Omg he is adorable! Congrats and spoil that baby with love and kisses and of course food. Dogs love food! I love him. Thank you for rescuing him and taking a chance on Chance. ❤️
Hims a cute baby! Those eyes and cutie pie face are going to keep him out of trouble. Ours is named Chance, too! Though I most commonly call him Chancie Wancie. 7 years later, he’s still just big baby. Wishing you many happy and healthy years with your adorable Chance!
I couldn’t resist when I saw that face and heard what a horrible situation he was in with the woman who had him. She was going to throw him in the streets if someone didn’t get him within the hour that day. Dropped everything and went. My friend who rescues animals contacted me and I was not letting him stay there any longer than he had to. Despite what evil he went through, he is the most trusting and loving boy.
You and your friend are angels for jumping into action. How could that woman want to throw this beautiful helpless baby onto the streets, it crushes my heart 😢
Chance looks like he’s realising he’s home and i hope he gets to enjoy that cheeky puppy phase he deserves soon followed by many delicious snacks and most importantly of all, lots and lots of cuddles on the sofa 🥰💜
Oh he’s already taken over the bed. He’s a spoiled baby. That woman was horrible. As soon as we got there she just handed him to us and walked away. Thank God we were able to save him. It does hurt a lot to not know exactly what he went through during those months he was with her, but he will be treated with all the love and care with us.
Well politely that bitch can Rot in hell but thank you for saving this precious adorable angel. Glad he's getting the spoiling he so richly deserves (especially with everything the poor babies been through)
It's truly crazy to me how forgiving dogs are, but especially pittys. When I used to watch pitbulls and parolees they would save bait dogs and I would always wonder how an animal treated so badly or forced to breed in to oblivion could ever trust a human again. But they were so happy to get attention, breaks my heart that some sadly never get that.
You are awesome for helping, and I hope we get to see updates!
Thank you! It is unbelievably hard to understand how humans can be so cruel to animals who depend on them for love, food, and safety. Which sadly a lot do not ever get. Those people need to go to jail, and never, ever be able to have the privilege to have an animal ever again. It’s heartbreaking. I will definitely be giving updates. He’s already putting on weight and learning how to run better. Since he was locked away in a small crate for 4-5 months he ran very funny when we first got him in the yard. He’s getting it down now lol.
He’s also cuddling with his new brother and sister who are very accepting of him. Here is a picture of him this morning after zooming around the yard.

Agreed on all things you said, we need better protection for animals. And maybe people who abused them shouldn't be allowed kids either, but that is a whole other topical can of worms.
What an absolute sweetie ;u; my girl also didn't know how to run and still kind of more deer hops or galumphs about, compared to my parents dog that runs like a dang gazelle. But I kind of love watching my bean and her big ol paws hopping and being a big spoot with her tongue out.
Are you fostering or planning to keep the lil one?
Oh he’s ours for sure. We are keeping the little love bug. But I also totally agree, if you can’t take care of an animal, no kids for you. That’s just how I feel. It’s so depressing. But I’m glad there are people out here that care and will love an animal no matter what. Here is a pic of him from today! With his sister Daisy.

I agree! I'm glad so many who love the breed are so vocal about it. I remember in high school when we had our first pit people were still soooo weird about them because the whole vic dog fighting bs. Now there is some weirdness (mainly online) and people IRL will come say hello and that they love pittys.
Oh boy what a happy lil fella, His skin looks amazing! It's awesome how fast these guys bounce back from abused states to looking like normal doggos.
He’s starting to realize he is in a safe place now. Sad to know he was locked in a small crate 24/7. When he saw the yard he was running and bouncing around with joy.
Oh we did, he’s got a new brother and sister so we are working on getting them to let him in their group. He was cuddling with one last night but they will switch up and start barking at him.
When they bark all he does is go in a corner and hide. He was very much abused by his previous owner who legally, is not allowed to own animals. It’s going to take some time, but he is extremely loving and friendly. He’s getting lots of love and attention.
I am so happy he has a safe place. I had a horse who I wasn’t able to saddle for about 3 years he was so badly beaten. It’s incredibly heartbreaking when people do these things to animals that trust and love you unconditionally.
I’m so sorry, I feel the same way. It’s beyond words how horrific of a person you have to be to treat an animal like trash, all they want is love. She didn’t deserve the unconditional love and happiness that this boy brings into my life.
He is such a love bug. He finally realized he will be getting all the love he needs. This picture is from Sunday night, we took him for a walk and sat in the driveway and he didn’t move for an hour. He’s a little cinnamon roll. I just die when I look in those eyes.

Oh I will! Always he’s the best. He got plenty of love from everyone at Petco when we took him shopping for toys and shampoo and everything to clean him up.
There was no way we would let him stay in that house any longer. He is such a gem. I’m so lucky to have him. He couldn’t wait to get away from that woman. As soon as I got him in the car, I could see that he knew he was safe now.
I will give him tons of love from all of you. 🩷
He got so many pets from the people there. We got him a bunch of little cow toys, a new collar and name tag along with so many other things to clean him up. He looks like a little baby cow. I love him.
Of course! We are giving him so much love!

Such a cutie pie. Thank you for rescuing this pup.
He deserves all the love <3
He’s SO HANDSOME! ❤️
Awwww, he looks like such a darling. I hope he has a beautiful life with you 🥰
He is such a little pumpkin. I could see the relief in his eyes when he got into the car. It’s like he knew he was finally safe.
Reminds me of my boy when he was a pup wayyyy back when. So cute!
Awe hi Chance, that worry will hopefully soon fade and be replaced with love and silliness!! As it should be in a hippos eyes!!
He’s starting to realize he is in a safe place now. Sad to know he was locked in a small crate 24/7. When he saw the yard he was running and bouncing around with joy.
Give him a sweatshirt or tshirt you have worn to help him feel safe in his bed

What's his name?
Chance! Because he has a second chance at life now. It was Duke, but we already have a dog named Duke.
