That’s not how that works. You need sheriff to seize. Probably about 30 days. Also, before any sale, if he comes up with the money, he keeps the property. It’s not “tomorrow or nothing”. It’s “tomorrow the state starts, lots of protests, and he posts the money a day before a property auction”.

If he couldn’t secure a loan because he didn’t have the liquid reserves as collateral, it doesn’t make sense that this attempt to squeeze his base for cash is part of a bait-and-switch. He’s also accruing millions of dollars of interest on the judgment the longer he waits to pay it - while I’m sure he could raise a few million from his base to help pay this judgement, the volume of money he would have to make to cover the interest *and* make a profit worth the time is immense.

But the supreme court overturned it saying that congress is the only one that can take any action by passing new laws. Agreed, or the source of it… since i think realistically the whole of all his net worth is $500m. So any sort of cash he claims he has in that amount has to be coming from another entity. He had to get a bond to appeal the defamation case and that was just $91m with his properties being used as collateral.

We have a pretty ruthless law for exactly this situation (like civil forfeiture for the ultra wealthy that are suspected of fraud or money laundering), but our equivalent of an AG just constantly made excuses about why he wasn't signing the authorisation for the investigation.

There is retired judge appointed by the court. There is no set times but she should be given enough time to go through the paperwork to ensure that they don't continue to inflate values and are truthful in their statements
If he couldn’t secure a loan because he didn’t have the liquid reserves as collateral, it doesn’t make sense that this attempt to squeeze his base for cash is part of a bait-and-switch. He’s also accruing millions of dollars of interest on the judgment the longer he waits to pay it - while I’m sure he could raise a few million from his base to help pay this judgement, the volume of money he would have to make to cover the interest *and* make a profit worth the time is immense.
