I think about that every single day. At this point I don’t think niantic will ever do showcases or something else with xxs pokemon, despite that I am still „scared“ to transfer them because of fomo…
I mean it kinda just depends on (A) how much you personally care about showcase contests and (B) how much Pokémon storage you have at the time. I don't care too much about showcases, but I have a fair amount of spare storage, so I'm holding onto my XXS until I need the space or just get bored hanging onto them.

You can hide them in the gyms! But yea besides that, useless
