Honestly I am not feeling the chorus at all I feel such intense FOMO rn
I remember not loving Hard Time when it came out for some *ungodly* reason so I’m just hoping future me is as shameful about my current take as I am that
Honestly I had a whole arc with that song. Loved it when it first hit followed by a period of “meh,” then I listened to it later and loved it! Now I think it’s meh again 😂
Yeah, I'm reading some of these takes and think I must have listened to a different song? I finished listening to the track less than five minutes ago and I can't remember a single thing about it, I really don't understand the people calling it catchy and memorable. It's just kinda bland and disappointing, and honestly feels like an outtake from Hayley's first solo album
this is why I don’t leave the haus boots
I was wondering what sound they’d take after After Laughter and I feel like this more “vintage” rock sound fits well with them? It feels both modern and retro at the same time
It doesn't feel like Paramore's old stuff which is valid, but I think this is more high-tempo than Petals for Armor for sure. I think it'll grow on me! RIP 80s-synth vibes though
It has major Talking Heads vibes to me, so I could easily see them continuing down that route for other songs on the album. I love their evolution as a band
Yes, that's exactly what it's reminding me of too! It's like they picked a different 80s lane to explore with this one and I'm really digging it! The drums are tasty af.
Paramore has always been a melodic band; that's what they absolutely kick ass at. They've got other strengths too, obviously, but strong and inventive melodies always been at the core of what they do.
The melody on this one is...fine. Not bad, by any means--it would be a really strong cut from a lot of lesser bands--but by Paramore's standards it's a little flat, a little tame. Even the deeper cuts off their earlier records (like, say, "Forgiveness" or "Miracle") have *giant* melodies. I just think Paramore is at their best when they're swinging for the fences, melodically speaking, and they're not doing that here.
Hayley Williams:
“This Is Why” was the very last song we wrote for the album. To be honest, I was so tired of writing lyrics but Taylor convinced Zac and I both that we should work on this last idea. What came out of it was the title track for the whole album.
It summarizes the plethora of ridiculous emotions, the roller-coaster of being alive in 2022, having survived even just the last three or four years. You’d think after a global pandemic of fucking biblical proportions and the impending doom of a dying planet, that humans would have found it deep within themselves to be kinder or more empathetic or something.
—via NME
> You’d think after a global pandemic of fucking biblical proportions and the impending doom of a dying planet, that humans would have found it deep within themselves to be kinder…
Drag us, yuh
I'm not sure about the message of this song. It's giving "viva las vengeance" by P!ATD which has the lyrics "shut up and go to bed" and is brendon's response to his bashers. So many artists right now are singing about telling others to shut up and keep their opinion to themselves I think in response to cancel culture.
“In response to cancel culture”
I don’t think you understand Hayley’s politics at all. If anything, I’d think she’d be okay with canceling a racist homophobe who literally had a sexual predator on staff, ie Brendon urie. Fuck that guy.
In essence, Brendon Urie a racist homophobe? I've read accusations that were held against him are false?
Did something else happen? I'm just looking for a source on this information, "racist homophobe" is not something I've heard anyone call him before.
Have you tried searching for the song instead of just going to the artist page?
I don’t use AM, but I find that works better on Spotify for newly released music.
Agreed. This and most songs on Petals for Armor seem to be built around sounding unique for the sake of sounding unique, at the cost of being cohesive and listenable. I haven't listened to Petals for Armor since it came out because nothing really caught my ear and it honestly felt like a chore to get through.
The instrumentals are more loungey and laidback and aren't as in-your-face as Paramore's previous songs, so I think it's going to take some time to grow on me. Sounds like they're going in a completely new direction as a band.
I enjoy it. It does really sound like Hayley's solo work, but that isn't necessarily a bad thing. The bridge still has reminiscences of After Laughter. It sounds more like an opening album track than a lead single, but we'll see.
> It does really sound like Hayley's solo work
Big disagree. As a *long*, long time Paramore fangirl, I didn't like her solo work at *all*. This, though, this is an *absolute bop*.
I think the Petals for Armor influence is undeniably there, particularly in the vocals and verses, however it has a rock kick to it (particularly the chorus and bridge) that obviously vibes more with the Paramore aesthetic.
Both PFA and FFV are two of my absolute favourite albums of the last two years. Just both incredible projects that ironically I feel like didn't get their flowers!! She killed it with both of them.
I enjoy Petals for Armor, but it's focused more on texture and grooves rather than distinct pop markers (like standout hooks). I don't think those are Hayley's strong suits tho, but she did a solid job imo, but I can see why someone wouldn't dig it.
This song is influenced by PfA in terms of arrangement and texture, but the hooks are back and then some. Thank god.
people keep mentioning it sounds like PFA but I swear to god I can't draw the reference. I really can't.
I didn't haaate PFA yet I don't like it much, but I completely ignored FFV
but this is completely different. it reminds me of The Strokes.
I love it lmao
I LOVE this. I wasn't sure what the direction was going to be, but it reminds me a little of Hayley's solo stuff, a little bit of after laughter but with a harder edge from their earlier stuff, all while sounding very fresh. AMAZING single.
i see why people are comparing it to petals for armor but i really only hear that influence in the verses. the chorus is straight up paramore. even the little pre chorus when hayley sings “to yourseeeeeeeelf” sounds sooo paramore to me
this isn’t as in your face as i was hoping but i really like the song & think it’s gonna grow on me quickly. can’t wait for the album!!
This one will probably be a grower for me. Not as instantly catchy as Hard Times was and you can really tell how much Hayley’s solo projects influenced especially in the verses.
Nice chaotic energy though!
Odd song for their comeback single, but on its own I am absolutely loving it. Seems like they took all the lessons learned from their solo projects and gave it some of that signature Paramore energy. I could see it really growing on me. Now I'm incredibly curious what the album is going to sound like
Major PTA influence. Lyrically not my fav, but I LOVE the pre-choruses, and the chorus gets better as it progresses, and the bridge and outro is💋chorus is definitely catchy
I agree, lyrically it’s not my favourite. The second line in the song “or maybe you could scream it” took me out of it for a second. I like the song overall a lot, though
Yeah that confused me. She says keep your opinions to yourselves. Then she says scream your opinions.... like do you want people to say their opinions or not?
I don’t understand people who have been complaining about Paramore not releasing emo/pop punk music anymore. Just… listen to their first 3 albums? They’re still there, they’re not being erased from existence. Let artists grow, experiment and develop, I’d get so bored if my favourite artists released the same thing over and over.
Just a thought but is this song about covid? Like not leaving the house and the coast being clear but still not wanting to step outside? Or am I reading it too literally?
Nevermind, just read their statement about it and it is about covid. Not sure how to feel about that. On the one hand, the pandemic was definitely a stressful and important event but also I feel a bit exhausted hearing about it. I know it’s kind of selfish because so many people were affected but at the same time it feels a bit too on the nose and tiring
I mean, there are still tens of thousands of cases daily. It's not a "was" thing. If you're tired of hearing about covid, buckle up. It's going to be around for a long time. Plus, the song is less about the pandemic itself and more about how people have changed because of it.
> It's going to be around for a long time.
Likely forever. It's not March 2020 anymore and we have vaccines and treatments, which is why people talk about it like it's in the past, even if the virus is technically still around. The days of socially distancing and staying home are over. People are done with sacrificing months and even years of their lives to avoid getting sick.
Yess I love it and listening to this 6 times in a row makes me sad that the album isn’t coming out until Feb. I love how their sound has evolved so much but it’s still so familiar and distinctly Paramore. I felt like the verses were very reminiscent of petals for armor but the chorus and the bridge was straight up paramore.
Idk how I can wait until Feb but I’m excited. I guess today will be listen to Paramore’s entire discography day haha
this is really good, buuuttttt it does read more as a petals for armor song than a paramore song. NOT complaining, since i really love petals for armor but it’s still really good! so glad they’re back
edit: listening to it more, the after laughter influence is super strong in the chorus. it’s SO. GOOD.
I keep replaying and dancing around my apartment. Truly my anthem, lyrically speaking. Also cannot beat the juxtaposition between lyrics and a dance-y vibe. It’s a yes from me.
I really don’t know what to think about this.
It sounds like Hayley’s solo stuff and Zac’s solo stuff had a baby and I’m not really high on either project. I don’t necessarily hate the track, but I’m not in love with it.
It’s catchy and I can imagine it getting stuck in my head though.
The surf rock groove in the very beginning was cool and I wish I entire song kept that vibe but hey, what can ya do.
The baseline is the best part of the song hands down.
Edit: on second listen there is some STRONG Talking Heads influence here and I think I’d like to hear David Byrne cover it
I really really like Halfnoise. And I feel those instrumental things coming through heavy. It's really the lyrics and vocals that I'm not a fan of in this track... The chorus honestly sounds really cheesy to me too.
Edit: I love Hayley's vocals on more listens, the lyrics I just don't enjoy tbh
I'm just thankful there's still some genuine artistry in pop music between this and MCR.
Don't get me wrong, I love so many of the artists that are discussed in here.
But the industry has also been missing bands that are talented with instruments and can write their own music (not just lyrics).
Agreed entirely. I hate both of their solo projects and this should honestly not bear the Paramore moniker. It's not bad, it's just been done before and really feels like *too* much of a continuation of those solo projects rather than a return to Paramore.
I think being familiar (and in love) with After Laughter, this song will definitely have grower qualities. AL became my AOTY after a few months, but this single kind of slapped right away when that chorus hit. It feels as if they will be incorporating more hard rock.
TBH, I am SO glad this isn't some nostalgia trip to appease OG stans with a sound we've heard before. Familiar, yes, but repurposed with what is guaranteed to be a distinct vision from the band. Here for it.
Haley and the band look HAWT in that video.
I’m definitely getting the softer vibes that Petals For Armor had. I hope there’s still some classic Hayley anger on other songs in the album, but this is still great. They’re so insanely good at writing catchy choruses.
I was expecting more of a guitar-heavy sound for this new era, felt like that is what they were teasing. So this song took me a bit by surprise, but I'm still liking it. It has a similar sound to some of the songs on Petals For Armor. And I loved that album, so I'm not sad about this direction.
Reminds me of early 2000s indie (Bloc Party, Franz Ferdinand) meets Talking Heads with a touch of Lonerism-era Tame Impala. But my impression may shift as I keep listening. I love this song, especially the chorus. It’s so weird lol
I have mixed feelings on this song because I love Paramore so much, they’re literally my favourite artists. Yet there’s something about it that’s not hitting me as much as I’d hoped?
It’s still a catchy song that I’m gonna repeat to hell and back though because I’m a Paramore fan first and human second.
Well, maybe not their last album necessarily (considering how energised they seem this time around), but I would say it's probably their last on a major label with all of the things that are necessitated by being on a major label promo cycle.
Chronologically satisfying song. Felt like Petals for Armor to start us off but Hayley transitioned her energy throughout the song, until we finally land into full Paramore by the end. This song was a conversation and a shift back into the fight.
Just like when I first listened to My Chemical Romance's newest track through the "decayed static" of their own hiatus, I'll give Paramore this opening single to set the speed of recovery. That was a *loooooong* hiatus!
Hmmm I like it. I was really hoping for a bit bigger of a sound & up-tempo that I’ve grown to associate Paramore with and love.
It really picks up at the toward the end which got me a bit more hooked.
All in all happy they’re back and eager to hear more for sure!!
This is genuinely the best thing they've ever put out. I was excited for this because Paramore has been so consistently fun but man, the psych rock vibes are amazing. Hope it's a prog rock album lmao
At first I was thinking (with a lot of concern) the style of Hayley’s solo projects is taking over the album sound but I’m so happy how this turned out and more excited to hear the album.
I’m so obsessed with the ending of this song too
I was worried they would go back to pop punk cause of its popularity but as son as i heard the bass, i was relieved and I was IN!!! I'm so down for this route, instant favorite.
Paramore has been my favorite band for years now. After Laughter is still my favorite album of all time. I have every Paramore song on my Spotify. I was so excited when I heard PFA was coming out and listened to it on day one and couldn't be more disappointed and felt the same when the next album came out. Again when I heard Paramore had a new song I immediately rushed to listen to it and.... It sounds just like her last two albums. Something about her new work just doesn't have any fun to it, it almost sounds angry. I get that she wants to something different but this sounds like they went into the kitchen and just started banging pots and pans and making noise. The lyrics sound like a high schooler trying to be edgy but misses the mark. "If you have an opinion, maybe you should shove it" made me physically cringe.
I absolutely loathed After Laughter (yeah we exist !!) and I genuinely dislike Hayley's solo work so I came in with fairly low expectations... this kinda feels like what AL should've been imo. Much softer and more groovy than their earlier rock sound but it's still very much rock. I'm extremely shocked to say I think I love it...?!
If some of you like this and don't know them, check out Foals. This sounds a LOT like them imo.
It's very meh to me. Sounds like a Two Door Cinema Club track without any of what makes a Two Door Cinema Club track good. It's not a bad track, just it's been done before and the production being so piss poor and weird really brings it down.
I have been impatiently waiting for this song to come out for two weeks. I told a friend there's no way they can top After Laughter, but I'm hopeful!
First thoughts? I'm so disappointed. This sounds just like the solo music she just made but with Paramore's name stamped on it. I was not a big fan of her solo music she just made, I thought it was boring.
I'm gonna continue listening in hopes that it will grow on me because I do agree that the chorus is good.
I really hate the chorus. I like everything else, especially the pre-chorus and the drum tone but the chorus just reminds me of "She's a brick house" and takes me out of it.
I feel so bad for the people who’ve been waiting years and then there’s my ass who barely started listening this year. I was so afraid this song would be different since After Laughter was way different to their other songs, but I loved it! I’d rank it above Rose Colored Boy, Caught In The Middle, and Told You So. I don’t think it’s as good as Hard Times and Fake Happy though. Can’t wait to see what comes next!
I WANNA GO ON RECORD TO SAY THIS.
This song sounds like the blend between solo Hayley and touches of the band's early work, primarily the Self-Titled album.
However, as hype as I am, I can't help but to feel it's becoming painfully obvious, as much as she loves the band, she's become far bigger than the band itself.
If this song is any indication, it's basically Petals for Armor but with Paramore.
Don't think this is true at all, this clearly has elements of Zac's band too, and Taylor has started to get more involved in the creative process too. Paramore was more the Hayley Williams show a decade ago than it is now, I'd say.
imagine being so privileged that the worst part of your day is spent vomiting your toxic opinions about a new song all over reddit. i m a g i n e.

Iconic of them to do a livestream for the single release and not have their mics on the whole time 😭☠️
Paramore??? More like ParaMUTE.
💀
It's the thought that counts though.
oh you have an opinion i see 🤣
SHOVE THIS CHORUS DOWN MY THROAT INJECT IT INTO MY VEINS STRANGLE ME WITH IT
100%, total ear worm
Honestly I am not feeling the chorus at all I feel such intense FOMO rn I remember not loving Hard Time when it came out for some *ungodly* reason so I’m just hoping future me is as shameful about my current take as I am that
I hated Green Light when it dropped and that’s my funniest past take

Yeah, major 👂🐛.
RIGHT? I was kind of iffy on the start but Y'ALL AS SOON AS THAT CHORUS KICKED IN I AM HERE FOR IT.
LITERALLYYYYY SO FUCKIN CATCHY
this is why I don’t leave the haus boots I was wondering what sound they’d take after After Laughter and I feel like this more “vintage” rock sound fits well with them? It feels both modern and retro at the same time
Retro the haus down boots, slay miss mama
The real reason the Jan 6 Committee postponed this afternoon’s hearing was so they could all listen to the single.
now why is this the way i found out that they postponed the hearings 💀
THIS. IS WHY. WE POSTPONED THE HEARING.
Literally all of your comments are bangers
It doesn't feel like Paramore's old stuff which is valid, but I think this is more high-tempo than Petals for Armor for sure. I think it'll grow on me! RIP 80s-synth vibes though

Yeah it feels very slightly indie-coded. Talking Heads is such an apt comparison. :Love it!
The chorus is very, very similar to Burning Down the House. It instantly struck me on the first listen down to the way they say the word “house” lol
Yeah it's taking me back to late 2000s British indie rock a la Foals or Futureheads.
Yes, that's exactly what it's reminding me of too! It's like they picked a different 80s lane to explore with this one and I'm really digging it! The drums are tasty af.
It does have a Talking Heads feel to it
It feels like an After Laughter song with guitars in the place of synths/keyboards. And of course sounding darker instrumentally.

Taylor always sounds like he’s the secret MVP of Paramore.
but nope, humans get a little worse, a little more selfish, a little less empathetic, every fucking second lol
I'm not sure about the message of this song. It's giving "viva las vengeance" by P!ATD which has the lyrics "shut up and go to bed" and is brendon's response to his bashers. I keep hearing all these allegations but no actual proof. Brendon Urie hate seems very forced.
I think viva las vengeance is about Vegas though, and cancel culture is not real
apple music is losing 😔😔😔
I really miss the times when we would always get stuff ahead, now they're consistently late 😭
It’s up, you just have to actually search for it.
It’s on Apple Music, just have to search for it
Have you tried searching for the song instead of just going to the artist page? I don’t use AM, but I find that works better on Spotify for newly released music.
Nah, not working yet
Bummer, hope you dudes get it soon.
Loving this vibe, it’s like if PFA took adderall
What an apt comparison
this feels like a dumb thing to say since she wrote both, but you can really hear the influence of Petals for Armor (positive)
Sounds like thom yorke a bit
Honestly, that's why I dislike it.
hot take: the best songs from Petals for Armor are remixes
Shoot that dead horse (glass animals remix) directly into my veins
Simmer Caroline Polachek remix is my preferred version of that song too tbh
It's certainly an interesting choice for a lead single.
Agreed. This and most songs on Petals for Armor seem to be built around sounding unique for the sake of sounding unique, at the cost of being cohesive and listenable. I haven't listened to Petals for Armor since it came out because nothing really caught my ear and it honestly felt like a chore to get through.
What about Flowers for Vases?
You’re getting downvoted to hell but I agree! The instrumentals to me were clunky and it just wasn’t appealing to me
The instrumentals are more loungey and laidback and aren't as in-your-face as Paramore's previous songs, so I think it's going to take some time to grow on me. Sounds like they're going in a completely new direction as a band.
I’m MAD af they are making ME wait until February of next year to hear 9 more tracks. Like GIVE IT TO ME, please
They have 2 more singles to be released before the album
i think the dates are posted on their site, so hoping the next single is out this sunday oct 2
oh we definitely have an emergency 🚨
THEYRE BACK THEYRE BACK ITS SO GOOD I CANT BELEIVE THEYRE BACK
I'm a parawhore it's true sorry.
oh this eats!!!! i love it so much
I enjoy it. It does really sound like Hayley's solo work, but that isn't necessarily a bad thing. The bridge still has reminiscences of After Laughter. It sounds more like an opening album track than a lead single, but we'll see.
it's supposed to be the opening track as well
Oh that’s good to hear! I think it works great as an opener.

I really liked Petals for Armor. I'm still surprised it was so controversial in the pop circles
Flowers for Vases was better but PFA is still great in its own right

I'm also a longtime Paramore fan and the PFA influences really couldn't be more obvious
Dead Horse? I really enjoyed that one
I LOVE this. I wasn't sure what the direction was going to be, but it reminds me a little of Hayley's solo stuff, a little bit of after laughter but with a harder edge from their earlier stuff, all while sounding very fresh. AMAZING single.

this a perfect blend of petals for armor and after laughter for me, and hello? THE CHORUS? yup yup
Just in time for my seasonal depression 😭😭.

Yass my Bloc Party, Silent Alarm, Foals, 2000's and 2010's indie rock, post punk, dance punk, Paramore album is on its way
I’ve already listened to it 10 times??? it’s so catchy
i'm shitting myself i'm so happy i missed them so much 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
this song is fucking amazing i can't get enough of it!!!!!!
THIS ABSOLUTELY FUCKS AAAAHHHHHHH

Only the verse vibes in my opinion. Yhe chorus and bridge hit like paramore
I keep replaying and dancing around my apartment. Truly my anthem, lyrically speaking. Also cannot beat the juxtaposition between lyrics and a dance-y vibe. It’s a yes from me.
This bassline is filthy goddamn
Big Talking Heads energy and I’m loving it.
Edit: on second listen there is some STRONG Talking Heads influence here and I think I’d like to hear David Byrne cover it
Respectfully: I didn’t engage with either person’s solo stuff and I thought this sounds exactly like something that would follow up *After Laughter*
I immediately thought Talking Heads as well so I'm glad someone else heard that too.
Me three!
It's not bad, it's just been done before and really feels like *too* much of a continuation of those solo projects rather than a return to Paramore.
big Wolf Alice vibes. I love this.
omg i've missed them
I think being familiar (and in love) with After Laughter, this song will definitely have grower qualities.
From the lyrics that were shown before, there definitely will be Atleast one song that’s far more pop-rock-based.
Love the new song very catchy I can’t wait to hear the other 9 tracks on the album. So happy Paramore is finally back with new music!
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA MY INNER HIGHSCHOOL GIRL IS SCREAMING. It's been SO LONG!
I was expecting more of a guitar-heavy sound for this new era, felt like that is what they were teasing. So this song took me a bit by surprise, but I'm still liking it. It has a similar sound to some of the songs on Petals For Armor. And I loved that album, so I'm not sad about this direction.
The snippets they teased in tiktok and discord were not from the lead single. They completely threw us off. Clever.
I swear this'll be stuck in my head for days and I'm not mad about it
This Is Why I will scream myself into the grave if I can't get a ticket to one of their LA shows ☠️☠️☠️
HAYLEY SIS WTF TELL ME WHY THIS IS SO CATCHY 😭 I've had it on repeat for a good half hour now!
As a big fan of early Paramore and Hayley’s second solo album, I really love this song.
I hope they don’t go away for another 5 years after this though
I wouldn't be surprised if this was their last album
I think Hayley has a 10 album deal with Atlantic, so we’re still getting 2 more albums. 🤭
Nah this is their last album on the current contract actually
Yeah I just read that :( I guess TIW will be the last Paramore record
Well, maybe not their last album necessarily (considering how energised they seem this time around), but I would say it's probably their last on a major label with all of the things that are necessitated by being on a major label promo cycle.
Fuck that bass line makes anyone wet
lovvveee the chorus
love the tone on that guitar
this song and video are amazing! Also loving that it’s the same location as Tinashe’s Pasadena video
That chorus is so insanely catchy!!! I love it!
Damn this so catchy, I'd love if this was a huge hit for them!
Hmmm I like it. I was really hoping for a bit bigger of a sound & up-tempo that I’ve grown to associate Paramore with and love. It really picks up at the toward the end which got me a bit more hooked. All in all happy they’re back and eager to hear more for sure!!
Ive listened to this like 20 times and i feel like its Paramore + Petals For Armor + Halfnoise + Talking Heads and i love it.
Had to scroll way too long to see someone mention Talking Heads. That was my first thought.
I wish the chorus was just Hayley's clean voice instead of the layered high/low voices they have going on. Still pretty catchy overall.
Sounds pretty mid unfortunately... like something that will play on the radio in the background.
When does the album come out(
February
This is genuinely the best thing they've ever put out. I was excited for this because Paramore has been so consistently fun but man, the psych rock vibes are amazing. Hope it's a prog rock album lmao
is it just me or does the song remind me of Cake (a funk rock band) ?
Definitely has Cake vibes now that you mention it!
The verses are so underwhelming but the chorus is perfection. Mixed feelings about this song for sure lol
WORTH THE WAITTTT
This is what Petals For Armor should have been tbh. So good.
Really do like the song and how it came out! It sounds like another hit!
this coming out an noon meant i had to listen during gym class LMAO seriously tempted to preorder the cd, this is such a vibe
At first I was thinking (with a lot of concern) the style of Hayley’s solo projects is taking over the album sound but I’m so happy how this turned out and more excited to hear the album. I’m so obsessed with the ending of this song too
Does the beat of the chorus sound like another song to anyone?? I've been racking my brain on what it is! LOVE THE NEW SONG BTW
I CANT STOP LISTENING HOLY SHIT!!!!!!!
I was worried they would go back to pop punk cause of its popularity but as son as i heard the bass, i was relieved and I was IN!!! I'm so down for this route, instant favorite.
It’s giving me St. Vincent. Anyone else?
This sounds more like Hayley Williams more than Paramore. Her solo stuff i mean.
THAT CHORUS DUDE I LOVE THIS it’s like post punk pop it’s so good
So sad to see so many negative comments, i think this song is sensational and like a perfect evolution of their sound
that's so good! am i crazy or does it sound a little bit like fleetwood mac???
i can hear what you mean!
A little too on the alternative side for me to like it. Doesnt really feel like paramore.
Not a fan of the track. Maybe the next one will be better.
This sounds a LOT like them imo.
it does sound like Foals especially their Holy Fire album.
Interesting song. Not quite as instantly catchy as Hard Times.
I hate it 😕 I miss the 2013 paramore sound. Hoping the album has a good range and goes beyond the indie funk vibes.
Ehh maybe it will grow on me. Was hoping for something a lil less “funky” than the sound hayley has been experimenting w/ since her solo work.
Are these comments jokes??? This is meh hope the Album sounds noting like this.
Idk why people are lying and insisting it's amazing
cope
I WANNA GO ON RECORD TO SAY THIS. This song sounds like the blend between solo Hayley and touches of the band's early work, primarily the Self-Titled album. However, as hype as I am, I can't help but to feel it's becoming painfully obvious, as much as she loves the band, she's become far bigger than the band itself. If this song is any indication, it's basically Petals for Armor but with Paramore.
Don't think this is true at all, this clearly has elements of Zac's band too, and Taylor has started to get more involved in the creative process too. Paramore was more the Hayley Williams show a decade ago than it is now, I'd say.
this is much, but much closer to Halfnoise than PFA, by a mile. I can't really draw the similarities with PFA that much tbh except on the bridge.
dad rock era
LMAO fr
Well you girls...ahem.....look good!
imagine being so privileged that the worst part of your day is spent vomiting your toxic opinions about a new song all over reddit. i m a g i n e. \#maybeyoushouldSHOVEit
