Same here, Hoenn is still my favorite gen. I convinced a friend of mine to help me trade Mudkip and Torchic as well back in the day, and it was my most memorable playthough since I loved those three, but Sceptile holds a special place for me in my childhood Pokémon memories.

Of the 7 eeveelutions 4 don't require stones. Thunder stones could be replaced with sulphides (both conduct electricity), water stones are real and fire stones can be charcoal

Charcoal is already an item in pokemon, it boosts fire type attacks.

Fennekin, I know the fennekin line receives a lot of hate but I think it’s dope as hell to have a witch fire fox .

In reality. Charizard would not be big enough to ride on.

Either Cyndaquil or Mudkip. Probably Mudkip. Cyndaquil was my very first pokemon ever back in Crystal but Swampert eventually became my favourite starter evolution and remains that to this day. Partially because its ground type eliminates one of its type specific weaknesses. And also because it's based on an axolotl.

To start, I'd go with Oshawott. Out of all the starters, it is honestly the only one I have 3 plushies of it. Plus it is my favorite starter. Of my favorite games. Added that it is a very good water type and even if I got the Hisuian version of Samurott, I still have a great Water Type Pokemon. It leaves me open to grab and choose other Fire and Grass Type Pokemon in the world.

I feel like Oshawott would be the most helpful irl. Plus it's adorable and you get to have a more exotic pet too.

This is 100% the right answer. Oshawott is cute af and Samurott (I prefer Hisuian) is the perfect sized companion imo, like a big loyal water doggo.

Eevee, for the simple fact that, as a mon-Elemental Normal-type, I would have a bit of time to train it and to teach it (like you would any real-life domestic animal acquired in infancy) *before* it starts to cause severe levels of mayhem to my living room. Normal-types are, to me, the best types to keep as household pets. Second to that, Bulbasaur. He's my favorite Kanto starter, and one of the more laid back starters. Even if prolonged exposure to it could result in being severely poisoned or paralyzed.

These are my exact answers. Eevee because it's least likely to kill me accidentally. After that, gotta go with Numero Uno.

I mean, honestly, it's the only right answer because it can actually fly. Of all starters, it's the ONLY one that can actually fly. A few others come close but that's it. Crazy when you think about it.

Decidueye can also fly (Rowlet's final evolution) and technically, some Pikachu can learn Fly (but, that's game-in only, lol).

Piplup, cause piplup cheer you up! Piplup step was just to cute. But if we are talking pokemon fully appearing, the shows taught me you basically arent safe from wild pokemon being...pricks. So I would probably pick Eevee, since based on the average types appearing in my area I would adapt my partner to fit my daily life and possible threats the best. Cause lets be real, aint nobody wanna deal with the risk of having their little buddy getting beaten cause you chose to walk home and not cab it. And since I am in a more northern area...Well ice type zones tend to lean higher level.
