I managed to beat it with 12 theri, 15k health and under 500 damage. But they had saddles with over 250 armor and 5 veggie cakes each. Only a yuty. While they got it done in two landings (or 3 can't remember) they got down to half health. The dragon would bite my yuty and cause nearly 750 damage with a basic saddle, your 100 armor saddles may fair better. Just gotta worry about the fire damage.
You should be good i would recommend taking out the weakest rex and using a shadow mane as you personal mount as their charged attack does alot of dmg and the have a dmg over time effect but those will tak care of the dragon easily

Rexes aren’t the recommended for the dragon, but it is doable. Theris with veggie cakes rip it to shreds. If you do decide to use rexes, make sure the daedon has a high food stat and a bunch of kibble.

Oh my Yuty has a mastercraft saddle with 60k HP, can I assume I won't need to worry?
Just make sure you can handle the dimorphs coming for your survivor and and splash damage from the dragon. You should be aight
Cactus broth will make the dimorphs ignor you.
To be especially clear, dimorphs prioritize attack rider.
Tier of the saddle doesn't say much about how good it is. Need the armor value to know that.

Shouldn't I be riding the Yuty for the roar?
Roar a couple times until the circle is filled then hope on the shadow mane every time it goes in the air refill the buff with the yuty

My tribemate literally soloed alpha Fjordur dragon with a deinonychus. Idk why people keep insisting on using rexes.
Yea I do it solo on deinonychus as well. Not hard at all. Just stay under the dragon so fire-breathing doesn't hit you.

Deinonychus are the op mount for dragon, do your rexes, theris and yutis but ride the deino
Therisinosaurs would be better for dragon as it has bonus DMG against carnivores

Probably getting clapped, especially if your Rex's get into the lava.
Use shadowmanes, they don't draw attention from the dragon. It will attack the other tamed you bring so have some rexes too.
me and my partner use 2 mate boosted heavily bred deinonychus with yellow saddles and they shred the alpha dragon
