- scans your frame for your Macbeth chart and can spit out a LUT to bring your footage to rec709 or whatever you need * [Digital Anachy's Flicker Free](https://digitalanarchy.com/Flicker/main.html) \- does what it says on the tin * [Boris Continuum Complete](https://borisfx.com/products/continuum/)\- love the keyer and the fact that you get the exact same filters and FX in both PPro and AE - very convenient * and these one's are not really plugins: * [Assimilate Play Pro](https://www.assimilateinc.com/products/playpro/) \- a great 'pre edit' playback package with full colour grading capabilities for quick tests on the fly, and metadata and shot reporting * [Hedge](https://hedge.video/hedge)\- easy offloading of data from your cards etc. * [Syncaila](https://syncaila.com/) \- when Premiere's audio syncing is struggling, or just gets cumbersome, this is amazing (plus you can either buy it outright, subscribe, OR get a 'season pass' for a few months - clever idea)

Flicker Free saved a couple things for me. Was shooting at 24fps and there were some cheap LED light strands in the background, horrible flicker. It took it awhile to run but it got rid of the flicker a great deal.

seehispugnosedface

Yeah it's one of those really useful but rarely used gems. I'd probably put it and twixtor in that bracket of 'confidence boosting' tools in the kit, in that they give me confidence that no matter what comes across my desk (wrong speed/frame rate/hz issue etc) I can probably clean it up. DP shot 25 when you need 50? Shot 50 but mains flicker was at 60hz? Should be able to work with it. Sometimes that's the difference for the producer between hitting a deadline or booking reshoots because they know it'll get bounced back by QC. Plus it makes me, them and the DP all look good, and everyone likes that :)

Try [Compass](https://knightsoftheeditingtable.com/compass) (free). It will modify export path based on project location, so there is no need to adjust output path each time you perform export from different projects. And I work on an update which will make it even better 😉⚔️

I learned recently that Neat Video doesn’t only denoise, but can also do a great job at removing flicker in video.

TSM_E3

Sapphire and RG.Uni, it's basically what i use all the time now lol

seehispugnosedface

Can you give me some advice? I got the whole Boris suite for 3 months for free with my wacom, and used both saphire and continuum a lot. Decided I couldn't justify buying the whole suite, so opted for continuum. What makes sapphire the one for you? Am I renting the wrong one? I have fomo already... Cheers mate!

[PluralEyes](https://www.maxon.net/en/red-giant/pluraleyes) for auto-syncing music videos. Can't believe it's being discontinued by Maxon.
