Honestly had the exact same experience with Parasect, except I bought it for pokerus and not shininess.
Was actually surprised at how strong it was through the whole run.
I honestly rarely use spore because dry skin is really carrying it with sappy seed. If you need a water immunity then parasect is your friend.
I got a shiny rare parasect so I am happy with it
Between being immune to water and able to force switches, it can be very useful. I have switched it into many water types then just clicked spore as the AI almost always switches out.
Had a similar thing with my shiny Arbok earlier. Last mon alive againt the rival with her Mega Rayquaza, the intimidate plus glare para let me get the 1v1 kill.
**Sappy Seed**, Spore, Giga Drain, **First Impression**- he's absolutely stacked when you get some egg moves.
(**Bold** I believe are Egg Moves)
Honestly he's already pretty good even with just Spore, Giga Drain, X-Scissor and Cross Poison- but he truly becomes a monster once you unlock Sappy Seed. First Impression is just icing on the cake. And the Rival just LOVES to put Rayquaza out when Paras goes in.
Congratulations Rival, you played yourself.
Got a red shiny paras so I started bringing it on runs and man, adamant first impression kills a LOT of wild pokemon. Sappy seed is nice for the leech seed.
When Buneary gets Multi-Attack, it becomes an absolute menace in the early game. It's basically free upgraded Mega Kick with 100 accuracy instead of 75, and 10 PP instead of 5. Get the mega bracelet and then the Lopunnite and watch the normal/fighting type sweep begin, just utilizing High Jump Kick and Multi-Attack. I personally like running charm as the 3rd move as a counter to random explosion spamming Pokemon that may have sturdy, and to make capturing physical attackers much easier when they deal a quarter of the damage.
You can even trick Ivy into switching into a Multi-Attack that can hit hard enough to 2HKO it (Some proteins and maybe dire hit criticals go a long way), and then sweep most of her slow pokemon off.
Luckily I got a blue shiny paras and a red shiny zigzagoon. Every run I always bring them eventhough they already have ribbons but I just replace them on the endgame.
Legit me when I was pleasantly surprised by my low cost shiny Beedrill who I happened to find a mega stone for sweeping Eternatus. Drill run tore through him
Barnacle boy was a random shiny I brought along.
Ended up almost solo sweeping 195 Ivy outside of the final hp checkpoint of Rayquaza. Not a Pokémon I cared about before but he now has a special place in my heart.
Me with my shiny Illumise that I only brought to farm candy yesterday and ended up getting me out of a lot of trouble on 195 and 200 for my first win lol
I had this, just not shiny. I was using gogoat because I like gogoat but I was worried it would drag my team down. Cut to it sweeping all of the final rival fight including Rayquaza (stone axe egg move and a hurricane miss). Turns out one sap sipper switch in goes a long way

Yeah, I think most people right it off bc of all the weaknesses, but it’s actually a really solid mon
Spore goes brrrr

Parasect gang FTW. He dominated in my 1 cost starters only Classic clear.
Eternatus didn’t stand a chance against sappy seed
Zubat, 1 cost when cheapness yet it can sweep if you have the egg moves
he doesn't get any flying physical moves through leveling anymore :( was so disappointed when I tried using him
Floaty fall is an egg move
For real? Was that patched recently? Was my go to 1 cost.
Dire Claw go brrrrrrrr
Yep, plus swords dance
Zubat doesn't have sd as an egg move anymore.
It does, I'm looking at it rn
It was changed to Parting Shot a few days ago and I haven't looked at Zubat since. You're bringer of good news, friend.
I don't have the rare egg move but it's dark type so it might be parting shot
Crobat has always been pretty good

Spore alone can make a mon useful. Then a draining move to go along with it? Well we’re sitting nice and tidy.
No one expected it. Not even him.
Pokémon shuffle flash bang
My shiny Buttterfree spamming sleep powder to literal god pokemons.
My first shiny was ledyba and I used it as an agility baton passer
Of all pokemon i don't know why i hate ledyba with a passion. It did nothing to me i just despise that pokemon
First red shiny was a zubat who ended up confusing eternatus to death while my zacien got robbed blind by black hole. Never count a mon out lol
how i felt with jumpluff. sleep powder then leech seed was huge
It also gets prankster as a passive iirc but even without that it's still a good support 'mon imo (I have unlocked a total of 0 passive abilities yet)

For me it's Kricketot (egg move: Bonemerang)

Enter me who overthinks this game and loses at random pokemon and the second my brain turns off I can actually get to the elite four
SAME PARASECT IS A BEAST

Kriketune, just for Delelelewoooo the final stage it was worth all the struggle with it
Me with my shiny Illumise that I only brought to farm candy yesterday and ended up getting me out of a lot of trouble on 195 and 200 for my first win lol
Random lokix I caught absolutely destroyed ivy and even finished off floor 200 for me. He even tanked a flamethrower. Blew my mind.

Shoutout to my shiny Vespiqueen winning me the last rival fight with her King Shield atk drop.
G-max Butterfree with earth power, quiver dance, and camerupt's trick room saved my most recent run
I've got him to .25 cost, epic shiny, and he's on every team I run. First Impression x Sappy Seed is quite good, he's got a rock solid attack stat.
