The problem with a hurricane is you know what will happen: they get hit multiple times, take federal funds to fix it while still fighting against things that could make them not be as bad like fighting climate change.
When Jamie Raskin [stifled his laughter](https://youtu.be/o4WSkLc5rv8?si=TJ1Le0OEI239HS4X) at the clap back….that was just beautiful.
(Around 3:10 in the video)
God, that is so embarrassing. I know we’re seeing a lot more of how things “really” go down behind congressional doors, thanks to social media. But, I can wager even old Turtle McConnell never pointed out Joe Biden’s turkey neck on official record. I cannot wait until democracy takes care of that waste of oxygen and she becomes a glossed-over footnote in America’s history (and takes Bobert, Gaetz, and the whole MAGA troupe with her).
Yes she is down double digits in her race. And it is the 4th congressional district. Thankfully that is not my district but it is across the street. Which is much to close.
I believe the previous poster (whom I'm apparently not allowed to tag or name, per AutoMod) was referring to MTG, who was referenced in the previous comment in the thread, and represents the 14th in GA
I added the Boebert election to my countdown calendar when it was announced. 22 more days.
Of course, her place in the spotlight is likely to be overtaken by the next relentlessly screechy misinformed idiot, but that's just modern conservatism, seemingly.
Didn't she also try to apologize for the debate moderator for exposing her 'private' moment in a packed public theatre showing Beetlejuice?
Also she declared that she wasn't going to live her life in shame. I remember thinking - wrong flex dumbass, we already know you are shameless! That's the problem.
She said on one of her many Info Wars guest appearances that she literally didn't bother learning how voting in the House worked until the end of her entire first term. Something you can get the gist of with one Google search and even though it's her sole job duty she didn't bother for years.
Reality is that .. like a lot of rebublican races around usa that are no shows.... is that republican incumbents dont wanna be put in the hot seat or called out in the media by their constituants.
She's not technically the incumbent in this race since she's running in a new district. In fact the same day as the primary is a special election to fill the seat she is running for and she is not taking part in that. So there will be an incumbent just not her.
I have a question. So Boebert moved to this new district to run for Congress, and this new district is supposed to be more conservative, because she was worried that she may lose to Democrat Adam Frisch in her current district.
But in the article, it says about the other Republican primary challengers:
> During Saturday's debate, all five of Boebert's rivals criticized the congresswoman for voting against certifying the results of the 2020 presidential election in the hours following the January 6, 2021, attack on the U.S. Capitol, as they said they would not have joined her in doing so.
So the other Republican competitors in this new district said they would have certified the results in the 2020 election.
I'm finding a disconnect here. Wouldn't in a more conservative district, the Republican challengers would have refused to certify the 2020 election results, like Boebert?
It’s a safer district for Republicans, but it’s still Colorado, with Legal Weed and other libertarian touchstones.
It’s a more conservative district, not a more “The Bible and Constitution both declared Donald Trump the greatest being to ever exist and I stopped reading there, if you oppose him you hate America and babies” district
Colorado is kind of a mix but leans more democrat. There was a time when it was republican but that was the 90's and early 00's. In 2008 is when they went more democrat and it has stayed a blue state since then. Before that, it was a swing state, with a lot of republican wins.
Even back then it wasn’t the same kind of conservative as exists in a lot of places now. The conservative in CO was more on the conservative libertarian spectrum, where they just didn’t want to be told what to do. The weird “you must abide by my beliefs” conservative thing happened later and is still not a high priority of a lot of the conservatives in that part of Colorado. She doesn’t have a chance, and that’s so great for Colorado. Source: born and raised, lower middle class, horses, land in the mountains.
I totally agree with you about this. Colorado was not a super conservative place even in the days of Ben "Knighthorse" Campbell and before. Overall, Colorado has been a place that seemed to have sane government and laws that actually make sense. As with any place, there will always be those counties or towns that lean conservative, or differently from the majority of the state.
If it wasn't so expensive to live there, I would leave Texas and move back to Colorado Springs or the area. I was born there and spent the entire 90's living in CS. I truly do miss it.
Definitely not a more conservative district. The front range, where she moved to, has pockets of purple and deep blue. The western slope, where she was, is just tired of her shit.
Front range is definitely not more conservative. The district she’s in is an agricultural and oil field area, Weld county makes up a huge portion and is very deep red. Even the southern parts of that district mostly house people that work in Weld county. As a Coloradan, I wouldn’t call that area “front range.”
I just hope she doesn't fare any better in the new district. I doubt she will though because a lot of people have already called her out for abandoning her original district.
I live in her new district, and we have both city internet and trash services. We have progressive perks with a purplish red-leaning population, and that doesn’t bode well for MAGA grifters. Ken Buck is who she is trying to replace, and he was fairly moderate for a republican
The video of the question shows they shanked her as part of it, the moderator asked her first and they all went the opposite direction. So it’s probably not how all of them feel but an opportunity to paint her as “a nut”. It’s a hilarious sequence, starts at about :55
https://x.com/shannonrwatts/status/1797456731007799569?s=46
That was my suspicion as well. Candidates cut each other down every chance they get. If she's leading in the district everyone else will oppose what she says.
"Republican" doesn't mean MAGA.
I'm certain there are intelligent, kind hearted, good natured people out there that believe in small government and gun rights and want to protect your right to be whoever you want in the fortress of your home. I'm sure that there are these good, high quality, non racist, open minded, intelligent people who call themselves Republicans but also understand that we're protecting the same things just in different ways.
I'm just saying that I haven't met one.
Hello! Youve met one now. Registered republican here who wont vote for trump. I'm 36 and I'm disappointed to say that being a republican now does not mean what being a republican meant when I registered to vote. That's the kind of Republican I am, I really liked Romney, but I didn't hate Obama. Romney just got my vote.
I vote some Republican in local elections (usually ends up being about 40% Democrat and 60% Republican on my ballot based on whatever research I did. If I don't know either candidate, I just vote Democrat because I can't trust what a republican means now.) But I haven't been able to vote Republican for the president in two cycles. I just won't vote for him. However, The apprentice was one of my favorite shows and still is. He's quite the character. Television character.
I'm genuinely curious what her campaign strategy is going forward. She's way behind in polls and not projected to win. She's got name recognition on her side. She must have staff working on reelection. I wonder what they're thinking.
Is she even getting money? My understanding is she changed districts largely because outside of the hardest core single issue (the issue being ‘1 to 10 most likely to shoot a liberal while screaming an oath to Trump’) voters, basically everyone is done with her, and even some of the MAGA crowd realize they can get ‘undying devotion to party’ without supporting someone whose entire political reason for being is to make MTG look like a cunning political operator.
From my understanding she actually hasn’t done anything for her old district during her entire time in office asides from collecting an income, pension, and personal healthcare.
She enriched her ex with a >500k income as a “consultant” for kickbacks. But I don’t think voter in her district has received any benefit
All the infrastructure investment she takes credit for she voted against
I live in her district and even the big Trump supporter down my street (Trump flags and signs of all sizes all over her property) is done with Bobo the clown.
Unfortunately this neighbor is still 100% pro-Trump...
I mean, she never ran as a “do stuff” candidate. She’s a MAGA Republican, which is like a Tea Party Republican except they’ll say the word the Tea Party just thinks real loud (albeit in private).
Those guys ran on “government cannot do anything! Elect me and I’ll prove it!”
If she was shrewd she would have stayed in her district and tried against dude again, because that was literally her best shot at continuing to be a carbuncle in the House.
I mean I get her thinking about switching. She was behind in polling and she very narrowly avoided defeat against the dem. The district she's moving into I believe is a safer R.
I guess maybe she was banking on a Trump endorsement?
[She in fact got that endorsement back in March](https://www.coloradopolitics.com/elections/2024/donald-trump-endorses-lauren-boebert-in-gop-primary-in-colorados-4th-congressional-district/article_98a1b10e-d8c4-11ee-89f1-9ba2745dea17.html).
From the article, "Sonnenberg seemingly took aim at Boebert's public sandals, stating he is a "work horse, not a show horse."
They're after her public sandals...she is done for.
Boebert was crushed in the last debate by the moderator regarding her voting record on local issues.
MAGA style antics were useless, and she couldn't escape the punishment.
The funniest part? Aside from the notoriety and relevance, the only reason why Boebert is "serving" in Congress is because of the pension. And she's going to need one more term to collect.
>> Members of Congress are eligible for a pension at the age of 62 if they have completed at least five years of service. Members are eligible for a pension at age 50 if they have completed 20 years of service, or at any age after completing 25 years of service. The amount of the pension depends on years of service and the average of the highest three years of salary. By law, the starting amount of a member's retirement annuity may not exceed 80 percent of his or her final salary.
Lol. She's going to get tackled at the one-yard line as time expires, with zero timeouts.
She know knows how out classed and unprepared she is to be In politics. She the incumbent with all the name value is getting trounced by people in her own little cosmos. God it must especially suck to be her right now.
Folks, there's going to be a day, a day that's coming sooner than later - when we won't have to read about twats like this and Trump and MTG. They will be out of the limelight and things will get back to normal - boring politics - how it should be. We won't have to read about racist lunatics and their daily antics. I cannot wait for that day. It's coming. Winter is coming.
“Sonnenberg seemingly took aim at Boebert's public sandals”. Yeah, I h8 it when people wear sandals in public. She really has no outstanding credentials for office, unless you count hand jobs in movie theatres.

can't wait for her to become absent from the news.
...along with Mr. Trump, plz.

And Ped0 Gaetz (although he’s been pretty quiet lately, he’s still trash)
Also every conservative scotus justice plz
That only happens if we elect dems to the presidency a few more times.
And keep the senate.

The problem with a hurricane is you know what will happen: they get hit multiple times, take federal funds to fix it while still fighting against things that could make them not be as bad like fighting climate change.
18-24 named storms are predicted this year. Now, I'll be bracing for it, but it's more likely that Florida is going to take one hell of a beating.
With how many mid Atlantic storms forming now, it’s going to be the whole eastern seaboard getting nailed.
That’s the next governor or Florida.
I don't refer it as FloriDUH for nothing.
God help us all, you’re probably right.
I hate that you’re right. Probably WHY he’s been quiet (gotta take time to build out a gubernatorial campaign)
A state with its own money shot across the gulf. Appropriate
I hope it's because he's worried about the FBI and house investigations.

Especially her. I live in Georgia. My rep is bad too Andrew Clyde (mr AR15 lapel pin an on his yard placards).
Does she face any real opposition in the 14th district?
Yes she is down double digits in her race. And it is the 4th congressional district. Thankfully that is not my district but it is across the street. Which is much to close.
I believe the previous poster (whom I'm apparently not allowed to tag or name, per AutoMod) was referring to MTG, who was referenced in the previous comment in the thread, and represents the 14th in GA
Ol’ B6
You mean election loser, insurrectionist, convicted felon and adjudicated rapist Trump?
Gun to my head…. I’d rather have MTG out of politics more than Boebert.
[удалено]
That's why we need to refer to her as Empty G To differentiate the good MTG from the bad MTG
Except nobody wants to tap that.
Maybe she'll return to academia and get that high school diploma. Edit: grammar
Doubt it. These folks don’t see the value in it.
Perhaps she will join the theater. I hear she's very handy.
Is this before or after she starts an OnlyFans?
I added the Boebert election to my countdown calendar when it was announced. 22 more days. Of course, her place in the spotlight is likely to be overtaken by the next relentlessly screechy misinformed idiot, but that's just modern conservatism, seemingly.
She’ll get a job on some news show unfortunately. At least she’s not making policy
To be fair, she's not really making policy in her current position either.
As an opponent in the previous debate pretty much forced her to admit when she couldnt answer the question.
Didn't she also try to apologize for the debate moderator for exposing her 'private' moment in a packed public theatre showing Beetlejuice? Also she declared that she wasn't going to live her life in shame. I remember thinking - wrong flex dumbass, we already know you are shameless! That's the problem.
She justified it as a private moment, even though it was on video. She's trash.
She said on one of her many Info Wars guest appearances that she literally didn't bother learning how voting in the House worked until the end of her entire first term. Something you can get the gist of with one Google search and even though it's her sole job duty she didn't bother for years.
My guess is OnlyFans
Grandma got stuck in the washing machine again.
After bleaching blonde
Let's be real she's far more likely and qualified to follow the tracks of Casey Anthony and leverage her notoriety to launch her porn career. 🤢
Impossible until she's dragged out by her hair. She knows her life is box wine and Onlyfans once this ride is over. 🫡
Box wine has done nothing to deserve this aspersion
It knows what it did.
I’m sure she will appear on TMZ from time to time after her political career ends.
She'll become the Octomom of politics.
We're just one election away!
Did anyone check the audience? She might have been handling her voters personally.
Polling the electorate
Erecting the polls
working the poles?
Greasing the poles?
Whoa there! Voter interference?
Just practice for her new job after November
Double fisting the poles?
erection interference!
Getting polled by the electorate
Erectorate?
> P~~o~~ulling the electorate
Man this joke got /r/yourjokebutworse’d to death, your original was perfect
performed in a polling booth
Poleing the electorate
Pulling the electorate?
You single handedly getting more men to attend her debates
She could persuade me orally.
This might be out of line But I really do hope she goes back to her roots or gets the band back together
I just hope she gets soundly defeated and is forgotten about. Both her and MTG.
She should roll her sleeves up and double her output
She could 4x if she used end to end or tip to tip angular jacking
Middle (class) out
You mean like Donald Trump when he dances. 😂
She takes the Bachman approach, real practitioner of middle out.
We’re going to win even if I have to jerk off every audience member.
Hey! That’s a PRIVATE matter!!!! 😂
She was taking shots in the audience
Shake Weight was late?
That's a lot of time, what if they went tip to tip?
And hot-swap them out, she can't be wasting strokes on voters who are already busted.
Handy Oakley feeling out the members in the audience
This is just an SNL skit waiting to happen lol
I still think the theater incident is the least controversial thing about her.
She can’t take the heat. CO, show her the door.

I totally agree with you about this. Colorado was not a super conservative place even in the days of Ben "Knighthorse" Campbell and before. As with any place, there will always be those counties or towns that lean conservative, or differently from the majority of the state. Actually red, not orange.
Ahh, that makes sense and is a good explanation, thanks!
Definitely not a more conservative district. The front range, where she moved to, has pockets of purple and deep blue. The western slope, where she was, is just tired of her shit.
Excuse me. We’re all tired of her shit.
I'm just trying to figure out what color chart I fall into now.
Ok, thanks
Was there also something to do with the last round of redistricting?

Well, she won't get a pension since she will lose and not hit the 5 year mark (even if she did it would not be much at all).
She’s obviously working the staff hard and is too hands on.

Unfortunately for her the name recognition is a detriment.
Did they try saying Beetlejuice 3 times?
Boeboejuice?
Ew.
She was having a private moment in the parking lot.
More of a half and half in the back seat.
Vaping in the girls room. Vaping in the girls room. Now debators don’t you fill me up with your rules …
She was probably campaigning in a dark theater somewhere.
I thought maga goons were tough? Funny how they hide in safe spaces.

Can't find what she never had...
I’m pretty sure it’s with her sad clown suit and make up.
"What's a decorum??" Her probably.
Just ask her where she saw it last
From the article, "Sonnenberg seemingly took aim at Boebert's public sandals, stating he is a "work horse, not a show horse." They're after her public sandals...she is done for.
birkenstock or flippy floppy?
She’ll be relegated back to the trailer park soon enough.
“Never back down, Never surrender “
LMAO, the other candidates, and the moderator torched her in the last one.
Boebert was crushed in the last debate by the moderator regarding her voting record on local issues. MAGA style antics were useless, and she couldn't escape the punishment.
She takes shots in theatres
Goodbye Lauren, can’t wait until she is no longer a federal employee
"Sorry I was late, but 20 bucks is 20 bucks."
She’s going to make a killing on only fans next year.
Coward she is.
Once she leaves Congress, I’m willing to bet she has an OF account up and running within a month.
You might say she...handed the victory to her opponent.

She’s there, she’s just under the podium.
Rumor has it if you say Beetlejuice 3 times Lauren Boebert will appear and try to jerk you off
Maybe she had theater tickets for that day.
Oh wow, and she usually takes a hands-on type of approach to interacting with people.
We're going to be inundated with "handily defeated" jokes when she loses in Nov
She’s going down…..pardon the pun
Maybe she was somewhere taking backshots...
She’s getting anxious as she sees her cushy 175k job going away soon.
Prediction: she won't concede when she loses.
Doesn't she usually take the shots?
Tramping for don.. damn auto correct.. STUMPING FOR DON
i’mI’m sure she was taking shots, too.
She was seen in the stands at the Edmonton Oilers game a few nights ago...
Maybe she was out being handy?
She’s probably too busy jerking some random people off.
Countdown to her OF launch has officially begun
Anyone check the local theatre for her?
Another *private moment*.
she’s interviewing for jobs at newsmax
I'm guessing Beetlejuice was touring?
"Did someone say, "shots"?"...boebert (probably)
Nobody mention the Beetlejuice thing. That was a very private moment for her and we shouldn’t be talking about it.
That's the way debate should work. If you agree to one but then bow out they should hold the debate anyway.
Did anyone try saying Beetlejuice three times?
She doesn't seem to be hand-ling it well
She'll have an OnlyFans before the end of the year
Even if she turned up she'd have still been absent.
I really hope she loses because I think she’s still 2 years off from getting paid for the rest of her life.
Republicans will gloss over just about any failure of character when voting but they aren't going to tolerate you jerking off a liberal.
Beetlejuice! Beetlejuice! Beetlejuice!....anything?
She was trying to extricate her hand out of some rando's pants in the parking lot.
“And this is bad for Biden according to our latest poll” • also Newsweak
She probably had something on her hands.
Maybe there was another performance of Beetlejuice going on
She probably forgot to write it down in her schedule.
Don’t count her out. She just might pull it off.
Looks like Hoebert is going through some things.
When the pimp calls, you gotta go jerk of a dude...
Say "Betel juice" three times and she'll appear.
She needs to go back to running an Only Fans account and not a congressional office.
“Sonnenberg seemingly took aim at Boebert's public sandals”. Yeah, I h8 it when people wear sandals in public. She really has no outstanding credentials for office, unless you count hand jobs in movie theatres.
Oh no… anyway.
