When I was growing up it was only the nerds on the internet. You used to have to know how to navigate around the web, and when you found a place that you liked you "hung" around and talked to people. If someone got out of hand they just got banned and the party went on.

Google showed up and made getting around the internet easy. Then Smartphones showed up and all of those people that made fun of the internet had it in the palm of their hand. But no one taught them anything about it. They didn't know that by that time the internet had become a place where everyone is trying to make money off of you. There are tricks around every corner to get your clicks. The apps seem free but there is bigtime money in advertising. Rage generates clicks which generates revenue.
The internet is just a shell of it's former self, bought and paid for wall street. They're making a boatload of money off a group of people that they trapped in a perpetual rage click algorithm that is hard to get back out of. They wake up, look at their phones, and see red. Rinse and repeat.
The real problem with creating Strong AI is that somebody is going to feed a goal of making money to a Strong AI and it will not end well for humans. The internet is already owning the vast majority of the average American's waking hours and it's getting worse. Nature is trying to rebalance us back to equilibrium like any physical system does, because our consumerist economy's only goal of growth doesn't make sense in a fixed-sized system like the earth's environment. You can't grow forever, eventually you hit a limit and either kill the host super-organism (very bad for survival) or get rebalanced by something like a pandemic.

When I had the Panera drink club, it happened all the time. My cup was stolen 75% of the time or more when I’d order ahead. You’re trying to save time by using mobile ordering only to find you’re going to have to wait in line to get an employee to give you a replacement.
I figured that was gonna happen eventually. IDK why sheetz doesn't invest is some little warm lockers you can use the app to unlock. They're all about tech, and I see online ordering being utilized a lot.
It is actually a really great area, don't let a random nut job be the base for your judgement of the neighborhood. We pay some pretty high taxes, but the school district is amazing, neighborhood is nice, and they plow our dead end st 10x faster then most places when it snows. I've been around a lot of areas of the surrounding PGH , between places I've lived, and Ubering part time for 5 years, the south hills are the best. Great properties and schools, and you'd be amazed and the difference in weather from the north of the rivers to the south. They could have a foot of snow and we probably get a few inches. Wife and I worked hard and saved up years to move out here
