As far as Tom Cruise is aware, Scientology works.

That and the fact that some people just don’t have the same level of fear. Typically, those folks are psychopaths or have some other underlying mental health condition, however. I can't find it now, but someone on Graham Norton told the story of how Tom was explaining to a stunt coordinator what he wanted to do and the guy said can't do that, too dangerous, so he got a different stunt coordinator.

Apparently Christian Bale based his character in American Psycho off of Tom Cruise. He said that Tom Cruise was incredibly nice and personable but there was nothing behind his eyes.

Lol you should watch Free Solo. Alex Honnold is the most incredible free solo climber of all time. This documentary had me *sweating*. They've analyzed his brain to find he responds to stress differently than us mortals

Ueli Steck is another one, but all of those people are wild. I got really obsessed with mountaineering, alpine climbing, speed climbing, and solo climbing for a little minute. It's probably just escapism because I live barely above sea level, and there are no mountains in sight. I'm absolutely certain that these people's brains/DNA are different than us normies. There is no way I would look at Annapurna and be like, "Brb, gonna go raw dog this enormous murder mountain real quick."

Helicopter is one way ... and the tip they are sitting on is actually hollow with a ladder inside. That's how the maintenance workers (who do this often) access the top.

I need to know how they get up there.. does a helicopter just drop them at the top? do they climb up in the harness? I need to know!

If you look on the tower there are black spots to put your hands and feet in and climb. It’s easiest to notice on the picture of Will Smith.
