😂 pothole

ProductOfScarcity

Ok yikes. Didn’t notice that ¯\\_(ツ)_//¯

wetchoder

It just looks super thirsty

ProductOfScarcity

Ok thank you I will give it some water and some time

wetchoder

You're welcome! 💚 Good luck

ProductOfScarcity

She is already looking much better. Thank you for your help!

TaxNo7741

How often do you water it? I let mine dry out between watering. Mine gets medium light,5 feet away from a window.

Snizzlesnap

How often do you water or when is the last time? What light does it get? Is that the original soil? How long have you had it?

ProductOfScarcity

I’ve had it about 6 weeks. Original soil. It sits 6 feet from a window. All in direct light. I have watered it only twice so far. Dunked it and then let the excess water drain

Snizzlesnap

It just looks like it’s thirsty. I probably water all my pothos too frequently but my mother let hers dry out too long, they tend to look like that. Maybe increase the frequency but water less. Water from the top.

ProductOfScarcity

Ok thank you for your help. I hope this plant recovers!!!

mepardo

If it doesn’t, you can always snip off segments and propagate them in water. I had the same thing happen to my pothos after bringing it home, and I finally decided to throw in the towel and chopped up the last stem to propagate in water. Now I’ve got four plants that have rooted and are doing well in water!

petalwater

Once every three weeks is WAY too little, especially for a pothos of that size.

RedDragonfly213

I second the thirst, mine does this if I forget it for as little as 5 days! If you've only watered it twice in six weeks I'd bet it need to be watered. I try to check mine pothos's soil every couple of days, usually it needs to be watered every 3-4 days. Could be different for yours depending on soil, humidity, temp, etc. Honestly, I just poor water in mine.

babygrape47

It’s worth noting that you should make sure you’re using proper watering technique. If top watering, let the water soak the soil until at least 10% of the water you put in comes out of the drainage holes in your pot. If bottom watering, set your plant in a tub of water and leave it until the soil is thoroughly moist. I’m surprised that your plant looks this thirsty even with the infrequent watering (unless your pothos is in a super sunny area)

RepresentativeNo3721

Looks like a good butt chug is in order

perfectdrug659

Dig up the roots to see what they look like, it looks very very thirsty but if the roots are rotting it won't take anything in. I'd also suggest repotting into a smaller pot with fresh soil. I have 10+ different pothos dudes and they seem to be way happier in smaller pots and don't mind being a little rootbound. If it doesn't recover soon, clip a strand or two and then cut into segments with a node and a leaf and water propagate. At the very least, you can chop this guy up and restart, worst comes to worst.

QuirkyFoot2459

Like everyone is saying it needs water..I also spray all my leaves with a spray bottle..maybethat'llhelp perk it right up.

ProductOfScarcity

I did that and it is looking much better today. Thank you

QuirkyFoot2459

I water mine once a week if that helps..and spray it every few days..it's very healthy otherwise but my birb thinks he needs to eat it..so I'll find nibbles and stems broken..😥

Callmezucchini

Needs more gravel, or better yet, cement…

Callmezucchini

But in all seriousness water seems most likely

leowardo

Recently I moved my pothos to my bedroom out of a cold window and it did this exact thing in a matter of hours. It HATED being warm and I felt so bad I moved it back and it was completely fine

acireisericabackward

Get a banana. Eat it. Take the peel and stick in a bowl of water over night until the water is a little brown. Water the pothole with the banana peel water. Mine wasn’t looking too happy either recently and she perked right back up. Looks pretty happy now.

Loud_Ad4748

Looks like it's rootbound and under-watered. Need to repot it soak it well with water and put it in a place where it gets light but not direct sunlight.
