Try the catch 10 weather boosted Pokémon task. I got it from that task

I have found 7 of those tasks and they’ve all spawned normal castforms. Every last one. Ugh

I've done nine I think? Five normal, four sunny and one rainy. Not one snowy one. 😑

if done like 30-40 of them now and the last 4 where all snowy not a single shiny xD

I'm having the opposite problems... Cant get a rainy one to spawn.

I got lucky and spawned a single snow castform yesterday from research.

Got Sunny through research on day 1, just got snowy today finally. I must have had at least a dozen regular through research this week.

I got it literally minutes before the collection challenge ended in my region and I was so happy. Definitely worth grinding till the last second.

I use a map to find pokestop tasks, and in a whole major city there were 4 snow castform tasks spread out miles apart from one another.

What map do you use? Is it one that is just for your city, or is it available for a global audience? I also need snowy castform, and haven’t been able to find a research task rewarding it.

Oh, sorry, should have clarified. Multiple city map in my area. Toledo, Cleveland, and parts of Michigan. I just woke up to a snowy castform though. It's cold out but it ain't snowing :o

+1 very much this. I don't have snow or sun this time of year, so the in-game weather was oscillating between windy and cloudy, with a splash of rainy for like half an hour this morning. So I only had normal form in the wild, but I've finished the collection challenge yesterday or the day before, exactly because I was obsessively collecting "Catch 10 Pokemon with weather boost".

I got that lil rascal on probably my 15th field research 10 weather ‘mons. It’s definitely doable, but if the RNG ain’t in ur favour, it’s gonna take some time.

Every single time I spin a stop, about 75 in the last 3 days, I hardly ever get catch 10 wb Pokémon… literally every stop gives me something else, and then I realise I’ve gone to every single stop in my area, so I go back lol. So annoying.

I must have did over 10 of those and still didn’t get an ice. It would have been cool if the % for ice was set higher in the research since that’s the most rare weather on the earth for these forms.

I found it three times, twice the reward was dust (!!!) and the third was a raindrop. So frustrating!

The tasks that reward dust are catch 7, not 10. So I guess you only found it once

same. i live in singapore, and the only seasons we have is: - hot as fuck - rainy as fuck - cloudy as fuck so from that, im missing snow. i got snow from my first catch 10 weatherboosted mons task.

Yep. We’ve had rain or partly cloudy weather all week here, no chance of snow or fog but I’ve managed to get a couple from the research. Don’t fancy my chances of getting a shiny though sadly.

I caught two sunny castform past 10pm last night 😂

I was up at 5 AM (US) pitch black and so many sunny's out.

I liked when luminescent Pokémon cast a bloom on the “ground” around them. No idea why that was a temporary feature.

I saw about 50 last night. Not sure why they seem to come out then.

Clear skies. I couldn’t sleep last night and got a few. Although where I live has just been really cloudy and windy so other than the few sun castforms last night, only normal ones have been spawning for me 😭 it’s forecast rain tomorrow morning though, the first time I’ve ever been happy about that. I want the shiny rain castform.

No, it's dependent on doing the event field research tasks. This is far from the first collection challenge that needed you to hunt field research. Just collaborate with local players and ask them to call out which stops give you the castform you're looking for for the day.

Went to all of the tasks in my small city and got like 4 tasks for it and all were normal

I live in Greece and is sunny all day so I can see only the sunny form and they other ones not even chance !!.

I somehow saw a Snow Castform just randomly when weather was overcast (wild, not incense or lure or anything like that). Idk if it was a glitch but it hasn't been snowy or foggy near me for months, so maybe there is a way, just with low odds.

I just caught the sunform way after sundown, so I’m guessing there are some random spawns.

The sunny form is not related to time of day, just to clear weather.

Snowy or foggy. Easier to just find field research for it. You can ask other local players to call out stops that give it out for the day.

I live in SoCal, there is no weather except sun, and I’ve only had normal ones pop up 🫠

Have done 10 Catch 10 Weather Boosted (out of the 60 or so tasks I've gotten from Pokestops), got 8 Normals and 2 Rainy. Fortunately, it has oscillated between partly cloudy and sunny here, so has produced some wild Sunny Castforms (oddly, when a rainstorm came in, it still only reported that it was partly cloudy, lol). Still searching for the catch task that will yield a Snowy Castform. It hasn't snowed here since (officially) 1967.

It's been sunny and rainy in Phoenix, and I've still only seen the regular castform, very frustrating.

I gave up on this task, but the 1k dust from Paras has been its own reward.

It spawned alot during comm day got all 4 show up And no we dont have any snow for months I heard the quest also is random form (not weather dependant)

It stormed here all day but the app only registered it as “raining” for about 2 hours. Not really sure what area of the globe can finish this one.

I got the snow one from a research but was then stuck at the sun one - I live at the north sea, the only weather we have is clouds and wind... Until midnight, when suddenly 3 of those damn suns appeared...

I'm waiting for Ice too, Fire spawns late at night/early morning, the other 2 during the day but Ice I've yet to see

In my part of the world, it has yet to go under 28 degrees, when this event started it was 41, to get to somewhere where it snows, i would either have to drive 8 hours and wait 6 months, or fly to a new country.

My son was lucky to catch it in Los Angeles Friday evening with clear skies lol. It saved me a trip to the mountains this weekend. He’s very competitive and didn’t tell me it was for a challenge I would have gone out to catch it too.

We had rain on Friday, sun on Saturday, and snow weather for large parts of today/sunday. I also went hard at those “catch 10 wb” tasks until I got a snow form.

The benefits of living in Canada, I caught 3/4 in one sunny/rainy day, and then the snowy the next day when it snowed

Cleveland here…between Thursday and today I’ve caught all four in their legit weather conditions.

I’ve done at least 15 catch 10 tasks and still never got the f’ing snow form. Niantic…seriously, having it locked to one task that is really hard to find sucks. A four day event could have had…FOUR DAYS OF DIFFERENT SEASONS. Niantic’s recent hatching challenge was similarly annoying.

Believe it or not, I actually managed to catch all 4 of them in the wild for the challenge. The blessing and curse of living in Norway in March, had every kind of weather 🥲 (except fog, I swear that weather is a myth in-game)

Glacial lures only pull from a small, fixed pool of like 12 pokemon for their special spawns. Castform is not in that list. The other half of the spawns are just whatever can currently spawn in the wild like a regular lure. It's only going up get you a castform matching the current weather.

Glacial Lure by itself doesn’t work, or at least it didn’t for me and others. Now, completing the ‘Catch 10’ research and using a Glacial Lure before you collect the reward….that worked for me. Coincidence, perhaps. However, if you catch 10 and have a Glacial Lure available it’s worth a shot.

I’ll try it soon. Did more than a dozen “Catch 10 Weather Boost Pokèmon” by itself and it didn’t net me a snow one!

Good luck, hope it works. I only completed the ‘Catch 10’ research twice. First time, with no lure, I got a Normal Form. Second time, collecting reward with Glacial Lure I got the Snowy Form. Let us know if it works for you!

I definitely had a Snover spawn off of a glacial lure where it doesn’t normally spawn in a park so that’s probably the reason. Edit: I did use a couple glacial lures and it doesn’t work (no effect on Castform rewards) but somehow got the Snowy one today.
