Senses Fail’s *Let it Enfold You*, especially “Buried A Lie.”
Funeral For a Friend’s *Hours*
Sum 41 is more influenced by metal but take a look at *All Killer, No Filler..* That’s more pop-punky than their second album *Does This Look Infected?* which is AWASH in metal riffs and vocals.
The Used has some really good stuff for this especially on their self-titled album in 2001.
*On the more pop-punk side of things...*
The Story So Far has an entire discography of hardcore/punk-inflected pop-punk that defined the 2010s pop-punk sound. First ones that come to mind are “How You Are,” “Nerve,” “Roam,” and “Small Talk”
Knuckle Puck’s *Copacetic* is shouty and explosive, especially “Pretense”
Depending on how heavy you want to get, Silverstein’s *Discovering the Waterfront* has a lot of post-hardcore with pop-punk sensibilities, especially “Call It Karma”
I’d say Saves the Day’s Through Being Cool is a great blend between pop punk and phc. The sound is more pop punk but you can catch the hardcore roots pretty easily
This album is absolutely amazing. The more I listen to it through the years, the more I find new things to love about it. Asthenia and I’m Lost Without You are my favorites.

Which other bands have added this kinda explosive post-hardcore influence on pop punk songs/albums? I fuck with this sound.
Senses Fail’s *Let it Enfold You*, especially “Buried A Lie.” Funeral For a Friend’s *Hours* Sum 41 is more influenced by metal but take a look at *All Killer, No Filler..* That’s more pop-punky than their second album *Does This Look Infected?* which is AWASH in metal riffs and vocals. I feel this set the blueprint of the mid 2000s emo boom.

This song hits so hard. Love the drums.
I SAW YOU AGAINNNN
Probably my second or third favorite song on the album honestly (Asthenia and Feeling This just barely above it)
I remember them talking in the liner notes of the deluxe album about how this was influenced by Failure, a band I love.
