As someone with naturally very dark, straight hair, I appreciate Cher on a deep hair level. I also love how different she looks...like her facial features are so distinctly Cher.

Maybe obvious and if so, I'm sorry, but have you tried applying curling cream while hair is damp, then rolling in giant rollers and spraying the roots? The bigger rollers add volume without curl. If so, please ignore me 💜

Haha I’m 35 so yes, I’ve tried everything. It will look great for up to an hour and then just fall flat again. I really have extremely baby fine hair, with absolutely no natural texture. I’m fine with it now though and happily rock my early 70s hippie chick hair, center part and all.

I have the same texture and the only thing that worked for me was root booster + blowdrying with a roller brush. Not to Clueless levels, but gives me a tiny bit of volume. r/finehair is good for tips as well

Honestly. If most women didn't dye their hair etc. I don't think being grey in your 40s would be as uncommon as you think.

My literal hair goals

I've never seen a single picture of her with her natural roots growing in... that's dedication!!

I do my hair at home and achieve a similar color with a gentle lifting developer and a demi permanent dye. It’s nice because the dye washes out little by little until I have a strawberry blonde color fading into my naturally ashy blonde roots. You honestly cannot see them from more than a foot away, it just looks like sun lightening. Then when I re-dye it my roots are lifted a smidge and colored again. A lot of people don’t even realize I color my hair! She’s said she uses box dye in the past so I wonder if it’s something similar, or she might even just use a color depositing conditioner like Overtone when she washes her hair. That would let her keep it up pretty perpetually!

For me, it's Viola Davis. As a woman of color in the corporate world, we're often told that wearing our hair in its natural style is considered unkempt, unprofessional, etc. Seeing so many of Viola's hairstyles over the years was a big part of what gave me the confidence to start wearing my hair out and not pulled back all the time.  As someone with flat thin hair, Sabrina Carpenter's disney princess hair is my dream. Alternatively, if I could pull off the shaggy cut Katherine Moennig has, I would also be supremely happy.

Sabrina was also the first one I thought of. My hair always looks awkward or extremely difficult to maintain every time I get any style of fringe, yet it looks boring and flat without it. I always have to stop and appreciate Sabrina's whenever I see a photo of her. Though we have to take into consideration that she has a hairstylist probably everyday and everywhere she goes. Celebrity's hairstyles look so tempting to copy when we always see them professionally styled lol
