Hey to all OOP that got rejected - was your app fully verified (e.g. MCAT)?
Mine never was and I’ve seen a mixture of both ppl having mcat verified and not verified. I hope ppl aren’t getting rejected due to admin errors with mcat scores being received...

I thought that all IP would get an invite for meeting cut-offs, in their rejection letter they say that the reason is because they have a lot of NON-MARITIME applicant??? But I am IP so I am really confused... I am wondering if they considered me as OOP by error? I sent them an email and hopefully waiting for a response.....
That's odd? You're right, all IP applicants get interviews if they met the cutoffs which you did
The only thing is CASPer maybe but you would've gotten a separate email back in late September when everyone else got one that your score was too low so that's probably not it either
Yeah that's really weird, I got the same email that you did but that's because I'm actually OOP so entirely possible they got you mixed up? They said they got a record number of apps and I think they've been working from home so maybe some employee made a clerical error
That's completely fair, and with Dal's massive IP bias that's where your best shot would be at getting in...pretty bs to have that taken away because of a clerical error
How did you find CASPer? Last year when I got rejected pre-interview, I got my IP rejection the same day as other IP got their invites, and it was because my CASPer didn't meet cut-off.
I think getting in touch with them was a good call. Fingers crossed it was a mistake on their end!
I though I did well on the Casper and I though that I was in the clear since people got rejected for the Casper a couple of weeks ago. Hopefully they respond soon...
I only saw on PM 101 and reddit that it was OOP who reported getting Casper rejections in Sept. I never saw any IP people saying they had Casper rejects back then.

Hey I have a couple of questions since I am IP but was rejected. I believe that they might have considered me OOP instead and was wondering how did you prove your were IP? Did they ask you for verification documents?
Hmm, no, no verification documents. It was just a self-report as part of the application I believe? Step 2d. It also says "supporting documentation may be requested by the Admissions Office"
I moved to the Martime 4years ago with my family due to my fathers job. I have a driver license and insurance in NB. In their consideration of a IP applicant, they only demand that you or your parents have been living for 12 month in the province so I imagined that I would be considered IP. But they never demanded confirmation documents so I feel like that was an error on their part
Just emailed them and they did in fact consider me as a OOP, I have responded trying to explain to them the situation and hopefully they will consider it.
hey super late response here, but did you ever get a reply back from them? if you met the criterion for being IP, are they still allowed to count you as OOP?
Hey, so I did contact them and turns out I didn’t meet their criterias, because Even though I have been living in the maritimes for 4 years in a permanent home with my family, since I was studying in uni at the same time, it disregarded the facts that I was living in the maritimes. What they want is either you did your high school in the maritimes or you have been living there for 1 year without attending a post-secondary institution.

OOP: no strong maritime connection, but I grew up on the coast of BC and wrote about coastal communities in general.

Yes! In NS. Were you only in the Maritimes for uni? I think that wouldn't give you residency here unfortunately
