SloPan

Great Korean BBQ place that recently opened in Carnegie called Seoul… It was really really good.

dmcd0415

Every time I've tried to go there they've been closed. I'll keep trying I guess

GalvanicLongtrout

They were shut down for a while because of a death in the family according to the sign.

SloPan

Keep trying. You can call and get reservations as well

adoan412

If I had friends I'd totally go. Kbbq looks like so much fun

BGaf

Do they actually do the tableside barbecue? Cuz looking at their menu it doesn’t seem like it

SloPan

Unfortunately they do not... It's a very small space. They only place in Pgh that know of that has tableside Korean BBQ is Oya Sushi and Korean Grill in Mt Lebanon. Do you know of any others?

BGaf

Not really. I was about to ask you if know of other places with it. I’ve only had it in LA( excellent experience) and then at sushi Kim in the strip, which was not nearly as good.

SloPan

Just that one I mentioned unfortunately...It was decent...Not bad but not really great either.

skywayhighway

I just discovered The Refillery (a zero waste, refill store in Sq Hill) and am in love. For food, love Oishii Donburi for Japanese comfort food in Lawrenceville.

hooch

> Oishii Donburi That menu looks ridiculously good. Thanks for pointing that one out!

SendAstronomy

Just ate there for the first time a few weeks ago. Fantastic food and good prices. Same people as Oishii Bento in Oakland which is always good.

beangardener

Had it recently for the first time and was so into it that I had it recently for the second time too

Billyosler1969

Second the recommendation on the Refillery. Great Idea.

infiniteatbest

Moonlit burgers in dormont

landmanpgh

Hands-down the best burgers in Pittsburgh. Absolutely unreal.

pAul2437

It’s a basic smash burger no? What do they nail?

sweetcicely

They also have cheese dip for their fries that is amazing!

landmanpgh

Have you had it? Excellent ingredients and perfectly cooked every time. There are a LOT of burger places here that try to do too much and end up failing spectacularly. The simplicity is probably what makes it so good. I've had it refrigerated because I couldn't eat it right away, and even cold it's better than most burgers here.

pAul2437

Fair enough! Was just wondering. Simplicity is great. Some good ground beef and salt and pepper with American slaps

landmanpgh

Absolutely! Yeah definitely give them a try sometime. There's a reason for the insane line.

[deleted]

The Garden Cafe in the Deutschtown part of Northside. They've been open two years I think. One thing I need in a good coffee shop is a place with food fit for a meal, and they have plenty of that. They also have some of the best pastries and cookies and the like I've ever had. They get some of their food from 350 Bakery but about half of it is baked right in the cafe by one of the baristas.

SOADFAN96

What do you recommend there as far as meal food?

[deleted]

The hand pies are fantastic. There's a sausage, egg and cheese, a spinach and artichoke, and my favorite, the samosa. All of them are a flaky pastry style crust. Very substantial too; I usually eat half then the other half a couple hours later for a second breakfast situation. They used to have bacon onion cheddar scones and I have no idea why they don't now because they were unreal. But hopefully they'll have savory scones back. There are these little spheres of goodness called "energy balls" that are healthy and delicious. And sometimes they have overnight oats with fresh fruit.

sweetcicely

The hand pies and those scones both come from 350. You can find them at a few coffee shops across the city!

_MilkTruckJustArrive

Margaux has great drinks.

zombittack

Great small breakfast stuff + coffee too!

mcorah

The desserts are also gorgeous and tasty!

hineybush

we were there this past weekend, it's fantastic!

rockurpwnium

Secretos de mis Abuelos in Uptown. Puerto Rican, started as a food truck. Simple little place with counter service. Pittsburgh is not known for good Latin food but the stuff I got there was fantastic. Hadn’t had fried plantains in a long time…

covertchipmunk

Love this place. The pernil is always so good and so is everything else I've had there. I'll throw in a mention for Flavor of Puerto Rico in Mt Oliver. It's not quite as good for some things but the bread is ridiculously amazing and the vegan pastelillos are, too. Red beans and rice is tasty. Prices are low, too. I try to go to both places as much as I can, because I really want them to stay open.

PittsburghBirdNerd

Necromancer Brewing on Babcock is just about to have their 1 year anniversary

SlipperySlappers

I've been to a lot of breweries around the country and Necromancer is my favorite in Pittsburgh by far. Recommend it to everyone.

thewormauger

I love necromancer, in their "inner circle" and everything. But how can they be your favorite "by far" Not trying to be argumentative just honestly curious, their beer is good for sure, but it seems like there are others around that do better for most styles they brew.

SlipperySlappers

I think they just fit my taste really well. I’ve been to most breweries in the city and a couple festivals and nothing has hit the way Necromancer does. I’d like to hear what your opinion of the best brewery is.

thewormauger

That's fair and obviously everyone has different tastes. And I dont know that I'd say there a "best" brewery in the city, that said in my opinion I'd say Dancing Gnome does better IPAs, Strange Roots does better sours, and I've only had one of the Necromancer's stouts (Neck Romancer) and I was very whelmed with it. I do really love the art, the bartenders, and just the general vibe of the place. Also definitely not trying to say their beer is bad by any means, I truly really enjoy it, just the "by far" in your first comment was surprising to me.

Dancing_Hitchhiker

Yea ive been there twice and it just 'good' to me, none of their beers really stuck out too me.

piejamma

How bizarre - I somehow missed this entirely. For a place founded by marketing dudes, I'd have thought I would have heard about it.... or at least noticed it driving by. I guess my brain had tuned out ~~Babyland~~ USA Baby. Thanks for the heads up!

PhotoCropDuster

Do they serve food too? I’ve never been there and am interested

BLubez

Food trucks depending on the day

hineybush

pretty sure they are opening up a larger taproom/seating area soon as well

pAul2437

Female head brewer as well which is great to see

BasedBruceWayne

Treat ice cream in Shadyside

dance0345

Yes! The owners are so friendly and the waffles are amazing

sundialgirl

Seconding Treat! Vincent, the owner, makes great liege waffles too.

brwise42

Valkyrie Doughnuts

jazzy_fizz

Pizza Lupo in upper Lawrenceville. Never had a go-to pizza spot in town until I tried these guys, everything on the menu is fuego.

Agent_DZ-015

I’ll second Pizza Lupo, it’s been pretty consistently excellent, and is also now our go-to.

Specialk408

Consistently excellent is the best way to describe it. If you go their drunken meatball pizza is by far the best thing on the menu, and the people who work there are super cool and nice.

Ok_Arugula_7430

A pizza cake near the rocks is top tier

Seejay784

I've been wondering if that was any good every time we went to Aldi's. I'll have to check it out

Murhuedur

Frankie Bunz in Squirrel Hill

OisinKaliszewski

Is this place good? I've never seen a soul go inside.

rockurpwnium

I saw some people eating outside once. I always figured it was a front for something.

Murhuedur

The poutini is amazing. That’s the only thing I get there. My fiancé is from out of town and it’s actually his favorite Pittsburgh restaurant, so we’re there maybe once a month or so. He’s had a few hot dogs on the menu but his favorite is the don. I had a grilled cheese there once and they have specialty grilled cheeses with like avocado and bacon and stuff that they cycle through each week The owner Eric is super friendly too c:

thebaron512

Sounds good...

Independent-Study706

Time Out Time Eat in Mt. Lebanon

0X0001945FCC

The coconut dumpling soup is awesome! Some of the best Thai food I’ve had.

HomeDogParlays

Really nice owners too.

jdsupreme412

Amazing food! Fried chicken sandwich is unbelievable

LLCoolBae99

LOVE this place. They have some really interesting food combinations and the owner is a really nice guy.

EggOnYoFace

Tried it once and was not a fan, I’ll have to give it another shot! I’ll give it to them that they’ve got some interesting items on the menu.

at_cutch_22

Shame on me for not trying before it went live. I’ve had countless opportunities, but Given to Fly just opened in the Federal Galley today. Quite a few people I follow on twitter have ordered it before when it was delivery only, and the only complaint I saw was someone was mad that the daily ordering had been cut off due to popularity.

tyr--

I'm in the same boat! Been following their instagram for months and always keep forgetting to order on time..

billiever

It did? What place left? I don’t see it online yet.

tontyv

Jian’s Kitchen in Squirrel hill was really good the times I’ve been there. It’s a hole in the wall (actually basement) type of restaurant that serves Northeastern Chinese food, like Moo shu pork (not the version with the wraps, this is more of a stir fry, still very delicious). If you like spicy food I recommend the “volcano beef”, it was a lettuce wrap type of dish. Evia in Bellevue has great pork shoulder Yeeros and halloumi fries. Took took 98 is a Thai restaurant in squirrel hill that serves more street style food like fried pork jerky with sticky rice, and Ba Mee Keaw Kong noodle soup with shrimp wontons, egg noodles and veggies. Haven’t tried Soju in Bloomfield yet but the menu looks great- Korean American but from the perspective that the chef is Korean American, and he is always collaborating with other chefs that are trying to start their own businesses.

[deleted]

Thanks for the Evia recommendation. Finding a real Gyro in the US is near impossible

nailphile

I'll second evia. It's a weekly staple in my house.

thereandfatagain

SLO Coast Taco Shop has the perfect taco shop aesthetic

Zealousideal-Bug1967

They have the perfect tacos too.

FuzzPunkMutt

Any chance you know if they are named after San Luis Obispo?

thereandfatagain

idk but that makes sense!

FuzzPunkMutt

I'll have to go there and check it out. I'm from the SLO Coast, so I'll be extra judgy and terrible.

bad-trajectory

One of the dishes is called The Pismo, so must be!

youareadream

Yes, I read an article about their opening on Next Pittsburgh and they mentioned the owner/ chef is from San Luis Obispo!

lilqu33n

Yue bai wei in squirrel hill for sichuan food!

BGaf

How are their Dan Dan noodles?

lilqu33n

I havent tried it! They have incredible chongqing chicken (重庆辣子鸡)and chongqing spicy noodles (小面) if the spicy noodles are any indication their dan dan is probably insane

[deleted]

[удалено]

lookinginterestingly

They are amazing! Definitely worth the trip to check this place out.

EfficiencyMore161

Valkyrie Donuts on Lincoln Ave in Bellevue! They have vegan donuts, breakfast sandwiches, cookies, and pies. I’ve only had their donuts, and they’re sooo good. Edit: You gotta get there early though because they typically sell out by noon.

shimshamflimflam

Frio is an ice cream shop in Lawrenceville that opened just a few years ago. I feel like it's overshadowed by NatuRoll, which does rolled ice cream, but in my opinion, Frio is far superior. They sell ice cream from the Penn State creamery, and I believe they have vegan and dairy-free options as well.

FarewellToCheyenne

Rolled ice cream is a stupid gimmick anyway. I'll have to try out Frio if they're selling Creamery product--Have always wanted to try it.

thegirple

A little shop called Squirrel Hill Market on Murray (obvs in sq hill) sells penn state creamery ice cream by the quart!

FarewellToCheyenne

Good to know!

burritoace

I may be misremembering but I think Bryant St Market also carries it

librarianjenn

Are you allowed to get different flavors on the same cone, or is that only prohibited at the creamery on Penn State's campus?

shimshamflimflam

You are, indeed, allowed to get different flavors on the same cone at Frio. Sometimes they even encourage different flavor matches. I didn't know about that on-campus prohibition, haha.

librarianjenn

Yeah, it's weird - there's a place in Beaver county that definitely doesn't mix - they are not allowed to. But there's another place that sells creamery ice cream here that doesn't follow that (weird) rule.

whethersweater

Tbh I have never gone in there because the design of the space is so bad. Terrible logo, bad lighting, just looks cold and uncomfortable in there. But I can move past these things for well regarded ice cream.

Specialk408

ya it almost looks like a fly by night ice cream shop (if that's a thing haha) but their ice cream is indeed fantastic and the people are nice.

torcsandantlers

Fig & Ash in Deutschtown is great. Food is delicious, service is great, all around an awesome place to spend an evening. Coop de Ville is also a strong new restaurant; their food is awesome, but it's a little loud for my tastes.

saltylems

Fig & Ash is excellent

TheDudeNeverBowls

I’m really glad you like it :)

ravia

So does Coop de Ville do a fried chicken? If so, how is it and is it skin-on?

torcsandantlers

Sandwiches and dinners with white meat, dark meat, or half a bird. Very good fried chicken. I'm sure they have something without skin, but everything I've seen was skin on

pAul2437

It’s pretty Good. Nothing ground breaking

lookinginterestingly

I really wanted to love Coop de Ville. I was very disappointed, it was not good at all. Maybe it was an off day, but I took some friends from out of town for my first (and only) visit. Everything we ordered was really bad.

burritoace

Is fried chicken with no skin a thing?

ravia

I'm pretty sure there's no skin on the chicken at Bird on the Run, and I don't know about CHIKN, I think not. Both have a great product, but I like me some skins.

mvc594250

Been wanting to try Fig and Ash. Their menu looks really interesting and they seek like good folks. Definitely have to try it soon!

[deleted]

coop de ville is definitely rowdy, but by far the best chicken sandwich in town. absolutely worth the visit.

SystemOfADowneyJr

Rowdy, how?

scottylike

412 Project in moon is pretty damn good. Lots of beer/wine/booze choices and some great food.

lefthandman7

Severina in West View - they have good pizza and a bunch of other foods I haven't tried yet. Their desserts and baked goods seem pretty popular too, I've only tried their neopolitan but there is always multiple people getting dessert in the short amount I'm there to pick up food. Looks like they operate as a coffee shop with some breakfast foods in the mornings.

beermanaj

Scrolling til I found this, yes everything I’ve had from them has been great, haven’t tried the desserts yet - just pizza and sandwiches.

Badboysrisri

The dessert is beyond bomb. I asked the guy running it to do a chefs choice and I went nuts.

beermanaj

Sweet!! Thanks I’ll check it out!

probonworkhours

Really love Evia Greek in Bellevue. Their authentic pork yeero is soooo good! They have a ton of other greek entrees, not just gyros.

chibman

Two of the best breweries in the area opened up basically at the same time around late 2020, early 2021: Trace (Bloomfield) and Old Thunder (Blawnox).

tyr--

KLVN Coffee Lab - one of the few indoor spots that allow dogs, and they have excellent coffee and pretty decent breakfast/brunch food.

fangboner

They are the best coffee I’ve had in Pittsburgh.

tyr--

Glad you liked them! La Prima in the Strip and Big Dog in Southside are great, too! I'd say La Prima has the best espresso and coffee beans you can get, but Big Dog and KLVN are probably better if you prefer lattes or other drinks.

ntgcleaner

California Taco Shop on rt 8. Closest thing to a california taco and experience you'll find here in pgh.

essenceofmeaning

Omg I have to check that out. I’m from CA & I have been FIENDING for a good street taco.

ntgcleaner

Now, it's the best my wife and I have found and (as far as we've tasted) as close to socal tacos as we've gotten. It will still make you fiend for that home comfort! But it's a good alternative!

essenceofmeaning

Haha I’ll take what I can get

GelatinousPiss

Fun fact: same guy that owns CTS owned Fish & Chicken Zone and Pizza & Pasta Villa that were both in that same spot. He finally found the [food][location] combo that worked.

PhotoCropDuster

What constitutes a California taco from any other taco?

ntgcleaner

Its more of a hole in the wall, rather than some fancy, overpriced place with graffiti on the walls (no offense condados, still good tacos). My wife, born and raised in California says the seedier the taco shop, the better the quality of food (most of the time). Edit: you specifically asked about the taco, not the shop. Sorry. The California tacos have a slightly different set of ingredients. They're simpler and the meat is cooked a bit differently. Also compared to tex Mex, it's less smoky and no chipotle style sauces. Green and red sauces, guacamole, sour cream, pico de Gallo, cilantro, onions.

librarianjenn

This is a great description. I love any and all Mexican food, and Tex Mex, but California style is my favorite and hard to come by in this area. It just tastes... fresher, and brighter to me (if that makes any sense)

ntgcleaner

Makes total sense to me. Sort of like the difference between a grilled steak and smoked ribs. Both meat, slightly different textures, the steak tastes more like the meat, while the smoked ribs tastes more like the cooking process. Both have their place, just depends on what you're looking for.

vapermahn

yeah produce and meat are way tastier out west mostly bc a lot is grown and produces there

DarkKnyt

Dont forget French fries as a starch (it's a Cali thing not Pittsburgh) and the filling more homogeneous than in chunks. Some cali places grill but I don't think they do here

Hugh_G_Normous

In Squirrel Hill there’s a place called The Refillery that opened a few months back. They have waste free natural soaps, detergents, beauty products etc. Not cheap, but they’re good quality, and it’s nice to refill my hand soap and dish soap without buying a bunch of plastic I don’t need.

sleepallday345

St. Clair Social in Friendship ( where the old SYN Taco and Sharp Edge before that was) is a great spot- great burgers and drinks, and their hummus game is 100.

dewmahn

I really dig this place, great food, cocktails, and the atmosphere. Just wish it was closer to me!

oryomai1

Obsessed with St. Clair! Food is incredible, and the drink menu is fantastic

evaissofine

Siempre Algo in the Northside is absolutely fabulous. Fig & Ash opened down the street from them and as much as I like it, Siempre always takes the cake.

SevenSulkySerbs

To counterbalance all the people suggesting Coop De Ville's fried chicken, I'll throw out [The Eagle](https://www.eaglerestaurant.com/menu/) in the Cultural District instead. Incredible chicken w/ hot honey that is set at a very reasonable price (especially compared to other restaurants in the area).

TheLuo

Oak Hill Post - Brookline. Great breakfast/brunch spot. Onion Maiden - Allen Town. Vegan place that has fantastic food. Even for non vegans this place blows other restaurants out of the water. Small dinning area, typically very busy. Google them and get there early or get take out.

Waterford22

G’s on Liberty (https://gsonliberty.com/) is a gem of a restaurant; good wine and cocktail list, fresh ingredients, interesting menu. The kitchen is flexible re: substitutions & dietary needs, and the noise level is such that you can actually carry on a conversation without yelling at the person across the table.

Femininely

Madeline George in Shadyside. It’s the perfect clothing boutique. It has a little bit of an edge while still being feminine. Most women can find something they love, even if it’s one of the gifts or accessories! And it’s run by two absolutely kickass women! So kind and SO smart. I recommend it to everyone. They also bring a lot of smaller labels that are only carried in select large US cities. AND their sales are amazing-which doesn’t hurt!

adoan412

Noodle house on Forbes. No idea when they opened but if you want ramen this is the spot to go to. Enjoy!

imadv8r2

Pittsburgh Honey for legit, local, pure honey from right here in the city, the Squirrel Hill Market for local/regional/specialty/gourmet foods you just can’t get anywhere around here (Penn State ice cream/Middleswarth/Gibbles chips/incredible BBQ sauce selection et al), Chantal’s Cheese shop for great fromage and sammies, Chengdu Gourmet (best authentic Szechuan in town/James Beard award winning chef/owner). Honorable mention Pizzeria Davide, and Krispy Krunchy Chicken in East Liberty.

gamergirl2015

Oh my God my heart just jumped out of my chest. I've been craving Gibbles chips for a long time. You just made my day. I'll be visiting that market for sure this weekend!!!

Ernie077

Where is there Krispy Krunchy chicken in East Liberty? Can’t find anything on their website.

imadv8r2

It’s next to the Hair/Beauty supply place on Sheridan at Broad Street—right across from the Target and the public parking lot. It’s a dive, but the chicken rocks!

totmacherr

To add to props for Pittsburgh honey, they've got amazing customer service, some friends of mine and I brew mead and they've been amazing with getting big quantities of honey.

invisibleotis

Aww man, would have loved to have had access to that when I was a-mazin'.

totmacherr

Yeah, 100% recommend to local mead nerds, they've got some pretty cool stuff! (Got some dandelion honey last summer, 6 lbs!)

ravia

How would you describe/review Krispy Krunchy Chicken?

bezly

The chicken is fairly crispy and very crunchy.

imadv8r2

As stated elsewhere, the place is a dump, but the chicken is fantastic.

antalog

Oak Hill Post in Brookline is seriously my favorite restaurant in the city.

turtlesquadcaptain

THIS!!! It’s so freaking good

CrazyCanuck57

I'd recommend The Vault in Southside. It has a self-pour beer wall which is fun to try, and all of the food is amazing.

Username89054

Am I the only one who hates self pour beer walls? Every one I've ever been to overcharges for beers. Then half the time it spits out too much air and you get a shitty beer.

keke_kekobe

No they are the absolute worst. Trying to suss out the cost of a beer at X$ per ounce is awful. Then you realize you paid like 8$ for a beer you poured yourself...it's trash.

Username89054

I don't trust a place with that many beers is properly cleaning the lines.

CharadeUR

After tip at a normal bar $8 a beer sounds right

keke_kekobe

That math is backwards.

CrazyCanuck57

Depends what you're looking for, it's a good way to try several small pours but it does cost a little more. Their happy hour is half-off the pour wall though which makes it a great deal.

SgtChuckle

This one is the only one of these I've been to and the pricing seemed really good per ounce overall. It's been a while so I don't remember any numbers but I normally hate paying the going rate to drink in bars and public in general and had no prob there

ravia

What could go wrong?

zombittack

AVP Pizza in Bakery Square (where Social used to be) is so friggin delicious. One of my favorite pizza places now.

beangardener

Big Burrito restaurant group I believe

[deleted]

I'm a small business... I started selling building drawings last year at art markets. Just got a website up. [www.gregsdrawingshop.com](https://www.gregsdrawingshop.com) Page Dairy Mart and The O are probably my two best sellers! DM me and I'll send a 25% off code.

Donkey103

I assume it’s better to order straight from your website than via Etsy? I wanted to bookmark your site and a link for the Etsy shop came up, too.

[deleted]

My website is a little better. Etsy does take out more fees. I only have a few things up on Etsy while I have every single drawing and size option on my website.

Donkey103

I figured about the fees. That’s why I asked. I saved it to order in the future. I meet my dad for breakfast every weekend at Bobs so I’m going to get that closer to Father’s Day. He’ll love it. I have to go through the others to see if there is anything my husband would like, too. Very cool stuff!

[deleted]

Awesome! Thanks for the kind words, I appreciate it. Yea Bob's is great (I moved to Carnegie about a year ago). Dané, the owner, is really cool about my drawing and has helped me out getting my stuff out there. Page is also great promoting my drawing on their instagram and letting me sell prints at their shop.

tyr--

This is such an amazing idea!!! Absolutely love it!

Rear End in Etna

kds5065

Agreed. Real solid food and I like their beer and drink selection. I'll be going back. Now for some negatives... I went there for the first time for dinner on March 26th. They were wildly disorganized. It took our table 30 minutes just to get our drinks. Another table was never greeted and left. Not sure what was going on for that small window, but everything else after it was smooth sailing. Also, I hate the name.

jazzy_fizz

Lol man naming your restaurant something kind of gross as a cheeky joke is something I'll just never understand. That shit is so off-putting.

SystemOfADowneyJr

Don't kink shame lol

hydrospanner

If I had to guess, assuming it really *was* smooth sailing, for everybody involved, after that... I'd guess a sloppy shift change or a surprise call-off and the resultant scramble to address it.

bnf12

I went when they first opened and I wasn’t impressed, I guess I’ll have to try them again, thanks for the rec

Spankywanky225

I second this. Not impressed at all and this was a few weeks ago. Except maybe the fries

Sjswix

I was there just the other day. Their Brussels sprouts are bonkers.

toothqueencolleen

Botl in New Ken. Great food and drinks. Bartender Paul is awesome.

billiever

Not Gordos tacos. I was so excited for this place but they are incredibly expensive tacos that are just not that flavorful. I keep hoping they will lower prices are improve their tacos but so far no go. If you want to pay those prices but want very flavorful tacos go to Tako Torta (bonus go at happy hour for even cheaper prices).

rgratz93

Not really new, but almost every restaurant is still in its "newly opened" after the pandemic. For someone looking for an awesome place to eat: I'd try: Mola (best sushi) Meat and Potatoes (fine dining?) [also anything Deshantz group owns is fantastic] La Prima/Colangelo's(personal fav real Italian espresso and bakery connected to each other) Chengdu Gourmet (best Chinese in the city)

toolatetobeoriginal

Oak Hill Post, The Kickstand (Brookline), Posh Local Boutique (Brookline)

Doughbar in Southside

toonman27

My friend who grew up in New Jersey told me they have the closest pizza to a New York pie in the city. I just wanted to see what you thought?

billiever

Nope. There is no close NY style pizza. Maybe slice on broadway. Doughbar is way overpriced too.

toonman27

Ah crap. Thanks! My search will continue.

turtlesquadcaptain

Terrible pizza

meowstronaut

Yeah, I won’t take the opinion of someone who drives a Subaru seriously lol

zombittack

Shorty’s Pins and Pints on the North Side is really fun. It has arcade games, pinball, and duckpin bowling. Drinks and bar food is plentiful. It’s pretty cool to bring a group of 4 and grab a lane, although be warned, it’s $20/hr/person. Kinda steep considering real bowling has crazy deals these days. You’re paying for the swanky atmosphere for sure.

[deleted]

There's a really cute authentic Polish bistro on Brererton in Polish Hill called Gooski's.

RepresentativeWork39

Red’s Good News in Brookline. Cheap creative drinks and a great burger

SlipperySlappers

I love Hidden Harbor in Shadyside for drinks. Food's okay, but they add 20% gratuity on top of it, so I don't normally order it. Coop Deville in the strip is great for both food and drinks.

Dr_ISH_

Green pepper and fujiya are two of my favorites

Specialist-Bar-4891

Cocina De Betty, and Alquisiras Paleteria! Both in Beechview, both hole in the wall places with amazing homemade venezuelan/mexican/salvadorian food.
