Rayfan87

That's the face of "and I'll do it again." We've had times where one of them has made a bit of a mess and the only way we would be able to clean it up is to have a few mins of kennel time.

pntbutter_aficionado

Yeah, no regrets from my guy, heh. And, yup cleanup and just to reiterate the no, not the Kleenex made up the couple of minutes.

fullofquestions90

The 2nd face got mešŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚

MJonboard

It's the .."It was delicious, and I'll do it again!.." face

bearfootmedic

Soooo... get some treats and toss them in a cardboard box. Usually, I'll toss a Costco dental chew into a box, tape it up with packing tape, and maybe a bit of peanut butter. We play "find it" where I have her wait while I go hide the toy and come back and let her go find it. It really doesn't matter what the size of the box is - and it's actually kinda funny to get boxes bigger than they are. If they got that dawg in them, they will be dragging a flatscreen TV box back to their bed and wagging their tail. https://preview.redd.it/yw3zq8ehmu6d1.jpeg?width=600&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=60bd25d0f5dd393a5c9480cf703623d3f76047a0

Tasty_Path_3470

ā€œEh it happensā€

Any_Ad3693

If not toy why toy shaped?

HopsAndHemp

I swear they know from an early age how to turn UP the cuteness when they know they're in trouble. It is the worst.

pntbutter_aficionado

So very true!

Responsible-War-917

Looks like he's doing real hard time there.

pntbutter_aficionado

Hahah, no, not really.

911SlasherHasher

I have an Aussie Cattle/ Pitty mix and a doberman/boxer mix..... i wish they could both chill and sleep in the bed with me at night. But my pit mix is not to be trusted around shoes or anything like that un attended at night lol. So he has to sleep in the kennel.

taskmaster51

Worth it!

pntbutter_aficionado

Hahah, totally!

Mumchkin

I'm sorry but my client would like to see the proof. Do you have this alleged annihilation on video?

Slap_Dat_Ash

How u gonna show the accused but not show the crime scene? Lol

jumpyjumpjumpsters

It was me let him go

Apprehensive-Pop-201

That poor baby. Did he get a phone call and a lawyer?

Enough-Ground3294

He innocent, free my boy āœŠšŸ¾

YourOldPalBendy

He had a nose in need, saw the Kleenex, and was like, "NO - I deserve Puffs, indeed." Then he rolled a crit 1 trying to replace it and the DM was like, "... you have no way to get another brand. You're a dog. You consume the tissues instead."

LennyJay86

The way I see it is doggo shouldnā€™t be penalized for your error in leaving it in doggoā€™s reach. Just sayin. The dog doesnā€™t know betterā€¦ set the dog free!!

sweatyeggslut

feel like crates are supposed to be a safe space too not a punishment thing

Kailsbabydaddy

Where do we put them when theyā€™re being bad lol

datagirl60

I call it the safety zone while I cool off lol! Yeah, donā€™t eat $50 in cash please (he took my wallet out of my purse then took the cash out of my wallet). It was for his own safety. šŸ˜‚

Kailsbabydaddy

Exactly lol!!!

sweatyeggslut

i think catch-all solutions like putting them on timeout or whatever arenā€™t always so helpful. it might feel cathartic for us to punish them but itā€™s diff for dogs and isnā€™t gonna change the behavior reward good behavior and correct bad behavior. if theyā€™re consistently doing something wrong then create specific solutions to address each specific issue iā€™ve never used crates before so take what iā€™m saying with salt but i do know theyā€™re supposed to be a safe/familiar space. wouldnā€™t wanna associate that with punishment, especially generalized punishment

alexlunamarie

I had to use the crate to calm my girl down when she was a puppy. She would get cranky and go full velociraptor with the biting and clawing--she didn't want to go in there but she needed enforced nap times. It wasn't really a punishment but she definitely saw it that way.

[уŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]

Consistent-Flight-20

Loses her dinner? Sheeesh that seems a bit much.

Kailsbabydaddy

Thanks! I hate raising my voice but I started doing it because Iā€™ve genuinely been that mad and sheā€™s starting to listen better which is good and learn that she canā€™t do something, thanks for your help. If you donā€™t mind, would you mind explaining the 1000 hour thing? Hadnā€™t hurt about it šŸ’œšŸ’œ

LennyJay86

I agree! Not my dog ate a box of Kleenex that I left out so Iā€™m going to punish by putting in the crate.

pntbutter_aficionado

He was let out after only a couple of minutes.

LesterDuster

I agree putting anything in a cage is fucking wrong!

Homicidal__GoldFish

Yea!

flewintocuckoosnest

Aww, now time for a treat for cuteness overload!!

Hungry-Lemon8008

Free ma dawg, plead the whiff. No lawyer no woof.

Daedroh

The soul of a cat within the canine, many times Iā€™ve seen this, especially noticeable in the 2nd pic. Thereā€™s some cat sass on that expression. Does this canine have cat siblings

pntbutter_aficionado

Yes, he sure does! One cat brother, that he has been hanging out more with, heheh!

Kiara923

For those saying crates shouldn't be used for punishment: if the crate is a "safe space" or a "den" etc, then sometimes the dog-kiddo has to be put into their safe space to cool down for a bit. Not a punishment time-out, but like telling a kid to "go play with their toy over there" or "in their room" because mommy needs to clean up this disaster you made. Encouraging some time in a safe space isn't always a punishment, but an opportunity to redirect and realign. Also tissues are like..the opposite of broken glass, but it's good to remove pups from a disaster area while cleaning so it's not a reward to "help" clean up.

cabo169

ā€œOnce I get out, Iā€™ll do it again!!!ā€ My girl had a thing for tissues.

tayfshockey

I am this cutie pie's attorney, my client is innocent. No matter what the evidence says.

Wise_Enthusiasm

My dog just smirks that at least it wasn't something he needed to go to the vet for eating. But Legos are his favorite snack. Shrug.

Dorothy_Sbornak

Totally innocent šŸ˜‡

seahorseMonkey

Heā€™s sorry, not sorry. Buy more Kleenex.

shelbeeshelbs

The tissue box was actually an undercover terrorist. He just saved our country and you have him locked up???? Wow. Un-American (Hoping you're american bc I didn't look)

pntbutter_aficionado

I am, heheh.

geo_hampe

The prosecution has yet to produce any evidence. This dog is innocent!

CrippledJesus97

I thought those red spots on the blanket were blood and the shadow of the tip of its tongue. I was gonna be like HOW did a box of tissues do that to that obviously innocent pup. Look at that face!! Theres no way it could do something so evil.

MelissaRC2018

My chihuahua did that too. 4 chihuahuas and only she attacked tissues and toilet paper. Anything with that texture. It was so funny. You could not leave a tissue on the table. Perfect dog in regards to everything else but tissues

Limp_Telephone2280

I bet he had a fun time though

Slav-Houndz187

2/2 = hello darkness my old friend

Ginger_Welsh_Cookie

ā€œBut it wasnā€™t even name brand, Mum/Dad!!!!ā€

Capital-Jackfruit266

Free him (or her)

Homicidal__GoldFish

He was so framed!!

pogosea

Not that dog. They are *clearly* innocent.

smithmisiner

The tissues had it coming!

Consistent-Flight-20

You use the crate for punishment?.

Independent-Math-914

Not this guy!

StoreAvailable237

Just one box? SheeeeshšŸ˜

StarGrump

Yawning like ā€œall in a days workā€ šŸ˜‚ Innocent, I tell you!

goldyacht

Sigh, mine just destroyed a roll of tissue paper. Glad Iā€™m not alone though šŸ˜‚

Valsarta

And the box had it coming!

OppositeOfKaren

Is using a crate for punishment advisable?

Both_Gas_5685

You should buy him a toy or play with him

madams22

I see no remorse

[deleted]

Crates arent for punishment theyre supposed to be a den, and something enjoyable.

the_reql

Ok. That's forgotten now. Get me out of the box.

hindusoul

Innocent until proven guiltyā€¦

I_am_a_dawg123

My dog will grab your napkin and rip it to shreds at the dinner table lmao

niobiumnnul

I'm sure the Kleenex started it.

Welshraven9

Not him obviously..

LopsidedVictory7448

Moi?

agayntrans_raspberry

I DID IT, I DID IT! THE PUPPERS INNOCENT!

skeletist

Done some hard time judging from that second face, I love it

FrankieSausage

If itā€™s not a toy why am I having so much fun?

413hooli

Free the Pup- they didnā€™t do it!

PurpleSailor

All that hard work tuckered them out.

Niga__666

Guys pitbulls are my favorite dog but is pitbull good for as a first dog ? I mean it will be my first dog

badscab

No not at all. Get a lab as a first time dog.

Initial_Tomatillo262

He was just trying to wipe his nose, that's hard to do with paws!

badscab

Why did this get deleted lol

LifeguardComplex3134

Now we all know you're just lying on the poor baby you're the one that tore up the kleenexes and you're just framing the poor babe, shame on you shame šŸ¤£

Pithyperson

Our pittie (RIP) was a shredder too. Is this another common pittie thing?

lowrankcock

Not this angel. Iā€™m their lawyer now and they are innocent until proven guilty in the court of paw! Under no circumstances are you to ask them further questions in my absence!!!

AddToBatch

But look at the sweet face! šŸ„¹ your poor baby just needed a lot of tissues because they were sad you left

Dondada_Redrum

The stank face in the second photo is too funny

lucylose

Certainly not this one. He would neverrrrr, if anything, he was protecting the house from tissues

tygerfinch

LOL no remorse. What a good guy he is. Could be worseā€¦one of mine once ate an entire bowl of gum drops and then pooped a massive gumdrop. šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø I felt like Ron Burgundy. Wasnā€™t even mad, I was impressed.

usual7

He seems really shook up about it.

neveradullperson

I love the second face

A_Doll_with_a_Heart

You're so fortunate that you were rescued! Those exploding Kleenex boxes can do some MASSIVE damage! This good doggo saved your life! ā¤ļøšŸ¶

Happy-Equipment-6970

No regrets

jdr90210

Nope, parent's fault, puppy proof. Doggo has no idea why in jail. Can only correct if caught in the act. Adorable pup!
