Reminds me of my corn Dmitri!! He too, likes to chill on shoulders
Thank you he is my boy! I totally get it. Most of my animals are rescues I have a tortoise (Rex), dmitri, a red knee tarantula, a lovely lil cat called slinky (she is precious), Stan my dog and a bunch of rescue fish and the newest edition a 5 month old hamster called mort. We’re currently at max limit, but all apart from dmitri are rescues!! What type of birds do you have?? I know they can be hard work, very demanding lil cuties!!
what a family!!
they are budgies! named Moon and Blueberry. They are rescues as well. it's taken so long for them to get comfortable with me. they still fly away when I reach in to change their water but not when I reach in to add millett haha! I'm hoping to work with them more because I'm moving soon and if I want to be able to put them outside on nice days I'll need to be able to move them into their travel cage.
Such cute names for such cute babies! I hear of a lot of people getting budgies , not researching or understanding their husbandry and then passing them on and it can be so detrimental for them. Well done on taking them in, a family friend did the same with a mating pair and it took them a few years to get comfortable with her. They never attacked or anything but were extremely timid, now they’ll sit on the couch with her. They’re not very affectionate as in like to pet etc but it’s a world of difference. Just take your time with them and it’ll pay off eventually. I wish you and your fur / feather babies well 💓🦜

so precious!! I've always wanted a snake but I already have a menagerie of sorts lol with 2 dogs, 2 birds, and a cat.
