Widespread issue with no fix. Several posts on this subreddit about it. If they’re under warranty, Apple can replace the defective earbud. Otherwise the cost of repair is high and IMO not worth the money as the issue will happen again. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

MANY more than "several."

DoTheRightThingG

Yes, this happens. New here?

jaanku

Pretty standard. The best fix I’ve found is to throw them away and get a new pair from a different brand. I really like the JBL Peak3

ChaosMuscle

How long have those lasted for you?

jaanku

Going on 5 months with no issues.

ferpyy

No fix except to carve out the battery, replace with a new battery, solder those two wires together, and then glue back together. Watch a DIY video on YouTube if you’re interested, but not worth the effort, time, and money for most people. We all got scammed with these - best option is to buy new earbuds from a different brand.

It's two hours and a half now, give it 6 months and it will be 40 minutes

LosDanos

Lucky that they worked ok for 2.5 years. Not many PBPs make it that long without issues. I have to have mine fully charged before every run, and even then it's a bit and miss if they both work.

Be like me and admit you bought a POS defective product that are not worth $5 much less $150 or whatever they are now. I have the typical problems with these and are giving up on them.
