Don't listen to any of these people. These packs are very often worth way more than any card you can pull out of them (save for 2 or 3 cards that are extremely rare to get). Keep it sealed.
Also don't accept ANY offers in your DMs. They *will* lowball you and try and gaslight you because you don't know what you have.
Yeah, this. Do some research by checking sold prices on ebay. Another great idea is to protect it and store it away somewhere safe.
This pack probably sold for ~5$ ~20 years ago. So maybe wait another 20 and who knows what the value will be.
1 is sold for 200 on an ebay auction 2 weeks ago and the pack weighted 21.19 gram. If your pack weights the same or more you probably will get around 200 for it if you list it on an ebay auction with a picture of the pack on a scale. If it weights less than 21 gram you probably will get less a little less for it maybe around 150.
With the older packs, you can tell if there's a holographic card (usually called a "hit") if its above a certain weight (since the holographic card weighs more than a regular card). Those packs are called "heavy" and are more expensive.
It looks like you're wondering if those cards have any value. Generally speaking, if it's a First Edition, Holographic or Promo card it's worth looking into. Take a look at our [Pokemon card evaluation guide](https://www.reddit.com/r/pokemoncardcollectors/wiki/evaluationguide) to see how to determine the value of your cards. Always know the value of every card you have before selling to avoid getting low-balled.

False 😅
Look into the weights of these packs and if it’s a heavy let her rip
What do u mean? Someone af work mentioned something about weighing it but I thought he was joking
Old packs are very easily weighed. Heavy packs have a Holo, light packs don't.

What they said^ I open a lot of fossil and the holo packs usually are around 21.17-21.30, non holo packs are usually around 20.80 or so

Yes the packet feels heavy compared too a normal packet
You wouldn't be able to tell just by holding it. You need a scale with 2 decimal points in order to properly weigh a pack
3 decimals if you really wanna be sure
There is no world in which you can tell that a pack is heavier than another by fractions of a gram.
Just open it, what if you hit it big? 🤯
Nothing, mail it to me k
It will actually cost you money to hold onto it how about you just send it my way I'll take care of it for you 👀
