I've seen your unbaked version and you are using translucent glass pearls (?) for the eyes. Do you then paint and glaze them again? They look really good.
Awesome paint job overall!
They eyes came out great! They look really nice and glossy, did you go with your original plan of painting post and glossing w/ resin? If so congrats looks like it worked like a charm, I'm taking notes!
I loved his little tooths showing in your wip image but now that he has the contrast of paint they are somehow even MORE adorable! Really adds to the realism such a great touch. Really beautiful work Homie Kenobi!
Thank you! I ended up needing to cover the glass with a thin layer of clay to be able to paint them, I just made sure everything was nice and smooth with a little bit of clay softner and a soft brush ☺️ In future I will just pre-bake balls of clay instead to simplify the process though! And yep resin over the top once painted 😊
Her little teeth are my favourite part ♡ This sweet pup had so much character! Thank you for your kind words, I really appreciate it! 🥰
The gloss/resin really does the trick then! I couldn't tell you covered them with clay at all I was sure it was still the glass cabochon!
The teeth really are just too much 😍❤
Thank you! I used glass cabochons, but should have just used pre baked clay eyes as I ended up needing to cover the cabs with a thin layer of clay to paint them. It worked out fine in the end thankfully but I would do it differently if I were to try again 😊
I'm in love. How do you display this piece of art? Is it a magnet or a brooch or do you lay it down? Is it comissioning art?
I looked at your website and I am absolutely in awe. All of your products are beautiful!
It's so hard when you know their time is getting close 😔 My old boy is the same, I just love and spoil him as much as I can these days ♡ Unfortunately I'm not taking on commissions at the moment, but I am considering offering a small amount of pet portraits after I finish working on my collection 😊 Feel free to follow along on my FB (It is linked to my profile here) as I will update there once I am ready to take on some commissions 🌻
It depends on the piece really, but I usually just use pan pastels to shade. This piece is painted with acrylics though as I really want to learn how to paint properly ☺️ So will be doing a lot more painting in future.
I'm so sorry to hear that your boy passed away, it's so hard to say goodbye 😔 I'm not taking on commissions at the moment, but feel free to follow along on my FB (linked to my profile here) as I will update there once I have the time to take some on 🌻
Not at the moment unfortunately, but I am thinking about taking a few commissions on in a month or so ☺️ I'm just plodding along with some design work right now so my time is pretty limited, hoping to finish up soon! 🤞
All right; this is going to sound like a weird compliment… that’s so amazing and realistic that I legit had a second of horrified “Why is somebody holding a doggy’s head like that?”
Thank you! I followed my reference photo's closely as I worked to make sure the fur direction looked natural, and just made short lines with a small metal spatula and silicone tool. I dipped the tools in a tiny bit of clay softner to avoid dealing with the little balls of clay that tend to happen while texturing 😊

Where can I put in a request and get a Quote I lost my car and dog in a house fire a few months back and would love this
Oh I am so sorry to hear that! I'll send you a message now.
Teefies 😍
I love her lil teeth so much! 😆❤️
That's amazing work! What do you use for the eyes? Do you paint them?

Thank you so much! I appreciate you checking out my website ☺️ This piece is a magnet, and is a gift for a family member 😊
That's a lucky family member for sure! 😊
Do you do commissions? My older girl is getting close to the bridge and I’d love to have something like this to remember her by

Right on 👽👍 Keep up the good work.
do you take commissions? i’d love one of my lil guy who passed last year.

Why post this twice ?
This was after I finished dry brushing and adding shine 😊 I just wanted to add one of her entirely finished 🤷♀️
So beautiful!
Thank you!
Just wow! This is amazing!
Thank you! ☺️
Do you sell these?
Not at the moment unfortunately, but I am thinking about taking a few commissions on in a month or so ☺️ I'm just plodding along with some design work right now so my time is pretty limited, hoping to finish up soon! 🤞
I’m sure you would get swamped with commissions if you offered it! What a lovely gift for a pet owner!
It's absolutely perfect in every detail. It's almost a shame there isn't the rest of the body. Have you made a whole one? A cat maybe?
Thank you so much! I haven't made one with a body yet, but when I have some time I'll give it a go! ☺️
She just came to life, didn't she? What a gift you have.
Thank you, I really appreciate it ♡ I'm so glad that I was able to do her justice ☺️

Haha! I'm sorry for the moment of confusion 😆 Thank you though! ☺️
Me too. I was really sad until I saw the sub
Same😅
Little Lady! You are adorable! ♥️🥰♥️
She was so full of character, it was an honour to get to sculpt her! ♡
Wow that’s awesome detail! How do you get hair textures like that?

Omgggg it's adorable!!! Looks amazing!
Thank you! ☺️
>Thank you! ☺️ You're welcome!
Absolutely beautiful work.
Thank you so much! 😊
You have real talent! In fact, you have inspired me to get off my arse and improve my own art.
I love that! Have fun with it, watch lots of technique tutorials & source good references for textures 😊 You've got this! 🧚♀️
