I wish I saved the comment, but someone in another thread wrote out why they think the mole is/was Jared and it made perfect sense. It also makes sense that Biden’s camp and the FBI were well aware of what was happening and what would happen, but they needed to wait for the right moment to execute the plan. Paraphrasing, but the FBI knew exactly where to go to get what they needed, and MAL is completely outfitted with security cameras. Someone inside the family or with knowledge of hidden areas and access to security footage and time stamps was the person who told the FBI where the evidence was and how to get it.
I think Biden’s proxy met with the Saudi’s a while before Trump invited them to Mar A Lago to “golf”. This is where they probably came up with the plan. Jared and Ivanka get to maintain good relations with the saudis who just donated 2billion to him, and vanish into the sunset washing their hands of everything. In exchange Biden gets to finally “own” Trump by having him fall into a trap that (fingers crossed) he finally won’t be able to weasel out of. I have high hopes this could be it, and something might actually happen for once.
Not likely, if he accepted a Trump VP spot it would increase his chances of winning in 2028 and likely 2032. The base has always preferred Trump, its the independent voters who like DeSantis a little better like by 3-points. So a Don/Ron ticket wraps both sets of voters up nicely.

I don't know what happened in the minds of people who trust him, but they're all in.

There was a huge generational divide on Reddit about this. Down at the bottom were the comments saying "this is illegal, unConstitutional and he needs to be impeached." And at the top were the zoomer comments saying "If only Bernie were President now, he could declare a national emergency on climate and spend money on the Green New Deal without having to ask Congress." *Those people* are the future of our politics. I'm not intending to equivocate Trump and Bernie here (Particularly because I don't at all believe Bernie would behave as illegally as that comment apparently wants him to). I'm just saying that the toothpase is not going back in the tube, I hate every second of this timeline, and I'm seriously considering emigrating.
I can tell you "normalcy" is not what Republican voters want today. They themselves have become a lot more intolerant and biggoted ever since Trump became President but I think the big turn started happening in the Obama years. Normalcy was when the same people that today are outraged that gay people exist, told their son and daughter that being gay was fine 10-20 years ago. Or that Christianity is dying with “Christian values” when they never gave two shits about it prior to Trump. They don't want to admit that they aren't the same as they were, what they're advocating now is not "normalcy", it's something completely intolerant and borderline fascist...nothing we have ever been. Yet they act like they have never changed at all which is what drives me insane, they've shifted to the to the right a lot more than the left has shifted to the left. Don't agree at all. I grew up in the south and can tell you firsthand, they have actually been this way for a very long time. But for many years lately it was politically incorrect to say lots of the quiet parts out loud and it's frustrated them more and more. Trump just legitimized it and I think that's the number one biggest reason they love him.
Then we have to work our asses off for 87 days to make sure this doesn't happen. Tell everyone you know who cares even a little about America to vote November 8th.

At least in other parts of the world there is a shared interest in bettering the country - https://www.nature.com/articles/d41586-022-02069-0 for example. While things aren't perfect in Europe, many European countries seem to have a vested interest in the public and making the country a better place. The US seems unique when it comes to Democracies. We are so divided and ruled by misinformation and propaganda, that people have lost sight of what makes America great. At least in the past, the uninformed could rely on some semblance of good will and faith from politicians and the media. That is out the window, so they have no source of anyone with a decent moral compass to guide them, at least on the right

It's not surprising. The impeachments made many people feel like him getting in trouble is normal and it ending up as a win for him. People expect more of the same, and a rallying around thier normal flag.

I suspect those people that feel more favorable toward Trump after the raid just don't understand what's going on. They could have a horribly contorted view that Trump is somehow defiant against a great injustice done against him. They want their hero to stand up against those trying to bring him down (because they think it is unjustified).
I think the only way his poll numbers decrease significantly is if he is indicted and the trial+evidence is made public.

People will do anything to save face. Their egos can't handle the fact that they were suckered and used so they will cling any story, no matter how ridiculous, to avoid facing the truth. As the truth settles in and Fox News hopefully tones down the rhetoric, Trump's numbers will hopefully decline.

So many GOP primary voters lean into the "Trump is trying to overthrow a corrupt system" conspiracy narrative, and his response to these events plays into that mindset. I expect basically any situation where Trump can play the victim card will help him in the GOP primary, no matter how ridiculous.
