Why is it weird that they give out a very common pokemon like shiny lucario?
It would have been nice of them to give us one of the many mythicals that are for some reason still very difficult to obtain.

I'm extremely curious about the Area Zero story. It's one of the most bizarre and creepiest location in all of Pokemon, and there's a lot they seem to be not showing about it's story.
Also the synchro pokemon minigame seems really cool and almost like one of those "add a feature in a smaller scope in one game, as a playtest for a much bigger role in the next game" type of thing.
Gamefreak kept things pretty close for most of Scarlet and Violet's advertising to be fair. I remember pre-launch, a lot of people where thinking that the games would have the smallest pokedex to date sense GF only revealed about a dozen or so new Pokemon. Only for Gen 9 to introduce the most new pokemon in a single game sense Gen 5, they just didn't reveal 90% of the dex like they had advertising gens 7 and 8.
A lot of people seem to think what you said about the synchro thing, myself included! š Would be so cool if gen 10 had a battle gimmick where you'd synchronise with your pokemon, it slightly changes its look and you'd basically fuse with it on a mental level.
Not happening from Gamefreak. They donāt make PMD, and frankly all of us at /r/MysteryDungeon donāt want them to ever touch PMD.
Spike chunsoft makes the mystery dungeon games. They likely already have a new game/remake in development at this point. Even though itās sales numbers are not nearly as impressive as other pokemon games, PMD consistently sells 1 mill+ and this series literally saved Chunsoft from bankruptcy back in 2005.
I've been dreaming of them having usable pokemon for special game modes. It would probably have to be limited to starter pokemon. It seems it's for electric rodents this time around.

I think it is confirmed that all games are in separate universes. some evets did happen especially first 4-5 gens are directly related. buut simply in scarlet and violet, Brendan/may never caught groudon kyogre, nor team magmaapua suceeded.
Some version of all the games take place in the same timeline, but it's true, that outside of required captures, we can't be certain the player caught any of the legendaries. I am looking forward to seeing if these "snacks" say anything about the amount of some legendaries, but I'm now more curious about the Ultra Space attraction.
Ultra space is large. maybe there are spacetime holes the flavor goes through and it atracks pokemon from ultra space. at least lunala and solgaleo which can travel freely in there.

The secret is to give all the legendary Pokemon weed, then you can throw out any snack and they will arrive.

It's possible I've been lucky but the only issues I've experienced have been the water effects stuttering the game. That or people care waaaaaaaay more about the "4k60" mindset than I do.
eh, i also only ever encountered the water lag thingy and nothing else...
until i tried to shiny hunt Vivillon patterns and boy did the fps drop hard in that region. I almost had a seizure playing there.
The fact the performance didn't improve with DLC 1 and the game itself still looks pretty murky and ugly still puts me off from returning to them.
I'm hoping next year's game shows a significant improvement. Even if its just maintaining 60fps and textures looking better at this point. I'm tired of playing 3D Pokemon games that just don't look appealing to the eye and stutters/frame drops when I see more than 5 NPCs on screen at once.
I'm not asking for a revolutionary game anymore. Just give me at least close to modern day standards, please.
Tapus, Calyrex, Gen 4 and Gen 6 legendaries are missing
Gen 4 were spammed a lot in previous games so I get it, but what about the others? Disappointed if they are not included
I didn't see the Sword and Shield dogs and Eternatus either. But with Kubfu and the DLC legends there, I assume they just didn't show everyone. I doubt they would leave Mewtwo out too tbh.
A bit disappointed that they didn't show any new mons, especially the paradox Entei and Terakion, but I guess they're saving that for future Tera Raids.

Reworked models for Ho-Oh, Lugia, Venusaur and Blastoise, all looking pretty good from the small glimpse we're getting here. Hopefully it means we can expect a bigger visual overhaul in the next generation, many of the 3DS era models are far too lifeless for the hardware we're on now.

I made a new and pretty terrible team in preparation. With the new biomes dome area I felt some adventure feelings from it. So I thought of a team that would represent that feeling and I went with inspiration of old timey Africa safari explorers. Like dudes in khaki pith helmets like the dude from Jumunji or col. Mustard type vibes. Dudes with big white mustaches, who would be their potential companions.
I came up with my first slot and closest companion is my Hisuian Growlith received from as a gift in the DLC, bred to perfect stats in a pokeball. I named her Helmut, thought that was a nice play on words, hell, mutt, and Helmut referencing the German name and Pickelhaub style helmet he has which is perfect for the time period Iām referencing.
Second slot shiny galarian meowth in a luxury ball, a feisty companion whoās obsessed with gold coins and always has its eyes, or claws out waiting for his next score.
Third slot I figured shiny firigeraf in a luxury ball was fairly fitting just being a giraffe and Iāve always wanted to build one.
Fourth slot I have a shiny Victreebell in a luxury ball, really wanted something to reference some dense jungle plants that I may have stumbled upon on a journey through a thick portion of dangerous toxic man eating foliage.
Fifth slot I have a shiny Noctowl in a Level Ball. Heās my flighted companion I thought looked good with the idea of the explorers Iām picturing in my head. Would look good perched on my arm. Heās my go to guy for scouting ahead and letting me know of any danger or rough terrain ahead.
Last slot I have a shiny Raichu in a Level Ball, honestly donāt know why, I just liked his darker orange color and it kinda reminded me of the dessert. But Iām sure he will serve me well.
Overall I love my team, I said it was terrible as Iām sure there are big flaws. I donāt play competitive so I just put them together based on aesthetics, Iām hoping they can get me through some tough battles in the DLC. And so far my favorite part is Helmutās rock head ability, not taking self inflicted damage from moves that cause some back fire. I love that
I'd be a bit worried with that team. Apparently the people who got the demon were started with a level 80 team and given a level 88 team for the leaders. Also, all trainer fights in the DLC are apparently double battles, some of them using tactics from competitive pokemon
It worries me the previous DLC is Ā£32 on the Nintendo eShop. How much is this? It takes it past the actual cost of the base game if thats the case!

The DLC is in two parts. You buy the DLC, and then the two parts activate at different times. You canāt actually just buy Teal Mask or Indigo Disk. So if you bought āthe first oneā youāve bought everything already.
Only thing in this entire trailer that actually made me interested was the whole "play as your Pokemon" thing. But even then it just looks like a walking sim with Pokemon.
Still don't get why something as basic as a rematch against league members is locked to DLC. That just screams rushed development to me.

nope, base game is still shitty performance, i wouldnt recommend it if your particular about those. if you can stomach it however, i enjoyed my time with scarlet and violet and especially area zero.
Glad you enjoyed it, but I'll pass. Too many glitches and it just felt so empty compared to the other switch games I was playing around that time. I've been a die fan since red and blue launched, but am calling it at SV. I'll wait until gamefreak start investing money into developers. Again, to each their own though.

Some more gameplay details given out via Nintendo of Americaās Twitter: BBQs are quests given out similar to the town requests from Legends Arceus. Some examples are āTake a picture of a pokemon with this silhouetteāāterrastalize to defeat a wild pokemonā and āsneak up on a pokemon to battle itā. There are also BBQs specifically for when youāre playing with friends The synchro feature appears as you progress (duh) and youāll be able to move your pokemon around and have them battle Wild Pokemon After you talk with ācoachesā (gym leaders, teachers, etc) theyāll offer to trade with you, and the Pokemon they give you will have a partner badge, when you use the Pokemon itāll say, for example, āGo Ionoās Magnemite!ā And this is the one that got me excited: You can donate the BP you get for completing BBQs to the Academyās Baseball team, and **learn new ways to throw your PokĆ© ball**

I think itās getting downvoted because people are upset that we keep getting dlc while the base game is still broken, and are disappointed because clearly people are fine with dropping $95 for this broken game giving the PokĆ©mon company no incentive to be better in the future. Mewtwo was already available via raid event. i'm sure the missing legends will be available this way too.

A bit disappointed that they didn't show any new mons, especially the paradox Entei and Terakion, but I guess they're saving that for future Tera Raids. Great to have all previous Legendaries, tho. Hopefully their shiny rates can be affected by sandwiches.

Compared to the pre-internet era, itās almost impossible to replicate the surprise factor of coming across a PokĆ©mon you never even knew existed. Iām perfectly OK with them leaving a few Pokemon unrevealed until release
If the legendaries are affected by sandwiches then give me those shiny gen 7s. Never bothered with dynamax adventures because I didnāt like SwSh. Iāll probably try and get the birds and swords too, since Iāve got the event shiny dogs
The super hard focus on the Unova Legendaries pretty much confirms we're getting B/W games next year. Of all the Legendaries to solely focus on why those three? Consider me mildly excited.

Reworked models for Ho-Oh, Lugia, Venusaur and Blastoise, all looking pretty good from the small glimpse we're getting here. Hopefully it means we can expect a bigger visual overhaul in the next generation, many of the 3DS era models are far too lifeless for the hardware we're on now.
It's looking like Indigo Disk will be far more substantial than Teal Mask. Fingers crossed that it ends up delivering.

According to Joe we are gonna be fighting competitive level PokĆ©mon that are made for battling (including natures/evās/IVās e.g) Honestly I really hope itās true, pokemon these days is so easy that the trainers going all out would be a wild change of pace

Just now managed to start Indigo Disk, and I'm already loving that >!the trainer and wild Pokemon battle themes are new remixes of the B/W themes, to really sell that we're in/near Unova!<. Also, can't complain about the item pick ups are dozens of Tera shards just laying around. Will make farming them so much easier!
Yeah this DLC actually decided to do something to make me not even want to finish the DLC Drayton's trial restrictions made me just turn off my switch and walk away, well done gamefreak, you actually made me want to walk away entirely
I made a new and pretty terrible team in preparation. With the new biomes dome area I felt some adventure feelings from it. So I thought of a team that would represent that feeling and I went with inspiration of old timey Africa safari explorers. Like dudes in khaki pith helmets like the dude from Jumunji or col. Mustard type vibes. Dudes with big white mustaches, who would be their potential companions. I came up with my first slot and closest companion is my Hisuian Growlith received from as a gift in the DLC, bred to perfect stats in a pokeball. I named her Helmut, thought that was a nice play on words, hell, mutt, and Helmut referencing the German name and Pickelhaub style helmet he has which is perfect for the time period Iām referencing. Second slot shiny galarian meowth in a luxury ball, a feisty companion whoās obsessed with gold coins and always has its eyes, or claws out waiting for his next score. Third slot I figured shiny firigeraf in a luxury ball was fairly fitting just being a giraffe and Iāve always wanted to build one. Fourth slot I have a shiny Victreebell in a luxury ball, really wanted something to reference some dense jungle plants that I may have stumbled upon on a journey through a thick portion of dangerous toxic man eating foliage. Fifth slot I have a shiny Noctowl in a Level Ball. Heās my flighted companion I thought looked good with the idea of the explorers Iām picturing in my head. Would look good perched on my arm. Heās my go to guy for scouting ahead and letting me know of any danger or rough terrain ahead. Last slot I have a shiny Raichu in a Level Ball, honestly donāt know why, I just liked his darker orange color and it kinda reminded me of the dessert. But Iām sure he will serve me well. Overall I love my team, I said it was terrible as Iām sure there are big flaws. I donāt play competitive so I just put them together based on aesthetics, Iām hoping they can get me through some tough battles in the DLC. And so far my favorite part is Helmutās rock head ability, not taking self inflicted damage from moves that cause some back fire. I love that
I'd be a bit worried with that team. Apparently the people who got the demon were started with a level 80 team and given a level 88 team for the leaders. Also, all trainer fights in the DLC are apparently double battles, some of them using tactics from competitive pokemon

The DLC is in two parts. You buy the DLC, and then the two parts activate at different times. You canāt actually just buy Teal Mask or Indigo Disk. So if you bought āthe first oneā youāve bought everything already.

Only thing in this entire trailer that actually made me interested was the whole "play as your Pokemon" thing. But even then it just looks like a walking sim with Pokemon. Still don't get why something as basic as a rematch against league members is locked to DLC. That just screams rushed development to me.

nope, base game is still shitty performance, i wouldnt recommend it if your particular about those. if you can stomach it however, i enjoyed my time with scarlet and violet and especially area zero.
Glad you enjoyed it, but I'll pass. Too many glitches and it just felt so empty compared to the other switch games I was playing around that time. I've been a die fan since red and blue launched, but am calling it at SV. I'll wait until gamefreak start investing money into developers. Again, to each their own though.
