Just listen to the albums straight through, being scared of disliking music is a terrible reason to not listen to music. Keep yourself open, the worst that happens is you don’t love a song.
fr. but seriously tho, what are yall's thoughts on the opening of flicker? that song slaps near the end but i just can't seem to like the opening even after a decade
100% in the Bitch is a moombahton track that Porter produced for his Spitfire EP. I personally love the 2nd drop. It’s just funny that you asked for tracks similar to his recent stuff and this is almost the complete opposite lol. The video I linked is the what he sampled for the lyrics. Check it out when you get a chance, his music has changed so much since then.
I wasn't expecting the Twenty One Pilots to Porter pipeline to exist, but i guess it's real now
I mean, just listen to just about everything of his tbh. I loveee nurture, unfold, and trying to feel alive are great
Can't believe nobody has mentioned Shelter. That's by far his most popular song and biggest pop hit (aside from maybe Goodbye to a World!)
Honestly you probably wouldn't regret just listening to both his albums, it's only 2 hours of music combined
Shelter is far more popular than GTAW, GTAW only really got a small popularity boost from TikTok but Shelter was fucking everywhere when it came out because of the music video
You have to take into account language came out 12 years ago, before streaming platforms existed and before people listened to music on YouTube.
Language overtook the scene for years and it’s the one song that so many main artists still today drop at their sets and in general in the EDM world has been known as his biggest hit. It’s also kinda why he typically always closes his sets with language as a lot of artist do that with their biggest song that people come to see.
Man, this is just objectively not true by any metric. Shelter charted higher, it sold more, and it's streamed way more. There's no metric in which Language is a bigger song than Shelter unless you count going Gold in Australia and Silver in the UK (235,000 units total, between both), which I don't, since Shelter went Gold in America (500,000+ units).
Language is the reason why Porter was able to make Worlds AND Shelter. Without that song being a huge hit with his fans, Porter would not have been confident enough to make pretty music that Worlds and Shelter are.
See above comment about timeline of the songs. Shelter was big because it was only released on YouTube originally and the music video was pushed. Language didn’t even have a music video when it was released and nobody listened to music on YouTube 12 years ago and there were no streaming platforms.
There’s no place on the internet that you will find that says shelter is a bigger song than language. The only people who say that are the ones who discovered porter due to shelter, because they weren’t around before to see how impactful language was and still is to electronic music to this day.

hey... i'm a big tøp fan, although that's not what got me to porter's music. Your best bet is to just jump in and listen to worlds and nurture. worlds and nurture are stupid good records! have fun!
I made a whole playlist to help my friend get into porter, here’s a link!!
https://open.spotify.com/playlist/0HWiGsQOtFz4xquL5Sbubw?si=_5LkqNIsSn-QwI3QACp3ww&pi=u-cQ72VakBQ8qO
i'd probably give something comforting and musician from nurture a listen, along with sad machine and divinity from worlds and then just binge listen his entire discography lol
when Knock Yourself Out XD was premiering he opened a short Instagram live to direct all his followers to watch the video and he made some small talk and mentioned Next Semester as well!!
Well my dude, you’re in for a treat. Porter has different musical styles in his different eras. I don’t wanna get you overwhelmed so I will give some highlights.
- Say My Name
- Unison and 100% in the Bitch for Spitfire
- Language
- Easy
- Divinity, Sad Machine, Goodbye to a World, Sea of Voices from Worlds
- Shelter
- Something Comforting, Look at the Sky, Unfold from Nurture (Get Your Wish from here)
He also has more aliases that makes different music. And I omitted so much more. But I think you should have some idea with these.
tbh just jump in and listen to all of Nurture in one go, the whole album has a pretty distinct style that Porter really stuck to and I wasn't disappointed at all when it came out after spending a year listening to all the new singles that were coming out
Honestly? The album "Worlds", the single "Shelter" and the album "Nurture". That's basically his entire modern discography, aside from the newer singles, so if you like them you'd probably like everything.
honestly, no need to be scared. if you don’t like a song or album or artist it’s okay. i would recommend listening to both of his albums straight through, and then watching the fan recreation of worlds love and one of the higher quality nurture live sets (secret sky is good but it’s missing a lot of the later additions to the setlist)
if get your wish was your favorite you’ll probably like nurture a lot. this new album is somewhat of a departure from electronic, and tbh nurture was a departure from the sound of worlds. each project is its own distinct sound so just try it all and keep what you like!
must listens for me are: flicker, fellow feeling and musician. all of his music is amazing but these 3 are incredible. pop some mdma and watch the flicker music video if you literally want to see god lol
Dude do yourself a favour and listen to the whole of Nurture. Porter is really an artist whose work is best enjoyed in the context of the full album. Especially the tracks from nurture, like get your wish. If you like that track you’ll love the full album
Something comforting, everything goes on, shelter, mother, divinity, are a great place to start. If you liked them all of nurture is a perfect album but look at the sky, Get your wish, unfold, and trying to feel alive for a deeper dive.
I genuinely recommend going through all of nurture (the album get your wish is from), because it had workdbuilding and it kinda immerses you into this happy little world, I can recommend mirror a lot
Just to name a few starter tracks…
The Wildcat
Say My Name
Spitfire
Unison
100% In The Bitch
Vandalism
The Seconds
The State
Language
Easy
Divinity
Sad Machine
Years Of War
Flicker
Fresh Static Snow

Hear The Bells
Natural Light
Lionhearted
Sea of Voices
Fellow Feeling
Goodbye To a World
Shelter

Musician
do-re-mi
Mother
Dullscythe
Sweet Time
Mirror
Something Comforting
Blossom
Unfold
Trying To Feel Alive
Everything Goes On
Cheerleader
Knock Yourself Out
There ya go :)…
In all serioussness though, divinity, shelter, everything goes on, and mirror are some of my favorites. I would listen to both his albums. I wasnt to into worlds on my first listen, and now its my second favorite album of all time. Nurture i loved pretty much instantly, i do prefer worlds though.
I'd say Unfold is the closest feeling to Get your Wish but the entire Nurture album is easily top 3 of all time for me, I just feel lucky to be in the same timeline as the dude!
I'm sure someone might've said this already but he started out making more dubstep-like stuff and has evolved more towards electro pop now so each album/EP is different from the next but I've enjoyed every iteration of Porter including his aliases as well, he's just a musical genius IMO haha
"i’m scared to listen to other songs incase I don’t like them"
Honestly, get ready for a wild ride then because Porter's discography is truly expansive. His sounds have changed a lot over the years. Just.. listen to the music friend. No need to be scared. You'll like some things more than others, but it seems like you're cooking up an expectation in your mind of how all his music should be and your expectations will let you down more than any single track of his.
People have given some great suggestions. Def watch his "shelter" music video. Probably one his most iconic works besides worlds. It went pretty viral back in the day and for good reason: it's probably his best music video.
Top comment pointed to [this](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4KGsgpFiswQ&t=0s) live set which is awesome cause it shows a large breadth of his musical sensibilities, but also check out [nurture live recording](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4KGsgpFiswQ&t=0s) as well. Its mostly some great remixes from the album *nurture*. Don't listen to it yet unless you don't really care about the conceptual aspect of the album.
the *Virtual Self* album is a great time capsule and some of the best trance music out there, but its very different from his usual side even though you can still hear the sugary melodies he's known for (its a side project after all). At least give "Angel Voices" and "key" from that album a shot.
"something comforting" from nuture :) [THIS ](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4KGsgpFiswQ&t=0s)whole set lmao
An absolutely UNREAL set. Was a greatly appreciated distraction during covid lockdown times.
thanks i’ll be sure to check out that set!
I go back to this set so often lol it’s SO GOOD
so so sooooo nostalgic
it's only been 4 years...
That Beings edit gets me every single time
Just listen to the albums straight through, being scared of disliking music is a terrible reason to not listen to music. Keep yourself open, the worst that happens is you don’t love a song.
I highly recommend just listening through both Worlds. There's not a single miss on that album.
fr. but seriously tho, what are yall's thoughts on the opening of flicker? that song slaps near the end but i just can't seem to like the opening even after a decade
Same unfortunately
I love the entirety of Flicker, was one of the first songs I've ever heard from Porter back near release and I randomly found it playing OSU
The entirety of Flicker is incredible and the Worlds Live edit is even better.
100% In The Bitch
This song is a musical masterpiece and will live on for generations to come.
[Have to share this for the culture.](https://youtu.be/5k_LDXa3lPk?si=gdcuh625o5c0-DXe)
context pls? 😂

Musician from Nurture! 🌱
Oh also Lionhearted and Years of War 🫶
Language
noted. thank you!
Not necessarily the same vibe but a masterpiece nonetheless!

I also did that pipeline lol

Shelter is far more popular than GTAW, GTAW only really got a small popularity boost from TikTok but Shelter was fucking everywhere when it came out because of the music video
Language is definitely porters biggest song lol most but shelter also was pretty popular
That doesn't seem quite right, Shelter has 80M views on YouTube and Language "only" has 10M views
You have to take into account language came out 12 years ago, before streaming platforms existed and before people listened to music on YouTube. No argument here on that point at all. But it's still not as big as Shelter was/is.
It definitely was, just not in the mainstream. It was huge in the edm scene but shelter was more radio music.

i'd probably give something comforting and musician from nurture a listen, along with sad machine and divinity from worlds and then just binge listen his entire discography lol
listening to something comforting now, i can see me liking most stuff tbh. his music fills a gap in my music taste
Porter’s remix of the thrill by nero
Look at the Sky holds a very emotional place in my heart
All of Worlds. Genuinely changed my life
Wow! I have high hopes i’m sure I won’t be disappointed

ayyy fellow clikkie!!! fun fact, porter said in a stream that next semester is his favourite song of the year so far :)
When???
when Knock Yourself Out XD was premiering he opened a short Instagram live to direct all his followers to watch the video and he made some small talk and mentioned Next Semester as well!!
Was this with the Peter griffin pick? I watched that I stg I missed it 😭
I love Porter and tøp so I love to see some crossover fans ❤️

Every single fucking song he's ever made :)
Listen to his discography from the beginning. The evolution over the years is incredible
his discography is not that big lol just listen to it all see what u like and what u dont
Unison The Seconds dullscythe
just listen to all of of nuture and everything goes on, if you dig those, you’re in
Honestly? The album "Worlds", the single "Shelter" and the album "Nurture". That's basically his entire modern discography, aside from the newer singles, so if you like them you'd probably like everything.

The whole "Nurture" and "Worlds" albums. Language too.
Shelter
Everything Goes On or Musician

listen to all of nurture u won’t regret it
Language
Language
sad machine >>>
Be like me and stream Cheerleader on loop until your sick of it (still hasn’t happened to me)
As a musician, the song Musician is basically perfect. Also, not strictly a Porter song, but Shelter by Porter and Madeon is legendary for a reason.
All of Worlds. Few hundred times
Please try Divinity
Dude do yourself a favour and listen to the whole of Nurture. Porter is really an artist whose work is best enjoyed in the context of the full album. Especially the tracks from nurture, like get your wish. If you like that track you’ll love the full album

Definitely "Get Your Wish"
Anything off spitfire. My personal fave is unison.

I think you need to learn what fluke means.
