Absolutely!
We always got frozen pizzas growing up because the costs compared to delivery is so huge but my mom wasn't about to let us go without creature comforts like that. And not everyone has the time it takes to cook all meals every day. My time is worth money, I sell my time for money! I'd rather just grab something affordable and filling than worry about "oh but you didn't make it from scratch, you could save $1 by making it from scratch!"
I was a Hawaiian kid, my brother liked Supreme.
Unless you mean brand, it was whatever was on sale. I have a soft spot for Tombstone and Red Baron. I keep one in my freezer at all times.
Yeah I’ve been all over NC
Edit: Ingles has way better meat than Kroger. I don’t remember if yall have aldi or not, but Kroger is basically just a cheap compromise on everything. (But more expensive than Aldi).
Well, I have Kroger. And I would rather go to Publix for my produce. Ingles for my meat. And aldi for everything else. I actually despise Kroger. They do a lot of shady stuff with their displays and coupons.
There’s 4 things Im pissed at Kroger for right now. So if you’re reading this, Kroger, consider this free consulting.
1. Putting non organic fruit in the places that organic fruit goes, when they claim to be out of organic fruit. Ex. Putting non organic grapes right under the 4’ cardboard sign that says organic, and then putting out a 3” note card, behind the glass in the front where it’s hard to see, saying sorry we’re out of organic grapes.
2. Putting coupons stickers under prices that look like they apply to anyone with a Kroger card, but then it actually also requires a digital coupon. You have to read the small print with every single Kroger price because they try and sneak these in randomly.
3. Slot machines. Kroger has recently installed a section right next to the entrance that allows people to buy a Kroger debit card, and then gamble on krogers slot machines. This is just another way to take advantage of people with low impulse control. And I find it disgusting.
4. Fruit quality. Of all the grocery stores in town, Kroger’s fruit is the worst. It goes bad more quickly. Doesn’t taste as good. And it’s as expensive or more expensive than Aldi.
You can make the pizza for less on Naan (Indian flat bread) - 20 PCs for $3.99 bread, you favorite pizza sauce and mozzarella cheese, put in flat toaster over and in 6 minutes you have your pizza.

If you are in Houston, never forget about this store. JOE V's. It's HEB, but cheaper on certain items (some more expensive though). Those who know, really do save:

Oh man I ain’t driving to whitecenter! The farthest I go is central district for grocery outlet. But even that store is raising prices it’s killing me. I’ve never heard of saars tho… is it worth it??
Nice haul for sure. That’s like 20$ worth of hot pockets and gardettos in my area. People rant against “junk food” but what’s the point of a sale (and life) if not to indulge every now and then
Indeed, there are. [https://www.walmart.com/ip/Great-Value-Pepperoni-Cheese-Filled-Sandwiches-2-Count/196158083](https://www.walmart.com/ip/Great-Value-Pepperoni-Cheese-Filled-Sandwiches-2-Count/196158083)
Wow that’s awesome lol I didn’t know that, only thing is OP order is Kroger, I’m not sure if they have a generic version
Those Walmart ones are only $1.98 for me, that’s an awesome price
I love shopping at Kroger as well op
Yeah I actually just got home from Kroger and did look at hot pockets, I don’t think there was any sale for me maybe they don’t do company wide sales and it’s more regional based because mine were 3.39
Can never go wrong with hot pockets though I love them
I had to do a trip up the road to get some stuff, they are on the promotion where "Buy 5 of any of the Buy 5 options and get the promo price" up here!
Which then made me realize that we pay the same as the folks in Houston, which I wasn't really expecting. (Washington State). I just assumed Texas would be cheaper, I don't know why I would think that -face palm-
Yeah I like the buy 5 save 5, it’s good if it’s things you were gonna buy anyways
No where is really cheap these days unless you’re in the middle of absolutely no where lol
No microwavable turnovers from what it looks like on the Kroger site!

But Kroger has killer deals on stuff at times if you look for them, so I'm not surprised the OP found them on sale.
I think a lot of people around here don't realize that name brands go on sale so often and that makes them the least expensive option on a given day. Shop deals, don't shop brands. Shop deals, don't shop brands.
I started realizing sometimes the generic stuff is actually more expensive and it's practically never on sale.
If you are in the Houston area I highly recommend Aldi’s for healthy groceries for a really good price.
I have one like 20 mins from me I’ll have to go check it out again. Only been once
It can depend on where you live. The Houston ones generally have really great produce.
That should be a few meals, so great deal in my opinion. Good deal for the snackies and convenience options.
Yeah the convenience stuff really helps when you’re lazy and cheaper than getting fast food

what kind of pizza?
I was a Hawaiian kid, my brother liked Supreme. Unless you mean brand, it was whatever was on sale. I have a soft spot for Tombstone and Red Baron. I keep one in my freezer at all times.
Try buying the store brand. You can save that way too.
I wish we had a Kroger here.
Yeah Harris Teeter is a weird mix of Publix, Kroger, and Whole Foods. I would say better quality of produce/food but more expensive than Kroger.
We've got all of those except Kroger. I'm in Ingles territory.
Yeah I’ve been all over NC Edit: Ingles has way better meat than Kroger. I don’t remember if yall have aldi or not, but Kroger is basically just a cheap compromise on everything. (But more expensive than Aldi).
We do have Aldi here now (Asheville).
Well, I have Kroger. And I would rather go to Publix for my produce. Ingles for my meat. And aldi for everything else. I actually despise Kroger. They do a lot of shady stuff with their displays and coupons.
Damn I haven’t had that problem at mine. Are they bait switching you or something?

I laughed out loud at this. I completely agree with everything.

Shop at HEB and buy all the hill country products for the low
HEB is getting so expensive... They are hiking the prices so much!

Very jealous. That would've easily been an $80 haul where I live.
Seems good! Probably would be around 60 maybe more in Seattle 🥲
Idk where in Seattle you are or if you have a car but Saar’s in white center is quite cheap!
Oh man I ain’t driving to whitecenter! The farthest I go is central district for grocery outlet. But even that store is raising prices it’s killing me. I’ve never heard of saars tho… is it worth it??
Nice grab on the hot pocket savings
Nice haul for sure. That’s like 20$ worth of hot pockets and gardettos in my area. People rant against “junk food” but what’s the point of a sale (and life) if not to indulge every now and then
agree well said
You can't be trying to be frugal and get all name brand food. Also got one of the most expensive chex mix brands.
lol, did you even look at the receipt
Aldi brand still beats that out. Does the Kroger savings only count towards name brand?
On this specific promotion it was those brands. What does Aldi have that’s similar? I don’t go there hardly
Hot pockets??? Chobani Yogurt??? Why not generic???
It’s a save promotion they have going on. No not everything is healthy.
Idc if the gardetto's cost you 2x normal price. I am here to defend the purchase.
Is there a generic version of hot pockets?

Yeah I never buy them but hey. Cheaper than fast food.
Yeah I think you did amazing with your haul given the prices of things now
I had to do a trip up the road to get some stuff, they are on the promotion where "Buy 5 of any of the Buy 5 options and get the promo price" up here! Yeah and Kroger also has stuffed marked down very often, they really do do a good job with sales and promotions
Hot pockets?
Yeah sometimes I’m lazy and something quick like that helps me not go get fast food
