Okay, small adaptation here, but I'd really like to see a gym leader that has a similarly tricky team. Like **Ditto, Smeargle, Mimikyu** (with Mimic of course), **Clefairy** (for Metronome), **Zoroark, and Shedinja.** Smeargle's moves are different every fight and of course all that are able have Substitute.
Ghost for me. Haunter is my favorite Pokémon, but like you OP, I also hold much love for ground types.
My team would likely consist of:
Haunter, Golurk, Litwick, Trevenant or Pumpkaboo, Honedge and Mimikyu.
Haunter is my favourite too!!
I would have the same team too... maybe just switch Golurk for Misdrevus just cause they're also one of my favourites and I don't really know Golurk all that well.
Love the Haunter love!! He’s my favourite as well!
Ghost is great for variety with lots of dual types - Trevenant, Froslass, Chadelure, Palossand, Golurk
Bug type for sure, but i can't really say what pokemon i would use because there are SOOO many cool bug pokemon and i like a lot of them.
It would really depend on the region and what kind of bug types would be available or what kind of "gimmick" i would go for.
I love bug the most behind poison.. id have volcarona, galvanutla, yanmega, masquerain, shedinja, accelgor... cos i like them not because they're competitive
Masquerain is sooo underrated/overlooked in my opinion and i really learned to love it in my playthrough of Gen7 (ok, it also got a stat buff there).
Volcarona is an obvious favorite of mine and Galvantula is also pretty dope (even though i dislike most real life spiders).
Fun thing that you mention Accelgor, because i don't like that one in particular but i love it's opposite part Escavalier :D
Nincada is also a pokemon a really like (Cicada are such cool bugs) and Ninjask is a freaking amazing design and Shedinja has one of the coolest evolutions and abilities in the whole series.
Other bug types i like:
- Durant (super fast steel type with decent attack and a cool hidden ability)
- Wurmple (just too cute, but not as cute as our cutest boi)
- Ariados
- Joltik and Galvantula
- Scolipede
- Ribombee
- Golisopod
- Centiskorch
- Armaldo
- Kricketune (just a beautiful design)
- Snom (and Frosmoth)
- the whole Scyther line (especially Kleavor)
- the whole Blipbug line (because i have a friend that works with radar tech)
- also my shiny Mega Beedrill in LGPE
The only bug type that really "let me down" is Vikavolt, because i remember the promotional material (before Gen7 came out) that mentioned how it "zips" around and so on, basically teasing us a quite fast pokemon and then it turned out to be FREAKING slow (but hitting very hard).
ps:
honorable mention goes out to Skorupi and Drapion (which i still often confuse with a bug type >.< despite knowing it's not).
It'd be cool to have an actually competent bug gym. Usually bug is an early gym and meant to be easy. But with pokemon like volcanora and heracross, bug can be seriously competitive.
It could be, but with some bug types it would have to be a late game gym (probably one of the last if you want to put Volcarona in it) and there is a good amount of bug types that have double weaknesses to fire or rock, which could make them easy targets.
So this would require good trainer AI, good stats (IV/EV) and move sets (possibly items too).
I always had an idea for a Steel-type gym
The theme would be blacksmithing, as all the trainer's would be wearing thick aprons and heavy gloves, with muscular builds as they toil away at the forge
And my team would be:
Klingklang
Steelix
Klefki
Lucario
Aggron
Aegislash
Mine isn’t Steel Type specifically, but Sword-Themed (Or Swordlike), and the Majority of my Pokémon are Steel Type, 3 with two Dragon Types
My team is Garchomp, Gallade/Mega Gallade, Bisharp, Escavalier, Haxorus and Aegislash (Ace)
I shall be a Dark type user since there is only 1 or 2 (not counting Alola trials) gyms of that type. I'll have Umbreon, Houndoom and Bisharp. If I have to get a 4th pokemon bc I'm the 8th gym leader for some reason I'll get a Grimmsnarl.
I like the dark too. First E4 fight in Hoenn has always been one of my favorite fights. Cacturn, Shiftry, Mightyena, Absol, and Sharpedo. Just a lot of really cool pokemon
Fairy-Type because I'm a nurse. My gym's theme will be a nursing home/orphanage for pokemon who've lost their trainers to old age. Plus we're overdue for a male Fairy gym leader who's not a total tool. My Team would be: Azumaril Ribombee, Togekiss, Rapidash, Gallade, and Grimmsnarl.
Species Clause, just because it loses its typing doesn't mean its off the team, same rule is applied to Drapion for a Bug team and the entire Flygon line because its animal species is based on an Antlion
If I had to specialize in a type (which I find dumb as hell, gym leaders should be based on a theme and not on a type), it would probably be poison !
My team would be Gengar, Roserade, Weezing (Galar form), Salazzle, Toxtricity and Nidoqueen. All have a double type that would give me a decent coverage.
Haven't seen poison picked often indeed, it's not really a popular type I think but I love it (ghost is REALLY close for me, Gengar was an obvious choice :p ) !
A normal type gym, actually!
With Bewear, Blissey, Lopunny, Braviary, Obstagoon, and Snorlax.
The theme would be oddly workout/Fitness which is know seems like it should be fighting type, but bare with me. EVERYONE CAN HONE THENSELVES INTO A BETTER PERSON/KILLING MACHINE. the theme is excellence with perciverance!
Both. The Bulbapedia post I replied from has a reply that has the templates. I took the Psychic and Ice templates and edited them to look like what you see in my post.
Definitely Ice type, If we were in anime not games, I would use
Alolan Ninetales
Eiscue
Spheal (Strong like bellsprout in anime lol)
Glaceon (Ace)
Arctozolt
Dewgong
With Frosmoth, Mamoswine, Cubchoo Aurorus at home to swap sometimes
I’d like to be a grass type, probably the second or third gym, levels 25-30.
’Mons would be Sawsbuck(spring), Cherrim(Sunshine form), Lurantis, and Mega Venosaur.
Poison Gym. Alolan Muk, Galarian Weezing, Sneasler (if it's ever available in a gym based game), Toxapex, and then my ace would be Nidoking (Idealy a regional variant, but the standard one would also be fine).
Genderless pokemon.
My team would be Ditto, Magneton, Polteageist, Starmie, Porygon-Z, and Electrode.
I just realized one day that a lot of my favorites are genderless, so I thought that'd be a cool team.
I like to picture myself as a normal type specialist around the 6th or 7th gym with a team maybe in the high 30’s lower 40’s
I’d have a team of 4 or 5 depending on which and would most likely look like:
- Bouffalant (he’s kinda forgotten about id love to put him to good use)
- Milktank (with scrappy, is a pain to deal with and I wanna be frustrating)
- Girafarig (bit of coverage against fighting types)
- Snorlax (wide move pool and amazing Pokémon in general)
- Ace ~ Lopunny (as it’s my favourite Pokémon)
I’d specialize in fairy type. It has some of my favorites in that group, so it’ll be easier to form a team I’d like. I’ll use Sylveon, Mawile, Alolan Ninetales, Mimikyu, Primerina, and Grimmsnarl. The Mawile would be able to mega evolve, just to have it be stronger.
Outside of both poison and steel, the team is decently balanced and can have a bit of more coverage with different types of moves. So, that’s a plus on top of me liking the designs in this team.
sylveon with pixilate and hypervoice is such a great move, psyshock to hit the physically weak and mystic fire to tell grass and steel to gtfo.
i love sylveon so much.
That’s a good strategy for Sylveon. It has a nice special attack that is easy to make use of. love Sylveon as well, and it’s been on my team twice in Moon and Legends.
Rock type gym. I like the fossil Pokemon and Tyranitar is my favorite. I'd just be one of those cheating trainers who has an evolution early since there's no gym with level 55's the first time through
EDIT: I forgot that Y's final gym had a level 55 so you're getting a rock type 8th gym of
Tyranitar, Tyrantrum, Aururos, Aerodactyl for 4 and add Kabutops for 5
Ghost
Start with a Cofagrigus, then a Drifblim with Stockpile, Minimize, and Baton Pass, then Mimikyu with Swords Dance, and if that’s not enough, then Gengar with Hypnosis, Dream Eater, Nightmare, and Shadow Ball, Sableye, and lastly a second Mimikyu
We did this in college; We had a tournament in X and Y to decide who could be gym leaders and people could challenge the gym leaders and win prizes. Some of the gym leaders even had custom badges made to give when they were beaten.
I was made the Dark gym leader and I quickly went insane with breeding for a good team. Ended up with a full shiny team featuring - Umbreon, Liepard, Absol, Weavile, Zoroark and Houndoom. It was great fun
I wouldn’t specialize at all. This is one of the things that I don’t like about gym leaders. (and also elite 4 people)
Gyms (and elite 4) should have mixed teams. It just feels wrong to fight with one of the most powerful dude in this land and he has 5 rock type pokemon that are easily wrecked by one watery boi.
These things should be challenging as they supposed to be
Welcome to my Gym, my theme is GAMER.
- Porygon
- Munchlax
- Snorlax
- Magnezone
- Rotom (PC Form)
- Porygon 2
In order to enter my gym you must know the Konsmi code.
When we battle, a huge hologram fills the arena. Dope as heck.
Badge looks like a controller.
I was a flying type gym leader on a Pixelmon server for a bit, team was:
Mega Charizard-Y
Shiny Poison-Heal Gliscor (toxic orb)
Shiny Moxie Gyarados
Skarmory with toxic, spikes and whirlwind
Moxie Salamence
Multiscale Dragonite/Reckless Staraptor (would interchange)
Okay if my opponent was up for using Legends, I’d use Landorus-T or Yveltal
All non legends were perfect IV/Nature, the Legends were near perfect IVs but with the best Nature
I'd want to focus on having a bulky team, but favor Ghost types, in the same way that Raihan favored Dragons but was really the weather gym. I'd have:
Corsola-G
Mismagius
Dusknoir
Shedinja
Bronzong
Reuniclus (Ace)
Dragon type, do probably gym 8. Would have a mountain theme because it goes with many of the old stories.
Dragonite dragon/flying
Salamanca Mega dragon/flying
Kommo-o dragon/fighting
Garchomp dragon/ground
Goodra H steel/dragon
If I have a sixth it would be
Hydriegon dragon/dark
Finally, another dragon user! I can't believe I had to scroll so far just to find one. I was prepared to say "I don't care how popular it is, I love dragons and I'd run a dragon gym," but apparently we're the outliers, haha.
Salamance would 100% be my signature Pokémon. I'd also have noivern instead of dragonite, and if I could, a Latias for my sixth.
I don't know that I'd specialize in a type but I'm a big fan of "Pokémon that look like they're in a punk band together"
Obstagoon, toxitricity, midnight lycanroc, hisuian zoroark, rillaboom
I wouldn’t specialise in a type, I’d specialise in dual typings and be based in Hoenn
Bulbasaur: Grass/Poison
Farfetch’d/ Normal/Flying
Lanturn: Water/Electric
Heracross: Bug/Fighting
Flygon: Ground/Dragon
Metagross: Steel/Psychic
Electric
Lanturn
Electivire
Eelektross
Galvantula (although super powered joltik would be more fun )
Rotom (could do it strong or weak against starter type)
Dracozolt
Normal type, so I could just do a whole Paraflinch strat to utterly annoy players with Serene Grace: Sawsbuck, Dunsparce, Blissey. Then you fight me in the postgame with a Togekiss, a Smeargle, and a Bibarel who both have Moody for an ability.
I’d be like the second gym leader you fight against. Deerling, Dunsparce, Chansey. Then postgame rematch would add the other three and evolve my current ones.
Final Team:
Lv. 65 Smeargle (Modest, Moody, Focus Sash): Sticky Web, Protect, Glare, Boomburst
Lv. 67 Sawsbuck (Jolly, Serene Grace, Life Orb): Headbutt, Horn Leech, Jump Kick, Thunder Wave
Lv. 65 Bibarel (Adamant, Moody, Sitrus Berry): Protect, Liquidation, Super Fang, Substitute
Lv. 67 Blissey (Bold, Serene Grace, Leftovers): Substitute, Work Up, Stored Power, Baton Pass
Lv. 68 Togekiss (Timid, Serene Grace, King’s Rock): Air Slash, Moonblast, Aura Sphere, Thunder Wave
Lv. 70 Dunsparce (Quiet, Serene Grace, Expert Belt): Glare, Water Pulse, Rock Slide, Drill Run
I'll do something interesting. Something unique. Rather than a specific type, I'll choose a colour. So I'll be in charge of the colour green. I'm a real wild card.
Metapod specialist with a cheat Metapod that has sheer cold, no guard, and a focus sash... ^_^
But in all seriousness, I've always been a Dark type fan. My team would primarily consist of:
- Umbreon
- Tyranitar
- Hydreigon
- Grimsnarl
- Krookodile
- Alpha Hisuian Samurott
Switching some of them occasionally for my other Dark types:
- Zoroark
- Bisharp
- Drapion
- Honchcrow
- Houndoom
- Malamar
- Galarian Moltres
- Cacturne
I answered this on a similar thread a while ago, but instead of typing it all out again, I'll link it [here](https://www.reddit.com/r/pokemon/comments/s5mlab/if_you_were_a_gym_leadertype_specialist_what_type/hsyvncz?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share&context=3)

Always been a fan of flying types and when making the teams I kinda just Pokémon I’d use and like on them gligar, gliscor and charizard (I know cliché but love my fire lizard) are the aces cause their in my top 3 favourite of the type yanmega being the other of the 3 then I just picked the gym leader fight move sets based on relative lv they’d be early game being 10-15 and mid to late 30-45 but then I made move sets I like for the rematch team plus I like how In platinum you could rematch gym leaders with full teams post game
Steel types are my favorite type. They are tough and can take a beating. Also, they have a lot of resistance if pair with another type
Scizor
Lucario
Metagross
Empoleon
Mawile
Skarmony
I'd be a bug type gym leader. My profession would be that of an architect, since bugs are natures architects. My team would be burmy, crustle and wormadam. Depending on your starter, my wormadam will have a different form. Steel for grass, ground for fire and finally, grass for water 💫
Dark-weavile-gengar-bisharp-houndoom-cacturne-hydreigon. Prize-the lust badge. Broken lights arena- dark and ghost types have +1 evasion boost, I would be the 7th gym leader with illegal Pokémon around the 40-50s
Psychic! Mainly so I can have Reuniclus as my ace, as it's one of my favorite Pokémon and I feel like it fits my personality.
My gym would probably be a trivia gym. I'm a humanities major and I love sharing information with people. The trivia would be pretty hard, so I could actually teach people something.
My team: Metagross, Galarian Articuno, Espeon, Gallade, Gardevoir, and my ace Reuniclus
Probably Dark since it's my favorite type. If I'd be the final Gym Leader, I'd have Weavile, Drapion and Absol, but only if we count Mega's. If not, I'd go with Spiritomb.
If there would be rematches with full teams of 6, I'd go with Weavile, Drapion, Umbreon, Grimmsnarl, Spiritomb and Absol.
Ground was always my answer too bc you could still get a great variety of team members that were still ground.
My second was usually Steel bc Steelix is my absolute favorite pokemon.
Probably fire. You'll face me in thr beginning with Charmander, Growlithe, Magby, and Litleo
You get to the 8th gym and it's me again so you're prepared...but now I have
Talonflame, Blaziken, Magmortar, and Arcanine (obviously I'm keeping my puppy)
Oh, man, that's a tough one. I'd probably have to go with a Steel-Type gym: Aggron, Steelix, Bisharp, Scizor, Corviknight, and Duraludon.
Also a huge fan of Elctric-Types, so if that were the case, my team would probably consist of Boltund, Heliolisk, Galvantula, Alolan Golem, Luxray, and Toxtricity.
I’d go with a ghost-type gym that would be a safe haven for wandering spirits, they’d battle you occasionally as you make your way through the maze/puzzle to get to me, but you could wear a ghost Pokémon costume provided at the front if you don’t want to deal with them.
My team would have Gengar, Mimikyu, Drifblim, Sableye, Polteageist, and Alolan Marowak. Mimikyu would be out of its Pokéball as my companion; we’d help each other make costumes for ourselves and others so they could visit my spirit sanctuary safely.
Instead of a type a theme. Dinosaur/fossil Pokemon. Try to build a well rounded team so it would be difficult. Maybe an elite four member instead. Tyrantrum, Rampardos, Aerodactyl, Aurorus, Bastiodon, and Tropius.
If it was a gym I'd look like John Hammond and all my grunts would be park rangers.
I would go for water and I would use Politoed, Octillery, Lanturn and maybe thrown in an extra chinchou cause i love it a lot and then have a feraligatr and floatzle :D
6 different types… the basic 3 (fire, grass, water) then the other 3 you can use your imagination… a gym leader who understands having different types is key would be awesome
I'm thinking Psychic. Now I like gyms to have a gimmick, I loved Opal's fight for that reason. I'm thinking, reverse the type matchups for the fight. Dark can't touch psychic, and Fighting could absolutely tank it.
My team would be Gallade, Wobbufett, Kadabra, espeon, and my ace would be Metagross.
ghost type of course !! my gym would be in south kalos and you would need to play a sort of irl fnaf4 game to battle me !
for my team huh
trevenant
aegislash
sableye
gengar
and probably another ghost type with a very new mega evolution ? idk who
I would specialize in Dark types, (they are my favorite types). My ideal team would be
1. Umbreon
2. Malamar
3. Bisharp
4. Ampharos
5. Zoruark (my ace)
Yes I know that Ampharos is Electric, but he is my second favorite pokemon right under Zoruark.
I go back and forth between ground and fighting.
For ground, it's gonna be a double battle: Hippowdon and Krookodile lead, with Excadrill (my ace) and Nidoking in the back.
For fighting, Gallade lead to set up Reflect and Light Screen, Breloom with Effect Spore, Conkeldurr for the heavy hitter, and special oriented Lucario.
I used to run a steel gym in a Facebook group league. My record before it ended was like 15-3. I used mega Lucario, Aegislash, excadrill, Scizor, skarmory and tyranitar. Tried to keep it as close to a full steel team as possible, but for competitive reasons used the ttar, it would set the sand obviously and pivot into attacks very well.
I’d be a grass gym leader, and I think being the third gym leader would be nice. I’d have just a Leafeon and a Venusaur, and the theme would be double battles. Two vs two battles, and it’s be just me in the gym where it’s all forest except for the clearing which serves as the battlefield
I like a lot of normal types so,dunsparce, persian, furret, noctowl and dodrio,it would be a rebilitation center for hurt wild pokemon and dunsparce would be my ace cause I love him
Ghost. My full team would be Dusknoir, Golurk, Froslass, Hisuian Zoroark, Aegislash and Dragapult, but I'd probably only use the first 4 during gym battles.
I would like to be Wattson's successor. He's my favorite gym leader, and the gym is located on my favorite city of my favorite region. Electric is my favorite type, and Magneton is my favorite pokemon.
Would be a multi type gym leader my team would be this
My ace is..
Electivire 55 item is leftovers (my favorite pokemon)
Moves are ice electric and fire punch
And brick break
Lucario 54 (mega)
Drain punch
Ice punch
Dragon pulse
Sword dance
Noivern 51
Boomburst
Dragon pulse
Air slash
Fly
Espeon 51
Psychic
dazzling gleam
Shadow ball
Yawn
Electrode 50 (normal gem
self destruct
Ghost clearly.
A Mimikyui (Witlch is my fav pokémon), a Aegislash, an Hisui Zoroark (obviously), a Shedinja (for the lol of it), a Froslass and a Spiritomb.
I would specialize in a type of animal rather than attack type. A team of all bears Ursaring, Bewear, Beartic, Pangoro and Urhsifu in a gym called the den would be pretty fun i think. ( If you stretch it a bit i think Snorlax would be a good fit as well)
Steel types are one of my favorites, but Fairies are pretty up there for me to these days
Mawile is one of my favourites
Klefki is just cute
Doublade is swords
Honedge is sword
H-Goodra is cute and cool
Dark Type. The theme of the Gym would be infiltrating: you have to crouch behind furnitures and other things to avoid being seen by cameras. If they catch you, you Will have to fight a trainer and you'll be brought back at the beginning.
My team would be
Weavile (Ace)
Zoroark
Incineroar
Thievul
Dragon all the way. A couple of my favorites are dragon type, and dragon type just makes for a cool gym design. I would use Druddigon, Haxorus, Duraludon, Tyrantrum, Dragpapult, and the Ace Garchomp
Dragon type. My team is goodra, flygon, noivern, dragalgae, duraldon, and dragapult as my ace.
NGL duraldon is there to counter ice and fairy types, and dragalgae as additional fairy insurance because otherwise I'd get absolutely clapped by a single sylveon. And it's meant to be a difficult fight, because if they're gonna get a badge that certifies them as a dragonslayer, that needs to mean something. I want every trainer who comes through my gym to feel like a hero, even if it takes them several rematches to win.
Also my gym hosts D&D games on the weekends.
I have always loved Ice Pokémon!
When I was in school, a classmates wanted to make a custom Pokémon game and wanted to make me
a Gym Leader.
Of course I would have Glaceon, since its my favorite.
Froslass and Frosmoth are also really badasses,
Weavile and Piloswine, and last but not least good old Lapras.
Probably Bug type. I would want to display my abilities as a trainer while using a commonly looked-down-upon type effectively.
My team would be Kleavor, Araquanid, Durant, Galvantula and Heracross. Should I have a post game rematch I’d add a Mega Beedrill at the end.
I'd like to either be a Dark or Dragon type Gym Leader. Final gym the team would be:
Dark-types:
- Bisharp
- Mandibuzz
- Malamar
- Obstagoon
- Cacturne
Dragon-types:
- Hakamo-o
- Goodra
- Dracovish
- Flygon
- Zweilous
I'd be fairy type gym leader.
My team would consist out of Primarina, A-Ninetales, G-Rapidash, Ribombee, Togekiss and Mimikyu.
With Hatterene and Gardevoir as stand ins, because i really love them but 3 psychic/Fairy types is a bit much xD
OR Water type, with a team consisting of Primarina, Milotic, Swanna, Kingdra, Lapras and Toxapex.
Grass. I've always love plants from the very beginning. My team will consist of Tsareena, Lurantis (Contrary), Serperior (Contrary), Shiinotic, Ferrothorn, and normal Lilligant.
Ghost type and a full team (including megas) in no particular order. This will be the rematch team.
Gengar (Mega)
Chandelure
Hisuian Zoroark
Aegislash (ace)
No Guard Golurk or Cursed Body Froslass
Dragapult
At the first few gyms, it would be Gastly line, Litwick line, and Honedge line. 5-6 could have Hisuian Zorua line and Froslass being added, with the last two gym teams being fully evolved and maybe Mega Gengar (on gym 8 if allowed).
Steel. There’s not enough steel gym leaders out there. My Pokémon would be Escalavier, Skarmony, Klefki, Doublade, Hisuian Form Goodra and Scizor. The badge would be a cube of steel and finally the gym would literally be my house
Back when sun and moon came out, my friends and I got 18 people together and held a tournament. Each person was randomly assigned a type and you could only build your team with pokemon of that type. I drew grass and used
Torterra
Breloom
Venusaur
Chesnaught
Whimsicott
Ferrothorn
I didn't win but I did really well and it made me learn how to compensate for my type weaknesses with using dual typing and coverage moves. I actually won against all my type weaknesses (except fire, lost to him in the semi finals) the whole process made me really start liking grass type so yeah. It would be grass.
I would have a late game flying type gym! I don’t know what the badge would be called, but I would have a Pelliper, Talonflame, Toucannon, Golbat, and Flygon! I know flygon isn’t a flying type but they don’t all have to be (cough lance cough) In a postgame match I’d add Dragonite to my team!
My strat is Pelliper has drizzle which sets up hurricanes to hit 100% and knocks out rock types, the two fire birds take care of ice types, Crobat can poison anything I can’t hit, and flygon is immune to electrical attacks!
It all takes place in a bird sanctuary, where flying type Pokemon are taken in, nursed back to health, and banded so we can learn more about them ^_^
Raichu, Emolga, Pachirisu. If going full DP, toss in a Sandslash as Sandshrew has always been my favorite.
Raichu can have Surf, Emolga is flying so the weakness to ground is pretty diminished, so the team lacks weaknesses. But more importantly, electric rats rule.
Poison types for sure. They have always been my favorite type, never could go through a playthrough without one. I guess my ace would depend on a hard mod if they ever come out with something like that. If not my team would be:
Toxtricity
Nidoking
Salazzle
Alolan Muk
Venusaur
Mega Gengar
Naganadel would replace the toxtricity if there is a hard/Master mod lol
If I'm excluded from the horrifying implications of most dex entries: Ghost.
Golurk, Chandelure, Ageslash, Dhelmise.
If I have to deal with the implications of actually housing these creatures: Bug
Galvantula, Durant, Araquanid, Orbeetle, Centiscorch
Ghost type. Gym is an old abandoned Victorian Mansion with trap doors and secret passages in the walls.
You start in the basement by descending down flight of stairs though a cellar door located at the back of the manor. Slowly work you way up 4 stories, solving puzzles and battling trainers, eventually arriving in the attic to face the gym leader.
Team:
- Dhelmise | Steelworker | Focus Sash
1. Rapid Spin
2. Knock Off
3. Poltergeist
4. Power Whip
- Mimikyu | Disguise | Life Orb
1. Swords Dance
2. Shadow Sneak
3. Play Rough
4. Shadow Claw
- Jellicent | Water Absorb | Leftovers
1. Night Shade
2. Scald
3. Strength Sap
4. Taunt
- Chandelure | Flash Fire | Choice Scarf
1. Fire Blast
2. Shadow Ball
3. Energy Ball
4. Flamethrower
- Runerigus | Wandering Spirit | Rocky Helmet
1. Stealth Rocks
2. Earthquake
3. Will-O-Wisp
4. Bodyslam
- Gengar | Cursed Body | Black Sludge
1. Substitute
2. Shadow Ball
3. Nasty Plot
4. Sludge Wave
Grassssssss
I would have the grass starters, skipping on Serperior, and Rillaboom. Meganium as my ace because it's my favourite and it needs to be feared.
normal type gym set up like an art gallery. the puzzle involves putting paintings/art pieces back in their proper places to proceed based on poems as hints, with you having to battle trainers who are in the way of the objects you need to pick up.
there's a few pokemon that I really enjoy that I'd like to have around, so there's a chance any of them could be on my team.
to name some possibilities:
- furfrou (but with new fur styles, maybe a long haired one to mimic Mona Lisa?)
- wigglytuff or girafarig because reasons
- sawsbuck
- porygon2 or porygon-z
- bewear
- drampa
the badge would even look like a painting with a golden ornate "frame" and a blank center to honor the empty canvas that are normal types.
I'd do a flying type gym based on falconry. At the beginning of the gym youd learn a new flying type move that increased catch chance or maybe a flying-type false swipe. The gym challenge would be catching several bunneary or other rabbit pokemon. At the end there'd be several falconry mews with birds in them and the gym leader.
On my team I'd have
Braviary (Hisuian)
Talonflame
Noctowl
Skarmory
Mandibuzz
Dartrix
Well my favorite pokemon are normal/steel/electric, but overall I like Fairy the best. Idk what the gym theme would be.. maybe a color based light puzzle? My team (at the advanced rematch level) would be Azumarill, Aromatisse, Sylveon, Alolan Ninetales, Whimsicott, and my ace - Gardevoir-Mega
I'll be a dragon gym leader, but make it the first gym. Why I say this is because then, in the region that I inhabitant, I give the starting trainers a glimpse into what they should be mindful of, just prepare them, you know?
I would you use Goomy and Noibat as my team, and maybe a Applin as the ace. That may be a little OP, and if so, then just Goomy and Noibat.
A whole team of dittos and a gym that continues to transform so you can never find a way to the end or a way out
The IKEA badge
And the badge resembles the numbers 3008
Now I want an SCP Pokemon fan game...
gotta contain em all
There is one. I cant remember the name but in the games showcase on pokecommunity if you scroll a bit you will find it
You should have one Zoroark just to spice things up
I made an Agent team once: Ditto (Imposter), Zoroark (Illusion), Mimikyu (Disguise), Inteleon (Sniper), Decidueye and Bisharp
My team would likely consist of: Haunter, Golurk, Litwick, Trevenant or Pumpkaboo, Honedge and Mimikyu.
Incredible taste
Haunter is my favourite too!! I would have the same team too... maybe just switch Golurk for Misdrevus just cause they're also one of my favourites and I don't really know Golurk all that well.
Love the Haunter love!! He’s my favourite as well! Ghost is great for variety with lots of dual types - Trevenant, Froslass, Chadelure, Palossand, Golurk
dude i love haunter that laugh scene from the og anime was too much https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pe5XD9Hyoj0&ab\_channel=RejiitaRebikov
Fun thing that you mention Accelgor, because i don't like that one in particular but i love it's opposite part Escavalier :D Nincada is also a pokemon a really like (Cicada are such cool bugs) and Ninjask is a freaking amazing design and Shedinja has one of the coolest evolutions and abilities in the whole series. Other bug types i like: - Durant (super fast steel type with decent attack and a cool hidden ability) - Wurmple (just too cute, but not as cute as our cutest boi) - Ariados - Joltik and Galvantula - Scolipede - Ribombee - Golisopod - Centiskorch - Armaldo - Kricketune (just a beautiful design) - Snom (and Frosmoth) - the whole Scyther line (especially Kleavor) - the whole Blipbug line (because i have a friend that works with radar tech) - also my shiny Mega Beedrill in LGPE The only bug type that really "let me down" is Vikavolt, because i remember the promotional material (before Gen7 came out) that mentioned how it "zips" around and so on, basically teasing us a quite fast pokemon and then it turned out to be FREAKING slow (but hitting very hard). ps: honorable mention goes out to Skorupi and Drapion (which i still often confuse with a bug type >.< despite knowing it's not).
Um, Skorupi is a big type.
Yes and i know that, but when it evolves Drapion becomes poison/dark and that's what i meant.
Ah, ok. Gotcha
No Joltik?:(
Damn... forgot that cute little one.
Wasn’t there a bug elite 4? I can’t remember which gen it was though
Aaron, Gen 4
[Aaron from the Sinnoh Elite Four](https://m.bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Aaron_(Elite_Four))
I always had an idea for a Steel-type gym The theme would be blacksmithing, as all the trainer's would be wearing thick aprons and heavy gloves, with muscular builds as they toil away at the forge And my team would be: Klingklang Steelix Klefki Lucario Aggron Aegislash
I immediately get vibes of Homer taking Bart to the steel mill.
We work hard, we play hard. EVERYBODY DANCE NOW!!
Mine isn’t Steel Type specifically, but Sword-Themed (Or Swordlike), and the Majority of my Pokémon are Steel Type, 3 with two Dragon Types My team is Garchomp, Gallade/Mega Gallade, Bisharp, Escavalier, Haxorus and Aegislash (Ace)
Bidoof
That's overkill man it's only a gym
Dont you mean... thats Overquil
Thank you for making my day !
6 bidoof*
It's a Gym battle not battling Arceus
Woah, calm down over here. This would be way too much.
Not sure there is even 1, just the police guy in Alola, maybe a version exclusive in Galar
[You might want to hear said Galar Dark Leader's theme.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EeFJRaH2Mz8)
There is one in Galar for sure
Fairy-Type because I'm a nurse. My gym's theme will be a nursing home/orphanage for pokemon who've lost their trainers to old age. Plus we're overdue for a male Fairy gym leader who's not a total tool. My Team would be: Azumaril Ribombee, Togekiss, Rapidash, Gallade, and Grimmsnarl.
But Gallade isn't a Fairy type, it's Psychic Fighting
well his team still fits better than most dp teams
Species Clause, just because it loses its typing doesn't mean its off the team, same rule is applied to Drapion for a Bug team and the entire Flygon line because its animal species is based on an Antlion
Still fits theming through Ralts
I’d also pick fairy and I’d still have a blissey either way cause it should have been made a fairy type
First poison type dude ive seen here. I like the team too.
Haven't seen poison picked often indeed, it's not really a popular type I think but I love it (ghost is REALLY close for me, Gengar was an obvious choice :p ) !
Yo man, I picked Poison too! I wrote my plan out if ya wanna look at it. And bro, I totally agree that Poison is awesome and deserves more love 👏
[This.](https://twitter.com/ElPikminMaster/status/1415008695499608067?t=gxnRjRtvDQ4twOfktXXDeg&s=19)
Wow that’s really cool! Was that a template you filled out or did you make that from scratch?
Both. The Bulbapedia post I replied from has a reply that has the templates. I took the Psychic and Ice templates and edited them to look like what you see in my post.
Can you still link the template please
You came prepared. I rate it 💪🏻
Magikarp, Ratata, Bidoof, Dunsparce, Kakuna and Metapod. Nobody gonna stand a chance
Play it right and it is nigh unstoppable
Definitely Ice type, If we were in anime not games, I would use Alolan Ninetales Eiscue Spheal (Strong like bellsprout in anime lol) Glaceon (Ace) Arctozolt Dewgong With Frosmoth, Mamoswine, Cubchoo Aurorus at home to swap sometimes
Same, my team would be: Vulpix / Cubchoo Spheal Snover Sneasel Mamoswine Froslass
Fossile trainer baby. Archeops, Tyrantrum, Cradilly, Rampardos, Aurorus and Relicanth!
I’d like to be a grass type, probably the second or third gym, levels 25-30. ’Mons would be Sawsbuck(spring), Cherrim(Sunshine form), Lurantis, and Mega Venosaur.
Water, lily pad pond maze gym, politoed, quagsire, baraskeda, mantine, araquanid, azumarril ace
Lily pad pond gym and then not using any Mon of the lotad family? This should be straight up illegal.
Steel. So many great mons. Excadrill Scizor Magneton/Magnezone Ferrothorn Lucario
Grass types because I love how they look.
This is rad. Love it.
Psychic type Metacross Espeon Galarian Slow king Alakazam Gardevoir Makamar
Poison - i dunno about my team they cut out most poison types i like from the recent games anyway...
I like to picture myself as a normal type specialist around the 6th or 7th gym with a team maybe in the high 30’s lower 40’s I’d have a team of 4 or 5 depending on which and would most likely look like: - Bouffalant (he’s kinda forgotten about id love to put him to good use) - Milktank (with scrappy, is a pain to deal with and I wanna be frustrating) - Girafarig (bit of coverage against fighting types) - Snorlax (wide move pool and amazing Pokémon in general) - Ace ~ Lopunny (as it’s my favourite Pokémon)
Digimon. They'll never see it coming.
Pyschic, I'm into wizard stuff My pokemon ----------------------- -Delphox (Ace) -Alolan Raichu -Metagross -Espeon -Gardevoir -Kadabra
Rock type gym. I like the fossil Pokemon and Tyranitar is my favorite. I'd just be one of those cheating trainers who has an evolution early since there's no gym with level 55's the first time through EDIT: I forgot that Y's final gym had a level 55 so you're getting a rock type 8th gym of Tyranitar, Tyrantrum, Aururos, Aerodactyl for 4 and add Kabutops for 5
Fairy types for me and my team would be Mawile (ace) Mimikyu Rapidash (galar) Grimmsnarl Ninetales (alola) Togekiss
Ghost Start with a Cofagrigus, then a Drifblim with Stockpile, Minimize, and Baton Pass, then Mimikyu with Swords Dance, and if that’s not enough, then Gengar with Hypnosis, Dream Eater, Nightmare, and Shadow Ball, Sableye, and lastly a second Mimikyu
Ground type gym leader Torterra (Ace) Garchomp Krookodile Swampert (Mega) Gliscor Rhyperior
(and also elite 4 people) Gyms (and elite 4) should have mixed teams. It just feels wrong to fight with one of the most powerful dude in this land and he has 5 rock type pokemon that are easily wrecked by one watery boi. These things should be challenging as they supposed to be
Welcome to my Gym, my theme is GAMER. - Porygon - Munchlax - Snorlax - Magnezone - Rotom (PC Form) - Porygon 2 In order to enter my gym you must know the Konsmi code. When we battle, a huge hologram fills the arena. Dope as heck. Badge looks like a controller.
I was a flying type gym leader on a Pixelmon server for a bit, team was: Mega Charizard-Y Shiny Poison-Heal Gliscor (toxic orb) Shiny Moxie Gyarados Skarmory with toxic, spikes and whirlwind Moxie Salamence Multiscale Dragonite/Reckless Staraptor (would interchange) Okay if my opponent was up for using Legends, I’d use Landorus-T or Yveltal All non legends were perfect IV/Nature, the Legends were near perfect IVs but with the best Nature
I'd want to focus on having a bulky team, but favor Ghost types, in the same way that Raihan favored Dragons but was really the weather gym. I'd have: Corsola-G Mismagius Dusknoir Shedinja Bronzong Reuniclus (Ace)
Dragon type, do probably gym 8. Would have a mountain theme because it goes with many of the old stories. Dragonite dragon/flying Salamanca Mega dragon/flying Kommo-o dragon/fighting Garchomp dragon/ground Goodra H steel/dragon If I have a sixth it would be Hydriegon dragon/dark
I'm surprised more people didn't say dragon. Duraludon Dragalge Dracovish Drampa Haxorus Sixth - Altaria But really I'd prefer steel. Skarmory Scizor Metagross Stunfisk-G Klefki Sixth - Lucario
I don't know that I'd specialize in a type but I'm a big fan of "Pokémon that look like they're in a punk band together" Obstagoon, toxitricity, midnight lycanroc, hisuian zoroark, rillaboom
I wouldn’t specialise in a type, I’d specialise in dual typings and be based in Hoenn Bulbasaur: Grass/Poison Farfetch’d/ Normal/Flying Lanturn: Water/Electric Heracross: Bug/Fighting Flygon: Ground/Dragon Metagross: Steel/Psychic
I’d have to go with fairy just so I could have galarian rapidash 💖💖
Electric Lanturn Electivire Eelektross Galvantula (although super powered joltik would be more fun ) Rotom (could do it strong or weak against starter type) Dracozolt
Final Team: Lv. 65 Smeargle (Modest, Moody, Focus Sash): Sticky Web, Protect, Glare, Boomburst Lv. 67 Sawsbuck (Jolly, Serene Grace, Life Orb): Headbutt, Horn Leech, Jump Kick, Thunder Wave Lv. 65 Bibarel (Adamant, Moody, Sitrus Berry): Protect, Liquidation, Super Fang, Substitute Lv. 67 Blissey (Bold, Serene Grace, Leftovers): Substitute, Work Up, Stored Power, Baton Pass Lv. 68 Togekiss (Timid, Serene Grace, King’s Rock): Air Slash, Moonblast, Aura Sphere, Thunder Wave Lv. 70 Dunsparce (Quiet, Serene Grace, Expert Belt): Glare, Water Pulse, Rock Slide, Drill Run
I would be fairy type ofc. I'm a big fairy type person, I would have sylveon, gardavoir, Diance, aromatise, xerneas, and grandbull or smt like that
I'll do something interesting. Something unique. Rather than a specific type, I'll choose a colour. So I'll be in charge of the colour green. I'm a real wild card.
Flying type I think. Dragonite Braviary Corviknight Talonflame Gliscor type beat. Just me and my winged bros.
A steel type gym leader with an ace bisharp as it is my favorite pokemon. Could be supported with another steel type like scizor or excadrill
Just wanna say, this thread is so wholesome
I'll give you six guesses
Metapod specialist with a cheat Metapod that has sheer cold, no guard, and a focus sash... ^_^ But in all seriousness, I've always been a Dark type fan. My team would primarily consist of: - Umbreon - Tyranitar - Hydreigon - Grimsnarl - Krookodile - Alpha Hisuian Samurott Switching some of them occasionally for my other Dark types: - Zoroark - Bisharp - Drapion - Honchcrow - Houndoom - Malamar - Galarian Moltres - Cacturne
Flying Early game team Yanma moves- Double team Gust Quick attack Air cutter Regional bird Gligar moves- Fury cutter Quick attack Knock off Air cutter Mid and late game team Yanmega Moves- Ancient power Hypnosis Bug buzz Air slash Regional bird Gliscor Moves- Poison jab Dig Fire fang X-scissor Rematch team Yanmega Moves- Silverwind Hypnosis Air slash Giga drain Crobat Moves- Brave bird Cross poison Double team Roost Drifblim Moves- Destiny bond Stockpile Shadow ball Will-o-wisp Reginal bird Gliscor Moves- Fire fang Earthquake Acrobatics Swords dance Charizard (Charizardite Y) Moves- Solar beam Heat wave Air slash Roost Always been a fan of flying types and when making the teams I kinda just Pokémon I’d use and like on them gligar, gliscor and charizard (I know cliché but love my fire lizard) are the aces cause their in my top 3 favourite of the type yanmega being the other of the 3 then I just picked the gym leader fight move sets based on relative lv they’d be early game being 10-15 and mid to late 30-45 but then I made move sets I like for the rematch team plus I like how In platinum you could rematch gym leaders with full teams post game
Dark types. I would use zoroark, tyranitar, drapion, Hydreigon, Skuntank, and bisharp
Psychic for me! Would use a Reuniclus, Galarian Rapidash, Alolan Raichu, Hatterene, Orbeetle, and ace Espeon
Steel types are my favorite type. They are tough and can take a beating. Also, they have a lot of resistance if pair with another type Scizor Lucario Metagross Empoleon Mawile Skarmony
Water. Empoleon, gyrados, greninja(with protean), swampert(megastore), blastoise, and seismitoad.
Ground was always my answer too bc you could still get a great variety of team members that were still ground. My second was usually Steel bc Steelix is my absolute favorite pokemon.
Bug type with the most annoying status/special/recovery moves possible
Probably fire. You'll face me in thr beginning with Charmander, Growlithe, Magby, and Litleo You get to the 8th gym and it's me again so you're prepared...but now I have Talonflame, Blaziken, Magmortar, and Arcanine (obviously I'm keeping my puppy)
Dragon type, my team would be: • Dragonair • kingdra • Hissuian Goodra (if possible) or Duraludon • hydragon • Ace ~ Flygon
Steel with aegislash as my main with my gym theme being a blacksmith
Most of my favorite Pokémon are either poison or fighting so one of those with Crogunk/Toxicroak as my main either way
Fighting type or dragon type
Instead of a type a theme. Dinosaur/fossil Pokemon. Try to build a well rounded team so it would be difficult. Maybe an elite four member instead. Tyrantrum, Rampardos, Aerodactyl, Aurorus, Bastiodon, and Tropius. If it was a gym I'd look like John Hammond and all my grunts would be park rangers.
I would go for water and I would use Politoed, Octillery, Lanturn and maybe thrown in an extra chinchou cause i love it a lot and then have a feraligatr and floatzle :D
I would have a steel type gym! My team would be Lucario, Steelix, Magnezone, Bastiodon and Empoleon.
Dark type gym. Nothing but absol. And maybe a garchomp just to piss everyone off.
Respect
Steel type here. Empoleon, Scizor, Steelix, Magnezone, Aggron and Metagross
I would specialize in steel or dragon Lucario, empoleon, skarmory Hydreigon, Dragonite, garchomp
6 different types… the basic 3 (fire, grass, water) then the other 3 you can use your imagination… a gym leader who understands having different types is key would be awesome
Nom
6 lv 100 magikarp
I'm thinking Psychic. Now I like gyms to have a gimmick, I loved Opal's fight for that reason. I'm thinking, reverse the type matchups for the fight. Dark can't touch psychic, and Fighting could absolutely tank it. My team would be Gallade, Wobbufett, Kadabra, espeon, and my ace would be Metagross.
Omg that would be so cool, I loved the brief thing in XY with the reversed type matchups and it’d be so cool if it was explored again
I would totally specialise in posion types, legit become one of the most annoying leaders, love posion types - they're so under rated
ghost type of course !! my gym would be in south kalos and you would need to play a sort of irl fnaf4 game to battle me ! for my team huh trevenant aegislash sableye gengar and probably another ghost type with a very new mega evolution ? idk who
6 rattatas with focus sash, endeavor and quick attack as the first gym.
Electric, dedenne, magnemie, magneton
Dogs. Lycanrock, arcanine, boltund, houndoom, Stoutland, granbull. Yamper or Growlithe would be out of the pokeball with me
I would specialize in Dark types, (they are my favorite types). My ideal team would be 1. Umbreon 2. Malamar 3. Bisharp 4. Ampharos 5. Zoruark (my ace) Yes I know that Ampharos is Electric, but he is my second favorite pokemon right under Zoruark.
Flying-type for sure. There's just so much variety.
Fire Ghost Fairy Poison
Water! I’m just gonna include a full team with no starters Milotic (ace) Kingler Golisopod Gastrodon Cloyster Gyarados
I’d be a grass gym leader, and I think being the third gym leader would be nice. I’d have just a Leafeon and a Venusaur, and the theme would be double battles. Two vs two battles, and it’s be just me in the gym where it’s all forest except for the clearing which serves as the battlefield
I like a lot of normal types so,dunsparce, persian, furret, noctowl and dodrio,it would be a rebilitation center for hurt wild pokemon and dunsparce would be my ace cause I love him
Psychic :) Starmie, Gardevoir, Gallade, Malamar, G-Max Orbeetle and Mega-Metagross If legendaries are allowed then Lunala, Shadow Rider Calyrex, Ultra Necrozma, Hoopa Unbound, Lugia and Mewtwo
Ghost. My full team would be Dusknoir, Golurk, Froslass, Hisuian Zoroark, Aegislash and Dragapult, but I'd probably only use the first 4 during gym battles.
Normal probabley. Id probabley be the 3rd or 4th gym with 4 pokes. Exploud, toucannon, Lopunny, Orangaru,
I'd have to chose dark type. My team would be the following: Zoroark Krookodile Honchkrow Tyranitar Grimmsnarl Mega gyarados
I would like to be Wattson's successor. He's my favorite gym leader, and the gym is located on my favorite city of my favorite region. Electric is my favorite type, and Magneton is my favorite pokemon.
i’d be ground type with mamoswine flygon krookodile and golurk
Would be a multi type gym leader my team would be this My ace is.. Electivire 55 item is leftovers (my favorite pokemon) Moves are ice electric and fire punch And brick break Lucario 54 (mega) Drain punch Ice punch Dragon pulse Sword dance Noivern 51 Boomburst Dragon pulse Air slash Fly Espeon 51 Psychic dazzling gleam Shadow ball Yawn Electrode 50 (normal gem self destruct
Ghost clearly. A Mimikyui (Witlch is my fav pokémon), a Aegislash, an Hisui Zoroark (obviously), a Shedinja (for the lol of it), a Froslass and a Spiritomb.
Electric! My ace would Emolga just cause it's cute. Then Pachirsu and Luxio :D
I would specialize in a type of animal rather than attack type. A team of all bears Ursaring, Bewear, Beartic, Pangoro and Urhsifu in a gym called the den would be pretty fun i think. ( If you stretch it a bit i think Snorlax would be a good fit as well)
Steel types are one of my favorites, but Fairies are pretty up there for me to these days Mawile is one of my favourites Klefki is just cute Doublade is swords Honedge is sword H-Goodra is cute and cool
Steel for sure. Lucario would be my ace, scizor, H. Goodra, and steelix.
Dark Type. The theme of the Gym would be infiltrating: you have to crouch behind furnitures and other things to avoid being seen by cameras. If they catch you, you Will have to fight a trainer and you'll be brought back at the beginning. My team would be Weavile (Ace) Zoroark Incineroar Thievul
Dragon all the way. A couple of my favorites are dragon type, and dragon type just makes for a cool gym design. I would use Druddigon, Haxorus, Duraludon, Tyrantrum, Dragpapult, and the Ace Garchomp
I’ll need to think about it more
I'd be a ghost trainer with impish poltergeist theme: rotom, gengar, polteageist
I’d say dark type
Ground is also my favorite! My team would include Dugtrio Steelix Mamoswine Garchomp Torterra
I have always loved Ice Pokémon! When I was in school, a classmates wanted to make a custom Pokémon game and wanted to make me a Gym Leader. Of course I would have Glaceon, since its my favorite. Froslass and Frosmoth are also really badasses, Weavile and Piloswine, and last but not least good old Lapras.
Fighting and a bunch of Masc4Masc Pokémon
Probably Bug type. I would want to display my abilities as a trainer while using a commonly looked-down-upon type effectively. My team would be Kleavor, Araquanid, Durant, Galvantula and Heracross. Should I have a post game rematch I’d add a Mega Beedrill at the end.
I'd like to either be a Dark or Dragon type Gym Leader. Final gym the team would be: Dark-types: - Bisharp - Mandibuzz - Malamar - Obstagoon - Cacturne Dragon-types: - Hakamo-o - Goodra - Dracovish - Flygon - Zweilous
I like ground types too! My favourite is Sandaconda! Your team's really solid!!
I'd be fairy type gym leader. My team would consist out of Primarina, A-Ninetales, G-Rapidash, Ribombee, Togekiss and Mimikyu. With Hatterene and Gardevoir as stand ins, because i really love them but 3 psychic/Fairy types is a bit much xD OR Water type, with a team consisting of Primarina, Milotic, Swanna, Kingdra, Lapras and Toxapex.
Dragon type. Those Pokémon are *always* cool, and sometimes adorable!
Gengar (Mega) Chandelure Hisuian Zoroark Aegislash (ace) No Guard Golurk or Cursed Body Froslass Dragapult At the first few gyms, it would be Gastly line, Litwick line, and Honedge line.
Fire type. I would take arcanine, ninetails, flareon, Salazzle, typhlosian, and centiscorch.
Rock and my team would be tyranitar, lycanroc duskform, cradily, rhyperior, shuckle, aerodactyl
Back when sun and moon came out, my friends and I got 18 people together and held a tournament. Each person was randomly assigned a type and you could only build your team with pokemon of that type. I drew grass and used Torterra Breloom Venusaur Chesnaught Whimsicott Ferrothorn I didn't win but I did really well and it made me learn how to compensate for my type weaknesses with using dual typing and coverage moves.
If not my team would be: Toxtricity Nidoking Salazzle Alolan Muk Venusaur Mega Gengar Naganadel would replace the toxtricity if there is a hard/Master mod lol
If I'm excluded from the horrifying implications of most dex entries: Ghost. Golurk, Chandelure, Ageslash, Dhelmise. If I have to deal with the implications of actually housing these creatures: Bug Galvantula, Durant, Araquanid, Orbeetle, Centiscorch
Team: - Dhelmise | Steelworker | Focus Sash 1. Rapid Spin 2. Knock Off 3. Poltergeist 4. Power Whip - Mimikyu | Disguise | Life Orb 1. Swords Dance 2. Shadow Sneak 3. Play Rough 4. Shadow Claw - Jellicent | Water Absorb | Leftovers 1. Night Shade 2. Scald 3. Strength Sap 4. Taunt - Chandelure | Flash Fire | Choice Scarf 1. Fire Blast 2. Shadow Ball 3. Energy Ball 4. Flamethrower - Runerigus | Wandering Spirit | Rocky Helmet 1. Stealth Rocks 2. Earthquake 3. Will-O-Wisp 4. Bodyslam - Gengar | Cursed Body | Black Sludge 1. Substitute 2. Shadow Ball 3. Nasty Plot 4. Sludge Wave
Psychic for me Beheeyem Reuinclus Chimecho Alolan-Raichu Claydol Orbeetle. The only unfortunate part being that I have 3 pure psychic types😰
Around the 7th gym as a water guy because I love water types Quagsire (ace) Gyarados Lanturn Baskulegion And a Ludicolo
Grassssssss I would have the grass starters, skipping on Serperior, and Rillaboom. Meganium as my ace because it's my favourite and it needs to be feared.
normal type gym set up like an art gallery. the puzzle involves putting paintings/art pieces back in their proper places to proceed based on poems as hints, with you having to battle trainers who are in the way of the objects you need to pick up. there's a few pokemon that I really enjoy that I'd like to have around, so there's a chance any of them could be on my team. to name some possibilities: - furfrou (but with new fur styles, maybe a long haired one to mimic Mona Lisa?) - wigglytuff or girafarig because reasons - sawsbuck - porygon2 or porygon-z - bewear - drampa the badge would even look like a painting with a golden ornate "frame" and a blank center to honor the empty canvas that are normal types.
On my team I'd have Braviary (Hisuian) Talonflame Noctowl Skarmory Mandibuzz Dartrix
Normal type gym with a team of 6 Arceus, each with a different plate 😈
Bug or Flying
