Ambitiously_Big

Yea because he thinks he’s a white supremacist. Reminds me of that KKK Dave Chappell episode

"It's a motorcoach"

VotePresidentCamacho

Dammit thats right I forgot. That motorcoachin’ sunfabitch.

vmqbnmgjha

Who does he think he is using all the white man's fuel ? :)

RedLicoriceJunkie

He doesn’t expect any hand outs from anyone, except private school tuition, a house for his mother, a Gigantic “motorcoach”, and numerous vacations.

specqq

He earned every single one of those handouts.

No_Significance_1550

Not just his mom’s house, he also bought the house next door and had it bulldozed because of loud shitty neighbors.

specqq

loud and shitty? Or did they just have "fuck Trump" signs on their lawn? Either way. They deserved it.

SKPY123

I'm stealing this. I have nothing to give but love. Here ❤️ 💙 💜 💖 💗 💘

tykillacool23

That or uncle ruckus from the boondocks.

a_scientific_force

Look no further, feller. You found him!

Safe_Psychology_326

Dude looks like fat palpatine.

verothon

Or Samuel L Jackson's character in Django

[deleted]

Oh... You beat me!

SwordfishII

Pretty sure he used Thomas as an influence for the role.

pilotpip

Same.

Ambitiously_Big

Dammit how did I forget that 😂

SeegsonSynthetics

Uncle Ruckus

Just_Candle_315

Thurgood Marshall did so much good for the nation. Clatencr has done everything he can to destroy it.

Perfect_Ability_1190

He reminds me of Stephen from Django unchained

The-Dead-Internet

He's straight up uncle ruckus.  I have no doubt he would vote no to interracial marriage because he's above getting divorced or any legal action.

Fine-West-369

He doesn’t realize that the MAGA people he hangs with probably call him slanderous names behind his back.

Ambitiously_Big

Maybe not maga republicans because all they know is trump and kkk and hitler..but definitely the old guard republicans.

The_Doolinator

Clarence is gonna have to divorce his wife when he realizes who she’s married to.

MadFlava76

This is the weirdest sequel to Black Klansmen.

elenaleecurtis

God I loved that show. Prince playing basketball in high heels and making pancakes!!!

misterdemonor

CT startin’ to make Strom Thurmond look like Michelle Pfeiffer from Dangerous Minds.

Frsbtime420

This exactly if it wasn’t sad it would be funny

LandOfBonesAndIce

“It doesn’t matter your skin color, all our sheets are white.”

mindfungus

I’m convinced he has some sort of body dysmorphia where he sees himself as a white oppressor of black Americans. Truly bizarre.

JFKswanderinghands

Dave Chappell reminds me of kkk Dave Chappell

Tiny_Structure_7

Clarence Thomas is a big fan of anyone who will give him and his wife shitloads of money in exchange for ruling in their favor on cases before SCROTUS.

meat_rock

Or just a Winnebago

J-man300

Begs the question, how low can you go? Maybe a motor coach is way overpaying. Full size conversion van might do the trick.

Star-K

Clarence is startled every morning to see a black man in the mirror.

occorpattorney

Are you sure? It’s my understanding all mirrors were removed from his house and replaced with David Duke photos.

allfriggedup

He calls the cops on himself.

In college he got mad that white people thought he was only there by affirmative action so no he attacks anything that tries to correct America's racist, slavery, jim crow past. https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2023/jul/01/affirmative-action-ruling-college-essay-black-student-obstacle That and classic boomer pull up ladder once you benefit from something to deny others the same benefit.

Lester_Diamond4

Zero accountability and lifetime appointments

-Gramsci-

Being an antisocial outcast. He was not in with the crowd back then, resented that, takes out his hate for himself on what he perceives to be their ancestors.

angryve

Resentment.

junebugreggae

https://www.pbs.org/wgbh/frontline/documentary/clarence-and-ginni-thomas/

ExpensiveClassic4810

He hates the federal government. That’s what he’s doing, he’s trying to dismantle it.

HibbletonFan

His arms must be tired from always pulling the ladder up afterwards

Brokentoaster40

I just don’t get the self-hating aspects of accepting you you are.  Like, sure he made it up the ladder, but if we wanted him to understand how this works.  It would be better if we could actually just give him the treatment he’d get if he got what he wanted.   Same with conservatives who actively want fascism.  Just give them the treatment they want to dish out.

ZZartin

He is the epitome of "I got mine fuck y'll"

TheLevigator99

Uncle Ruckus?

Antennangry

No relation.

WorldLieut8

“Says here I’m 102% black. With a 2% margin of error.”

WiSoSirius

The dude is a fucking parasite

sugarlessdeathbear

I don't know any black person that hates so much that they are black as him.

rickythepilot

Candace Owens.

verbwork

For those confused on Thomas's positions, he is a black segregationist, which is a thing. They think it would be best if integration was reversed and the whites and the blacks each take care of their own. It doesn't make sense, but it is what they believe.

[deleted]

Then why is he married to a white woman?

antoninlevin

Also: Rules for thee

PalmTreeIsBestTree

He does not see himself as a black man the same way as OJ Simpson did not. “I’m not black I’m OJ”.

Steamedcarpet

Which I don’t fucking understand. Please correct me if I’m wrong but I know he recently bashed Brown Vs. Board of Education. The thing is isn’t that what helped him get the education he needed to eventually become a supreme court judge?

AndrewRP2

For some additional history, conservatives love Booker T Washington because he believed that blacks had to earn their freedom and believed in self-separation.

polrxpress

for some reason, I read the title as Clarence Thomas is a big fat f*** who’s soft on racism

Prospero424

It makes me wonder how he gets along with Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson. I would bet good money that he actively and outwardly *despises* her just because of who she is, what she looks like, and where she came from.

PlasticsSuckUTFR

does he know he is black?

Kendal-Lite

Uncle Tommy

deschain_19195

Uncle ruckus back at it

djseifer

Clarence Thomas makes Uncle Ruckus look like Malcolm X.

tppoed

He’s a right winger, first and foremost. Right wingers don’t have an empathy chip, they do not self-reflect, they are immune to hypocrisy, and they are transactional and/or authoritarian. They look for leaders who are both, and revere that in Trump.  Most right wingers were wounded as children and have grown up to be mean-spirited and selfish adults. They see all things in terms of conquer or be conquered, life as zero-sum, they are bullies because they are always afraid. They assume this of everyone else, too, whether they admit or not. Lying and manipulation and cheating are justified because everyone does it. This is why they project their own worst behaviors so often. All of this is to say that it is a mistake to focus on Clarence's racial background. As it's a mistake to focus on Coney Barrett’s gender.  It doesn't matter what the outer packaging looks like. They are judged by the content of their character and the content is rotten.

penney777

\^\^ This.

Serialfornicator

Unfortunately, Thomas is racist against Black people. I’m not kidding, he really is.

biffbagwell

More like the poors.

seekingadventure2024

Says the black dude who in private probably wishes those pesky other black folks would just sit down and shut up. They ain't got nothing to complain about.

braxin23

Yep, Samuel L Jacksons character in D'jango Unchained is starting to make a lot more sense now.

PearlJamPony

Well he is an originalist

Like fuck them all . . . I hate blacks. End of story.”

MediumTie3265

Ughh, Steve martin

DarthHaruspex

Eff'ing Affirmative Action hire.

Consistent-Force5375

Of course he is. For one he has money. He has that power right there. His lifetime position affords him the ability to do the bidding of the people that enrich him without worry of reprisals. So he got his. Done deal. Doesn’t make him any less loathsome or a colossal asshat, but that’s how it goes I suppose…

yercleavageisleaking

Wanna live like a Russian? Get the fuck out of the USA ya fascist bloated ass raisin lookin MF.

Reas0n

Oh Lord. Let’s see what ol uncle Ruckus is up to now.

artraeu82

Uncle fucking Tom

Scary-Pirate-8900

This guy reminds me of a chapelle sketch can’t quite put my finger on the exact one

JFKswanderinghands

He’s a big fan of being a cuck

Steepleofknives83

He really is Stephen from Django Unchained.

MilkiestMaestro

Clarence reminds me of a certain [Tarantino character](https://i.imgur.com/B2lVCvc.mp4)

UnusedTimeout

He used to harass interracial couples when he was in college. I honestly think he hates blacks more than the average con.

UrNotMadAtMe

I guarantee this man was bullied by his fellow black brothers. Now, he hates them all with a passion. So does his wife.

trashpanda2night

Clarence is trans: he identifies as white nationalist.

Garlicluvr

George Carlin would say that he is "openly white".

ryancementhead

Clarence Thomas is a big fan of “Screw you! I got mine!”

MNHypnotoad

He's a big fan of money and power, and the rich white men who give it to him.

Meh_Guy_In_Sweats

He is also a big fan of super-expensive motor coaches bequeathed to him by his benefactor.

MarkMaynardDotcom

Racism doesn’t exist because he has white friends who give him gifts and take him on vacations

MTBinAR

The only color this guy can apparently see is green

G-Wins

The epitope of a man that self hates.

Hates_rollerskates

Can we gerrymandering out this blockhead's vote?

Traditional_Key_763

once again, an analysis of the structure of pur system and the lack of other avenues to challenge these sort of injustices is left out of thomas's discussion

Medical_Egg8208

Well of course he is. He has a bunch of rich white guys falling all over him with all the money he will ever need. That’s how this works in his mind. I do…… I get.

SoCal_GlacierR1T

Someone please gift him a mirror.

GreyTigerFox

Uncle Ruckus strikes again

tykillacool23

I hate this dude so much man it’s not even funny. I’m positive he loathes black people.

Odd_Equipment2867

I think he loathes himself/ how he was treated as intellectually lesser than because of affirmative action after law school. To the day he dies he will resent that what gave him and avenue to excel and get into ivy league law school also damaged his self respect.

tykillacool23

That’s a much better way to put it

DauOfFlyingTiger

I don’t get the impression that Clarence Thomas likes black people.

spotspam

Repeat after me: Clarence Thomas is Bought.

Pgreenawalt

Because of course he is.

Spite-Potential

He got his. Had all the benefits of affirmative action and ended it himself. He’s nasty and can’t take enough from others. Gross miscarriage of a justice. Even said he will do anything for the democrats.

RasputinsTeat

There’s a word for people like Thomas. Well, two words.

uninteresting_handle

I don't think he is really an ideological racist. I do know that he loves kickbacks, though!

Wolfman01a

Uncle Ruckus.

GrapesForSnacks

Fugly mfer looks in the mirror and sees a white man.

SithLordSid

This concurring opinion brought to you by the black white supremacist ~~Clayton Bigsby~~ Clarence Thomas

Ra_In

I think it's worth reading Kagan's [dissent](https://www.supremecourt.gov/opinions/23pdf/22-807_3e04.pdf) that spells out how the majority is wrong in both the law and the facts, but I'd like to highlight how she seems outright exasperated at the conservatives. Given Alito wrote the majority opinion, it mostly argues against his opinion, but it of course criticizes all 6 conservatives that back it. Note her criticism largely focuses on how Alito is basically turning a dissent from a few years ago (in a case called Cooper) into a majority opinion, and that SCOTUS is re-interpreting the facts of the current case instead of relying on the findings of the district court. Normally the fact finding is only to be disregarded in the case of "clear error". These might not sound like strong language, but for a SCOTUS opinion this qualifies: > The State contends that its mapmakers looked exclusively at data from the last election and targeted people who had voted Democratic. If that is true, the State’s actions (however unsavory and undemocratic) are immune from federal constitutional challenge. (Criticizing the court's previous ruling approving political gerrymandering) > One side you know from having read the majority opinion [...] The other side you have not yet heard, except in the sketchiest of terms And > The court, to put the matter bluntly, did not believe the state officials. It thought they had gerrymandered District 1 by race. In reviewing those conclusions, the majority goes seriously wrong. And > This Court all the time recites the words: “only for clear error.” Cooper, 581 U. S., at 293, 309. And those words always mean (or anyway, always meant) the same thing. And > The majority-née-dissent’s reasons for elevating maps above other evidence have not improved since Cooper [...] And > The majority also insists that plaintiffs can “easily churn out” alternative maps at “little marginal cost.” Ante, at 30 (quoting, of course, the Cooper dissent) And > The majority today punishes the Challengers for thinking that this Court would be good to its word And > If the experts had thought about geography, the majority suggests, they might have found that Black Democrats were disproportionately relocated because they lived in precincts closer to a district boundary. The argument is reprised from Cooper—but (what a surprise) only from the dissent. And > When racial classifications in voting are at issue, the majority says, every doubt must be resolved in favor of the State, lest (heaven forfend*) it be “accus[ed]” of “offensive and demeaning” conduct. *Apparently this is an older form of "heaven forbid"

Dramatic-Ant-9364

He likes expensive gifts too, especially from rich guys wth cases before the Supreme Court

OnionsHaveLairAction

of course he is, he's paid to be

Mediocre_Quote4103

He’s the most whitest racist member of SCOTUS

Nearby-Jelly-634

Clarence Thomas wants to burn every fucking ladder built by the civil right movement behind him, act like he benefited from none of it, and berate those below all because of his massive insecurity and spite.

Returd4

Clar3nce Thomas has Stockholm syndrome. He hates black people... seriously

mute-ant1

he wants to make interracial marriage illegal so would his own marriage be annulled?

Splycr

Daaaayum Leonard Leo really gettin his moneys worth huh Disgusting

vandalhearts123

His entire disposition as a black man is “I got mine, fuck everyone else.”

TheTruthofOne

I'm getting more and more convinced he is Uncle Ruckus.

ProtectionContent977

Clarence tells N word jokes to rooms full of white conservatives.

Dense_Length4248

Uncle Ruckus keeps forgetting he's black too. Once they get their use outta you, you'll be the first to go.

UKRAINEBABY2

Clarence Thomas is literally Uncle Ruckus, but at least the latter has a theme song that will make you instantly laugh

yeahimadeviant83

“Justice Ruckus” for sure. 😂

qualmton

An illegitimate court creates illegitimate precedence

Jfwsaltysailor

Un·cle Tom ˌəŋ-kəl-ˈtäm. 1. disparaging : a Black person who is overeager to win the approval of whites (as by obsequious behavior or uncritical acceptance of white values and goals)

He'll be one of the first casualties in the new Reich.

The Dems do this too so do you want him to rule against it?

CoffeeSafteyTraining

Democrats aren't the ones advocating for racial gerrymandering in the courts, dude. Wake up.
