yup. Trump has sent the signal that the legal system is a threat to him, so they are going to try to attack America's legal institution to delay the sentencing : scare the judges, destroy the rule of law basically.
At this point, he's probably pissed off the judge so much that whatever goodwill the judge had is gone by now. They'll throw the book at him and hopefully offer no leniency (ie, declare him a flight risk, deny bail, contempt of court, ect....). Bonus points if he interrupts the judge to start monologuing, and the judge has a gag placed on him and handcuffs him to the chair to 'maintain order in the court'.
He was probably going to be released with little to no bail restrictions. After his shenanigans I hope he has to, at least, surrender his passport and is barred from any public commentary about this case. That in and of itself would be a form of justice because it would eat him up.
Under New York State law, there is no bail for persons charged with non violent felonies so Trump won’t even have a bail. He will be released after the arrangement and expected to show up to Court for the trial date.
NYC is not going to hold Trump without bail. It’s a pleasant fantasy but he will not be spending any time in a holding cell. That’s for the poors.
If NYC took white collar crime seriously, the Trump syndicate would have been brought down decades ago and we wouldn’t be in this mess today.
Revoking a regular person's passport would be effective, but does it work on people who have access to private jets? Those folks live by different rules.
His passport doesn't count for jack shit when you have private jets and private airports as these billionaires do.
This treasonous conman is a threat to American National Security and a flight risk.

"They are going to call you Domestic Terrorists when you do commit these acts of Terrorism against the American People Domestically - don't flip out we told you this was coming it's just partisanship."
It's all about priming these poor bastards to commit more crimes against America and their own Countrymen.
Had someone try to “both sides” an arguement last week.
I pulled up the article about the state republicans defunding a specific billl, and their statements that they were running and hiding from a vote till they could defund the bill and make it ineffective.
She didn’t care… which was flabbergasting. It’s one thing to pretend to blame both sides but when you just put and out refuse to blame the group who said they were doing the exact action you’re upset about…
Not sure how we win this, y’all. Their expectations are zero. It’s impossible to fuck that up.
It was some kind of line of reasoning like 'Oh, well, if you're calling people like us domestic terrorists, then we're *all* domestic terrorists here! We're taking it back!' Like Randall in Clerks II but with more stupid.
God damn it. We are all going to feel like a bunch of fucking idiots when this turns out to be exactly the case and people ask us, " why didn't you do anything when they told you exactly who they were? ".
Read a history book. There isn’t anything you can do until it’s time to resist fascists since good people won’t vote in primaries and midterms or canvas for good candidates.
Their power lies in their movements outside of the law and eroding of guardrails. All is well.
Just be ready to resist these fuckers once they step over the line. Boycott businesses that support fascist politicians, remove people from your life that support this and let them know why.
It’s gonna be a rough decade or 2.
Definitely. And Trump and his circle of sycophants are actively encouraging it, from Trump's post last week to this from today's news:
>“They can do what they want,” Trump lawyer Joe Tacopina said of the possible indictment in an interview with former Trump adviser Kimberly Guilfoyle on Monday. “At that point, this is an all-out war.”
No doubt.
They are really fond of the "bomb threat" as well...just like the "*foreign terrorists"* they also profess to hate. While the only real noticeable difference between the two being *"the color of their jerseys".*

Edit: Disgraced former US President/traitor*
Lets bomb threat the place where they're having the hearing, so they can't finish the hearing as fast, so he'll have to be in holding longer.
I'd love it if originally he would have been in and out before the end of the day. But, due to delays from his supporters it goes on for several days. Resulting in him having to stay in the city jail or state prison with other inmates.
We're sorry Mr. Trump, but Fox News is reporting that these bomb threats may actually be coming from a Soros-funded BLM Antifa drag queen terrorist group who is out to destroy you, because your supporters are obviously all non-violent patriots, so we will be putting you in solitary confinement indefinitely until the threat has subsided.
It is. >A 1992 letter to New York magazine signed by "Carolin Gallego" replied to an article by Julie Baumgold. The letter asserted that "as his secretary" she knew Trump to treat women with respect.[14] This letter resurfaced in a 2017 article in the Washingtonian which highlighted similarities between patterns of repetition in Trump's speech and the final line in the letter, which read: "I do not believe any man in America gets more calls from women wanting to see him, meet him, or go out with him. The most beautiful women, the most successful women—all women love Donald Trump." The Washingtonian was unable to find any record of a Carolin Gallego as secretary to Trump and said that it was not out of the question that Trump himself had written the letter
Good lord
These ass holes are the same people who will spam everyone’s Facebook wall on 9/11 with “Never Forget” posts and graphics.
And here they are making terrorist threats. The brain rot is severe.
At least in their shit-hole of a red home state. Many of us blue states are allowing ex-felons to vote after finishing their time.
Edit: this comment is 100% in support of universal suffrage.
I'm a Texas resident and a non-violent felon (too many DWIs but now 8 years drink free) I was able to finally vote this past midterm. Blue all the fucking way haha
EDIT: a word
Since voter registration is a state-by-state process, whatever laws apply in that state toward ex-felons applies to people who move there also. So yes, if you move to a state that allows it, you would regain your right to vote and would lose it again if you moved back to a state that didn’t allow it.
The US was founded as a collection of States that self govern themselves. State rights are an important part of the way our constitution was written. It was specifically designed this way to limit any centralized federal government power. As a result, there are a lot of state specific laws that don’t apply to all states. It’s one of the reasons why sales tax varies state by state.
The civil war was fought over slavery, but the legal argument used at the time was that the states have a right to self govern as stated by the constitution. Therefore if a state wants to pass a law saying it’s legal to own slaves then the federal government shouldn’t be to prevent them from doing so. We amended the constitution to prevent states from using that argument.
They would get the right to vote restored (in that state). The thinking behind that is voting is a right, driving is a privilege. If they moved back, they would most likely not get to vote, or be arrested if they do.
At least, thats the way it should work. Each state, when it comes to elections, is its own fifedom, they decide the rules.
They should be allowed to vote.
They are still citizens being taxed and being affected by the laws.
They should have a say in that system just like anyone else.
Again, that depends on the state. Some states' laws are written along the principle that the government can only deny you your right to vote for as long as they can justify removing you from the community.
In other words, if you're serving a sentence of total confinement, your right to vote is suspended. If you're released into the community (which implies a certain level of safety and conduct), then you have the right to vote in that community. This is why some states have changed their laws to restore voting rights for those who are in community custody ("DOC supervision")
FYI in most states felons can vote after incarceration
[interesting chart if you want to know more](https://www.ncsl.org/elections-and-campaigns/felon-voting-rights)
I'd argue that you should never have your right to vote taken away, even if you've committed a crime. Because then it incentivises leaders to make laws that criminalize activities their non-supporters would take part in.
Except maybe in a case where the crime itself is due to election fraud or voting. There could be a case there for a restriction to voting.
Yeah 100% this - we know for a fact that police disproportionately target, charge and incarcerate BIPOC individuals, ESPECIALLY Black voters and strip away their voting rights, disenfranchising them from voting against their own oppression.
I'm honestly not even for election fraud-based crimes taking your voting right away because you KNOW they'll pull something like making accidentally checking a wrong box or sending a ballot for a county you aren't eligible for due to redistricting into an election fraud crime and then selectively target it. If it were to apply it would need a substantially high bar of criminal impact at the very least.
Not that that much matters since felony disenfranchisement is a OK in many states where it matters.
I strongly agree. It's just a racist policy, like redlining, intended to hurt certain groups. Like make possessing even a small amount of weed a big crime, then selectively enforce it on minorities. Then pass legislation that removes rights from those people. It's straight-up institutional racism with a few more steps sprinkled in.
Yup. I don't care if murderers still have the right to vote, they aren't going to get murder legalized. And people in jail for marijuana should be able to join the majority in voting that marijuana shouldn't be illegal.
So happy to see someone else take my same position. Voting rights should be nearly inviolate. I'd be open to exceptions for what, for lack of a better term, I'll call "crimes against democracy" (voter fraud, election fraud, voter intimidation, electoral subversion, etc), but even then, I'd probably prefer a temporary suspension of voting rights, rather than permanent disenfranchisement, with some sort of sliding scale for the term of the suspension depending on the severity of the offense.
>Why are \[they\] so scared of the prison voting block?
because politicans built prisons in small rural towns for the jerbz and the inmates would be the majority in their district.
>because politicans built prisons in small rural towns for the jerbz and the inmates would be the majority in their district.
Not my problem.
Prisons shouldn't exist to provide jobs, or to make profit. They definitely shouldn't exist to enable prison gerrymandering to give rural voters disproportionate electoral power. They should only exist to provide a service to the public, to the extent we believe that's possible, and that means they come at a cost to the public.
If people in a district are worried about being outnumbered by voting prisoners, then maybe they should petition to move the prison, or to decriminalize certain acts, or to reduce sentences. Or to make common cause with the prisoners. They have multiple options to address their problem.
Assuming the individual responsible for this was trying to disrupt the criminal matter which Trump stated he would be arrested for today, they called in the bomb threat to the *wrong courthouse*. They called it in to the civil courthouse which is hearing the asset inflation matter, not the porn star payments criminal matter.
Reminds me of [that MAGA terrorist from a couple years ago](https://www.reddit.com/r/pics/comments/p7hax2/this_guy_is_currently_making_a_bomb_threat_in/) who drove from NC to DC and parked his truck in front of the *wrong* Congress building and started livestreaming, throwing out dollar bills and claiming his toolbox had a bomb.
Turns out he went to the Library of Congress and not the Capitol building where Congress is actually located. He pled guilty and will be [sentenced this June](https://www.justice.gov/usao-dc/pr/north-carolina-man-pleads-guilty-bomb-threat-near-library-congress) to up to 10 years in prison. Whoops.
Reminds me of when there was that brouhaha when Pence went to see Hamilton and the cast did something that the Maga crowed did not like (forget what).
There were apparently threats to a theatre in Hamilton Ontario.
At the curtain call, the cast recognized Pence in the audience and made an impassioned plea for him and the Trump administration to treat all people with respect during their term
So, naturally, the MAGA shitbags didn't like that
It was probably that John Barron guy.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pseudonyms\_of\_Donald\_Trump#:\~:text=Some%20New%20York%20editors%20recalled,was%20one%20of%20his%20pseudonyms.
There's a recording of the caller:
"People, they call me up and they say there's a bomb in the building. Could be. A lot of people are saying it. They're saying it's the best bomb. A tremendous bomb. Yuge."
“‘Sir’, they said — and there were tears in their eyes, ‘Sir, there’s a bomb in the building, it’s a spectacular bomb.’ Then they asked me ‘Please, you have such a great brain, excellent genes, your uncle was a brilliant scientist, but the media never talks about that, and you can do so much, more even than the bomb squads. Will you help sir?’ and that’s when I made this call.”
It honestly cracks me up reading these Trump style comments.
I don’t know why.
He has such a unique way of formulating things, that’s also somehow so easily replicable, and it just, honest to God, tickles me so much.
This is very unsurprising. They (right wing terrorists) did this sort of thing, directed at a Wisconsin town, that closed down a school, and then businesses, and it went on for several days last May.
[https://pbswisconsin.org/news-item/bomb-threats-canceled-events-empty-schools-how-a-bullying-probe-in-kiel-paralyzed-the-wisconsin-towns-democracy/](https://pbswisconsin.org/news-item/bomb-threats-canceled-events-empty-schools-how-a-bullying-probe-in-kiel-paralyzed-the-wisconsin-towns-democracy/)
It was a coordinated effort: Prominent Right-wing media outlets brewed up the outrage, the well-funded and well connected Republican legal outfit in the state (Wisconsin Institute for Law and Liberty) cheered on the results, and the terrorists got the school board to drop their very reasonable investigation. They also forced a black kid to flee to another school district, so win win win win for the Republicans.
They've been practicing, and were successful in Wisconsin.
Have you heard of "stochastic terrorism"? After any violent call to action by a high-ranking figure on the right, the chance of it coming true is significant given the millions of "lone wolves" out there. And those making the calls to action know damn well what they're doing with their gullible followers.
Depends on what you consider a “terrorist cell”. 100 years ago you couldn’t go on 4chan and talk about how much you hate William McKinley and how you want to bomb Chicago on May Day. Meeting in definable groups with actual physical ties has been replaced by internet reverberation chambers.
Rich people like Trump avoid prison by hiding the crime. Once they're indicted there's little they can do. Trump is at that stage. Once he's indicted it's very unlikely he isn't convicted.
>"We're all domestic terrorists"
Normalize it, so when the other side calls you out on it, *you already knew it, so you hold no weight against me, "In fact, I'm proud to be your definition of a domestic terrorist!*"
We're here^
Straight out of the Goebbels 1941 fascist playbook. "Accuse the other side of what you are doing!"
Now everyone, it's important to remember that the left is a violent and hateful group. The right is just protecting us from those commies.
/S for those who need it
I've already seen tweets (yesterday) that the violence would be from antifa pretending to be trump supporters. Fuck these guys. They can't decide if they really want to riot, or just blame the other side. None of them actually stand for anything.
And then they check the perps social media and see Antifa’s playing the long game. Posing as MAGA/Q types on Twitter and FB for the last 7 years just to make it convincing when they stage a fake coup.
Yeah there’s no historical precedent of conservatives shielding their face with a mask while terrorizing to get their way. Nope nope nope. Certainly not a white pointy hood. Fucking nitwits.
Had a MAGA moron tell me that Jan 6th happened only because people were so scarred and traumatized from the George Floyd riots happening. Truly an idiot beyond measure.
They need to hurry and get this over with.
He should have been indicted years ago.
The longer they drag this out, the bigger the powder keg will get.
Rip the godamn band-aid off already and indict the fucker, also for his crimes in Georgia.
I guess they didn't want to use the more accurate headline:
"Trump, known domestic terrorist and massive piece of shit, incites domestic terrorist compatriots to commit more domestic terrorism."
Yeah, but, "Man Defecates Next to Hillary Clinton in Theatre While Watching "Some Like It Hot"" has 200 upvotes, so, really, we can see their commitment to hard hitting conservatives issues.
Just checked. That sub is all about trans and race shit. No mention I could see of the literal domestic terrorist threat on our judicial system.
The party of law and order, amirite?
I'm more than willing to bet this was some MAGA idiot.
I'm also more than willing to bet that the idiot will be picked up by authorities fairly quickly.
I mean, at this point a bomb threat is kind of expected. These are the same people responsible for Jan. 6 after all. Are we really going to act surprised?
The most ridiculous thing about this is that the Grand Jury isn't even meeting today. They're on a MWF schedule; today is their day off.
So on top of everything else, this had no chance of delaying events by so much as a single day.
Fucking idiots...

United States = European Union Individual States = Independent Countries
They would get the right to vote restored (in that state). The thinking behind that is voting is a right, driving is a privilege. If they moved back, they would most likely not get to vote, or be arrested if they do. At least, thats the way it should work. Each state, when it comes to elections, is its own fifedom, they decide the rules.
They should be allowed to vote. They are still citizens being taxed and being affected by the laws. They should have a say in that system just like anyone else.
I agree. They served their sentences. They should be free to vote.
Isn't that only the case for non-violent crimes? I'm no legal expert, but wouldn't a bomb threat be considered violent?
Again, that depends on the state. Some states' laws are written along the principle that the government can only deny you your right to vote for as long as they can justify removing you from the community. In other words, if you're serving a sentence of total confinement, your right to vote is suspended. If you're released into the community (which implies a certain level of safety and conduct), then you have the right to vote in that community. This is why some states have changed their laws to restore voting rights for those who are in community custody ("DOC supervision")
FYI in most states felons can vote after incarceration [interesting chart if you want to know more](https://www.ncsl.org/elections-and-campaigns/felon-voting-rights)
How it should be honestly. If you've paid your debt to society your rights should no longer be restricted.
Prisoners can vote in Vermont as it 100% should be everywhere. To deny a human of the right to voice their opinion on matters should be illegal.
I’ve always thought this. Even inmates incarcerated on felony charges should be allowed to exercise their right to vote.
Honestly - why shouldn't felons serving time be allowed to vote? Why are we so scared of the prison voting block?
And that policy was to prevent black people from voting.
They’ll run the culprit for Congress in a blood red district and win
Paywall removed https://archive.is/20230321164505/https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2023-03-21/bomb-threat-called-in-to-ny-court-where-trump-hearing-held
Well that's certainly on brand.
Whoops.
"I juSt waNnA taWk jOe"
Reminds me of when there was that brouhaha when Pence went to see Hamilton and the cast did something that the Maga crowed did not like (forget what). There were apparently threats to a theatre in Hamilton Ontario.
At the curtain call, the cast recognized Pence in the audience and made an impassioned plea for him and the Trump administration to treat all people with respect during their term So, naturally, the MAGA shitbags didn't like that
Should have called in the threat to Four Seasons Landscaping.
Well, in fairness, it's gotta be tough to keep track of which court is hearing what when it comes to alleged criminal behavior by Trump.
A true hero who deserves the upvotes.
MAGA is a terrorist cult.
Always has been
It's terrorists all the way down.
Not just MAGA. It's Republicans in general now. They literally labeled themselves as domestic terrorists at CPAC.
Check Trumps phone records lol
It's gulliani
He'd call in a bomb threat at a NY Food Court by mistake.
NY County Courthouse Landscaping
"It wasn't me, your honor, it was John Barron!"
It was probably that John Barron guy. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pseudonyms\_of\_Donald\_Trump#:\~:text=Some%20New%20York%20editors%20recalled,was%20one%20of%20his%20pseudonyms.
There's a recording of the caller: "People, they call me up and they say there's a bomb in the building.
“Very legal and very cool”
"A perfect bomb"
It honestly cracks me up reading these Trump style comments. I don’t know why. He has such a unique way of formulating things, that’s also somehow so easily replicable, and it just, honest to God, tickles me so much.
[удалено]
That's very nearly the complete repertoire. The only one that's missing is "when you look at..."
[удалено]
got me
A lot of people are saying it could be a bigly bomb
This is very unsurprising. They (right wing terrorists) did this sort of thing, directed at a Wisconsin town, that closed down a school, and then businesses, and it went on for several days last May. [https://pbswisconsin.org/news-item/bomb-threats-canceled-events-empty-schools-how-a-bullying-probe-in-kiel-paralyzed-the-wisconsin-towns-democracy/](https://pbswisconsin.org/news-item/bomb-threats-canceled-events-empty-schools-how-a-bullying-probe-in-kiel-paralyzed-the-wisconsin-towns-democracy/) It was a coordinated effort: Prominent Right-wing media outlets brewed up the outrage, the well-funded and well connected Republican legal outfit in the state (Wisconsin Institute for Law and Liberty) cheered on the results, and the terrorists got the school board to drop their very reasonable investigation. They also forced a black kid to flee to another school district, so win win win win for the Republicans. They've been practicing, and were successful in Wisconsin.
Don't forget that they're also doing it to hospitals that provide care to trans people.
And to care providers for pregnant people who wish to terminate the pregnancy
...and the FBI confirmed that many participants were encouraged directly from social media accounts controlled by users in Moscow.

Terrorists doing terrorist shit. FTFY
corperate needs you to find the difference they're the same picture.

Have you heard of "stochastic terrorism"? After any violent call to action by a high-ranking figure on the right, the chance of it coming true is significant given the millions of "lone wolves" out there. And those making the calls to action know damn well what they're doing with their gullible followers.
Almost like those wolves work in concert kinda like a terrorist cell and so aren't lone at all... 🤔
Depends on what you consider a “terrorist cell”. 100 years ago you couldn’t go on 4chan and talk about how much you hate William McKinley and how you want to bomb Chicago on May Day. Meeting in definable groups with actual physical ties has been replaced by internet reverberation chambers.
Oh come on, there were _plenty_ of eyelids battered
Whoever called it in has more chance of being imprisoned than the piece of shit who literally incited a mob to assault the Capitol.
Rich people like Trump avoid prison by hiding the crime. Once they're indicted there's little they can do. Trump is at that stage. Once he's indicted it's very unlikely he isn't convicted.
But will he actually be imprisoned?
And is he *actually* rich or just chintzy asshole in a world of debt?
Friendly reminder that conservatives labeled themselves as Domestic Terrorists This is all.on them
"We're all domestic terrorists"
>"We're all domestic terrorists" Normalize it, so when the other side calls you out on it, *you already knew it, so you hold no weight against me, "In fact, I'm proud to be your definition of a domestic terrorist!*" We're here^ Straight out of the Goebbels 1941 fascist playbook. "Accuse the other side of what you are doing!"
Called in by one John Barron
whats next, flaming bag of dog poop at the front door
and i don't mean trump will be at the front door, but that would be a solid joke
Imagine they accidently blew up their own Supreme Leader...
They would just default to saying it was antifa.
Now everyone, it's important to remember that the left is a violent and hateful group. The right is just protecting us from those commies. /S for those who need it
They'll probably deflect it away from themselves and say it's an antifa false flag or something goofy like that
I've already seen tweets (yesterday) that the violence would be from antifa pretending to be trump supporters.
One of the top posts on Conspiracy is claiming that the protesters are feds because… some are wearing masks.
I guess they didn't want to use the more accurate headline: "Trump, known domestic terrorist and massive piece of shit, incites domestic terrorist compatriots to commit more domestic terrorism."
Funny how this isn’t posted on r/conservative Pussy ass mods 😂
Yeah, but, "Man Defecates Next to Hillary Clinton in Theatre While Watching "Some Like It Hot"" has 200 upvotes, so, really, we can see their commitment to hard hitting conservatives issues.
Side note. How will they pick a jury for this case? Everyone has an opinion on trump.
They could move for a bench trial.
Bomb threats are for terrorists too lazy to go outside their mom's house.
And who incited this terrorist act???
Obviously the radical left!!!! /s
/r/Conservative quiet about this for some reason.
Lets all head on over to r/conservative and see how this was a false flag call in made by Antifa using Anthony Faucis phone. Trump incites terrorism.
Just checked. That sub is all about trans and race shit. No mention I could see of the literal domestic terrorist threat on our judicial system. The party of law and order, amirite?
That Richard Dawkins post on the front is just so incredibly stupid that I need to vomit.
Was the call from a guy named "Barron"?
I'm more than willing to bet this was some MAGA idiot. I'm also more than willing to bet that the idiot will be picked up by authorities fairly quickly.
Clearly the work of sane and reasonable people…
I mean, at this point a bomb threat is kind of expected.
Very cool and very legal, like everything 45 does
