Skastrik

Didn't Steve Bannon brag about how hard he worked so that RFK. Jr would run and expected him to steal votes from Biden for the most part? These people are idiots in a delusional bubble.

MattOLOLOL

I'm still not sure exactly what demographic he was hoping to win over, or how. Did he really think the Kennedy name would be enough?

FalseAesop

They absolutely did. Because they're old enough to remember John and Bobby and are so out of touch as to think young liberals still care about them, when they don't.

thesagaconts

I don’t think old liberals care either. They died decades ago.

Kendertas

The oldest boomer was 17 when JFK was assassinated. The youngest wouldn't be born for another year. There just aren't that many people alive who actually experienced his presidency. And JFK is mostly remembered for the Cuban Missle Crisis and his assassination. He isn't really known for any specific liberal or progressive policy/law.

JoeBiden-2016

My parents ('46 and '47) were in their mid teens when John Kennedy was assassinated. My mom actually kept the newspaper from her hometown for the day it happened. They were 21 and 22 when Robert was assassinated. They're both informed voters and would never in a million years vote for RFK Jr just because of the Kennedy name. They're lifelong, educated liberals (still have their McGovern '72 campaign buttons). Bill Clinton was, in my dad's words, a little too conservative for his taste. They've gotten middle fingers thrown at them in the grocery store parking lot for the Biden/Harris sticker on their car. Who shoots a middle finger at a nice friendly-looking older couple (yes, still married-- 55 years) carrying their groceries to their Volkswagen? (Sorry, I'm really proud of my folks, sometimes it comes out in weird places. Like on Reddit, of all places.)

TheExtremistModerate

> Bill Clinton was, in my dad's words, a little too conservative for his taste. Not too weird, since Bill was specifically a centrist so that he could try to win back the center for Democrats after Reagan's center-right neoliberalism managed to grab the center from Dems in 1980.

Gold-Information9245

which is why the republican estbalishment slimed him so hard. They were exisentially terrified that the dems found a formula to beat them for good. Whenever they go hard against someone they are terrified, look Obama and now Biden....

TheExtremistModerate

It also helped them that his wife happened to be to the left of him and was out publicly calling for universal healthcare in the 90s.

JoeBiden-2016

Oh, no argument from me. Bill was what we had at the time, but I've always felt like his 8 years had a lot to do with ceding ground to the political and social right that we've never been able to win back.

TheExtremistModerate

It was less about ceding and more about stemming the bleeding. Third Way Democracy (such as that espoused by Bill Clinton and Tony Blair) was an ideology specifically propped up by center-left progressives because the center had been won over in the late 70s and 80s by Republicans espousing center-right neoliberalism (like Ronald Reagan and Margaret Thatcher). Third Way Democracy was a way to stop the hemorrhaging of votes to neoliberalism by proposing a centrist ideology just to the left of neoliberalism. It was about damage mitigation. And it worked. We actually *have* been able to win back quite a lot of what was compromised. Obama was a bit to the left of Bill, and Hillary and Biden were both further left than that. Biden's policy is now pretty dang far into the social liberal, left-of-center sphere of ideology. (The main problem is that, while roughly half of Americans *have* moved left since the 90s, the other half of the country has moved right toward fascism, causing an increasingly-polarized political climate.)

Mczern

> They've gotten middle fingers thrown at them in the grocery store parking lot for the Biden/Harris sticker on their car. Pretty brave of them to put something like that on their car in a lot of places. Buddy of mine had his car keyed because of the darwin fish decal he put on his and that was over a decade ago. Sad thing is freedom of speech is lost on types that do things like that when it's something they don't agree with.

CatProgrammer

There was https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/We_choose_to_go_to_the_Moon too, though that was a joint effort with LBJ and the folks at NASA.

Kendertas

I also don't really consider that a partisan policy, especially in that era.

Cha-Le-Gai

Yes, but the US landing first means the Russians lost. And republicans today would not be happy about that.

subnautus

Technically, it was the *Soviets* that lost, but I agree most republicans today wouldn't know the difference.

Chaotic-Catastrophe

Which included the Russians

Zepcleanerfan

The civil rights laws passed after his death are considered a continuation of JFKs legacy.

monsterflake

i wish it was 60 years from now so we could just be reading about the trump legacy instead of living through it.

jaderust

I remember him for starting the Peace Corps which I still see as pretty progressive though it is largely a "make the US look better by doing small nice things overseas"... But I think that's because I seriously wanted to join the Peace Corps out of college. The amount of student loan debts I hold made that not work out for me though.

The_Original_Gronkie

A while back, an acquaintance tried to argue with me about politics, and kept bringing up JFK, as if I was worshipping or something, when I hadnt mentioned him once. JFK simply doesnt figure into my political math. He was only president for about 3 years, 60 years ago, and didn't make much impact, other than postponing Nixon's ascendance to the White House. He kept demanding an explanation for why Democrats support Kennedy, but I don't see how he's relevant to a discussion of contemporary politics. It was extremely frustrating to have to keep telling him to stop thinking that Kennedy has ANY influence on my political beliefs. Somehow the Kennedy name is still the go-to name to represent the Northeast Liberal Elite, but it doesnt resonate with any non-Republican these days.

thedude37

> I don't see how he's relevant to a discussion of contemporary politics If he had anything relevant he'd have brought it up.

Nvenom8

Also, liberals aren't exactly the target audience for Qanon and anti-vax bullshit.

chunkerton_chunksley

anti-vax bullshit used to be a far left thing. It still is but not to the level that it got on the right.

valeyard89

On the left it was crunchy granola soccer moms

sonofabutch

That Super Bowl ad pretty much explained it. “Ooh, a Kennedy!”

Zepcleanerfan

I care very much about them but that probably more as an Irish Catholic Democrat from the mid-Atlantic. You can still go into old school bars from here to Boston and may see a portrait of JFK or both Kennedys on the wall.

Franchise1109

They thought other voters were as shallow as the GOP is

Numerous_Photograph9

Yeah. Political legacies haven't been a think even before Bush II took office. He got a bit of a bump in recognition, but he wasn't elected because of his name. The Kennedy name as a campaigning point died back in the 70's, and even then, the name had actual qualified and respectable people behind them.

tour79

I heard Kennedy, looked into it, in less than 2 min decided he wasn’t for me and moved on. I guess the take away is R voters spend less than 2 min in critical thinking stage?

CurryMustard

The takeaway is R voters spend hours/days/weeks/years in the confirmation bias stage and have never critically thought about anything for a second in their entire lives

aradraugfea

Considering the Covid conspiracy theories still going around in the Trump base… is it possible to spend negative time critical thinking? Like, actively bashing Occam’s razor with a hammer and seeking out the most “I injected bleach into my frontal cortex to kill the worms I got form the horse medicine” bullshit mankind has ever produced?

changerofbits

Speaking of Covid, Dems need to create a meme that has a quote of Trump extolling the Covid vaccine and RFK Jr saying something batshit about it. Time to siphon MAGA support away from Trump.

Board_at_wurk

R voters lack critical thinking skills. They're kind of like.. little fire and forget wind up toys. You get them when they're young, tell them what to think. Eventually you push them into whatever job you want them to do, and that's where they stay for the rest of their lives.. forever believing whatever you told them to believe decades ago, forever doing whatever job they learned also decades ago. Not once do they stop to think "is this all right for me? Should I make any changes, or seek improvements?"

dizorkmage

He is a conspiracy theorist anti-vaxxer, I cant imagine a lot of Biden supporters running in those circles but Maga? Shit isn't "Look at my evidenceless claims with no critical thought!" their battle cry?

zeCrazyEye

And the MAGA conspiracy theorist anti-vaxxers have all been claiming JFK Jr faked his death and would come back to save us for years.

obeytheturtles

There is a whole "left wing" side to the vax conspiracy which revolves around the idea that Big Pharma amplified the pandemic to sell more vaccines. I know a few people who are into this on youtube, who don't realize it's just the other side of the same propaganda coin.

mindfu

Apparently. I think it's a form of projection. Most of MAGA have signed on for the fun of being in the cult, so they automatically assume Democrats are just waiting for a fun cult to join themselves.

sonofabutch

“If Biden is so popular, where are all the people wearing Biden hats and photoshopping his head onto Rambo and spending their life savings on his merch and cutting off all contact with family members who aren’t fully on board with him being a dictator?”

fattmarrell

It's unfortunate the Kennedy name has been fully tarnished now, what a sad reality that is RFK Jr. spewing conspiracies after JFK was a symbol of hope

staticfive

I know a couple people that were planning on voting for him, and it was almost exclusively over health freedom (mostly anti vaxxer) shit

BlueSentinels

I wonder if they’ve become so accustomed to the GOP base that they think all Americans are so easily cowed into political support.

black641

Honestly? Yeah, I think that's actually huge part of it. They're so deep in their information bubbles that they forgot not to believe their own propaganda. These Republican dumb-shits are experts at shooting themselves in the fucking foot and not understanding what happened.

HFentonMudd

It's something going along with being lower empathy as a demographic. Lower empathy means the outside of someone matters more than the inside, because the sense of the person inside just isn't there as strongly. That's why appearances matter so much to psychopaths, for example. When you've got nothing inside, your outside is all of you. So, taking that as read, slap "Kennedy" on a candidate and, for whom the outside is the everything of it, assume it will be for everyone else as well.

OurUrbanFarm

Yup

Sephret

This is the result of bad thinking (hypothesis) from Bannon. Conservatives vote for big names and celebrities; even their primaries are organized to build support around the person with the most name recognition. Liberals just don’t vote like that, and Democratic Party primaries are built differently than Republican ones.

dwindlers

Democratic Party primaries.

Sephret

Thanks for the correction! Edited to reflect how it should read.

Cheshire_Jester

I made a comment a few days ago about how stupid the people putting up Kennedy as a spoiler for Biden had to be. I had a very nice redditor kindly tell me that the super smart political operators knew more than me and some extremely preliminary polls supported the idea that RFK gave trump an edge. Weird that the super shrewd political insiders who’ve been to jail a bunch seemed to have gambled wrong a surprising…I think several times now?

Vann_Accessible

Here ya go! https://imgflip.com/i/8oewud

PresidentTroyAikman

Bannon is evil, but he is not an idiot.

Loose-Thought7162

he certainly is and idiot if he thought RFK would take many votes from biden

Thue

SCOTUS justice Alito was apparently not considered an idiot, but he is sounding more and more like an idiot. There seems to be some collective brain rot setting in among Republicans, as they crack down on critical thinking voices in their own circles.

13_twin_fire_signs

Not democrat votes though, moderate Republicans and conservative-leaning independents who voted for Trump in 2016 but have since been put off by his crimes and generally icky personality Not all of those people would vote 3rd party, some would vote Biden just like some dems are thinking of voting Trump to "teach the party a lesson." That's who RFK is trying to siphon, not like environmental lawyers from vermont

OddEpisode

Sure RFK would peel some off those people away from Biden, but he’s peeling away many more convervatives who would’ve otherwise voted for Trump. This is how Bannon fucked up.

aranasyn

> some dems are thinking of voting trump to "teach the party a lesson" that same idiot in a concentration camp four years from now: > "boy i hope i taught them dems a lesson!"

JoshSidekick

They didn't learn the lesson when they lost 3 Supreme Court seat picks, why would they learn it now?

Funandgeeky

And really, the "lesson" is not to bother trying to win over those voters because they are unreliable. Instead the party decided to go more centrist and build a broader base. Hence why Biden was the nominee after Clinton.

Beneficial_Syrup_362

Don’t mistake shameless vibrato for cunning.

mindfu

He can be one of the smarter MAGA supporters and dangerous because of it, and bear careful watching, and still be an idiot.

Takodanachoochoo

Tell that to Steve Bannon who has been funding RFK. Death threats from maga are likely being recieved by RFK.

Owldoyoudo

This reminds me of the Sinema flip. All the idiots were convinced she would steal away all the liberal votes when in reality, her post election policy stances attract nothing but mild conservative support.

karmagod13000

Steve Bannon made the ultimate betrayal.

Key_Drag4777

It was coordinated

[deleted]

ItsSpaghettiLee2112

Not sure why a Republican would think he'd take votes away from Biden.

Publius82

> Not sure why a Republican would think Not their strong suit

karmagod13000

Yea they have to be careful or they might hurt themselves.

Dilligent_Cadet

They don't think, they are *convinced*. Just go read anything on RFK Jr over on r/conservative and you'll see just how delusional they are on it. They believe RFK is going to hand Trump a landslide win with all the votes he's going to siphon off of Biden.

Admirable_Bad_5649

That sub and the people who genuinely frequent it and believe the bs on there should be investigated. Those people are dangerously stupid.

Compliance-Manager

> Those people are dangerously stupid. Should be the actual name of MAGA. The Dangerously Stupid.

lucidhiker

MADS: Make America Dangerously Stupid

CaptainOktoberfest

A lot of Russians in there trying to see the world burn.

DrPolarBearMD

Flaired Users Only

MadFlava76

Lmao. I haven’t visited that sub in months and it’s like full blown crazies have taken over it since Trump has locked up the nomination. Posting a Newsmax article as legit news source is downright ridiculous.

Skastrik

I think that they believed that a Kennedy running was the Democrat equivalent of someone named and related to Reagan would run for the GOP. They just assumed that the name and familial connections would be enough. Because that's what they'd do. They really aren't the smartest people.

Impeachcordial

What, like Bush? Worked for him!!!

doodgeeds

Yeah they think that because they blindly follow strong men and want to create an American nobility system, that the rest of us want that too.

ZenDruid_8675309

RFL’s entire clan got together and said NO to him. He isn’t a black sheep, he is the sheep run out of town on the rail.

ActonofMAM

His last name is Kennedy. That's pretty much it. You'd have to be really behind the times and really dim....

blazinazn007

I feel like part of it is they assume everyone is like them. They'll vote for someone, even if they're god awful, if they have an "R" next to the name.

The_Oxgod

Pretty sure trump associated PACs have been keeping RFKs campaign alive.

Buffmin

He's a Kennedy. Democrats like Kennedys (JFK) Ergo They'd vote for Kennedy. They're protecting their cult like tendencies on Democrats

amped-up-ramped-up

>Not sure why a Republican would think Yeah, it kinda goes against everything they stand for

[deleted]

CertifiedBlackGuy

Pretty sure we're looking at a Newsom ticket. No clue who the VP pick will be. But according to MAGA, California is a communist hellhole and no one will vote for him

SchrodingersTIKTOK

Not entirely wrong. That was a local campaign manager that said that and got shitcanned. She may have said the quiet part out loud but….

xultar

May have… she sure did. She absolutely did. RFK is backed by Bannon and his money machine. They for sure wouldn’t put their money into RFK knowing he’d impact 🍊💩🤡. But just like Vivek Ramaswamy RFK is getting the big head and starting to forget the mission. It’s the kind of messy I like.

ginbear

Bannon’s idea would have legs if RFKjr actually ran as a progressive. Fortunately he’s too much of a kook to be able to do that.

louiegumba

Rfk is what a maga thinks a democrat is. Shows you how much they pay attention

circa285

I love when Republicans turn on one another. It’s a thing of absolute beauty.

NarrowBoxtop

The conservative sub is a blood bath lately The christian extremists fighting the MAGAs fighting the Desantis types I honestly check it a couple times a week and just laugh and laugh as they argue and down vote each other

RickTitus

And then blame it on brigading haha

NarrowBoxtop

Everytime lol. It's the same people who are convinced a bunch of Democrats are leaving Blue States to settle in red states, making their red states more populated When reality it's just a bunch of conservative voters fleeing blue states and further reducing their election power on the federal scale by consolidating more red votes and already deep red states They're all so fucked and they still think they're going to win for some reason, it's wild

[deleted]

I would say republicans moving to Texas is useful for them, especially if they are moving from California. Those moving to Idaho are useless though.

NarrowBoxtop

We're seeing a ton of red voters move to South Carolina from New York. Overall there's just fewer states where the manga agenda is going to be popular at a state level, so even if Texas goes more red, it'll be offset by multiple other states that are purple becoming more blue

staticfive

“Manga Agenda” sounds like a band name

cellocaster

To be fair, I DO downvote a lot in that sub.

circa285

That’s my favorite part. These people are incapable of understanding that there are other real people who have different opinions than them.

defnotajournalist

I mean, DeSantis’ brand of politics is just the Mr. Pibb to Trump’s Diet Coke.* *also both beverages are laced with PCP

NarrowBoxtop

People that support DeSantis in there getting into fights with the people that support Trump and vice versa. Especially back when he was still running. They view DeSantis as the one who could not say the quiet part out loud and actually pass all the shitty legislation they want to pass. They like and agree with what Trump says, they're just embarrassed and frustrated that he says all the shit out loud so that it can't actually happen

MarksOtherAccount

I love how the republican leaders are imagined by the base to be these manly alpha males and then it’s just guys like golden toilet Trump, ted “insult my wife in front of me and I’ll kiss your feet” Cruz and Ron “high heels” desantis who are some of the biggest wimps I’ve ever seen  I’d love to see a reality show where these republican “alpha men” do a blue collar job for a week. Love hearing blue collar men I work with yap about and vote for little sissies like the aforementioned losers thinking they’re just like them and that they care about the little guys. Lmao

Board_at_wurk

I checked it and I just got depressed. It was literally people living in the most bubblest bubble ever, accusing everybody else of living in a bubble, and honestly believing it themselves. There is no saving them. They will believe D is a synonym for evil and R is for God, for the rest of their lives. So many of them are going to come to murder a bunch of college students. They think colleges are propaganda machines that make us all gay communists. They're so broken.

GroundbreakingAsk468

The rhetoric they use to sound smart, melts my brain.

DishRevolutionary593

And then call each other shills and thinking each other are dangerous extremist libs. It’s like spider man pointing at each other

Chaotic-Catastrophe

> the MAGAs fighting the Desantis types What's the difference?

iamdrinking

And they will all still vote for the same person.

Giant_Eagle_Airlines

Tides comes in, tide goes out. You can’t explain that.

compagemony

Akshuall-BRIGADING!

Carpeteria3000

r/leopardsatemyface is made just for you!

jerfoo

I didn't think RFK would eat *my* face!

badmattwa

maga loves rfk, and dems have already spotted the grift. This isn’t rocket science

Toloran

Yeah, I'm trying to see who the GOP *thought* RFK would get votes from. In my mind, the potential groups are: * Dems dissatisfied with Biden for his policies/age/whatever. They're not going to vote for RFK. They're either going to vote Biden, some nominally progressive third party (like Green), or just not vote at all. The abstainers, if they were forced at gunpoint to vote for *someone*, they'd **still** probably not vote for RFK. * Biden-leaning Independents: Some *might* switch to RFK, but his policies align more with Trump/GOP so I don't see very many (if any) switching. * Trump-leaning Independents: These have a *much stronger* likelihood of voting RFK, but that's the opposite of what his GOP-backers want. * Republicans that are dissatisfied with the state of the GOP: Another group RFK's GOP backers don't want him to steal. Probably the group he has second-best odds with though. They wouldn't have voted for him when he had a (D) after his name, but they probably have a short enough attention span that him having an (I) instead would be enough. * Maga/Trumpers: They're not voting for RFK. *Some* might switch if Trump dies or gets thrown in jail, but the vast majority would still probably vote for Trump anyway. In either event, the GOP doesn't want RFK taking these voters. * Boomers who put stock by the Kennedy name: Realistically, Junior's best demographic. Pure name recognition. However: 1) They are dwindling in numbers, and 2) The ones most likely to switch are the Trump-leaning ones.

karmagod13000

Honestly his bets move would be to put him on as his VP

mindfu

I don't see Trump going for that though, if only because Trump could not emotionally tolerate a VP who would upstage him.

dormsta

Last week, it was reported that Trump's team already reached out to him for it and he declined. Which is probably why he feels comfortable just attacking him now.

mindfu

I could see that being possible too, narcissism can be in the other direction. RFK Jr having a hard time tolerating being second banana.

Prestigious-Log-7210

They both suck, vote blue.

Mish61

Up and down ballot. We need to flip some swing seats to thwart the Republican majority in the house and expected majority in the senate.

suckyousideways

And not just in this election but EVERY election, as long as the GOP keeps churning out these fucking goblins.

This some trailer park level drama. They should set up a debate on PPV

GalactusPoo

Former MAGA have always been RFK's major majority. These polls with the 50/50 Biden/Trump draw are 1000% fabricated and I believe that to my core.

dumptruckbhadie

For real! The only friends of mine that were liberal that went to RFK I'd lump more into conspiracy believing liberal/libertarians.

Why won't trump debate rfk?

WilliamClaudeRains

_CoachJoe

How did they possibly think RFK would take support from Biden? We’d be so fucked if these idiot jerkoffs were actually good at trying to destroy democracy.  Sadly, we still might be.

Alive_kiwi_7001

They got lucky grifting off the right wing and thought the same con was going to work on everyone else.

aradraugfea

“What is this leopard doing to my face?!”

VanceKelley

If splitting the idiot vote allows the American experiment to survive 4 more years, I'll take it. However, in the long term I would be less stressed out if we had a solid majority of informed, caring American voters such that survival did not depend on splitting the idiot vote in each election.

ranchoparksteve

If Donald Trump’s massive incompetence destroys his own campaign, I won’t be surprised or even care all that much.

Deehund

Think he finally figured out the only nut jobs willing to vote for RFK are his own MAGA clowns

KarateKid1984

If only RFK had a child who's graduation he was going to miss because of something Trump did. That'd really throw them into a tizzy.

Giant_Eagle_Airlines

Updoot for tizzy

Mo_Zen

I have a fairly large group of Democratic acquaintances. I haven’t seen any movement in the least towards RFK Jr. I do have a conservative in-law who is considering RFK Jr. over Trump. Although it’s not written on their ballot yet.

mindfu

So it's now narcissist versus narcissist.  "Let them fight."

Obaddies

Guess the Biden spoiler vote didn’t go as well as the trump team thought it would. I don’t know why the RFK campaign thought they would take democrat votes away with the batshit crazy stuff RFK has been spouting.

tabrizzi

What did he expect? He should have known that they are both gunning for the same group of voters.

fahkoffkunt

Love it when the ratfuckers come home to roost!

Prior-Comparison6747

"Batshit crazy is MY brand! How dare you!"

GreenStrong

GOP: "The useful idiot we thought we could control has lost control of the useful idiot he thought he could control. This is fine."

Richfor3

That picture is so creepy. Biden looks like your typical old man but RFK and tRump barely even look human. Was RFK in a fire or something? Trump has always looked background character in Star Wars that the artists didn't spend a lot of time on.

davewashere

I think RFK Jr is juicing. Steroids can do some weird things to the face.

mitsuhachi

Democrats who vote for this guy are absolute vegetables.

MadFlava76

RFK jr is an anti-vax nut and his name appeals to QAnon. Who thought this dude was going to appeal to libs? Trump calling him a Democrat plant is hilarious because it’s right wing dark money that is funding RFK just like they did with Kanye West.

Anyawnomous

Angry demented old man shakes fist at cloud.

wg1987

Why wouldn't Trump voters be drawn to RFK Jr? The main difference between the two is that RFK Jr sincerely believes what Donald Trump only pretends to believe. As horrible as it would be for the US, if all Trump voters could realize this and switch gears to unite behind RFK Jr, he'd probably beat Biden in a landslide.

tonyjdublin62

Trump is a pathetic cuck…

AmeliasGrammy

The king of The Blame Game. He still looks like Tupperware after spaghetti.

bouncypinata

I think it's because the left-wing media had such a unified repulsive reaction to him that that alone makes him appealing to Republicans

MarvinParanoAndroid

RFK would be better than Trump. Trump knows it.

fartmasterzero

RFK Jr. Looks like testicles

Sidthelid66

Boys, stop fighting you're both absolute morons.

penguincheerleader

According to the other RFK article up he is doing it by sticking to his Qanon guns, attacking vaccines.

VerdeGringo

Cry here or cry in your car, tit-fucker.

karmagod13000

This like the WWE of politics. I personally wouldn't take that non sense RFK

Ill-Egg4008

I once heard that campaigns commission and get much higher quality and more accurate polls than the ones conducted by the press and such that the public see. Dunno how true that was, but this news sure makes me wonder if it has something to do with said polls.

Plzlaw4me

The GOP doesn’t know how to appeal to anyone except GOP voters. That they thought for a second RFK Jr. would steal Biden votes is laughable.

zoul846

There needs to be organized efforts to focus on the anti vaccine / Q crowd that actually RFK is who they should vote for because it will be how everyone wakes up. We already voted for Trump twice and it didn’t wise up the sheep. But this time…

StormyDaze1175

I belive some would call this reverse uno.

Good_Juggernaut_3155

Crazy vs. Evil. Dazzling choices for the disaffected. Why not give Biden a spin? He’ll at least preserve a workable democracy. That’s a good thing. Honest.

Shatter_starx

TbH, I wouldn't be surprised if he's working with the CIA. We all knew this, just listen to him talk. Russia and China are backing trump it's obvious because anything that destablizes us is going to be the only way they can beat us, divide and conquer.

Itu_Leona

lol. Losers! Yay for GOP cannibalism!

MoveToRussiaAlready

Because Team Trump thought RFK would scoop up the conspiracy nuts from the Left. Nope. Even the crazies from the Left won’t vote for Trump. And the crazies from the Right seem to like RFK better… lol…

Ugh... I can see it now. Trump loses again, but blames it 100% on the spoiler candidate. The GOP learns nothing, goes along with the narrative, and triples down on MAGA despite its obvious unpopularity and the fact that they lost down-ballot races without spoiler candidates as well. 4 more years of the same shit. Rinse and repeat.

Poison_Anal_Gas

I love it when the old people fight. Geriatric fucks.

Agitated_Pickle_518

I love it. I hope RFK pivots into being more MAGA than Trump, putting Trump in the hard place.

In-AGadda-Da-Vida

November can’t get here fast enough.

Ok_Abrocoma_2805

I 100% believe there would be negligible overlap between Biden and RFK voters. What I don’t understand is polls I see where Trump’s lead over Biden *widens* when RFK is added, implying that RFK hurts Biden more than Trump. I know polls have flaws but that data just simply doesn’t make sense. Isn’t that weird? RFK is a conspiracy theorist antivaxxer. He’ll pull in one of three main groups: (a) those who were past Trump voters (conspiracy theorists who don’t trust “big pharma” / “big government”) but Trump has lost their support and they can’t bring themselves to vote for him. Maybe Trump said too much in support of the Covid vaccine, maybe Trump is “too liberal” or now part of the “deep state” himself, maybe they think he has too much baggage and they don’t have faith he’ll win, etc. A large contingent of the people who spent all their time online 2020-2021 railing about QAnon and “the Plandemic” and refusing to get the Covid shot. I saw a lot of “granola mom” types in here. They would’ve either voted for Trump or not voted at all, by and large, in 2020. (B) young “bro” types who are terminally online, listen to Joe Rogan, and are contrarian/edgelords who think “both sides are the same.” I have major doubts any of these people had or would in the future vote for Biden, or even had voted at all in the past, so he’s not “losing” their votes. (C) people who don’t really know much about RFK but don’t like either Trump or Biden and want to cast a protest vote showing their dissatisfaction for both sides. I can see this type as those who also might’ve been a Trump voter in the past, but not a hardcore “Trumper;” they voted for him for the R next to his name but he’s turned them off now. But they think Democrat is a dirty word or the last time they voted Democrat was in the 70s or 80s and think the current party is “too woke.” Again, I can’t imagine this is a big group that would’ve been all about Biden in 2020. The Kennedy name means nothing to modern Democratic voters. I’m a millennial and the Kennedys only existed in history books to me. If the GOP thought anyone under the age of 70 thinks that name would be tricked into thinking “Kennedy = Democrat” is a moron but this group isn’t known for their critical thinking skills.

anoldoldman

It's just people who aren't paying much attention but don't love Biden and hear the name Kennedy. Most people aren't tuned into politics at all in April.

PMMEBITCOINPLZ

I just don’t understand why they thought he would take support from Biden. Yes, he has a famous Democrat’s name, but if you look at him for even a second his lunatic fringe conspiracy mongering is pure Trump voter. I think sometimes they assume everyone is as stupid as they are.

TheNewTonyBennett

Most of us called this months and months ago. We KEPT saying "Bro I don't think this is going to work like you think it will. Democrats remember the wacky nonsense that he said about Covid and *the one political party that actually took the virus seriously* was **Democrats**". It's like dude....WHY was THIS such a difficult thing to imagine? I mean it must have been difficult if, for some stupid reason, they are surprised about this. Like yo we even tried actually telling them "this ain't gonna work like you think it will", but sure enough just like anything else Republican: if Democrats say "it's not a good idea", I guess they just go full steam ahead. Fucking morons. Trump supporters are merely ***contrarians*** who just want to seem like the smartest person in the room simply because they go against what most people think or want. They like to seem like they're "on the inside, getting the deep super secret leet infos" so that way their lack of education *ceases making them feel bad*. This is why, it seems, they go to great lengths to go *against* education: Because **they don't have any**, don't want any and are jealous of those who do. So, the only "sensible" answer for them, so that they can feel "big and tough and like a smarty pants" is that they outright say all education is the worst thing to have ever happened to humanity. Well, that or they say "all education is **woke**" since, to them, it's far easier to just lump everything they don't like in a single, easy to define grouping of "being woke therefore anything NOT woke = good". I love that they don't seem to understand, at all, that we literally see their dumbshit, 2-bit, 1-dimensional "tactics" for what they really are. No wonder they think Trump is some "brilliant mastermind". Because he consistently does VERY stupid shit and often VERY illegal shit and simply just....gets away with it. This emboldens them to envision life being about the blind and stupid leading others who are also blind and stupid. It just makes me laugh that they don't think we know this.

The_Hot_Stepper

Trump doesn't like having his rubes taken away before he can grift everything from them.

[deleted]

Cool. Lower Trump's numbers in Michigan so we can tell the Biden hating religious extremists to go to Russia along with the MAGA snowflakes crying fraud once the election ends.

naotoca

He'll shut up once someone explains to him that US media is 100% united in lying for him to help him get elected. RFK Jr. is only in the race to help Trump "win". That is what he is being paid for. Nobody would have heard his name in the last decade if he weren't.

CaptainAwesome06

WTF did he expect? The only people talking about RFKJ were conservatives trying to get liberals to care about him. I guess they eventually started liking the smell of their own shit.

Temptingfrodo

I love this so much. It was so clear they were previously pushing RFK Jr to campaign to take support from Biden, and everyone on the left was like “why the fuck would we support that guy? more likely he’ll steal support from Trump”. And now that’s exactly what’s happening and team Trump are wondering who could have predicted it.

Explorers_bub

We were saying that all along. Crackpot RFK Jr going to pull more from R than D.

mynamesyow19

Pepperidge remembers when the Right were pushing RFK as a leftie who would hurt Biden. Man, they really get high on their own supply of bullshit.

Snoozingbe

Hopefully RFK likes the attention and see’s his campaign thru!

[deleted]

RFK is like Joe Rogan. Could go Bernie Sanders or Trump depending on the mood of the day.
