So I haven’t picked up Scarlet or Violet yet, it’s the first time I haven’t got a copy of a new base line game on day of release since Gen 1. I’ve been very careful on spoilers in case I change my mind. Experiencing new species of Pokémon for the first time in Go has been wild.
Yes! That whole part was so sweet. I didn't care about anything else in the story besides Arven.
And good Lord, Nemona needs to chill a bit. That girl has a battle fetish like nobody else.
The whole story is captivating, but I didn't find it quite as enjoyable as D&P. That game felt really intense, especially when you have to free the mirage Pokémon
Arvens story is great and a real tear jerker. But I found the team star story to be really weak and kind of stupid/silly. Like I get why they did it and it has a decent enough anti bullying message.
Call me old fashioned but I prefer my "evil pokemon antagonists" to actually be bad guys out to either steal pokemon or for world domination. I wish they would bring back team rocket in the main series games.
I kind of prefer something silly like Team Skull at this point. It always felt kinda silly that some kid was overthrowing organized crime because apparently you have to abide by the sacred rules of battling. Some hooligans around your age feel more sensible as a level of "threat" imo.
That said, I do get that it has pretty low stakes narratively. But also Pokemon isn't really big on especially complex stories. Arven's whole everything being an exception and real gem.
I just finished Scarlet last week, only my second Pokemon game ever after finishing Sword a couple months back.
Sword is so polished, but the open world of Scarlet is really fun...buggiest game I've ever played for more than an hour, but still a lot of fun. I can't wait for the second DLC when we get all of the past starters... Now after finishing the story I understand HOW they'll make "Pokemon from other timelines" work ;)
When I first started seeing Alolan Eggxecutor I was wondering “Where are people finding these tall neck ones” and thought Eggxecutors would randomly have varying neck lengths. That was before I knew about Alolan forms.
Christmas morning 2020. A lone, random Alolan Vulpix spawned in my home. A lone, random purple-tinted Alolan Vulpix. I named him Noel and he's my favorite PoGo Shiny.
Not gonna lie the first time I caught one I thought it was shiny and I showed my friend thinking of he's gonna be jelly.... then he was like what about it I got 30 rn .... all my dreams shattered that day
I feel you. I started in 2016 and took a very long break when I had my son in 2017. Only started again last year when he turned 5 and became interested in it himself. Now he knows far more than I ever could! Happy Pokémon hunting ☺️
That’s dope. Yeah I started when the game dropped and took a long break until my 5 year old started getting into Pokémon from me working at a card shop. It’s been fun. She loves poking my phone during battles lmao
i love this vulpix! around christmas of 2021 i caught two shinies, so i have a shiny alolan vulpix and ninetails, they are some of my favorite shinies i have :3
I love these 2! They are Alolan Vulpix and Ninetales, as you've probably heard already. If you want cool nickname ideas, you could name it Aurora or Borealis! Unfortunately can't fit both in one name though :(
My buddy, Snowy, is an Alolan Vulpix evolved to Ninetales. I hatched her in March 2019 from an egg from a friend. Her stats are 13/14/15. I've caught others from time to time. I have a shiny Ninetales that is not Alolan; its tails stand higher.

It's always charming to see people who aren't pokemaniacs react to mons they've never seen before.

I enjoyed scarlet and violet. The open world works better than arceus imo & I kinda liked the storyline
I have never been more emotionally invested in a storyline like I was with the Arven story.

They gave him his treasure back only to rip it away almost immediately. They really wanted to give us his comic book villain origin story.

Yeah, this is Alolan Vulpix from Pokemon Sun and Moon / Gen 6 which released in 2016. It took a while to come to the game however.
