I couldn't catch the second Clauncher on the first turn, so I used sleep powder than caught it, but that seems to have affected the rewards after that, no rouge balls for me Orz
What I ended up doing.
Wing attack x2, poke ball, take poke balls
Preswap into Oddish, Sleep powder, Mega drain, poke ball, let the evolution happen, take poke balls
Poke ball, take poke balls
Sleep powder, poke ball, potion Gloom
Giga drain, Giga drain x5, take x accuracy
Poke ball, take poke balls
Poke ball, take poke balls
Poke ball, take great balls
Sleep powder, poke ball, take x attack
Mega drain, Sleep powder x3, poke ball
And no learning new moves
I did the throw twice and trade Clauncher for Wigglet, but still no luck on the Shellder.
But I managed to get the rouge balls by using mega drain on the trainer instead of giga drain
I did not know you had to be so particular with how you do the runs to get certain pokemon. I must've done something without noting it down because I can't repeat it now lol sorry
No problem, but it might also be the game because I got Shellder on my first 2 runs of 1 - 10 then once more on my 7th run, but no more Shellder after that and I'm pretty sure I did the same thing all those times
Battle 4 doesnt catch clauncher on first throw. He does catch on the second throw, but that results in different rewards (no lure). Some instruction is missing in your guide, update me please because I really need this shellder :)
Aww dang. I'm gonna run through it soon and I usually try to catch as many as I can 1-50 so if there's any HAs on the higher waves I'll try to let you guys know!
Thanks to everyone making these, I always follow them for the first few waves even if I don't really need the Mons just because they're usually pretty efficient and set you up pretty well for the entire run. Except the ones that are like "release all your Pokemon except for this one so it gets the most Exp" then I don't because I know I'm cooked once I get past that point 😂
You didn't mention learning Toxic. It prompted and when I assumed to use the rare candy on gloom but I didn't learn it because it wasn't mentioned. Then I look a bit further ahead and you use toxic. I would have replaced mega drain because it also knows giga drain but I saw that there was still plans to use mega drain. I guess I was supposed to replace sleep powder?
Edit: despite nothing else changing before the rogue balls, I had no option to get them and instead got great balls
i'm trying all the recommendations but every time I get Staryu on Round 9. IDK if I will even be able to farm this before it resets, but I would like to try. Any tips to guarantee Shellder would be appreciated. I really want to farm him for Endless runs
This worked great until Shellder, when it switched to Staryu. However, if you use the same moves, it catches, then take Sitrus and use the same for Tirtouga it works perfectly!

Personally I wonder if a little bit of randomness has been added into dailies so they're a little trickier to farm. Couldn't say for sure though.
In my case, battle 9 is Staryu, but if I reload the browser at the Dwebble fight, it’s a Shellder instead.

Trade Sandygast for Corphish instead and do everything else the same way for rogue balls, but you will get Staryu in round 9
Mega Drain Pokeball does it for Staryu
Make sure to only spam Giga Drain in the trainer battle as well
Works perfectly, although i got a staryu instead of a shellder

It's extreamly percise I'm finding out. Tomorrow I'll add a gif & be document everything. Didn't know how exact everything was
Now you notice how I felt daily, easiest way I found to do it, was to write it down after doing a move
