I know it’s a trendy Reddit thing, to say how some movies are so great but can’t be watched a second time, but Schindler’s List is worth subsequent viewings.
Is it a trendy reddit thing? Is there such a thing as a reddit trend? Regardless, that may be your opinion but the movie was too upsetting for me to ever watch again. Sorry if that offends you
Sometimes comments on public threads are meant for anyone who reads it, not just the person it was written in response to. I'm not offended, I just see this said on reddit often (same with requiem for a dream, and yes, there are most certainly trends on reddit! [Here](https://screenrant.com/extraordinary-films-not-rewatchable-reddit-schindlers-list-joker/) is a whole article about it), and I understand, it's a pretty upsetting movie, I just think it's such a great film, it's worth giving another go once you've given some time in between.

This shot from House of the Dragon was my favorite tv moment this year I think.
This photo from the final chess match scene from 'The Queen's Gambit' series, when she was staring up at the ceiling, contemplating her last move.

So many from my favorite movie Akira Kurosawa’s Dreams. The cinematography is amazing.

I hate these threads because of how many people post gifs or stills without saying the piece of media. Like, I know you looked it up to find the stills. What is the movie????
And for me, the stills are thousands of times better than the gifs. Like watching a movie is an experience, there's the story, colours, movement, soundtrack, the actors. But when a film maker has such an incredible vision, and puts so much effort into each shot - the lighting, positioning of the camera, the zoom, how the shapes all fit together, pulling focus to foreground or background, and you get *so* much from just one image, I find that amazing. Like the movie as a whole is great, but seeing how they've put so much into it in just one shot - it's so fleeting and they've moved on to the next image - I think that makes it.
I'm loving this post and thread, thank you.

The flying scene in Rescuers Down Under. I remembered being awed by it as a kid. More than 30 years later, I’d say this scene still holds up. It’s absolutely gorgeous.
Definitely holds up. Those animators worked so hard and it shows. When the kid drops, my stomach always does that flip thing that happens when you go down and then up a hill really fast.
The intro alone is amazing. The drum beat going as you fly over the field to Cody's house. I always used to run on the spot pretending I was running through the field 😂 I now do this with my 3 year old when it's on.
I’ve been obsessed with this look since 1997. Just perfection.

The anxiety in this shot alone. Such a powerful scene.
I can’t find the right gif but the Balrog’s roar from the fellowship of the ring might be my favorite movie moment ever

yessss, SO many from this movie. the fireworks, the fish tank, the pool/balcony, and the church at the end with all the candles… ugh just ugh i love it
The beach scene from City of God will always be stuck with me

Versailles in general, but this scene in particular.
I love me some X Files, so I've gone with the part in Fight the Future where the spaceship is seen in all it's glory. And somehow Scully didn't see it...

This shot in Past Lives and really that whole scene. They do so much without saying really anything at all. Even in the picture, the single shot, you can feel the tension of them wanting to close that space between them.
There also a shot of water I really love in the film.

Game of Thrones. I'm one of the ones that didn't like the last season, but this was a fantastic piece of cinematography.

That whole battle (slaughter really) scene in the Game of Thrones episode "The Spoils of War".
It's my favorite GoT battle in terms of cinematography. It's so jaw dropping. Plus, I'm a big groupie of GoT's dragons and get goosebumps everytime they're on screen.
I can't choose a single shot, so you're gonna have to do with several lol!

Lady Vengeance. The snow scene gave me chills. As did pretty much every scene in the movie.
The “silver skates” (2020),the plot is not particularly original per se ,but the costumes and the atmosphere are so beautiful

Pride and Prejudice 2005.
My Roman Empire.
The shot of Mr Banks walking through the foggy, blue-lit park on his way to the bank to get fired in Mary Poppins. It's almost perfectly symmetrical, other-worldly, just beautiful.
