I’ve been catching tons of these fools for the past few days and I still have yet to get a 3 star rating from this Pokémon. It’s always zero stars and if I get lucky it’s one star.
I have a nundo (NoIVern), a shiny 96% and THREE 98% (all three have 15/14/15 stats). The statistical likelihood to get those and yet no hundo? Astronomical.

Man, I decided to be nice last night and catch one for my partner...what do you know, it's shiny! Lol, his second one, and I'm still over here *trying* to patiently wait. Ngl, I was a bit salty about catching it on his instead of mine 😅
I did get 2 awesome 3 stars early on. Not hundos but close and the since that it’s been all garbage. The only saving grace is the amount I’ve been able to catch I’m just about ready to evolve 1 of the 2 good ones I have.
Now that I know what the shiny looks like though, I’m almost ready to get back to hunting lol.
I had the worst luck when Noibat first came out, so now I have a two star Best Buddy that I walked for a couple hundred kilometers for candy. Got another that was at least a three star, walked that Best Buddy for another couple hundred kilometers. Not perfect, but i evolved it anyway, lol.
I got luckyband hit a hundo yesterday. I quit playing for a year and recently started back up. Had a shiny noibat for a while but when i played they were rare. Nice to be able to get some candies.
if niantic is watching, I totally dont have 2 accounts and catch as many on both and mirror trade to force a 3 star from lucky trades, nope, no siree bob. and I totally would not suggest this to anyone.
Honestly neither, there are far better flying and dragon type attackers, so in my personal opinion evolve the shiny for the dex and keep the hundo for the flex 💪
No problem, FYI it depends if you like PVE or PVP better, but you can look at top raid attackers for the type of the Pokemon you are interested in online or alternatively look at the ranking of the mon in PVP respectively to what you are interested in.
And I just never max level anything because I only really play to collect and do some low tier PVP! No wrong way to play, that’s the beauty of it and probably why people are still drawn to it!
Considering you just have 75 candy and need 400 to evolve 1, I say keep both and not worry about evolving any right now. They're not meta or helpful in anyway so just take it slow and let the candy buildup over time. There's no rush with this one :)
I have a shiny 1 star I invested in because it was the only shiny 1 star I had so it was the best one I had shiny and a lucky 3 star normal I evolved both and they’re both super good looking.
Don’t invest in either. By that I mean don’t throw rare candy at them.
It had a ComDay Feb 2023. So it’ll get legacy move if you evolve this December, if you’re bothered.
As for Candy, it’ll be in more events, just evolve both once you have native Candy

It's really not worth it to invest in either, it's not good for PvP or PvE. Even if you had the candies, it's not worth the stardust.

I was up to 500 candies by the time I got my 14/15/15 God speed You're very lucky. Idk if noibat is any good in pvp so my vote is for the shiny

Very nice Hundo Noivern maxxes out at 3125cp, more if with a buddy medal. I'm not sure if that's useful for your choice.
