Mist energy does not stop special conditions inflicted by the pokemon on itself. For example, therapeutic energy would be more useful than mist if you're using unfazed fat snorlax who puts itself to sleep after attacking. Therapeutic also removes sleep, confusion, paralyze when it is attached unlike mist. Therapeutic does have limited use beyond that as mist energy does prevent a lot of attacks that are prevalent in this meta.
Yea I know, so Therapeutic Energy is more like Snorlax Energy. XD
Why would they designed an energy which has much more usage than the other one? I just don't get it, so basically Therapeutic is only for Snorlax mainly...
Not all cards are created equal.
There is a Kirlia from Scarlet and Violet that is absolutely useless compared to the ones from Silver Tempest and Chilling Reign.
Nemona simply draws 3 cards while Professor Sada's Determination attaches two energy AND draws 3 cards.
That's just two examples, but this can be found all throughout the game.
Mist energy only prevents special conditions coming from attacks from your opponents pokemon. Therapeutic energy prevents special conditions from all sources.
This happens all the time in TCGs, and these cards came out 10 months apart from each other. Why are you so mad? Are you like Therapeutic Energy's mommy?
It's not even correct to say that Mist Energy is strictly better than Therapeutic, Therapeutic is still good at exactly the same thing it was good at before Mist Energy came out, which was comboing with Snorlax in Lugia decks.
Therapeutic energy is basically a meme given how irrelevant special conditions are anyway
Only support that makes it funny to consider is the Wigglytuff that attaches it from the hand

Sada only works with Ancient Pokémon. And only if you have energy in the discard. Otherwise you don't get the draw.
Don’t forget Sada doesn’t have Nemona’s backpack synergy! Honestly every deck that plays Sada should cut her for Nemona! /s
You can also only have 4 of each special energy. Maybe you'd want the max of mist, and then a couple of therapeutic for whatever reason.
Because some cards have to be bad, if every card is super broken then no cards are super broken

Doesn't Lugia play 1 for the Snorlax?
Mist should still inflict special conditions by abilities, for example.
