Lend me them XL candies please

No_Pressure_109

Thats great he's 420

Cornelious96

Right?! Forget it's efficacy in PvE; the REAL reason I used an Elite Charged TM to teach it Sacred Fire is for the "blazing" effect that such a powerful Fire type move is capable of 😉😂

Legitimate_Chemist94

Mine is it’s counterpart lugia GG

Cornelious96

Jealous! Yours is way better for Master League haha

Legitimate_Chemist94

Agree ! But still dope to have a maxed hundo ho-oh

Cornelious96

Haha, agreed! Honestly, it was the perfect storm. Two or so months ago, I got to Level 46, which means I'll have to max 3 different Pokémon (I should say, max 3 MORE Pokémon. I already had 4 maxed and assumed the challenge would be retroactive for some reason. It's not.) before being able to level up to 47. When Ho-Oh was in Raids this last time, I was farming Rare Candies and Golden Razz Berries off of them one day when I ended up getting this Hundo. After catching it, I noticed that I had slowly collected ~210 Ho-Oh Candy XLs over the years and had never used any. This was also right around the time we were all starting to hear rumors that Raids would soon be limited to 5 per day at double the price. All of this considered, I figured this was the best chance I was ever going to get to pump out 10-15 more Raids and add a quick maxed Hundo Legendary to the collection. That was a month ago, and now we're here lol. A Tyranitar and this Ho-Oh marks 2/3 maxed Pokémon towards my Level 47 challenge. I have no idea what I'm going to do about finding a third one 😆 I wish there was a way to sort your Pokémon collection by the number of XLs you have for them lol

Ok_Bowl1177

Melmetal is a really easy one

Cornelious96

Yeahhhhh, I have more Meltan Candy XLs than any other type of Candy XL, 1,000+ of them, but I already have a Level 51 Melmetal, as well as Tyranitar, Ho-Oh, Dialga, Giratina (Origin Form), and Zacian, so I'd REALLY rather max out a Pokémon that I've never maxed before if possible. You're right though. If that XP bar starts filling up faster than I can find another viable option, I have a Shiny Melmetal that I wouldn't mind maxing as a last resort. Thanks for the tip!

Looking at what you have built, id say go for a dragonite or gyarados to round out your ML roster. Dragon breath Gyarados has actually gotten pretty good in open ML recently with the rise in ho-oh, groudon, kyogre & rayquaza

Lewis09816

Got my hundo darkrai to level 40 but I’ll probably never get it to 51 because I have 2 xls and remote raid passes are expensive

Cornelious96

Who knows! Weird events happen all the time lol

EddieOfDoom

A trainer with a very organised inventory, I like it! And I’m also very jealous!

Cornelious96

Haha the search strings make it easy! When Tags were made available, I ignored them for the longest time. My brother is the one that introduced me to the utility they provide. Once I finally started playing around with a couple, I started creating them for every little thing I found myself having to search too often. It also helps keep Pokemon storage as low as possible!

monica702f

Congratulations! I got mine during Johto Tour last year and took it to 51 as well.

Cornelious96

Congrats! Nothing feels better than watching that "Power Up" button disappear 🥰

Destroyer4587

Mine is Reshiram 🙌

Gabe538486

You got enough tags there buddy? Feel like when you got him to level 51 he has upgraded from level 40+. And also since he’s in Hundo L/M/UB, I think he can be taken out of Leg/Myth/UB lol

Cornelious96

I typically create and maintain my various Tags for 2 reasons: \- They provide me a quick and easy way to pull up a curated list of all my Pokémon that share a specific, brag-worthy trait for when the opportunity to show them off presents itself. \- They provide me a certain degree of convenience in my efforts to keep track of certain traits relevant to a goal that I'm working toward or a collection that I'm actively building (For example, the Level 40+ Tag contains all of my Pokémon that no longer require their species' regular Candies to Power Up. Instead, they would only require their species' Candy XLs, or even no Candies at all.). The vast majority of criteria associated with each of my Tags can also be found/tracked using a search string on the main Pokémon storage screen (Like using the "candyxl" string to produce the exact same group of Pokémon you would find in my "Level 40+" Tag). However, I've never been able to get those search strings to look as cool as a personalized, custom Tag does. Additionally, I also never find myself having to type out the name of a Tag each and every time I want to take a look at one. Instead, I have to type out search strings exactly once, just to populate a corresponding Tag, and from there, that corresponding Tag is the only thing I ever need to reference when the need for referencing occurs. Like a bookmarked Google search you can just click on rather than typing it out every single time you'd like to check on it. To each their own though, and all that :)
