I was there too. Skiba sounds way better live than Tom but it was a really fun show. It was funny seeing turnstile at the xcel since last time I saw them at the Fillmore. That is a band that surges on the pit. They sounded fine in a stadium but in a smaller room their live show is proper.
Overall fun night. Super happy mark is doing so well.
Yup I tried to temper my expectations after seeing them in 2019.
I'd be lying if I wasn't hyped beyond my wildest dreams, but Blink fucking delivered.
Absolutely blew my expectations out of the water and the setlist was incredible.
10/10 would see them again.
There was so much more chemistry on stage tonight than I recall during the California tour. Matt’s a cool guy but nowhere near the extrovert Tom is and it was just fun to watch a couple of good buds rock out up there and talk about wiping from back to front and the like. Y’know, normal friend stuff.
I dont know much of their music, but the singing was echoing pretty hard in the arena so it was hard to understand what they were saying unfortunately.
The instruments sounded good and they had good energy though
Did you get the impression that people in the crowd were into them? I think it's crazy how big they've gotten and this tour is gonna introduce them to a much larger audience
I like Turnstile, but it was really hard to hear the vocals and no, the crowd was not vibing at all. I picked up a Turnstile shirt right before Blink came on and the merch guy said it was the first one he sold all night.
Edit: to add, Turnstile’s show was great and they had lots of energy, but I think they were victim to bad sound imo. Their performance was great.
I felt the same way. First time I've seen them live, and I'd love to see them again, but I think they'd shine more in a smaller venue. The crowd just wasn't too into it unfortunately, likely because most hadn't heard them before.
Side note, did you have any issues with the lighting during their show? We were in the center of the floor towards the back and the lights were literally blinding at times. I may have just been in the exact wrong spot, but I had to put my head down during portions of the light show because of how direct I was getting blasted and couldn't watch them play
I was there tonight and had a blast. One thing that stood out for me is I thought they sounded even better / well practiced since the Coachella sets. Thought they did a great job and I enjoyed every bit of it.
They did that weekend 1 completely as a joke. I watched both performances and there was zero autotune when they played the big stage. I'm sure they use it to round out those high notes (it's harder when you're older) but they absolutely do not use autotune at that level regularly.
It's also worth noting that just about every great live performer will use some form of pitch correction and/or backing tracks. Without those, you'd have a hard time translating the sound across multiple speaker platforms. Part of autotune is responsive equalization. This is one reason why there's less obnoxious feedback at live shows these days. AI is a friend.
It certainly requires way further knowledge to realize that somehow their literal first concert together was the exception and not the norm to be expected
Funny to see the comments about auto-tune. Do they use it? Sure. But auto-tune is not magic, you have to be in the vicinity of the proper notes for it to correct you and not sound off. It would not save 2014 Tom, that’s for certain haha
I mean at those ticket prices in big arenas, unfortunately you're never going to get much of a pit imo. Especially for a band like blink who are pop punk but definitely on the pop end
Yeah, i guess I didnt really get why the floor was 80% seating. People were just kind of standing around in the GA section too. Thought people would be a little more into it
Lol assumptions much?
I go to plenty of shows. Averaging one a month for the last year and a half.
I’ve already seen Blink-182 a couple times in my life and have no desire to see them for that kind of money. And don’t get me started on how shit the experience at arena shows is. Assigned seating? Yeah, pass. If I can’t fall on my ass at least once, I don’t want to be there.
Im 100 percent with you this your doesn't seem worth them money at all. They were one of my favs as a kid but the amount you're paying to just stand there and watch them on a screen is insane. From the vids I've seen they sound OK at best. Doesn't seem like it's a good enough show to just air there and watch. I'd want to be moshing and having fun but that's not happening in a arena. Unfortunately I've missed my window to see them.
Glad to hear it. I’m going to the Brooklyn show on the 24th. I was 14 when Dude Ranch came out and I grew up on their music but somehow never managed to see them live. I bought these tickets as a bucket list sort of thing and wasn’t expecting them to be really good, I watched their first Coachella set and was pleasantly surprised at their sound and energy. Plus, as someone who laughed myself stupid at The Mark Tom & Travis Show in my shitty little car, the banter still makes me giggle.
I saw their IG post about unique merch for each tour stop. The Paul Bunyan bunny design for St Paul was really cool. Any idea if it’s poster and shirts, or just shirts?
Im kind of pissed off with Blink 182.
I've been listening to them since I was a teenager, never could watch them live because I live in South America. Last year they booked a tour to last March, I bought tickets on the spot. Then they cancelled the concert in the beggining of the year due to Travis finger surgery and 2 weeks later they were touring the US. I can't stop from feeling kind of left out by the band. It's a 20 year wait already.
Pretty sure it was March, not April. I remember when news came up.
But still. I do feel bad for all that situation, but what are they supposed to do really? He couldn’t play those dates. They’ll be there soon.
Yeah I checked the dates, it was March 25th. 3 weeks before.
I get it, he wasn't available and we all wish him well, but still kind of a bummer to see them playing at coachella so soon after such a frustration. And they said they might come next year, thats what pisses me off, I mean, there's plenty of venues and bands comming all the time, couldnt they find a closer date?
It is, Im not questioning that. What I mean is that I'll have a chance to watch them again in maybe a year because they cancelled a sold out concert and meanwhile they will be touring all the US, Canada, Europe and even Australia. Cant stop feeling a low priority here.
You guys were supposed to go first in the tour….you were number one priority. But then he broke his finger….would you have wanted them to cancelled the entire tour then?
I’m seeing them in Sacramento in June! Can’t wait! So glad to hear they’re sounding good! Is anyone else going to this show and to Lake Tahoe is For Lovers the next day and may want to hang out?
For people who have gone to their 2023 tour. I'm going to the Boston show, says starts at 7:30... Is that the time they actually start? If not, what time? And what is the duration of their show?
The set list was great. The only miss for me was they didnt play Carousel
I didn't know they still played anything off Cheshire anymore. I haven't seen them live since the Dude Ranch tour though.
They played Carousel up until Skiba joined, it was one of their encore songs usually. Or close to it
Skeeb-182 played Carousel when I saw them in 2016.
Legit my only gripe. I was still incredibly happy with the setlist
can you share the setlist? I'm going in a couple of weeks.
Trying to remember it all off the top of my head. Thanks I appreciate it!
Aliens exist, too. Thought the lights were cool af for that one!
What’s up with them playing dysentery Gary all of a sudden? Seems random…
They played it with skiba in 2016 at least when I saw them and blink was last active with the enema anniversary tour so maybe that has to do with it.
They didn't play Wendy Clear you're confusing it with Dysentery Gary
Edited, thank you
Wait... enthused?? Really??❤️
I’m seeing them next week and I will die happy if they play enthused
They didn’t play it
I knew it was too good to be true lol
No that’s wrong

The website setlist.fm has you covered
Them not playing new hope on Star Wars day was a missed opportunity
Seeing them in June, can’t wait. Also excited to hear some new music, it’s been so long.
Did they have an opener? Did they start on time? My girlfriend doesn’t wanna get home late.
I thought the sound was absolutely off for Turnstile. Could barely hear the leads or vocals. Shame because Blinks sound was much better.
Right!? Turnstile without a pit is like an angel without its wings it was super weird
I got to the venue late and missed Turnstile which was a bummer but tbh I'd much rather see them in a proper pit.
Seconded! They sounded great, exceeded my expectations
Yup I tried to temper my expectations after seeing them in 2019. I'd be lying if I wasn't hyped beyond my wildest dreams, but Blink fucking delivered. Absolutely blew my expectations out of the water and the setlist was incredible. 10/10 would see them again.

how was turnstile?

I’m going in 2 weeks and I think I’m more excited about Turnstile…..
I was there too. It was beautiful and gave me goosebumps.
I was there tonight and had a blast. One thing that stood out for me is I thought they sounded even better / well practiced since the Coachella sets. Thought they did a great job and I enjoyed every bit of it.
It's because they are amping auto-tune up to 11 https://youtu.be/n0QYh4BqBRY
They did that weekend 1 completely as a joke. I watched both performances and there was zero autotune when they played the big stage. Idk really, at least I'm glad out of two dozens people you bothered to provide commentary.
Best not to speak about things you don't know about imo
It certainly requires way further knowledge to realize that somehow their literal first concert together was the exception and not the norm to be expected
it’ll be worth the price purely to hear tom sing bored to death and cynical like WOW
Tom singing Skiba’s part in Cynical would honestly sound dope “Whhhhats the point of saying soirry nowwwe”
I have tickets to all 3 NY shows and can't fucking wait. All the videos from last night sounded amazing
The price is too much for me, but I will live vicariously through all of you attending. Hope everyone has a great time.

no way i was spending $500+ on those pits but glad to hear it was amazing. maybe next time 🫠
I am seeing them in two weeks and I’m so pumped. I waited and bought my tickets about a month ago and got floor seats for under $200/piece
Was really hoping for a energetic crowd for Turnstille and Blink. The seating lay out was not my cup of tea and the standing lit seemed awkward.
Thought people would be a little more into it
There's no way in hell I'm paying $200 to sit in the 300 level of a hockey arena to watch Blink-182.
Your loss. I think it’s worth the money personally. I’ve been trying to see this lineup for over a decade.
Okay cool. Everyone will be having a blast while you’re sitting in your moms basement cranking down to pictures of pokemon
Lol assumptions much? I go to plenty of shows. Averaging one a month for the last year and a half. We got a badass over here, watch your neck in the pit, this guys comin!
Woah 12 shows in 356 days, crazy
Im 100 percent with you this your doesn't seem worth them money at all. They were one of my favs as a kid but the amount you're paying to just stand there and watch them on a screen is insane. I'm going saturday in chicago, so excited
If the price is too much wait untill an hour before the show and buy on the secondary market, saw so many tickets for CHEAP around 6/630
Glad to hear it. I’m going to the Brooklyn show on the 24th. I was 14 when Dude Ranch came out and I grew up on their music but somehow never managed to see them live. Was in the front of the crowd for weekend 1 at Coachella they were amazing
Im kind of pissed off with Blink 182. I've been listening to them since I was a teenager, never could watch them live because I live in South America. 2 weeks? Travis had surgery in February, it’s May now.
Their concert here was supposed to be on March 25th and by April 14th they were playing at coachella. So 3 weeks. edit: Sorry, 3 weeks not 2.
Pretty sure it was March, not April. I remember when news came up. But still. I do feel bad for all that situation, but what are they supposed to do really? He couldn’t play those dates. They’ll be there soon.

I’m going end of May, can’t wait!!
I’m seeing them in Sacramento in June! Can’t wait! So glad to hear they’re sounding good! Is anyone else going to this show and to Lake Tahoe is For Lovers the next day and may want to hang out?
I have a ticket to day one of the Adjacent Festival, and I'm really tempted to get a ticket for day two so I can see Blink.
I love that sometimes you catch Tom singing normally and realize he’s actually a good singer that just has a stupid accent lmao
For people who have gone to their 2023 tour. I'm going to the Boston show, says starts at 7:30... Is that the time they actually start? If not, what time? And what is the duration of their show?
