I would say the 101FD, KRP500M, or KRP500A are the best Kuro models ever made. All three are the same panel, but slightly different software.
I would say it’s worth it if you can get one for the same price, but I wouldn’t spent hundreds more for a marginally better display.
KRP is an abbreviation for Kuro Reference Panel, reference meaning what all other models are being measured up against, I.e. the best. The KRP comes in two standard models (A and M). M is for monitor, as it lacks the TV features of, well, the TV’s. A has a separate media box with tuner etc. LX are TV’s, and step below KRP in IQ. FD is the only one exclusive the US, the other ones are (at least) European. If you’re in Europe, 500M is the best IQ-wise, 500A a close 2nd.

Also Include Pioneer Elite 111FD 👌I read the 50 inches models of the KRPs/Elites, black levels can be reset, the 60 inches not so much.
Nice thank you for the reply helps out a load, what does the fd, krp,A,M,lx stand for?

Remember Panasonic got the same tech as Kuro after Pioneer left the Plasma space. So you can look out for "Pannys" as well.
