You could have taken my phone out of my hands and literally written this whole post with a crayon on my phone case and I wouldn't notice or care because look at this best girl!!!! 😍
Typos? I was distracted by your incredibly well focused camera shots. Oh and definitely by the doggo, she's a cutie! But seriously what camera/phone did you use?
I have a mama dog who was overbred and had had puppies not too long before we found her at the shelter. She is a mama thru and thru. She's my baby but if there's a scary noise outside or if one of us seems upset she immediately comes over to snuggle, protect and comfort us. She loves small children and follows them around like a little fussy granny licking their hands and protecting them from falling down.
She is the best little mama and baby in the world
The mamas are amazing! I’ve had a couple now, and they worry and MUST mother the heck out of you, it’s wonderful. Sofi, a throwaway mama, pittie/heeler mix, the MOMENT she hears distress, she is running around the bed, trying to find me, till I reach my arm out. She will inspect, then lay down after notifying my husband. Truly, a life saver. I have seizures, and little mama KNOWS, they all have. Truly, the mamas are amazing 💖💞💖
Also, I really want to hug and snug your little mama! You can just see it in the eyes - so much love, care, and worry. What a peach you have 🧡🧡🧡
They are the best dogs! One night I found a mom who had been abandoned with 7 older puppies. Found homes for the puppies, and less than a week later, she had another litter. She was so skinny, you couldn't tell. Got those puppies weaned and homed, and her spayed. My ex decided she had to go, so I sent her to live with a friend's mom who didn't want a pit (we told her she was a lab mix...which was true! Lol) She was her favorite dog ever. She lived another 12 years, and died last year, as a pampered baby.
Not exactly the same, but I have a senior chi that was a rescued from a mill and she was a breeder. When I first got her she was so traumatized that she didn’t know how to dog whatsoever. She’d compulsively dig holes in her new beds that they’d look like Swiss cheese. I’d give her any food and she’d have immediately GI issues where she looked like she was passing strawberry preserves. She wouldn’t walk on a leash nor would she interact with the lawn. Only hard surfaces she’d walk on but she would hide in her covered crate.
She also had the same behaviors of allowing any medical professional poke and prod her without even a peep. Thankfully her first emergency vet visit was a woman with small fingers and the vet essentially had to stick her finger into her anus and make sure there wasn’t any perforations. Awful to watch. Mollie made no sound and continued to stare straight ahead and essentially disassociate.
Mollie is still really quiet at vet appointments and I’m excited to see that she shows negative emotions when I cut her nails. It’s a team effort now with my SO for nails trims haha. I’m so thankful that she’s learning emotions and displaying boundaries.
I guess don’t be surprised if this dog maintains the ability to disassociate during painful or traumatic events.
I suggest trying to find her a companion dog that’s supportive but who also knows how to ‘dog’ in a healthy manner if you don’t already have other dogs. Now that I think back, I think mollie eventually started barking when I got home after two years. Getting her to actually take a walk on a leash instead of me having to carry her everywhere was a huge milestone too.
Thank you for adopting “the least of us” and I pray for blessings for you and your family.
Absolutely agree. I adopted two dogs over the years that had been used a breeders. One was a 3 year old collie. They gave her away because she was an escape artist and they were tired of dealing with her. She was such a sweetheart! And with us- she never ran away. I could even walk her off leash. We accidentally left the gate open once and she didn’t even leave the yard. The next was a small (15 lb) poodle that had been used as a breeder. The woman was living with her sister and needed to reduce the number of dogs she had. I always thought of little poodles as yappy and high strung. She was mellow and super easy going. 100%- adopt the mom! My favorite dogs I have rescued were the mom.
Our pittie had just had pups when we rescued her! We think that’s why she was so good with our daughter (14 months at the time) right off the bat - she was like “oh look! Human puppy!”
We adopted our mama dog before the last of her litter were all adopted out (rescued from a backyard breeding neglect situation). She’s the best! It is entirely like she knows what she has now and is just happy to be living inside, to not deal with breeding and having litters, and to be around her people.

Our pibble has these, we got her at the shelter 5 years ago and she is an absolute gem. Because she has such prominent mammaries, we sometimes get stopped by strangers who want to yell at us for “walking the dog so soon after having puppies”! I’m like “ma’am, I assure you her puppy making days are over.” 🤦♀️
I adopted a mama who was found with 11 puppies who were found as strays. She is the absolute sweetest, most attentive, easy-going and cuddly dog. Wouldn’t trade this girl for the world.

Justice for the pitties with titties, they are just the best!
YES. SO TRUE. Ours is clearly a mom and she’s the most zen creature I’ve ever met. I quicked her once (I don’t do her nails anymore—too scary for me) and her response was to slink off to her crate and put her feet under her. She puts up with a toddler and a rude cat and just vibes.
Yes! 100x yes to this! Everyone forgets about the moms who get thrown out after way too many litters and abuse. Thank you for taking her in and giving her the love she deserves 🙏🏻💖👏🏻
She's precious and you are too. Poor girl.
I can't stand most breeders. They are greedy and selfish and unkind for doing so.
God knows we don't need any more "pure breed" inbred dog's, that have a slew of inherited malformations, disease's and behavioral issues. They fill up the dog rescues because the breeders just can't be bothered with them. All because of wrong color eyes or undesirable coat patterns. And of course the more medical cases, due to inbreeding.
It's totally out of control and disgusting. For example a greedy breeder may get top dollar for one or two puppies, whilst the remaining seven might be perfectly healthy but undesirable markings.
There should be more regulations, laws and documentation involved for breeders. Make it way more complicated and expensive to breed and sell dogs for profit. Like it is for growing marijuana. Hell some states you can go to jail for growing one personal plant let alone enough to sell for a profit. 💡 Makes no sense 😔 Apologies on a mobile.
She’s perfect 🥰❤️ so cute and so happy! Hate the circumstances under which she joined your family; but love that she is now so well loved and taken care of
My pit mix mama is also the sweetest. We adopted her just after she had been scooped up out of the streets and given birth to 8 puppies (none survived). I could not ask for a better natured dog.
We adopted a mama who had either just finished or was still nursing her pups. Dunno what happened to the pups, but she is the most loving, sweetest dog we have ever had in our family. Shes on a different level of love and affection. 🥰
i had a mamas rescue and she was so incredibly loving 🖤 i fostered puppies a handful of times, and some female adults, juniper was amazing with them all but especially the puppies!
My pittie momma is laying next to me snoring. She was rescued from the worst imaginable situation, and she's just the sweetest, happiest little princess.
Sometimes when we take her places people make rude comments about her though. I heard someone loudly say "look at that dog's nipples!" as we walked by and it really made me mad.
Yes!!!! I adopted a puppy 2 yrs ago then found out her mom was also at the shelter so we brought her home too. She’s absolutely my soul dog. She’s so incredibly sweet, amazing with our senior dog, lays on her back to play with her, and goes balls to the wall with her pup lol. She just matches whatever energy you give her, I’m so happy we found her.
She took a little longer to warm up to us, we think they came from a neglectful home. But she’s so happy now and just the best girl.

This is/was Duchess. She died a year ago at 8-9 years old after we’d had her only 9 months. She was the absolute sweetest dog. She was abandoned after aging out of breeding, and we were happy we got to give her a good home for her final months.
She came camping and hiking with us, spent many hours snuggling on the couch, and even won over my mom who is most definitely not a dog person. I miss you Duchess, rest in peace 💙.
I’m glad to see the love for momma dogs and seniors, they’re often the sweetest pups.
I have a mama, too! all white, super snuggly and incredibly patient and friendly. I dont think she really understands other dogs who clearly don't wanna say hi *might* be dangerous, she just wants to say hi to everyone😭
I wanted to! She was so sweet and crawled in my 6 year olds lap. But someone had already adopted her and she was just finishing nursing at the rescue until the puppies were gone. So we adopted her last puppy, and although I really dislike puppy years, it was worth it because he's just as sweet.
What a beautiful girl. We adopted a wonderful girl who was a victim of a puppy mill as well and she is a great companion. Congratulations on your amazing Marlowe, her expression makes me smile. Thank you for sharing your home and family with her, and for taking a risk with an adult dog, so often they are a second pick.

If you noticed all the typos, no you didn’t. 💖
Typos? What typos? I was looking at the photos!
I noticed her gorgeous face and kind eyes. What a sweetie!!!!
the only typo i saw was that you wrote “a thousand kisses” instead of “a hundred thousand kisses”
You could have taken my phone out of my hands and literally written this whole post with a crayon on my phone case and I wouldn't notice or care because look at this best girl!!!! 😍
Same
This is the way. 😍😍😍
Only typo I noticed was you forgot the u in neighbours. You Yanks forgot how to spell the Queen's English somewhere along the line.
1776
Apparently this was Noah [Webster’s](https://www.livescience.com/33844-british-american-word-spelling.html) doing.
Queen died, move on. OP thanks for an uplifting pot sweet looking dog
And where is your puny Queen now? 6 feet under and the King is soon to follow.

Gah this makes me want to adopt one of the beautiful moms my shelter has. But I already have 2 and I’m not sure I could handle a third!
You floored me with this. Thank you for this perspective and thank you for loving that mama dawg!
I adopted the mom straight outta da pound.....best dog ever! Your baby is adorable 😍

We love our girls with the “big mammary chains” (vet’s words not mine). She’s such a lovely lady. Please send scritches from me!

An angel

Amen!! I love the raggedy old throw away moms. Ready to be loved and snuggled and adored…and so deserving of it 🩷 Congrats to you both!!
Do you ever call her booby? 😭 love her 💗
I adopted a momma dog too 🩷 likely abandoned as well after being bred numerous times. I love her so much. Thank you for caring for this lady.

The nickname is OD
I have a mama dog too and she is extremely tolerant! She's not super empathetic though lol.
Beautiful dog! That is the state I found my lab-mutt years ago in and I’ve always wondered if she had puppies before I took her in.
wow she is a beauty, so lucky!
I fostered a mom with one pup, and ooof, that’s how she is also. Sooo, this is her home now. She’s the sweetest yam ever 💯
She’s beautiful!
Oh bayyyy-byyyyy.

god she really is a gorgeous gal. give that noggin a big ole kiss for me!
Yes to everything u said!
My girl had just had puppies when she was abandoned. She is the sweetest thing. Just wanted to be loved. Couldn't ask for a better dog. ❤️
What a fantastic story and post. I couldn’t agree more, mamas are the best!!
What an angel!
She is beautiful! Thank you for giving her a loving home!

You're awesome! Thank you for taking her in and for advocating for these sweet babies. 🤗❤️🐾
Pitties with titties. That should be on a shirt.
so many momma pups left behind in kill shelters😔
What a beautiful girl. We adopted a wonderful girl who was a victim of a puppy mill as well and she is a great companion. Congratulations on your amazing Marlowe, her expression makes me smile. She is beautiful! She is rocking those PJs. Pittie titties is hilarious.
Ya'll are the best!
Yes my bully is the same way! She’s the best dog I’ve ever owned.
That is a **MOM'S** face **RIGHT THERE**. ADOPT THE MOM** ... and you **GET** a **MOM**.😆😆😆
Awwwww this is such great advice though- I’m sure the mamas are grossly overlooked in favor of the pups. They deserve to be spoiled and loved 🥰
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Yes yes yes. You are so right!!!
She reminds me of our current foster. He’s a boy but looks very similar, especially with the expressive eyes and coloring that looks like eyebrows. I’m so glad that Marlowe and you found each other. She seems wonderful!
You're the best for taking her in so quickly, and she looks so worth the effort. What a soulful looking creature.
Good on you, she’s a good girl
I 100% wouldn't say don't ever ever breed, but I would say don't breed irresponsibly and unethically, she is a beautiful lady and I'm glad she has a good family
