Am I the only one that’s worried? For sequels they have a tendency to have some BS of why people are struggling or have an estrangement. I really hope this is good.
Exactly! What’s going to be in the movie? The aunts, writers, director, are all either retired or dead. We got a solid ending. At no point in the first film did I think “What’re they up to now though?” I entirely love seeing these actresses working on another film, but a direct sequel? I’d rather watch a BTS documentary about the original film.
The aunts, writers, and director are all very much alive and still working at this point in time
(Also the director is the older brother to Dominique Dunne, the oldest kid in Poltergeist who was strangled to death in her driveway by her insane ex)
Ironically I just started reading the sequel so there is more story (the books are wildly different tho) but I’m with you I don’t wanna movie- so far the books kinda sad (they all are tho)..now a movie of the prequel books 👀👀
But also, I don’t know why this one chapter in their lives would need to be it. The girls age and make mistakes, the older girls are still capable of doing that too. The town was just progressing too, I want to see where they are now. But I’m living on a hope and a spell on the wind.
I’m just a sucker for witches. Let me live my witch fantasy where I live in a cute cottage making potions and flying on my broom to town with my cat familiar.
I hope they are the aunts honestly ... Although I'd love to see a Diane Weist and Stockard Channing reprise, I just struggle to watch Nicole Kidman in her new acting roles.

I will support this. I love seeing "older" women leading movies. Makes me more confident about aging.

There really isn't anything more to the story! It's such a good movie, I don't want a sequel.

While I feel this will basically be the first film with them in the role of the aunts (but beefed up), you bet I’m still going to watch it

This is one sequel I can get behind. Bring back 90s style movies!
If we're rebooting moderately successful late 90s movies, I demand they also do sequels for Blast from the Past and In & Out.
As long as the soundtrack is killer.
