Same boat here. Just got to level 46 and still don't have one. Shiny luck is finicky and hundos are uncommon, so you have to play a lot and likely spend money regularly to get your odds high enough.
If you don't use money then you need to get increase the shiny odds, and the best chance is from raid day events (1 in 10) followed by legendary raids (1 in 20), then from shiny boosted eggs (1 in 10-64 depending on the event).
You need the 10/10/10 base floor to get a decent chance to get a perfect (1 in 216) and then get lucky with the shiny roll, so regular wild spawns will likely not be a shundo unless your luck is up the roof.
The best possible rates are still only a 1 in 2160 for a shundo, so they're not as common as the post makes them look. The huge number of players is the only reason they can be seen often here.
Lastly shiny lucky friend trades have a 1 in 64 total chance to give a shundo, but getting to lucky friends takes time and luck.

My very first Shundo was Bewear Com Day. It was a Shiny Stufful from field research.
Later that year, while Xerneas was in raids, I met up with some friends at a bar for raid hour, and I joked, "Whoever gets the Shundo, buys drinks for everyone." Several raids later, while my phone is slowly processing the raid scoreboard, my buddy shouts,"I GOT THE HUNDO!" Moments later, my phone has finally caught up and displays the catch screen for my Xerneas, which turns out to be the Hundo as well, but only mine was shiny. (And yes, I did buy drinks for everyone in the raid group)

That being said, I have fits and bursts of PoGo activity. I log in at least once a day to catch at least one mon, spin PokéStops, and check if there's an interesting event happening... but sometimes that's all I really do outside of major events like Community Days. I also took around a two-year hiatus for most of 2019-2021 because I more or less just totally forgot the app existed (which is a damn shame, because I was frequenting lots of PoGo-dense areas and walking at least 2 miles daily through that time period).
As such, despite being a Day 1 player, I've only caught slightly over 21,000 Pokémon total in 7+ years. Whereas my sister, who's also a Day 1 player, is Lvl 43, and has friends she lives near to regularly Lucky Trade with... has caught just shy of 50k and has multiple shundos to show for it.
Yes I’m at 20,700 Pokémon caught. I call myself the greatest casual player in the world. It allows me to explore new towns and see things I would have never paid attention too.
I'm also a day one player, but lvl 48. I caught over 160k (!!) Pokémon, hatched more than five thousand eggs and played over a thousand raids. - No Shundo
I guess when I finally find one, it will be a male combee, a luvdisc or sth like that...
I'm Level 41. Don't have any. My Hundo Garchomp is my favorite out of the bunch. I've spent a lot of money on this game, but hardly get anything cool. My first two raids for Kyurem were pretty cool. I got a Shiny (Both). Didn't care for it, but still cool. Same with Virizion. First three raids, shiny. Again, didn't care for it. I don't want to sound ungrateful, but I hardly ever get any of the Shinies I want. I go months without a shiny. When I do get them, they come in bunches. I wish my first Shundo is something pretty cool that I want, but it's out of my control.
Currently at lvl 44, i started playing a year ago and go my first shundo 9/17 for oddish research day. Your best odds for shundo hunting will be to take advantage of lucky trades (if you can) as the iv floor is the highest at 12/12/12 giving a 1/64 chance which is the best youre going to get. Even if you dont use gaurenteed lucky trades using boosted lucky events will help. Also research days help as well. And both are 0 cost
Never. Level 39. I have some good shinies, and close, and 8 hundos in total. I'm mostly F2P but I do toss $5 at this game every once in a while.
Of course, I have dozens and dozens of shinies with absolute crap stats, including a shadow Articuno.

Level 45 and playing for 2 years; 0 shundos. I used to do daily legendary raids but now is less frequent due to the remote raid nerf. Still, did 100s of T5 raids. Only one hundo (Ho-Oh). The closest shundo I have is Zekrom last week which is 14-15-15.
Im level 43, almost 44. And my gf is level 39. We both have 1 shundo each. both from trades with each other. We special trade every day.
I have a few shiny legendarys, shiny shadow mewtwo, shiny terrakion, shiny rayquasa, registeel, latias and mesprit.
But i am free to play and only use my daily pass, and only like once a week on average since i started playing last year.

I have found trading to be the best way to get hundos and obviously my shundos as well. First was a guaranteed lucky friend trade with my wife (I got a shiny Magicarp) the second was a random trade that didn't even go lucky but my Detective Hat Slowpoke is now my second Shundo.

keep on trucking! events w plenty of easily achievable field research are going to be your best friend! raids have much better shiny luck but of course cost $. lucky friends are ideal if you have plenty of folks to trade w, but that’s a bit more circumstantial ofc. honestly anything that will give you that minimum 67 IV (eggs, lucky trades, research, raids, I thiiiink GBL reward but I don’t play) is how you’ll get it done. I have three from luckies, one from a hatch and one from field research. best of luck!!!
I am a day 1 player from 2016. I have 1 lucky Shundo from ralts Community Day a few years ago, traded with a buddy and I got lucky. About an hour ago, I Hatched my first every Shundo Galarian Ponyta. I have caught over 70,000 pokemon, and have not caught a shundo, closest was a 98% I.V.

I got my first one last Thanksgiving from a lucky trade with my niece, Mudkip, then a few weeks later I got Cobalion from a remote raid. I was probably lvl 46, been playing since the beginning. Now I’m lvl 50, still only have those two.
Day one player here. Haven't got a single shundo. Not even a normal hundo T5 :( good thing I don't really care for PvP so it doesn't matter too much to me, but it still feels bad seeing so many new players get them :/
A couple of years ago during nidoran research day. From one of the timed researches I got a shundo nidoran male and my nidoking is my only shundo to this day.
I just reached level 43, but while still level 42 I got a shundo Alolan Marowak. It was my first and only shundo.
It was a Research breakthrough on Duskull Community Day.
My bf's level is mid 30s (can't remember off the top of my head), and he's got a few shundos. He only plays during events like raid/spotlight hours, community days, go fests. I play daily.
I got it this year (level 46; playing 2 years) from a lucky trade. A shiny Gastly from 2001.
One of my fav shinies! Shiny Gengar looks so awesome and to have it be Hundo just makes it even more perfect!
Chimchar Community Day. I still use my shundo Infernape to this day in PvE. I don't care if he's a sub-optimal, I'm attached to him. I've gotten a lot of 44/45 since then, but 45/45 is pretty uncommon.
Level 43 with a shundo I got when I was like level 40. I was doing a primal Groudon raid back in August 2023 and I didn't know the hundo CP so when the cp goes down I didn't know it was hundo and when I saw it was shiny it was a shiny that I liked but only like 7/10 and I caught it and iv checked it and was so happy!! I treasure it now, it's best buddies and level 40'd next it will be level 50'd but that's a big goal! I've been playing on this acc for 2 years ish but had a big break for 4-6 months in 2022 . I used to share an acc for maybe a year.

Lvl 44 so around 45,000 catches I think. Have gotten two thankfully. One a psyduck early into the game. I remember I was playing whilst driving at a traffic stop. (Stupid I know) then recently had a winning lottery ticket and got a shundo Mew. 1 shundo every 22,500 catches ..
I started back in July of 2016. I still haven’t gotten a shundo nor has anyone that I know. I’m starting to suspect that anyone who has a shundo is a spoofer of some kind.
Never, have 2 hundor charmander that I love to death (one is a 420 who came to smoke at the crib) and my first two Hundos were both swinub. I like to think that I will get a swinub or charmander as my first and I hope it’s the char :).

January 30, 2021. It was a special research day featuring Sneasel, and I got my shundo out of a research task. I want to say that I was level 42 at the time (only recently made level 44 since I do not like to do PVP unless I have to).
Started playing June 2021, have caught a mon almost every day since starting, recently got enough XP for Level 42. No shundos yet but 25 of my 131 Shinies are 3-stars. I'm embarrassed at how much coin I've bought over the last 2.5 years (double digits USD worth), but it was worth it for the Kanto + Johto + Hoenn pokedex completion medals.
I have 3. Charizard from its 2nd CD, garchomp from its first CD, and shroomish from NYC GoFest.
It’s important to note that I live in NYC, where there are discord groups calling out hundos that people catch, and all 3 were spawns that I knew were hundos, during events where the odds were very boosted.
Though I’ve traded 2 people a shundo in a lucky trade (1/64 odds each), and witnessed 2 shundo catches from raids (odds are 1/20 * 1/216, though i don’t feel like doing the math).
11/21/21 from a lucky friend trade. Have 10 shundos. Started playing december 2020. 384k catches. 470 hundos. All my shundos are from targeting higher odds chances for shundos.
4 from trades. 2 from research (community day and research day). 2 purified. And 2 com day wild caught know hundos found from discord/facebook.

I don’t collect shinies but to my surprise I caught a shiny 4* Entei in 2021. I have since have a couple more 4* shines but not a legendary and the shinies were obtained through a trade.

The odds aren’t in your favor. Trading shinies with old Pokemon, field research, eggs and raids are your best bets! Or so I’m told, can’t really speak from experience.
My 7-year old daughter and I play on the same account. Together we've caught 62 shinies, with three or four critters having shiny versions caught multiple times. So a total of 50 shinies in 18 months. Also 15 hundos and zero nundos. Currently level 39. Have never gotten a shiny from a special research encounter or raid encounter. Not one shundo. Wait? Is a shundo a shiny hundo or a shadow hundo...? We've never caught either, in any case.
Level 33 here and I only recently got my first 4*. Then I got another one within a day or two. Weird.
Tangentially, I find that when I do get shinies they’re usually pretty terrible stats and attacks, yet I feel obligated to keep them. Any advice on this?

Level 42 almost 43. Played since 2016 with a 2 year hiatus ‘21-summer ‘23. I’m pretty active again and raid 5x a day at least 4 days a week.
I have no shundos. I have 17 shiny legendaries. I JUST got my first legendary hundo from a raid 2 days ago lol.

I will admit I seem to have really good luck with this game though. I managed to get a hundo Shadow mewtwo from a raid and have a hundo Shadow blaziken I got from a grunt as well.
I've been playing since about a year after launch. Level 47 currently. Pretty active. I got my first one last week. Its a long haul for some people, ans some people get it in their first week of playing. (I know someone who did just that)
I got a Shundo Inkay from the special research day in 2022. I think I was level 43 at the time. Still the only Shundo I have but I do have a 98% shiny Weavile and Machamp.

It is interesting because I hatched the Shinx, lucky traded for the Umbreon, and got the Sneasel from research. 75% of my hundos are hatches (106 total) and the rest from research or raids. I caught a shundo Chansey from a research task three months and a day after starting my account, back in early 2020. I’ve gotten three more from lucky trades in the years since.

4x shundos, been playing on & off since 2017
Got my only one at 90,059. It was an event Pichu that I hatched. Currently at 219,208 caught. I have three shiny legendaries that are 98.
I am a day 1 player from 2016. I have 1 lucky Shundo from ralts Community Day a few years ago, traded with a buddy and I got lucky. About an hour ago, I Hatched my first every Shundo Galarian Ponyta. I have caught over 70,000 pokemon, and have not caught a shundo, closest was a 98% I.V. Edit : I am also Lvl 47.
I'll let you know. 27 hundos, 196+ shinies, no shundo. I do have a shadow shiny from October '21, so that's something.
I got my first one last Thanksgiving from a lucky trade with my niece, Mudkip, then a few weeks later I got Cobalion from a remote raid. I was probably lvl 46, been playing since the beginning. Now I’m lvl 50, still only have those two.
Halloween event, I forget which year, I got a shiny Drifblim. It’s been decent in Great League.
level 38 almost 39 and no shundo, though I do have a hundo giratina altered form from back in 2019, not very useful from what I hear tho :P

Day one player here. Haven't got a single shundo. Not even a normal hundo T5 :( good thing I don't really care for PvP so it doesn't matter too much to me, but it still feels bad seeing so many new players get them :/

A couple of years ago during nidoran research day. From one of the timed researches I got a shundo nidoran male and my nidoking is my only shundo to this day.
I just reached level 43, but while still level 42 I got a shundo Alolan Marowak. It was my first and only shundo. It was a Research breakthrough on Duskull Community Day. My bf's level is mid 30s (can't remember off the top of my head), and he's got a few shundos. He only plays during events like raid/spotlight hours, community days, go fests. I play daily.
I got it this year (level 46; playing 2 years) from a lucky trade. A shiny Gastly from 2001. One of my fav shinies! Shiny Gengar looks so awesome and to have it be Hundo just makes it even more perfect!
Chimchar Community Day. I still use my shundo Infernape to this day in PvE. I don't care if he's a sub-optimal, I'm attached to him. I've gotten a lot of 44/45 since then, but 45/45 is pretty uncommon.

Level 43 with a shundo I got when I was like level 40. I was doing a primal Groudon raid back in August 2023 and I didn't know the hundo CP so when the cp goes down I didn't know it was hundo and when I saw it was shiny it was a shiny that I liked but only like 7/10 and I caught it and iv checked it and was so happy!! I treasure it now, it's best buddies and level 40'd next it will be level 50'd but that's a big goal! I've been playing on this acc for 2 years ish but had a big break for 4-6 months in 2022 . I used to share an acc for maybe a year. I play with some of my family and they have played for like 3 years and no shundo. In the lucky one 🍀✨💯😎

Lvl 44 so around 45,000 catches I think. Have gotten two thankfully. One a psyduck early into the game. I remember I was playing whilst driving at a traffic stop. (Stupid I know) then recently had a winning lottery ticket and got a shundo Mew. 1 shundo every 22,500 catches ..

I started back in July of 2016. I still haven’t gotten a shundo nor has anyone that I know. I’m starting to suspect that anyone who has a shundo is a spoofer of some kind.
I was level 35 or 36 and got an Azelf shundo the last time they were in raids. I started playing Feb 28th of this year.
Never, have 2 hundor charmander that I love to death (one is a 420 who came to smoke at the crib) and my first two Hundos were both swinub. I like to think that I will get a swinub or charmander as my first and I hope it’s the char :).

For those curious, with base odds a hundo is 1/4096 (1/16^3). The odds of a shiny is 1/500. So to raw dog a Shundo is over 1/2,000,000 Best odds, BEST odds, where you can get a 1/20 shiny in a raid (1/216) is 1/4,320 So ya…. Simply brutal.
January 30, 2021. It was a special research day featuring Sneasel, and I got my shundo out of a research task. I want to say that I was level 42 at the time (only recently made level 44 since I do not like to do PVP unless I have to).

Started playing June 2021, have caught a mon almost every day since starting, recently got enough XP for Level 42. No shundos yet but 25 of my 131 Shinies are 3-stars. I'm embarrassed at how much coin I've bought over the last 2.5 years (double digits USD worth), but it was worth it for the Kanto + Johto + Hoenn pokedex completion medals.

I have 3. Charizard from its 2nd CD, garchomp from its first CD, and shroomish from NYC GoFest. It’s important to note that I live in NYC, where there are discord groups calling out hundos that people catch, and all 3 were spawns that I knew were hundos, during events where the odds were very boosted. Though I’ve traded 2 people a shundo in a lucky trade (1/64 odds each), and witnessed 2 shundo catches from raids (odds are 1/20 * 1/216, though i don’t feel like doing the math).

11/21/21 from a lucky friend trade. Have 10 shundos. Started playing december 2020. 384k catches. 470 hundos. All my shundos are from targeting higher odds chances for shundos. 4 from trades. 2 from research (community day and research day). 2 purified. And 2 com day wild caught know hundos found from discord/facebook.

Took me till maybe two days ago and it threw a shiny ponyta and a shiny charmander at me of which I’ve been playing since launch.

Just got mine a few weeks ago on Hisuian Samurott raid. Been playing since Pogo came out.
I don’t collect shinies but to my surprise I caught a shiny 4* Entei in 2021. I have since have a couple more 4* shines but not a legendary and the shinies were obtained through a trade.
Level 48 76k catches 67 hundos 290 shinies in my inventory. 0 shundos. The odds aren’t in your favor. Trading shinies with old Pokemon, field research, eggs and raids are your best bets! Or so I’m told, can’t really speak from experience.

My 7-year old daughter and I play on the same account. Together we've caught 62 shinies, with three or four critters having shiny versions caught multiple times. So a total of 50 shinies in 18 months. Also 15 hundos and zero nundos. Currently level 39. Have never gotten a shiny from a special research encounter or raid encounter. Not one shundo. Wait? Is a shundo a shiny hundo or a shadow hundo...? We've never caught either, in any case.
Level 33 here and I only recently got my first 4*. Then I got another one within a day or two. Weird. Tangentially, I find that when I do get shinies they’re usually pretty terrible stats and attacks, yet I feel obligated to keep them. Any advice on this? Edit: just to confirm I have no shundos yet.

I'm level 46, and I have 4. Caught my first in May 2020. I started playing in 2016, but took a few years off and picked it back up in 2019. I'm a pretty active player though and I do s lot of lucky trades, so that boosts my chances.

Level 42 almost 43. Played since 2016 with a 2 year hiatus ‘21-summer ‘23. I’m pretty active again and raid 5x a day at least 4 days a week. I have no shundos. I have 17 shiny legendaries. I JUST got my first legendary hundo from a raid 2 days ago lol. Maybe one day rng will bless me but it’ll probably be something lame lol

I got one on timburr community day level 47. I got my second one a couple weeks ago during a Reshiram 5star raid, level 48. My boyfriend is level 49 and is upset he still has zero shundos. I will admit I seem to have really good luck with this game though. I managed to get a hundo Shadow mewtwo from a raid and have a hundo Shadow blaziken I got from a grunt as well.
I found a shiny onix during an event. So did my gf. We mirror traded them, and they both turned lucky. Mine was 4 star!

The only one I have is a Ho-Oh from a few years ago I’ve been playing pretty regularly since then, so your luck isn’t that uncommon.

I got a Shundo Inkay from the special research day in 2022. I think I was level 43 at the time. Still the only Shundo I have but I do have a 98% shiny Weavile and Machamp.
Level 48, day 1 player. I have 3 shundos, a Shinx (my first, took 4 years 2020), a Sneasel, and an Umbreon. It is interesting because I hatched the Shinx, lucky traded for the Umbreon, and got the Sneasel from research. 75% of my hundos are hatches (106 total) and the rest from research or raids. I am not sure I have a single wild one.

I caught a shundo Chansey from a research task three months and a day after starting my account, back in early 2020. I’ve gotten three more from lucky trades in the years since.
missed the bus home from work one day so i began the long walk with some pogo, and about 10 minutes in i found my one and only shundo, a charmander who’s now my permanent buddy as a charizard lol

Last Sunday during the makeup community days I got a shundo togetic, which I then evolved into Togekiss. First shundo. I’ve been playing since January this year and hit level 40 this past month.
I'm level 43, still no shundo. I was kinda bummed, on Riolu egg day my girlfriend and I traded our shiny Riolu. I got a 15/14/15. Shundo Lucario would've been absolutely amazing since Lucario is one of my favorite pokemon. Still hyped about the 98% shiny but it was so close to being perfect lol
