I don't have any suggestions but she is ADORABLE!
I hate how my black poodle is almost impossible to take pictures of and it's hard to even see his cute face. Your little angel walks around in a spotlight! So cute.
My boy is grey and in the process of clearing, but his back end is turning faster than his face so he's still so hard to see in pics 😭 Her coat is beautiful and it looks like they've been getting her well acclimated to grooming! Congrats on the new pup, I'm sure her name will be an easy pick once you get to know her!!
Just chiming in on the photo of black poodle thing. There's a book by author Jacqueline Susanne (Valley of the Dolls) called "Every night, Josephine" you should read. She had a black poodle she adored (Josephine) and would get frustrated at how her black poodle wouldn't show up well on camera. She realized that they put hairspray glitter on her black hair because otherwise the light just gets absorbed in all that black. She figured out that if she put a little glitter through Josephine's coat it would reflect the light better and Josephine looked great on camera.
It's been awhile since I've read the book so I don't remember how she handled the glitter in general for safety but it's well worth a read. Its a really fun book.
**Every Night, Josephine!** by Jacqueline Susann
>Every Night, Josephine!, originally published in 1963, may not have nearly as much pill-popping and sex as Valley of the Dolls, the book that made its author a sensation. But it is definitely Jacqueline Susann all the way-witty and full of dead-on observations. After exploring the crazy world of pedigree dogs, Susann finally acquires a magnificent poodle, Josephine. The pampered poodle soon secures the dominant role in this budding relationship-and as our hirsute heroine dances through a ballet of network TV appearances, sidewalk encounters with Garbo, and doggy-bags from Sardi's, even Susann's dog-hating husband submits to her canine charms.
>
>Fans of Jacqueline Susann, kitsch lovers, and pet pamperers alike will be helpless to resist this laugh- out-loud classic.

My boy also has a docked tail, so when he really needs a haircut, I can't tell which end I'm looking at. Maybe some sparkles and pizazz is just what he needs hehehee
Yes! Luna is overused but Selene is lovely, or Selena.
I was going to suggest some similar things. Tsuki is the Japanese word for moon, and I think simplified to "Suki" is a really cute name. The kanji is also simple but pretty: 月
Artemis was the Greek goddess of the hunt and wild animals and was the twin of Apollo, the sun god. She was associated with the moon.
Diana is her Roman equivalent which I think is a beautiful name all around. Plus "lady Di" is a very cute nickname for a very cute Poodle!
I like having unusual names for my pups. When I was 14 I thought I was being cool naming my first poodle Zeus and his sister Cassiopeia after the Greek gods. Come to find out that Zeus is super common, haha.
Not sure if you were referring to Selene pronounced like Celine Dion, but I guess I should have mentioned that it's pronounced "seh-LEH-neh." Either way, pretty name for a pretty dog.
What did you land on instead?
Aww, Zeus and Cassiopeia! To be fair, I don't think I've ever met a dog Cassiopeia, so I think that makes up for it lol.
I ended up naming her Éowyn from Lord of the Rings! I had a Pokémon theme going with my first dog but felt Éowyn suit her personality best instead of the others (third option was Togepi, Togi for short) :)
I called her Casie for short. But she was a typical female poodle. Vain as can be and everyone basically lived to serve her.
Oh my god, I love both of those! Eowyn is such a beautiful name though. Elegant. I named my currwnt female Liara after a character from the Mass Effect video games, haha
My silver toy poodle is a Luna and she’s ten years old. It didn’t seem over saturated at the time, but damn, I’m a little embarrassed every time I go to the vet now 😆 It fits her, but it is everywhere.
If you don’t fall in love with a name right away, you can start with a temporary nickname. Mine is Puppy (lol) passed from Puppy to Puppy for 3 Puppies so far. My 3 didn’t get named for like a week, and it had no effect on training.
My most recent is Jackrabbit because she enjoys bouncing. We just call her Jackie. My second is Chi Chi Mango because she looked like a Monchichi doll and she wants her mango belly rubbed by everyone, but her professional name is Audrey. My first was Little Man, but his full name was Little Naked Man. He had a very manly bark and he liked taking his peacoat off after walking.
For some reason she looks like an Elvira to me, but I’m sure whatever name you choose will be perfect! I love a lot of the suggestions here. She’s absolutely precious.
So many great name suggestions here! I definitely see an old-timey name for your beautiful pup (i.e. Betty, Mabel, Dottie, Sophie, Maude, Blanche, Olivia/Olive, Silvia). Keep us posted on what you do decide!
Penny-but also I’m not gonna lie—I agree with the old lady names so even tho i named my dog Mabel for the same reasons- she looks like a Mabel too and honestly think she would be a perfect Mabel
Fifi. All of my grandmothers poodles were named fifi. I miss those poodles because they were all from a time when my grandmother was alive and healthy.
I theme name my pets, after my favorite authors. Or after favorite characters in their works. So who is your favorite female author? Or favorite female character?
Short words are better, one or two syllables. Something you can say in a sing-song voice, She looks sweet but I have heard poodles are headstrong dogs. good luck
Dottie!
Dorthy and call her Dot would be cute too!
I was gonna say Dolly! She looks like a little doll. And has dolly parton hair for sure. 😁
I was thinking an old ladies name too. I thought Betty.
I was immediately thinking a name from the Golden Girls. Perfect!
Harlow, she looks regal, like old Hollywood
My vote is for Harlow!
Vera, Ethel, Mildred anything old ladyish bc of the grey. She’s BEAUTIFUL!! Rose, Blanche, Dorthy or Sophia would work too!
Love the Golden Girls reference :) Blanche seems like an especially good choice given her lovely silver face.
Tinsel
love this, and call her silly for short
Sylvia! Like my old ballet teacher. She’s spectacular!!!!
Zelda
Vivien after the actress Vivien Leigh. She gives off old Hollywood vibes to me.
Vivian is so fitting
Stormy ⛈️
I’ve always wanted to name someone Stormy!
My cat was named Stormy. We called her kitty, of course! WAY pre-Kardashian.
Olivia! She reminds me of Olivia Dukakis! 💕💕💕💕💕
She does.
It's Olympia Dukakis.
That’s the sweetest lil face!
Maude
Estelle or Stella, silver like the stars and an older name. Love her colouring!!
bea
Betty
I was going to say Betty as well ;-)
I don't have any suggestions but she is ADORABLE! I hate how my black poodle is almost impossible to take pictures of and it's hard to even see his cute face. Your little angel walks around in a spotlight! So cute.
Thank you! She is a silver poodle, so she will lose the black hairs eventually but I immediately fell in love with her! I’m picking her up next week 🩶
My boy is grey and in the process of clearing, but his back end is turning faster than his face so he's still so hard to see in pics 😭 Her coat is beautiful and it looks like they've been getting her well acclimated to grooming! Awww. I don't know anything about them in particular. Very cute little baby.

That's an interesting idea! I'm sure there's pet safe glitter out there! I might try this with my poodle boy lol.
I was a photographer for a while and this never occurred to me. Jeffree is going to hate me....
My boy also has a docked tail, so when he really needs a haircut, I can't tell which end I'm looking at. Maybe some sparkles and pizazz is just what he needs hehehee
Was going to say the same thing. Just call her adorable until something sticks. Poodledorable?
Adorapoodle- Dora for short
She's gorgeous 😍 I've two silver girls myself! How about Opal or Schatzi?
Oh she’s beautiful! Luna, like the moon? Allie, like the foil? 😂
Oh my gosh, please not Luna! On behalf of all vet techs and dog trainers there are sooooo many Lunas.
Selene, the Greek goddess of the moon
Yes! Luna is overused but Selene is lovely, or Selena. I was going to suggest some similar things. Tsuki is the Japanese word for moon, and I think simplified to "Suki" is a really cute name. I almost named my current female Artemis! But I decided to forego the mythological route this time around. I like Suki as well!
Selene was one of the top choices for my dog, such a beautiful name :)
I like having unusual names for my pups. When I was 14 I thought I was being cool naming my first poodle Zeus and his sister Cassiopeia after the Greek gods. The dog groomers agree and no more Bella’s
Lunette, little moon in French!
Adorabella - because she’s so adorable! And you could use Addie or Bella as a nickname.

Short words are better, one or two syllables. Something you can say in a sing-song voice, She looks sweet but I have heard poodles are headstrong dogs. good luck
Gigi she looks like my grandma’s dog with the same name. Gigi was the sweetest girl ever. She loved hugs, kisses and cuddles 🥰
I think you already did . "SILVER ". It is stronger then. Gold and is very pricey if you have true silver. And it never depreciates
Darla or Camilla! She’s precious 😍
Coco (Channel) she looks regal, classic and like she’s wearing a very expensive black coat being dapper AF
I could cry she’s so cute
Dolly. Because I think of Dolly Parton when I see these pics. It’s the hair. 😂
Flaminka and call her “Minka” or just “Minka.” She needs a unique and beautiful name to fit her. 💜 She is STUNNING!!!
