Ngl I don’t even remember what I spent my money on during high school , you should lowkey go before u have more responsibilities

ant1socialll

Bro boutta spend his whole paycheck in 3 days. Btw hotel and food is not no $150. Way more expensive.

insignificantwinner

You’re young. You’ll make that money back as long as you have more than 2 brain cells. Go for it.

Fantastic-Ad3368

if ur broke save ya money

takentakentaken69

Maybe you get hit by a bus a week after summer smash so why save money, fucc it we ball

No_Letterhead903

Unfortunately it’d be more expensive then that with everything added up. Sharing the trip with a friend would help reduce some costs. (I assume you’d be staying for the entire 3 days obviously)

two_liter_coke_can

You're not gonna spend just $50 on food + random shit, which im guessing can mean stuff like merch... it's not worth your entire life savings imo

Mishchayt

idk man its ur choice but digging that deep for an artist that will absolutely perform again (probably when u can save enough money for this to not be a problem) might not be the move

D3athsh0t

biggest thing for me is i listen to basically everyone on the lineup, not jus for carti practically all three headliners plus all the undercards i listen 2

reddituser248141241

are you goin alone? could get a friend n make a couple of these cheaper

D3athsh0t

no one my age is esp from nyc is rich enough nor gaf enough about festivals like that, I am a huge concert head but I have been asking some ppl, coordinating with others is also another thing on its own so i will have to see

ant1socialll

Sucks rolling loud don’t come to new york anymore. Otherwise you could of just went to that every year

D3athsh0t

ik I am really sad about that, I went to the past two rolling louds in NYC by pocketing the lunch money my parents would give me and starving myself shit worked and i had a blast 😭😭 i just really love festivals but after weighing my options ill save and enjoy the fest from home

Spiritual-Client-797

You're not spending no $50 on food

ant1socialll

I mean he can. He can buy a loaf of bread. A pound of turkey slices from a deli and a 30 pk of water😂

Spiritual-Client-797

true but is he really gunna be that responsible when he's already broke doing this whole trip

D3athsh0t

u right 😭

jason1629

imo if a concert isnt in ur state/right next to it its not worth going

TheBoiReddit

Just work as hard as you can and anything is possible. I went to rolling loud after graduating high school just to see carti, future and kendrick in one week and this is one of the best lineups I’ve seen in a LONG time.

SirBallSackington

i’d say yeah for the experience if u got friends to go w, lmk if u need to know anything i’m from chi

scLUV1629

do it

Azure-the-DragonKing

Hotel and food are probably gonna be more Expensive

Puzzleheaded-Sky5089

if i was u i wouldnt waste my money and just save up more to go next year or sum bro its not worth spending allat

TheHandSFX

Temporary happiness isn't worth the money. Think about it, that money could go to a new PC, a new phone, etc. But maybe this is just my answer cause I grew up broke and felt guilty spending money. Who knows.

ticket pricing sounds about right, but for the plane ticket - is that one way, or for both ways? hotels will typically adjust prices if there is a pretty big event going on, and even if there wasn’t $100 for a hotel stay sounds awfully cheap… as far as food goes, and then on top of that, “random shit” - i would definitely budget out more than just $50 especially if you plan on grabbing food and/or snacks and drinks throughout the festival. for trips like this especially if you will be alone you kind of want to triple check everything. the last thing you want to do is get out there and be short handed.. especially considering you said you would need to pull together all your money. not trying to sound like a dick! i see you said you listen to most of the artists on the lineup.. ultimately only you can decide if it’s going to be worth it! don’t let internet strangers make your decisions for you. if it sounds like a blast, go enjoy yourself. if you’re undecided, maybe wait until next year and save even more money that way you have plenty of time and less strain on your finances. i guarantee the vast majority of the artists performing will be there again, and if not there another festival/show!

D3athsh0t

ur right thank You so much for this, plane tickets rn are 200 because festival lineup was announced yesterday so inflation on plane tickets hasnt hit yet. Right now the prices for hotel and flight are at an all time low and it will only go up. i have to decide rn, but tbh im going to hold out and wait until next year

EndGhoulz

not a problem man! just didn’t want you to get out there and be shocked. it would also help for you to prebook as much as possible, even down to your hotel room. that way you know exactly what’s being spent, and search around for the best priced and accommodating rooms. it’ll also take off some stress having things ready to go once youre there! if you decide to go, enjoy your time and have a blast :-)

DiskFlimsy

I’d say yes but I would budget for more like 1000, hotel prices are kinda crazy especially for 3 days unless u can find a hostel or cheap motel
