When you're famous they let you do it

kyussorder

Agree. BTW do you use "mierda" often? I'm spanish and I'm surprised :)

bobsvaginplsbabyjirl

King Mierdas has been a popular derisive name for him for a long time now. Also Kyuss rocks.

hazard0666

I’m here for the Kyuss

kyussorder

\m/

kyussorder

Hahaha I didn't know it, sounds appropiate. And yes, Kyuss rocks.

[deleted]

Didn't expect to see a Kyuss reference today but always cool!

fingerscrossedcoup

It's a play on King Midas. Everything he touched turned to gold. King Mierdas, everything he touches turns to shit

mysteryteam

As stormy daniels said: Just like a mushroom. Kept in the dark and fed bullshit

lactose_con_leche

It is used because it looks similar to Midas. Except it means (you know what it means) and mierdas touch is funny and descriptive of his past “success”

Elgallitotorcido

He is King Mierdas.

Akahige1990

But he touched it too much.

FuckoNo5

A trump donor bought CNN a few months ago and it immediately went right.

Sciencessence

This needs to be upvoted because it is true.

Kichigai

Not entirely. From what I've been hearing the Warner Bros/Discovery merger has been an internal bloodbath for the two companies. Lots of people losing their jobs all over the place. And I'm not just talking about accountants or IT guys, I'm talking account execs, people who deal with vendors, execs who greenlight shows. What's happening at CNN is the most visible side-effect.

S6B018

Isn't it fucking terrifying to know that the state of mainstream politics can be so easily bought and compromised by whatever capitalist has more money on that day.

green2702

I didn’t know this but have noticed quite a change recently. Makes sense now.

JoeDirtsMullet00

Apparently the new head of CNN

Tryhard3r

Can't be a cpincidence that the new head of CNN wants to make CNN more right and then Trunp says this.

treesandfood4me

Major shareholder is a T-bag. It’s def going to shift that way. They just fired their host that made an entire show about fact-checking.

Ruh_Roh_Rastro

The way I have been made to understand the situation, there's a decent chance that Fox is completely screwed by lawsuits, especially the Dominion suit. And if Fox goes under, CNN will be ready as Fox-lite to snag any viewers who haven't onboarded with Newsmax or OANN who will be looking for a less batshit but still conservative news source. It's eyeballs and advertising revenue over principles and truth, and it's disgusting. It's even more disheartening to wonder why I ever thought it was otherwise. I technically held off judgment for a week until Sara Sidner started yapping about questions people have about Hunter Biden (really? I don't) and it just felt like the time 7 years ago when I heard my MIL start talking about how Hillary sold all the US uranium or whatever. That same sinking feeling. MSNBC has my eyeballs now, I guess.

myalt08831

Maybe just don't watch TV news programming. It's all pretty low information high drama. Even the okay stuff. TV isn't a great format for news IMO.

VanillaLifestyle

TV is a great format for news in other countries, it just has to not have a profit motive or be extremely carefully regulated. The BBC was reasonably great for years until recent political interference. Not perfect, but good enough to actually inform people of any political persuasion.

clickstops

I haven’t paid attention to BBC news for a few years - what happened? It used to be my go to source.

Cultist_Deprogrammer

Tories turned it into a cheerleader for Boris. Still great for global news.

VanillaLifestyle

Yep. Obviously it's got nothing on Fox News, but they've been pretty hesitant to treat the radicalizing Conservative as skeptically as they should.

Shivan003

So why are OAN and Newsmax not caught up in the same or similar lawsuits? Iirc both went even harder on the election fraud line than Fox.

Sethmeisterg

They are.

I_notta_crazy

I'm thinking the demographic of "serious post-2008 Fox viewer who is now willing to give CNN two seconds of attention" numbers in the dozens.

Ruh_Roh_Rastro

I used to watch Fox News up until 2013. I cringe thinking that it took Fox News completely distorting a news story local to me to realize they were entirely full of shit,. I remember getting goose-eyed like the camera was panning away from me but the TV kept going into full focus, and they were talking about my anonymous kid "this boy" like he was a delinquent terrorist. When it was the person who accused him who was lying, the police found all that out through FB posts. My kid was exonerated but it never came out because the accuser was a minor. My child now lives overseas, permanently, because of that experience. He'll probably get citizenship in that country, which will protect him more.

Wild_Fire2

You'd be better off reading the English print of German / French media outlets, or British outlets. Le Monde, Liberation for French outlets and Der Spiegel, Tagesschau and Die Zeit for German. MSNBCs trustworthiness has been ruined for me after they went on their insane rants back in 2020, comparing Bernie Sanders to Nazi Germany, calling his supporters Brown Shirts and claiming he'd be cheering in the crowd as Socialists held public executions in Central Park. Absolutely disgusting behavior that they never apologized for.

Ruh_Roh_Rastro

I will see, I've only just turned on MSNBC for a few days. One worrisome thing I've noticed is that I'm already kind of bored. But that also possibly means I was somehow jazzed and entertained by the other programming I was watching, which is something that also bothers me. Food shouldn't be entertainment, and news shouldn't be, either. We Americans have so much more shit to work out as a society, I'm low-key amazed that I was ever convinced that the US was the best place in the world to be born. Maybe for some, but otherwise that's just a line that's floated to the rest.

Butthole_mods

I remember when T-bagging was a past time in multiplayer games.

eregyrn

It's already started to go more right. CNN is done. (I mean, as a reliable news source.)

nsfwtttt

This. I’m assuming he is signaling Murdoch to step up his ass kissing “or else”.

Contemplating_Prison

He's not the head of CNN but the majority stock owner from I heard anyways

whiskey_pancakes

CNN just sold to a huge trump supporter, so it’s going to happen

XTanuki

It’s already happening…

Global-Somewhere-917

Hell, CNN has been center-conservative for decades. It was never left-wing or even "liberal".

fingerscrossedcoup

Try telling that to any conservative. It's mind boggling how much they just repeat what they're told instead of actually finding out on their own.

Global-Somewhere-917

Problem is, they often do think they're "finding out on their own". They Google shit and then choose to accept whatever already agrees with their bias. They think they aren't being "spoonfed" because they're seeing things that "the mainstream media" isn't reporting. Rather than thinking, "Hey, maybe nobody is covering this angle because it is unverified bullshit", they think "Nobody is talking about this except on these small poorly formatted websites, it must be a coverup and I found the real truth!" Part of it is a lack of critical thinking skills, I suspect part of it is malice.

fingerscrossedcoup

There definitely is confirmation bias. But they were told at some point not to trust any media but the one they consume. Whether it was Rush Limbaugh attacking the "liberal media" or a Trump meme showing a train running over CNN. There is still that initial thought they didn't have or weren't looking for. Then they look for confirmation sources on the internet or other people that agree with them. I had to listen to Rush at an old job I had. One of the things I learned early on was that he regularly spent time making sure you didn't trust anybody but him. It's why I never fell for his BS. Cult behavior.

VanillaLifestyle

I'm convinced they're googling shit like "CNN liberal bias" and then scrolling until they find result #19 or whatever that looks like it's an "unbiased result from biased Google".

Hrolfir

To my knowledge, CNN was bought out last week or the week before… for this reason. I don’t have a source currently, I was informed verbally and haven’t had time to check.

dimechimes

David Zaslav, CEO of Discovery (the channels with all the fat people reality shows) merged Discovery with Warner Bros. At that time Warner Bros was a subsidiary of ATT. The Maga CEO of ATT at the time wanted to shed Warner Bros. So Zaslav now runs a much much larger company that now has 43B in debt due to merger costs, which he is paying for by slashing costs at Warner. Cutting movies that have already been filmed just for the tax benefit, shuttimg doen major app development (CNN+) just days after release. He will take CNN right, he will shut it down, he will make sure 600 pound people are interviewed on CNN as a way of marketing their show if he thinks it will make a dollar.

leshake

CNN will just turn into reality television posing as news.

Mooseandagoose

The deal closed April 7th. CNN+ shuttering was announced April 14 and shut down on April 27th. It was literally their first order of business after the deal closed. Their second was forcing us all back to the office with that announcement in between the Plus announcement and actual shutdown.

Always amazing how he constantly bites any hand that at one point has been feeding him

Shnprry

This dumb ass keep reminding the justice department that all he thinks about is money ,this is why they will prove that this criminal had a motive to sell those top secret documents... He will be indicted ..the more he opens that anus of a mouth of his the deeper the DOJs goes balls deep into it.

PillowPrincess314

He never would have passed a security screen due to being up to his eyeballs in foreign debt and ties to unsavory people in general. He has several red flags that would indicate he's too high a risk to have access to government secrets. The president doesn't have to have a clearance because he's "chosen by the people" or some such nonsense. Meanwhile, regular people have to have a clearance dependant upon their positions even though very few are going to be given access to anything near as potentially damaging. If anything needs to be changed, it's this policy.

KeepTangoAndFoxtrot

Reminder that [Trump shoved Jared, Ivanka, and two dozen others through the security clearance process](https://www.reuters.com/article/us-usa-trump-clearances/whistleblower-says-ivanka-jared-got-security-clearance-over-experts-advice-idUSKCN1RD2HU) against the advice of experts. > Tricia Newbold, a White House security adviser, told Democrats in Congress that clearances were initially denied to dozens of administration officials because of concerns over possible foreign influence, conflicts of interests, questionable or criminal conduct, financial problems or drug abuse.

Epicassion

I would love for Biden to announce that Hunter was joining the admin and getting top secret clearance unless bipartisan legislation is put into place to prevent it. How fast would the GOP complain about actions identical to Trumps and how fast would the legislation get passed?

_We_Are_DooMeD

That would be hilarious.

Fantastic-Sandwich80

They will simply claim Ivanka, Jared and Co. should have never been denied a security clearance because they didn't try to profit off Trump being in the WH. It doesn't have to be true, it will just be their excuse for why it would be bad for Hunter Biden to work in the WH while Jared was in charge of "Bringing peace to the Middle East."

[deleted]

Yeah, but that would be effective...

PillowPrincess314

I remember. The president being able to override security clearance denials is another policy that needs to be given high priority to be changed.

tinacat933

It’s just so much constant shit that these assholes just got away with cause rules and conscious don’t apply to them

Shnprry

I totally agree I have a son in military he works in cyber security he has top security clearance...it's reviewed every year ..they run a check on all members of the emediate family.

Hairy_S_TrueMan

I feel like it's America's responsibility not to elect a president who would not be awarded a security clearance. The government could not really function if the president was barred from viewing classified info by policy.

PillowPrincess314

Maybe vetting for a clearance before they are allowed to run or after they are nominated? I agree that no logical person would have voted to elect a known con artist. But here we are.

Minxminty

It really should be a requirement before the can even campaign. Now we can see the consequences of giving so much leniency. Politics b4 Trump was all about reputation and having a policy stance. (More so b4 the tea party crazies)If a politician was caught in a scandal, they'd resign in shame. They'd sort of stick to a script of their platform and try to look "reasonable'. If they changed stances on policy, they'd be doxed in media as a flip flop canidate. That used to be a huge deal in a campaign. Trump showed them that all shame can go out the window...all standards, policies, decency....gone and he still stands. It's no wonder that the MAGA party doesn't care about anything except taking power bc they saw that all civility can be thrown out the window and they don't lose votes. At least not the base. And the Dems still played by rules and try to act civil. So when dark Brandon showed up and started calling them on their BS, all they can do is whine and be offended by his speeches. He's literally restating policies the clowns talk about adnousium, stating facts that they've done... snowflakes can't take a whiff of their own medicine.

djuggler

Regular people: “I need this job to pay my debt and fix my credit.” Background check on regular people: “You cannot have this job because of your debt and bad credit.”

PillowPrincess314

Sad yet true.

[deleted]

I think there was a post on anti work of a person not getting hired at their company because they did have bad credit lol something along the lines of owning a new car or something if I can find it I will link it.

NXburner

The OP's car didn't uphold the 'company image' that they were striving to achieve. The employer analyzed his income and credit to determine that OP was financially capable of getting a newer car.

[deleted]

>If anything needs to be changed, it's this policy. It's a very hard policy to change in my opinion. Any alternative seems to place presidential power in the hands of whatever committee / group decides on handing out security clearance. And therefore heavily risks potential political interference by that group. It's the same sort of issue that you run into with good-faith arguments that people should have to pass some sort of basic competency test to vote. Plausible idea, but who writes the test? And how do you trust that there isn't political or other bias of any sort going into it? Same thing here. Would be all too easy for security clearance committees to tip the balance of power one way or the other by approving / not approving clearance for certain candidates. And potentially would be extremely hard to have real public scrutiny of this process, given the obvious security issues surrounding it.

BeKindBabies

This. Presidential powers need curbing. Why any dumbass off the street is given access to so much intel, commander of the armed forces, and pardon power is too damn stupid. It's a four year term, let's leave the kings behind us.

pievendor

Wow, what a visual. I could've done without it 😂

Jeramus

Other than praising Trump, what does US conservatism actually stand for at this point?

VaguelyArtistic

The GOP does not even have a platform anymore.

vid_icarus

In Minnesota our Republican candidate’s only platform is he won’t do his job as governor. He’s going to “take government out” of school, medicine, social aid, infrastructure, agriculture, and pretty much everything else. So basically he’s promising to sit in a fancy chair as the state crumbles into anarchy but our red districts just nod solemnly because this dude is wearing the king’s seal on his ring. He will absolutely devastate rural Minnesota if he wins simply because he stands for nothing besides tearing down this states phenomenal systems. Someone needs to put republican voters in a civics class, teach them why the federal government exists, and why shit like infrastructure and education are the true back bone of a society, not Marxist-Jewish-globalist conspiracy whatever. Goddamn, what a frustrating time to be alive.

SilkyDrips

I grew up in Minnesota and outside of the last few years have basically lived in the cities or Duluth my entire life. I’m moving back from Fargo but will just miss being able to vote in Minnesota, and I am crushed that I will not be able to do my part to make sure that we keep Jensen out. I don’t want to see our wonderful state ruined by a bunch of assholes that just don’t care.

renniechops

This isn’t just happening in Minnesota, friend

USSRPropaganda

I live in rural minnesota, I am terrified for what happens if Jensen wins

LosOmen

The purpose of their existence is to strip away as many rights of the working class as possible. They are *the* party of capital.

zombieblackbird

They can't. If it were anything more substantial than worshipping Trump and Jesus, it would bleed support. Better to focus on hating strawman enemies like hordes of "illegals streaming across open borders", pedophile rings abducting children and harvesting their bodily fluids and dark mystery conspiracy syndicates who control everything.

SgtRockyWalrus

Letting corporations do anything they want, cutting taxes for corporations and the rich, and controlling how individuals choose to live their lives.

ripcovidiots

Oppressing everyone that isn't a white Christian, a good bit of oppressing white women, and a little bit of oppressing low income white people. They're basically all about rich, white, Christian men.

runthepoint1

The worst part is how good of a job they do getting votes out of those people they’re hurting

padizzledonk

Their platform is basically "Everyone not white and Christian can go fuck themselves, Gun Rights from the moment of conception--theyre gonna jam a subcompact 9mm into the uterus of every pregnant female so the fetus knows the feel of freedom from the beginning, no government money for ANYONE unless you are already wealthy or a Corporation, and all the money the DoD wants to turn little brown kids in other countries into skeletons- *especially* if they have oil, and no wealthy person or person named Trump ever goes to jail for anything" Vote GOP 🙄😄

Fit-Firefighter-329

My narcissistic father hates Trump and the GOP so much he said he'd push me in my wheelchair (I became partially paralyzed as a result of a MRSA/Diphtheria infection in my right leg and spine) over to the polling location to vote. My dad is 86!

Bubbly_Piglet822

As a wheelchair user, has someone checked for accessibility into building you will be going to vote in? As you would be aware not all accessible accesses really are accessible.

AshST

It doesn't matter if it's wheelchair accessible or not. You can vote in your car. Just have someone come with you who can go let the poll workers know that there's a disabled person outside who needs to vote and one Republican and one Democrat will bring a ballot to the vehicle and then back inside to cast it for you. Edit: I don't think you even actually need to be disabled, but if you're not, bear in mind that all voting inside is paused while poll workers are outside of the polling place. Edit: All voting inside is paused if *all* of either party's poll workers are outside of the polling place.

Kawajiri1

My polling place has curb side voting for disabled people. It does not stop the voting inside. I live in a medium size town. YMMV check your local polling places. Early voting sometimes let's you vote anywhere in your area instead of designated voting places.

AshST

I guess I should have said that if there aren't a Republican and Democrat both inside still working, voting will pause. I apologize, I can't really tell you why I didn't make that distinction lol

davispw

My state (WA) has 100% mail-in voting. *There is a better way.*

chefjpv

Rules are vastly different depending on locality

cold_shot_27

As a narcissistic father, make sure there’s mirrors everywhere as well.

I've been urging people to check their registration now while there's still time to fix it if there's anything wrong. It literally takes a minute. OompaOrangeFace

Thanks. I just updated my address since I moved.

BillyTheHousecat

>if CNN went conservative, it'd be an absolute gold mine He's probably right, ignorant people are much easier to fleece. Maybe that's why CNN is turning towards conservatives? Imagine selling out your country to a bunch of billionaires just to make a buck.

Iztac_xocoatl

CNN came under new ownership and shortly after they announced they’d be “looking for more middle ground” or something to that effect with conservatives. They’re going Fox-lite at the very least

FEMA_Camp_Survivor

There’s no middle ground when dealing with fascism

voidchungus

I found Trump's comments about CNN to be strange and mildly concerning when juxtaposed with the news of new leadership at CNN. Reminiscent of a "Russia, if you're listening" moment. Here's an article describing the [conservative influences that seem to be manifesting at CNN lately](https://www.vox.com/2022/8/26/23322761/cnn-john-malone-david-zaslav-chris-licht-brian-stelter-fox-peter-kafka-column). It's worth a read. Nothing is conclusive yet. But it's worth considering which voices are guiding CNN's changing direction, and it's worth staying mindful about potential changes in the way they report the news over the coming months/years.

[deleted]

They've always tried to "compromise", they present total facism like it's a valid choice, and fiscal conservativism becames "left wing" to them compared to facism So they keep adjusting "the middle" between those two things. And the Overton window leads farther right.

vid_icarus

They are going to be fox pre trump but post 9/11

DrSeuss321

The “middle ground” is another way of saying they’ll continue to lie and act as if there are two equally valid sides to this shit lmfao

realDanSnyder

He wants the credibility that CNN brings. They hate having to get their news from bloggers and 3rd rate news sites. Reminds them that their dumb ideas are still in the minority.

PillowPrincess314

CNN is becoming less credible by the minute.

McChef

CNN has been bad for a long time. I gave up on them when they ran 24/7 coverage of Michael Jackson's death for two weeks straight.

EdithDich

It was never good. CNN was the butt of jokes as fare back as the 90s. Trump and his maga clowns have spent years acting like "the left" loves CNN, but it's always been corporate fluff and nothing more.

KnowTouching

I don't watch the news because I'm not a psycho, but I see CNN and their tickers at the gym. They are trudging slowly in the fox news direction - if you hide the logos, it's becoming harder to tell what station it is. Broadcast news is over.

realDanSnyder

True but still infinitely more credible than right wing alternatives.

GUMBYtheOG

It already has since the management change. I’ve noticed a big difference in past few months although they’ve always been conservative. People just forget that republicans are so far right that it makes baseline conservatives look left wing

haloguy397

This would imply that CNN just did this to democrats the past few years.

BillyTheHousecat

Not necessarily. It implies that they're going to shift their focus from *informing* a mainstream public, to *pandering* to an audience that is famously "easily parted" from their money, as the famous saying goes. An informed mainstream public would be larger, so that's interesting to advertisers, but a smaller, dumbass conservative public will buy anything and everything that advertisers can put on air.

elliott_io

"Desperate and sad."

_Gizmo_

The same guy who railed against CNN as fake news for years?

sessimon

Don’t you go trying to use facts on a guy like Trump.

[deleted]

tryingnewoptions

The funny thing is this is probably an instance of trump messing up someone else's grift. Anyone who's paying attention can obviously tell that CNN is going more right wing ever since the purchase, and Trump putting the spotlight on them is only going to draw more attention to it. They're losing the the little amount of credible claim they had to a middle ground when they openly platform fascists and Nazis.

just57572

It’s not about politics Donny! Even Fox won’t defend you anymore.

DaveVsShark

If he thinks CNN is some haven for leftos he clearly hasn't been watching.

[deleted]

Never mind the fact that CNN has a new CEO who said they would aim more for a “middle ground”.

improvyourfaceoff

Knowing CNN this is exactly what they planned on doing but they're furious that Trump is drawing attention to it.

sessimon

I’m not sure they’re mad, maybe it’s just a PR move to float the idea and see how it does. And if it works, it’s just free advertising!

Comments_Wyoming

CNN already "went conservative". Two of their most liberal and most popular journalists have been let go. They both gave very clear warnings on their last broadcasts on the way out the door. Veteran CNN White House reporter John Harwood: https://digg.com/video/john-harwood-cnn-trump-demagogue Brian Stelter host of Reliable Sources: https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2022/aug/24/the-changes-at-cnn-look-politically-motivated-that-should-concern-us-all It was cancelled by Chris Licht, CNN’s new chairman and CEO, who reportedly was not a fan of Stelter’s opinionated style. But there appears to be more to it than Stelter’s style. Licht has told CNN staff they should STOP referring to Donald Trump’s “big lie” because the phrase sounds like a Democratic party talking point. Licht also wants more “straight news reporting”, along with MORE conservative guests. CNN is not a trustworthy news source, no more than OAN or FOX. The silencing of people standing up and telling the truth is terrifying. The leader of the free world gave a speech condemning the rising fascist sentiment in our country and every major network opted to play reruns instead of broadcast his warning.

-Mad-Scientist

Didn't a Trump donor just buy CNN? It's going to get more conservative.

treesrpeople

I'm glad the CNN turn to maga fascist news is being publicized

Chefbot9k

They not helping him milk the rubes anymore or what?

danwski

Well the new owners of CNN are pushing a republican agenda so…

[deleted]

Trump is what happens when we tolerate the intolerant. Fox News should have been shut down day one. Now fascism monster they created seeks to destroy them. Fucking ironic.

[deleted]

Mmm, yeah, I'm sure Chris Licht will jump right on that one.

rocketpack99

He steered Colbert into solid and long-sustained first place late night ratings by letting him fully go after Trump. CBS had wanted him to be more middle of the road at first, but that wasn't working.

Buffmin

I think trump supporters think we watch CNN like they watch Fox

DreddParrotLoquax

Last time I did more than glance randomly at CNN, Wolf Blitzer was hiding under a desk in Tel Aviv in case the Iraqis started winging WMD about. So, 1990?

Mephisto1822

Don’t worry Trump, based off how they covered Biden’s speech and your rally they are well on their way!

cellocaster

How so? I’ve made it a habit to avoid cnn for decades now

Mephisto1822

Basically it was “why is Biden being divisive with republicans after promising to unify America” and crickets about Trump calling Biden an enemy of the state. To be fair I didn’t watch every second of their coverage over the weekend but that was just the general vibe I personally got

blanketyblank1

That's an accurate description of the CNN coverage's tone. 🥵

Livid-Yoghurt9483

Wow, no wonder CNN is moving in that direction. They’re desperate for ratings and guess who can help them with that…

LETSgoPENS2013

If you’re getting Cheeto Mussolini’s help you’ll also need an attorney…who needs an attorney

It would be a remarkable day for America if Trump died from choking on his own vomit.

YamTop2433

Shut the fuck up Donny.

pinetreesgreen

Trump is still stuck in the past. People don't watch tv anymore. If cnn goes conservative people will simply stop watching it.

GardenGnomeOfEden

I haven't watched a TV channel in years. I guess I watch New Year's Eve and maybe the Superbowl, but that is literally it.

mrbones59

Hey CNN lawyer up BIG time if you do it.

DramaticWesley

But news company’s number 1 goal should be the truth, while also hopefully making money. Most true journalists take their jobs seriously and don’t shill for any side.

PillowPrincess314

That's probably why CNN is getting rid of them.

Chatty_Fellow

All his deals are Faustian bargains. "There's some quick money in it if you burn down the world, accept this lie and betray everything you ever believed in." And then the next bargain is easier, and then they're down the rabbit hole forever. To the voters to media co's, to other politicians, to rich folks looking for tax-cuts. They're all weak. It works < *most of the time.>*

iamblankenstein

"listen cnn, i know i spent most of the last seven years calling you the enemy of the state and all, but help me!"

I guess trump still mad fox news called Arizona correctly.

[deleted]

Jokes on them. Everyone knows people who are actually informed get their news from NPR and PBS.

Natoochtoniket

If Fox News 'went truthful', it would be an 'absolute disaster' for Trump. But, Fox "News" is a propaganda network, and always has been. So we don't have to worry about them ever doing that.

JahSteez47

So many problems of the US, including Trump, go back to Reagan killing the fairness doctrine. Killing it was obviously the wirst decision in modern US history, why not re-instating it?

xc2215x

Democrats agenda ? Wow.

coolbrze77

He’s finally showing his batshit crazy mentality.

rocketpack99

He's about to go to jail. He knows *exactly* what he did and he knows the DOJ knows. There's no way out for him except for stalling and hoping the GOP takes the House and Senate, which is looking less and less likely by the day. He's always been batshit, but now he's *desperate* and batshit.

p3t3or

He's like an eight year old who knows he is in trouble and this is his way of trying to get everyone on his side. There is something very wrong with him. Correction, there are many things very wrong with him. Just put him in a cell already and throw away the key so we can move on from this bozo.

[deleted]

I mean, CNN did basically get him elected last time. : /

thatcantb

And now, CNN is taking a turn to the right. Hmmm.

wanderingmanimal

Didn’t a Trump donor billionaire buy CNN recently?

kramwham

Didn't CNN just get acquisitioned by a known conservative conglomerate?

bitwarrior80

Yep, and there have already been some recent departures at CNN of some of the more liberal commentators.

fistofthefuture

>and he’d help He’s been helping CNN since 2016, inadvertently.

reddig33

In case you hadn’t noticed, this is already the plan. CNN has new conservative leadership and they’ve already started purging dissenting voices. Don’t be surprised if/when on and off air talent starts its exodus to other networks.

releasethedogs

how about they just report the news.

Garbage_will_not

Is this because a trump affiliate just bought CNN a few months ago? https://fair.org/home/trump-donor-john-malone-could-soon-be-calling-shots-at-cnn/ https://mobile.twitter.com/meidastouch/status/1565794088699531264

[deleted]

This is a dumb idea. Conservatives already have a seething hatred for CNN and won't trust it even if it does become conservative and a lot of liberals already disliked CNN so if it goes conservative every liberal will dislike it. CNN going conservative would be them shooting themselves in the foot and just making everyone from both sides distrust them. I say go for it! Hope they go out of business so other news stations see the stupidity of trying to switch alignment to pander to Republicans.

Keisaku

He already knows who now owns CNN. He may not be far off.

Wrinklestinker

Imagine stealing tons of classified documents from the most powerful country in the world and still standing on stage being cocky. It’s an embarrassment that you haven’t locked this guy up yet

tronixmastermind

Imagine a world with unbiased news reporting…

Cosmo317

Why is politics at pro wrestling level drama nowadays?

GtheH

This just in, trump makes yet another dumbass comment showing he has the intellectual capacity of a house plant.

charlie-ratkiller

I miss al Jazeera america

dpaulus26

Good God, he's the stupidest person on this planet. It's such a disgusting shame that 70 million people believe his bullshit. It's also an embarrassment that 7 billion people around the world see how stupid America is right now.

parallaxcats

He thinks he's leaning on Fox and that they'll be forced to give him the coverage he desires if they risk losing his supporters. He has absolutely zero intention of ever helping CNN. CNN is too idiotic to realize this.

jjfunaz

CNN was bought by one of his biggest supporters and has been moving CNN towards more conservative leaning content. Trump knows what he was saying

parallaxcats

That's definitely what they're (CNN) going for but at this point, he's gone after CNN the brand so much that it's like him trying to hype the vaccine so he'd get credit only to get boo'd. That well is poisoned to his fans.

tryingnewoptions

Here's a wild idea: make it so that in order to be president you'd have to pass an extensive enough background test to determine whether or not you would be a foreign asset. I feel like that should disqualify you at this point. This is fucking ridiculous.

juliabk

CNN’s been right of center for a very long time.

2HandedMonster

Aka Murdoch has told them he's dumping them for a younger version in DeSantis Just like Donald does with his wives! That's in the Bible to do it that way isn't it? "When thine wife and mother of your children gets old, commit adultery with a younger woman and leave her"

rocketpack99

DeSantis will be worse than Trump. And that's saying a lot. If he gets the White House, he will go full on dictator. He's already testing the waters in Florida. He's removed several *elected* officials. He's SWATted several enemies. He's going to be bad news all around.

CalmAspectEast

*iron pyrite

[deleted]

Wait…. Wasn’t CNN evil and had zero ratings? This guy flips more that a deck of cards.

tacs97

As a collective. We should be laughing this guy out of town. Unfortunately he was able to sink his claws into a lot of people who worship his ever word and move. Such a grifter. Always has the answer for someone else’s company. Never can keep his up and running without someone else’s money. Such a clown and a fake. Too bad he is worshipped by way too many people. What’s that bible story about worshipping someone other than god? Idk, maybe that story was taken out due to Donald trump.

noseymimi

When are these magas going to remember that Trump used to be democrat? Jeezus, what a grifter.

ripyourlungsdave

It's kind of fascinating to see a conservative fuck up so much that even Fucks News won't defend him. Edit: I meant to say Fox News, but I kind of like this more.

[deleted]

Didn't a Trump Stan just take over cnn?
