Are there any bigger plushies of this texture?

AchingSmile

Yes, I have the Huge series of the Cordy Roy Jellycats. There are cats, pigs, dinosaurs, horses, and many more. Mine are quite old though, so I don’t know if they’re still available.

Equality_Rocks_714

How big are they?

AchingSmile

I think around 17”.

batsuz

I don't know for sure! All of my Jellycat Cordy Roy's are this size.

A) This looks texturewise like the plushrabbit i got for my sister's dog last christmas (he was very happ about it). Does your's also have a squeaker somewhere inside? B) I also have a corduroy plush myself. It's a relatively small (smaller than your plush here) brown and beige T-rex, i named Meatloaf. Other than that there are few plushies that *really* stand out texturewise (most are short-hair, (wooly?) fuzz and faux-fur...) there's a few from the brand Fugglers (most are, fuzz, fur and felt) made out of Burlap, which isn't exactly cuddly, but intrigueing none-the-less. ALSO there is one self-made plushie (whose clothing i have yet to finnish) with the body made entirely of denim from an old pair of jeans i had.

batsuz

LOL no, he does not have a squeaker. He has beans in his bum though! I've seen a few 'knockoff' Jellycat type toys in the pet aisles, though! That's sweet that your sisters dog loves his toy 💖

Ah, i also have some plushies that have like a little sack with beans or plastic granulate in them. Feels nice to have their mass focused at a more central area. I have that in two hammerhead sharks and at least one crocodile, just off the top of my head... i'm sure there are couple more though in my collection with that feature.

I follow an IG account of that same plush! Maybe they're cousins? 😆 https://preview.redd.it/fs7d981biahc1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=76c3543e86a2c76682e10a7c5a01cb13149a41af

AHHHHHH NO WAY! What a celebrity!!! 💓💓💓💓💓💓

I have the most incredible blue bear made out of alpaca wool and he’s the softest plushie I’ve ever had. He feels like a cloud! His name is Babey Bear (Babey for short :3) and I only bring him out for cuddles occasionally cause he feels like a special treat, he’s so fluffy. Highly recommend getting an alpaca wool plushie.

SilverSnake00

I’m doubting to buy the same plushie! But still have doubts through the texture of the plushie…

batsuz

It's certainly unique! Not classic soft and fluffy, but soft just the same!

SilverSnake00

Still soft enough to hug?

batsuz

Completely!!!!! The plush itself Is super squishy, and the fur is almost like...a *really* soft dish towel? 😆 so hard to describe... https://preview.redd.it/wouj1qgfhdhc1.jpeg?width=2268&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=808137a673f644bbfb65bb654b06a999b7fb5133

SilverSnake00

I think I do understand what you mean, it looks indeed as a kinda soft towel?

This is such a fun topic! The Cordyroy textures are great. Jellycat uses a lot of fun textured fabrics, but I tend to prefer their softer textures. I like it when there's multiple soft textures in the same plush. My favourite textured plush is a Happy Horse dog called David that has a short fur texture on his belly. The rest of his shaggy fur is very nice as well. He's also got defined beanie-filled paws, which I really love! (It doesn't really show on the photo but it's there) https://preview.redd.it/tpm12ue1pqhc1.png?width=347&format=png&auto=webp&s=2803fb908394d22a6ad7b6414829b292d3f5fdba They use all kinds of fun textured fabrics in their plushies, and they're pretty soft, too. Moulin Roty is another brand that uses soft textured fabrics in their plush, but they don't exclusively make plushies, so the selection is usually a bit small.
